Talented Prince

After School BLUE “Wonder Boy”

*********************

Tao’s POV~

The bell rang, signaling the end to this dreadful day. I gathered my stuff from my desk and as I was about to walk out, when two girls blocked my way.

“Ne, what’s your name?” One of them asked me in that high squeaky voice I find to be irritating and unnecessary.

“Tao.” I replied, hoping for them to move out of the doorway. But the both of them wrapped their arms around my own, each one on either side. The other girl piped in, batting her fake lashes at me.

“Ne Tao-oppa, since you’re new do you want us to show you around? Give you and exclusive tour?” I pried my arms out of their grip and replied in a cold tone,

“I’ll be fine on my own, thanks.” And walked around them, not bothering to hear any more of their offers or pleas. The least of my concerns were a bunch of girls trying to seek a guy’s attention. I was exhausted from this school day, I had an after school detention, and I had to endure another long bus ride only to come home and start the pile of homework the teachers loaded on me already.

Crap, after school detention.

The thing slipped my mind and I sprinted downstairs to my locker, knowing Eunjae’s probably wondering where I am.

Eunjae’s POV~

I leaned against the locker, balancing on the edge of my heels. The crowd of students already cleared and the hallways were almost empty of people. I heard a faint squeaking sound of rubber sliding against the linoleum floors, as if someone abruptly turned a sharp corner, and I turned to my right to see Tao sprinting towards me.

He stopped in front of me and said,

“Sorry I forgot I got after school detention for an hour today, I’ll tell you the details later. Do you think you’ll be alright going home alone?” I sighed, wanting to scold him for getting detention on the first day of school but decided against that. I jokingly flicked the side of his forehead and said,

“Pabo, I’m not planning on going home without you. I’m gonna explore around a little. Let’s meet up in front of the school after you’re done detention?”

Tao ruffled my hair and told me that he’ll text me once he gets out.

“Don’t do anything stupid!” He yelled behind him as he ran off to the detention class. I gave him a merong sign and turned around, deciding to go on an adventure of my own through this new school.

I managed to walk up the several flights of stairs until I hit the art wing. This was a part of the school that majored in art electives; singing, acting, dancing, creative writing, photography, etc. I peered into the classroom; amazed to still find some students sitting in a brightly lit room with smocks on, trying to finish their masterpiece paintings and sculptures.

This school is no joke. I looked through some of the music rooms and was in awe when I saw the gleam of musical instruments leaning against the walls, hanging off the walls, and sitting in their cases. The music room was filled with perfect rows of stands and chairs, waiting for their owners to come in and play a piece conducted by the conductor.

The school even had some recording studios. Seeing some of the latest technological equipment, only professional singers and producers use, in the school’s room was amazing. I couldn’t believe they had such a great recording studio, already imagining the amazing artists that are capable of debuting from here.

But what really drew me in was the faintest sound of music echoing through the halls. I let my ears be my guide as I stumbled upon the dance studio. I peered in every room, one-by-one until I came up to the biggest one at the end.

It had mirrors at every wall and there was only one person dancing in the room, completely entranced by the rhythm and beats the stereo was blasting.

He was so focused and dedicated to his moves; it was as if he was in his own world. His moves were so precise and clean, smooth and fluid, controlled and professional. I was in a complete daze, not wanting to miss a second of his choreography.

He’s amazing, so cool.

I praised him in my mind. My memory was soaking in every single one of his moves, wondering who this powerful dancer could be.

Yet when the music faded away he stopped and turned around, letting me get a clear view of his face.

Kai’s POV~

I turned around to get a drink from my gym bag and saw a head duck down from the door’s window. I couldn’t help but smirk.

These fans won’t ever stop will they?

I didn’t bother chasing after the girl, not wanting to waste that energy. I took a sip from my Gatorade bottle, wiped away some sweat with a towel, and went back to the front of the room where my IPod was plugged into the stereo system. I scrolled through my track list until I found the song I was looking for and continued my dancing, wanting to think up some new moves before I had to get home.

Eunjae’s POV~

My heart was still racing from the nanosecond of eye-contact. I wasn’t prepared for him to turn around, let alone see him see me staring at him!

I was still leaning against the door, slouched over as my hands covered my burning cheeks.

So he’s handsome, popular, rich, AND an amazing dancer?

He’s the perfect prince…

I heard the music turn back on and took it as my cue to run before he changes his mind and decides to recognize me.

I couldn't help but put a little hop in every step, giddy at my discovery.

He's my first crush, is this why every girl in those dramas act so happy all the time?

Kai’s POV~

I stopped in the middle of the song when I heard my phone ringing, its ringtone echoing off the mirror walls.

“Yobseyo?” I answered as I wiped away any excess sweat from my brow and cheekbones. I heard that familiar seductive laugh as the queenka invited me,

You up for some fun tonight?

I leaned against the walls, sinking into the ground as my muscles relaxed.

“Depends, what kind of fun are you talking about?” I teased back. I could practically visualize that smirk forming on her lips.

I have some info you might wanna hear. Meet me at Seoul Beats in 3 hours.” And she hung up, not leaving me a choice to reject her offer. Nevertheless I got up and called my driver to pick me up. It’s a rare chance when she wants to meet up just to exchange some info, so whatever it is must be something … valuable.

Chapter 52: I finished reading this really quick. I knew Eunjae and Tao would end up together. But I felt like the part with Kai seems left out, his father wanting him to be better. Kai is a jerk but you almost make him seem redeemable with the way he always have to be the perfect guy with good grades.
Also I don't know why I'm thinking that even if Eunjae is younger, it would have been a funny twist if Kai's sister who ran away was her.
