Park Jae Hwa
Winning Over The F4 Players
*Good morning Jae Hwa! YOU BETTER WAKE UP NOW!*
"Ughhhh...." I groaned as I heard my brother's voice yell at me. I reached to shut off the alarm. This is what I get for letting him customize my alarm clock.
I had school today, time to get ready. My brother did me a favor yesterday and ironed my uniform for me. So it was waiting for me. After a shower, I went and got changed. I tried to fix my hair as much as possible. Make my bangs go the right way and smooth out the skirt so it was lower. I also made sure the socks didn't squeeze my thighs too much.
I sighed, I wasn't satisfied with it but I had to get to school so I went to the living room.
There was a plate of food waiting for me, with a note.
"Hey lil sis~ have fun at school today okay? Don't get into too much trouble... Here's breakfast." it read in my brother's bizarrely neat handwriting.
I picked up half of the sandwich and took a bite. Hmm... It was different from usual. Avocado and tomato sandwich... I guess my brother was trying out some new "nutrition advice" from his professors.
He refuses to call it diets but it's what they actually are. The sandwich was good though. I finished the other half while finishing the crossword in the newspaper.
Yes, that's actually how much time I had to get to school. A lot. I wake up really early because I like to do the crossword. It is one of the few things that challenges me.
I picked up my backpack and put on my shoes. I stopped and prayed to my mom and dad, then walked out to school.
You want to know why I prayed to my mom and dad, huh? Well when I was 13 they passed away in a car accident. After that, I live with my older brother in his apartment. He had an extra bedroom anyway. He goes to university and he's in his last year. After this he has to find a job.
Today was a pretty sunny day, despite being the beginning of January. I guess everyone wanted a good school day today. Seoul Kiss High was down the street from the apartment, just like the university was.
I walked there slowly wanting to savor the moments alone of being able to think. In school, if it's the same as every other year... Then there will be loud irritating people that won't let me think in peace.
"Here, for you miss." A boy handed me a bouquet of yellow daffodils and he rode away on his bike, with a basket full of bouquets.
I guess he was a delivery boy. I looked for a note but there was none.
After the boy rode far enough away, I chucked the bouquet into the trash.
One, I hate daffodils. They were the narcissus flower, meaning you love yourself. Clearly that person who sent them didn't know that. Two, there was no note, what if it was a creepy stalker person..
I continued my way to school, humming a tune that was forming in the back of my mind.
When I reached the gate, there were many people entering school as well. I took a deep breath and headed for the building, to find my classroom, 2A.
