"Get up, Asami. You don't want to be late for your first day of school, do you?" my okaasan yelled.

Groaning, I dragged myself out of bed to get ready. I hadn't overslept by that much, just by 5 minutes. But that extra minutes would be helpful getting the knots out of my hair. I'm not a terribly appearance concerned person, but I do like it when my hair is tangle-free.

I sleepily brushed my teeth then took a shower which woke me up.

My mom had ironed my uniform last night and it was hanging in my closet. The uniform wasn't that bad, it was pretty comfortable surprisingly. 

I fixes the straps and pulled down the skirt a little more, looking in the mirror. I twirled happily satisfied with it and my hair had finally behaved into little soft waves.

"Asami!! Breakfast!!" my mom yelled again.

"Haiii, Okaasannnnnn!!!" I picked up my backpack and rushed downstairs.

Sitting at the table was my appa, you might be wondering why my mom is Okaasan but my dad is appa. Well it's really simple. I'm full Japanese, my name is Jo Asami. My Okaasan married a Korean man after my Otoosan passed away. I was very young when that happened. So my step-dad who I love like my real dad asked me to call him appa.

Which I do, but Okaasan wanted to make sure I still remembered my Japanese heritage so I know Korean and Japanese.

I finished my breakfast quickly and took my bento box from my mom. I threw my arms around her for a tight hug, "sayonara Okaasan~" I kissed my appa on the cheek. "Annyeong, appa~" 

"Have a great first day!!" My mom called.

"Ittekimasu!!" I called out before I left the house. 

Seoul Kiss High School wasn't that far from my house so I could walk to school.

When I reached the gate, I took a deep breath, and walked in. My classroom was on the second floor, 2A.
