Chapter 19: Troubles.

Your POV:

The sunlight brightened over my face, waking me up. I slowly opened my eyes and got surprised when I saw Youngmin’s face in front of me. His arms were around my waist and our faces were very close, I could feel his warm calmed breath. My heart was beating so fast and my breath shortened.

Youngmin suddenly pulled me even closer, but this time pulling my head over his chest.

-      Gaein… -he whispered in his dreams.

His sweet voice saying my name took my breath away. He was pressing his warm and comfortable body against me. I closed my eyes and snuggled my head on his warm chest smelling his sweet masculine scent. I suddenly reacted and realized of what I was doing. Why are you like this Gaein? He’s just your friend, remember?

-      Good morning lovebirds. It’s time to go to the school. –I heard unnie said. Wait… what! Unnie saw us sleeping together! Arghh this is so embarrassing.

Youngmin woke up and looked at me with widened eyes. He sat on the couch and looked at Unnie.

-      Noona! –he said... scared and embarrassed, more like freaking out inside.

-      Good morning! –Unnie said smiling. –Get ready, I’ll make the breakfast.

Youngmin looked at me embarrassed. I was also very embarrassed about this situation, I know we didn’t do anything, we just fell asleep on the couch, but it was very embarrassing because unnie saw us like that.

-      I already called Hyunseong and he told me he will come with your school uniform.

-      Uhh… thank you noona. –Youngmin said looking down.

-      Now, hurry up and take a shower… but not together. –Unnie said and smirked.

-      Unnie! Please stop! –I whined.

I felt my face heated up turning red like a tomato. Youngmin’s ears were also very red.

I headed to the bathroom and got ready. When I went downstairs the breakfast was on the table. Youngmin was sitting across Unnie. I sat down next to Youngmin.

-      C’mon. Eat well. –Unnie said smiling.

We ate in silence. I think Youngmin was also dying of embarrassment like me. Unnie finally spoke and broke the silence between us.

-      Guys don’t worry. I didn’t misunderstand what happened yesterday. I understand that you both are in love, but you have to respect each other no matter what, ok? You know, at your age there are a lot of hormonal changes and sometimes you can get heat up by your emotions and by the moment but…

-      Unnie! –I said upset. –I can’t believe we’re having this conversation! –I said embarrassed.

-      But it’s necessary to have this conversation. I know that Youngmin and you are good guys, but I don’t want to be aunt, not yet.

-      Unnie!

I took my schoolbag and got out home. Youngmin bowed and followed me

Youngmin’s POV.

I said goodbye to Noona while Gaein dragged me with her. She’s so cute when she’s angry. She hadn’t even realized that she was still holding my hand while we were walking to the school

-      Yah! Do you think is funny? –She said upset.

-      It’s just that I never imagined that Bora Noona would bring that up, and your reaction was actually pretty funny.

-      Yah! Youngmin-ah! –she said. The truth was that I was very happy that she was holding my hand. I squeezed her hand and smiled. She glared at me. –I can’t believe she said that, it’s so embarrassing! –She said blushing.

-      You’re so cute! –I said pinching her cheeks chuckling.

-      Stop laughing, it’s not funny!

-      Yes, it is. – I said smiling. She looked away embarrassed. She’s such a cutie. – C’mon Gaein, cheer up! –I said tickling her.

-      Ha ha ha ha ha! –she laughed.

I smiled at her. She looks happy. Her smile is the only thing that makes me feel better. But that smile disappeared when we got in front of the school. A lot of reporters were there taking pictures of us. I protect her hiding her face and walked in the school where they fortunately can’t come in.

-      Youngmin, what’s going on? –Gaein said confused.

-      I don’t know… -I said clueless.

-      Wow Gaein, I never thought you would be that kind of girl. –Hyuna said smirking and handed us a tablet with a web article.

I read the headline: “Youngmin and his girlfriend slept together?” my eyes widened, a picture of me entering to her apartment and then another of us going out together of her apartment.

-      Internet is fast, right? – Hyuna said.

-      Did you tell them about us? – I said boiling of anger. In this moment, I would punch her face so hard if she wouldn’t be a girl.

-      What if I did it? The world would find it out someday anyway. –She said. I made a fist with my hand but Gaein caressed my hand relaxing it.

-      Anyway, I don’t care. I’d probably get in trouble with my company, but that’s all. – I said and took Gaein with me away from the . She looked at me with guilty eyes.

-      I’m sorry. I didn’t want to get you in trouble. –she said.

-      You didn’t get me in trouble, Hyuna did. I’m the one who has to be apologizing. You’re the one who is going to be very affected with this. But don’t worry. I’ll explain everything to my manager and to the press.

-      You should tell them the truth. You know, that we’re not really dating. – She said. I felt a hole in my heart. It hurt me, a lot, but I guess it was the best for her. It’s not like is true; after all, we’re nothing more than friends.

-       Yeah, you’re right. We should stop with this. – I said and sighed.

-      I think it is better that we stay apart from each other at least for now. – Strike two. Do you really want to kill me?

-      Why? We’re good friends! –I said upset.

-      If we want them to believe we’re not dating, we have to stay apart.

-      If we want them to believe it, or if you want Chunji to believe it. –I said rolling my eyes.

-      It’s not like that. –she said shaking her head.

-      It is and you know it. – I said.

-      Why do you still believe that? –she said angry.

-      Because I saw the way you looked at him yesterday! –I said holding back tears.

-      Youngmin. –she took my hand. – I’m so scared of those girls, can’t you see it? Why do you think I kept in secret my relationship with Chunji before?

-      They won’t do anything to you if you stay by my side. –I said holding her head in my hands.

-      Do you think is right to keep a lie? –she said. I released my grip and sighed.

-      No, I don’t. –I sighed. – But I can’t stand the Hyuna is doing this to hurt you. Can’t you see what she’s doing? She’s trying to separate us, and you’re letting her win.

-      She won’t separate us. Because you are the best friend I’ve ever had, and that will never change.

-      “Friend” –I muttered.

-      I know that you are worried about me. But I promise you I will also stay away from Chunji, okay? I won’t come back to him. I promise. –she said sincerely. –It will be just for a couple weeks. I will get concentrated in my work and you should concentrate in yours.

-      Okay. –I said defeated.

-      Why do you make me feel so bad about it? –she said and sighed. I looked at her puzzled. –You make me feel like if we were really a couple breaking. –she said with a weak smile.

-      I just feel bad because Hyuna is always ruining everything.

-      It’s ok, everything will be normal in a couple weeks, trust me. –she said smiling. –Well, I have to go to class. –she said and turned to the other direction.

I sighed and tried to calm down, I was freaking out inside. I feel like she doesn’t realize about my feelings, but I feel also afraid that she does, because I don’t know how she would react.

It’s funny how I’m the one who is always telling her that her relationship with Chunji used to be a lie, when my relationship with her is also a lie.  I mean, sometimes I believe she sees me as more than a friend, but I perfectly know is not like that.

Chunji’s POV:

I looked at the news and gulped. Did they sleep together last night? I tried to remember what happened last night when I got to her apartment.

*Flashback*

I was feeling dizzy. I wanted to die in that moment. I needed her like I never did before. I pressed her body against mine and even when I was drunk, I could feel my beating heart.

She yelled at me, telling me to stop. Can’t she see that she’s everything for me? Suddenly, someone pulled her away from me. It was Youngmin. I fell on the floor.

Gaein helped me to stand up and gave me a glass of water. I laid on the couch. She pressed some ice wrapped with a towel on my forehead. I held her hand. I miss her so much.

-      Gaein-ah, please don’t leave me. I love you. –I said weakly.

*End of flashback*

Now, I feel everything is over. But I can’t give in. I have to fight for her no matter what. Youngmin can’t take her away from me. If he does, I won’t be able to be happy again…
