Naomi met up with her best friend after school.

"Jae oppa." She said sadly, as she sat down.

He ordered her hot chocolate and a chocolate Belgian waffle. They waited until her food came before they said anything.

"What happened?" He asked her.

"He won't talk to his father for me." Naomi sighed.

"Then, Mi, you have to give him up." Jaebeom stated the obvious.

"I know, but still why wouldn't he fight for me?" She sighed again, unable to comprehend the one thing that mattered most.

"Like he said that he has feelings for me. That he doesn't want to be with Chaerin but he can't go against his mom. But his friends told me all he had to do was talk to his dad. And it would be okay. And I'm not going to be a mistress or whatever when he marries her." Naomi blurted out.

"Mi, you know i already know." Jaebeom said. "What are you going to do now?" He asked.

"I don't know. Maybe I should go back to Texas, go to Harvard Law School or Yale. Whatever. Become a lawyer like how my dad wants me to." Naomi said in a defeated tone.

"You'll move back to America and just leave everything behind and do what your dad wants you to do?" Jaebeom asked incredulous.

"Yeah. I mean, I just want to forget everything. And I can't if I have to see him everyday on TV or on magazines, or hear my friends talking with their boyfriends. I mean I love them, but I am not strong enough to do that." Naomi sighed sadly.

"But you could try do music in America too." Jaebeom suggested.

"Also true, but don't you think it's harder?" Naomi asked.

"Not really. You forget I have friends, Mi." He said pointedly.

"You?" She said, confused.

"You didn't think I was going to let you go alone, did you?" He raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Oh. Umm.. I never thought of that." She said quietly.

"Yes, I'm not letting you go alone and it's not like I can stop you once you make up your mind, so let's start saving money." Jaebeom cleared his throat.

Naomi smiled, remembering how hard-headed she could be, "Yeah my mind is made up. And that might not be necessary." She took out her phone, searching her contacts until she found the right one.

"Unni. I need help."
