Chapter 1: Cheater.

You tapped your fingers on your desk and pretended to be taking notes with your left hand. School was so boring without them, especially without your beloved Chunji Oppa. You missed everything about him, his smile the most. Your lips curved upwards by just the thought of him being back next to you.

"Miss Yoon Gaein, what would be the answer then?" The teacher raised up his voice.

You looked up puzzled and lost. Then you stared at the blackboard who had written letters and numbers together in an order that was unreadable to you.

"Mmm… two?". You answered with a random number.

"It’s 3x²+5y-4=0. Please pay attention Miss Yoon"

'Whatever, I hate algebra, it’s so nonsense. I’m a music composer. Will algebra be useful in my life? No! I don’t know why I have to study this'

After some more torturing algebra exercises (you didn’t bother either in paying attention), the bell rang and you rushed to the library as fast as a hare.

In usual days, you would have lunch with Chunji, well Teen Top and your best friend Hyuna at the cafeteria. But since they left to Jeju Island for filming a movie for what it seemed the longest six months of your life, now you were staying at the school's library reading novels at break time. It was something you couldn't avoid; reading all those fluff and fantastic books full of romance.

 Your phone vibrated at the middle of your reading session. The excitement rolled over your body. 'It must be Chunji'. You thought and read the text message you just received 

From: My adorable boyfriend.

'Hi yeobo, how are you? I miss you so much :( But don’t worry, there’s only two more days left and I will be there at Seoul with you ;D'

Definitely you had the best boyfriend ever, or that's what you thought after looking at his picture on your phone’s screen. He was sweet, cheesy, caring, handsome, and adorable. He was absolutely the best boyfriend you could ever have (even though he was the only one)

Your fingers pressed quickly over the phone screen answering immediately the message.

To: My adorable boyfriend.

'I miss you Oppa. Everything is so boring without you here :( But I will wait for you :) saranghae <3'

After some minutes, Chunji sent you a picture he had just taken. A laugh escaped from your lips. Yes, you forgot to mention in the description of your perfect boyfriend that he was also pretty funny.

From: My adorable boyfriend.

'What do you think about my new style? xD'

An image file was attached, with a selfie of Chunji wearing bunny ears and pinky cheeks.

To: My adorable boyfriend.

'I think it’s cute ;)'

After texting back, the bell rang and you came back to classes. The hours passed till it was time to go back home. You opened the door of the apartment where you lived at. Your Unnie wasn't there yet. So you supposed she was out working. You made something to eat since you were hungry and did your homework. 

Once you were finished, you decided to work on composing. You had to write a song for the rookie group of your Unnie's entertainment. The name of the boy group was Boyfriend, which you thought was a weird name. But you couldn't care less about the name or whatever about them. Your job was just to hand the song to the CEO's and that was all. 

Yoon Bora, your sister, arrived to your apartment. She said hello and hugged you too tight. You loved your sister so much. But sometimes you thought her over affect demonstrations were too much. Even so, she wasn't frequently around home, so you were glad you both could have dinner together.

"Gaein, I have to go to work, so please take care, ok?"

Bora dried her hands after washing the dishes.

"Yes, Unnie. I’ll watch M! Countdown and then go to sleep"

"Ok, if you need something call me."

"Don’t worry Unnie I will be fine"

You put your thumbs up, reassuring her not to worry about you.

" My dongsaeng is so cute!"  Bora pinched your cheeks like they were made of gum.

"Unnie please!" You whined.

"Ok, I’m leaving. Bye!" Bora waved her hands.

"Bye Unnie!"

You jumped to the couch and the TV to watch M! Countdown. Boyfriend, the group from your sister's company was performing a song named "I'll be there". You realized they sang very well and they were talented. Their voices had improved since their debut song. The only thing you knew about them was that the boy named Hyunseong was dating your sister. Even though he was your brother in law, you had a distant relationship with all of them.

You thought maybe your Unnie was right when she told you to know new people and make new friends. It was like Chunji was your entire world. 

It was getting late, so you put on your pajamas and went to bed. Before falling asleep you checked your cellphone and you had a message from your sweet and lovely Chunji.

From: My adorable boyfriend.

'Today will be the premiere party. I’m so excited, I want to come back. I can’t wait to see you. Saranghae <3'

A big smile formed on your lips. You couldn't wait to see him either. Your life couldn't be more perfect with him by your side. You closed your eyes wishing to dream of Chunji.

The sunrise illuminated the room. The alarm clock was ringing without stop, but you refused lazily to wake up. You heard Bora's voice and felt how your shoulder was being shaken.

"Gaein-ah wake up. You have to go to the school"

"Arasso, arasso. I’ll take a shower" You finally stood from bed and went to the bathroom to wash up.

"Ppali! Ppali! We’re going to be late"

Bora was so annoying in the morning. You went to the kitchen to have breakfast. You took some chocolate cereal and poured some milk in your big green bowl. Your eyes felt sleepy while you were eating.

'Yesterday was the movie premiere of “Be my girl” at Jeju Island starring Hyuna of 4minute and Chunji from Teen Top'

You dropped the spoon and put all of your attention on the TV News report about the movie of your beloved Chunji and your best friend Hyuna. You listened carefully to the news girl.

'But it seems the love in the set wasn’t fictional. Yesterday at the party after the premiere they were seen kissing and we have this pictures as prove. Congratulations to the new couple! Unfortunately, I guess their fans will be very depressed about it. In other news, the rookie group Boyfriend…'

That wasn't happening. Maybe you were still dreaming, that was the best possibility of what you just had heard. Your senses dropped off and you felt being taken aback from reality.

"I didn’t know they were dating. Did you know about it? I mean, they are your friends, right?"  

Bora munched a toast while watching the TV, without even noticing your reaction.

"No, I didn’t know about it"

You muttered.

"Thanks for the breakfast Unnie, I’m leaving."

Maybe it was a misunderstanding. Maybe their manager told them to act like they were together for giving rating to the movie. Yeah, it must be that.  Or at least that was what you wanted to believe. You called Chunji several times, but he didn’t answer his phone.

'Please trust Gaein, trust. You love him and he loves you, there must be an explanation for this. Just calm down and stop crying like an idiot' 

Those kind of thoughts repeated on your head over and over again. You knew him, and that was the first reason of your denial. Still, there was a sting in your chest, bringing your feet down on earth. Telling you it was quite possible, although you didn’t want to believe it.

"Sorry."

A guy muttered and picked up your books that were on the floor. You stared at the floor with teary eyes.

"Are you ok?"

The young boy bended to take a look at your face, covered by your straight long hair. He thought he hears some sobs coming from your mouth.

"Yes, I’m fine"

You simply answered and took the books from his hands without looking up.

"I think I know you, but I can’t clearly remember"

The blond tall guy tilted his head.

"I don’t think so"

You walked away with a broken heart.

The time lapsed without getting an answer from Chunji about the incident. It had been the worst day ever to the point you didn’t even take any meal.

You laid on bed and a tear ran out from the corner of your eye. You weren't able to sleep thinking about what your heard on the news. That picture couldn't get out of your head. You just hoped the next day, the things could get cleared. You just hoped he could explain all of this and be happy ever after...together, as always, just as he promised.
