That Other Day
Winning Over The F4 Players
"Jae oppa." She said, emotionlessly, not ready to show him what she was really feeling.
"Mi, it's you, hey, what are you doing here?" He pulled her into a tight hug and she felt the ripples of his muscles as he squeezed. When had he gotten so buff?
"Jaebeom oppa. What are you doing here?" She asked him as he led her to sit down inside the coffee shop.
"I asked you first." Jaebeom said pointedly.
"I live in Seoul, remember? I moved because my dad wanted to." Naomi said obviously.
"Well, I moved here too. It took me a while to save up some money. But yeah." Jaebeom answered.
"Oh, really? That's good then, we can see each other more often. I missed you, oppa." Naomi pouted.
"Aish, still cute. Now, tell your best friend what you were crying about, hmm?" He asked, knowing her so well.
"What are you talking about? No crying whatsoever. And if we're going to share, then tell me when you got yourself inked up. I don't remember that lion and everything on your whole arm." Naomi pointed his body.
"Fine, me first. I wanted them because they were meaningful and I thought the lion looked cool." Jaebeom answered.
"Okay, I'm next. This stupid boy." Naomi said angrily.
"Who's stupid? And hey, who's won your heart that I haven't been able to for the past 10 years?" Jaebeom said playfully angry.
They both knew they would be nothing more than best friends.
"Kim Jaeseop." Naomi said softly.
"Kim Jaeseop... I've heard of him, he's engaged to some blonde chick, they're all over the magazines in the supermarkets when I go to buy food." Jaebeom said.
"Yeah but before she randomly showed he was taking me out on dates and stuff. And courting me I guess is the word." Naomi air quoted.
"Uh huh. And now he's ignoring you?" He asked.
"Yeah, because his mom wants him to marry that blonde chick. And like if he was always meant to marry that girl, why toy with me? Why play with me until I liked him and just cast me aside?" She said angrily.
"Well, Mi, I've told you many times before, Boys are stupid. I am speaking from personal experience. But maybe you should talk to him. See what he has to say. After that you can decide what you want to do about it." He spoke wisely.
"I knew I needed to talk to you soon." Naomi leaned over and gave him a hug.
"So, I'll treat you to hot chocolate, let's go." He stood up and went to order with the cashier.
She was giving him the eyes but he simply ignored them, today he was spoiling his best friend. Flirting could be saved for another day.
He brought the hot chocolate back to the table. "Promise me, you'll talk to him?" He said firmly before handing over the hot chocolate to her cold hands.
"I promise, Jaebeom oppa." Naomi reached over and he gave in.
"Good, and if he makes you cry again, then I'll break him." He threatened.
"Yah! Oppa!" Naomi scolded.
"What? My best friend is not getting her heart broken." Jaebeom defended.
Thank god the coffee shop stayed open late, they stayed there catching up for hours.
