Long ago, Prince Huang Li Wen was the heir to the throne in the Huang dynasty, he was left with the problem of an evil that constantly stalked him. The evil wanted his powers, he could control time and that was what it craved. It wanted to live forever and ruin lives with that power.
It tried over and over again to steal his powers and he couldn't wait to get rid of it. But he needed help, he could never get it alone. He sought out advice from an oracle and he had to find a warrior of the Li bloodline to help him defeat the evil. It would be difficult though because the Li family tree was also being hunted by the evil being.
He finally managed to find a woman of Li descent that would fight by his side against this evil creature and together they were victorious in sending it back beneath the Earth to be caged for another century. Their bond developed from fighting together and soon, they were announcing their marriage and he was crowned King.
The story of the Huang and Li blood being intertwined was forever ingrained in their memories as the evil would be back and only the duo would be able to fight it off once more. They would be called to protect their people once again.
Foreword
He walked through the hallway of the dojo one more time before he saw that his uncle was sitting down and meditating. He was quiet and said nothing when he walked into the room. His uncle kept his eyes closed as he continued to mumble to himself.
He sat down in front of his uncle and waited quietly. He sat with his legs crossed and the room was silent while his uncle finished his meditation. “You have a question for me, Tao.” His uncle stated, opening his eyes slowly. A smile graced his lips and his posture relaxed towards Tao.
“I want to know about the past. I thought it was just a story, but we both know that the stories can be true.” Tao said, fumbling with the red threaded bracelet around his right wrist. He had only gotten it recently and he was still getting used to wearing it all the time.
“There isn’t much to know. The country had been under siege by the darkness, and we all had to protect ourselves. The leader was under the threat and he was constantly watching to make sure that he didn’t get taken as well.
The people were afraid for their lives, but the ruler was strong enough to do anything. He was the greatest and kindest ruler we had ever had. Prince Huang Li Wen was the only one who had the power to eliminate the evil. He was the one who had enough light to be able to defeat it.
It approached him in the middle of the night, on the battlefield, he had his one sword with him.
He had his companion with him as well, she was hiding in the forest and she hid from the evil.
Huang Li Wen slowly started to pace across the battlefield and he could feel the evil following him. It filled the air and he could barely breathe without feeling its presence.
He enchanted his sword with Light and he waited longer for the evil to come closer. It was too silly, the trap was too simple but the evil fell for it.
As soon as the evil manifested itself behind our Great Huang Li Wen, he turned around and swung his sword, slicing through the evil and banishing it to the light.
After that, Huang Li Wen captured the leftover shrouds of evil and stored it deep into the earth for the rest of the centuries.
Until it reappeared in this century, before you, Zi Tao." His uncle told him.
"But what can I do to eliminate it? What can be done to get rid of it for good?" Tao asked him.
His uncle sighed solemnly, "That's something you must figure out for yourself, Zi Tao. Only you can find the true way."
