Hoon led Jae Hwa out of the cafeteria and towards the music room. They would be missing class but he didn't care.

"Hoon, what are you doing?" Jae Hwa asked him.

The music room was empty, of course. Everyone was supposed to be in class.

"I want to apologize to you." Hoon said, turning around and facing her.

"For what?" Jae Hwa asked.

"For not noticing Yuri picking on you earlier, we were trying to support AJ as much as possible and we ended up neglecting all of you." Hoon said sadly.

"Why do you need to support AJ?" Jae Hwa asked.

"Don't you know?" Hoon asked back. Jae Hwa shook her head.

"AJ is being forced to marry Chaerin. But he wants to convince Naomi to give him a chance. She's not rich, however, so his mother would never approve of Naomi. But Chaerin isn't exactly the nicest person around." Hoon said vaguely.

"So, you were trying to help him find a way out of it?" Jae Hwa asked.

"Yeah, but there is no way out of it. Chaerin is the best match for him. His mother planned this out well financially. They might even be more powerful than the Kims." Hoon sighed.

"More than Ri Ah unni?" She asked him.

"Yeah, but the word is that both of them are doing a lot to avoid it. They're like taking up modeling jobs for anyone that needs it, getting on their good side. Or working together on projects with anyone. Attending parties. It's not obvious though. Only those that know about the situation with AJ know what the Kims are doing." Hoon explained.

"So, what about you?" Jae Hwa asked.

"What about me?" He asked back.

"Won't your parents get mad if you're with someone like me?" Jae Hwa questioned.

"Oh. No, they won't care. They will let me pick who I want, but there's just one condition." Hoon said mischievously.

"What is that?" Hoon led Jae Hwa towards the piano and sat down next to her on the bench.

"She has to like music and enter a music competition with me and win as a duet." Hoon answered simply as he started to play random keys.

It didn't seem like the song was completed but it had a tune.

"Really?" Jae Hwa asked, joining in and filling in the empty spots of the harmony.

"Really." Hoon smiled at her, "So, would you like to join me in the upcoming music competition, Jae Hwa?" He asked her.

"Are you asking for a partner to duet with or to be with me and just me?" Jae Hwa asked back, as they continued to play the random song.

"Both." Hoon simply answered, waiting for hers. Nervous or not, she couldn't tell but she would at least make him wait a little bit.

"Hmm.. Yes, I would." She told him and he stopped playing to open the piano top.

"Good because I didn't want these to die." Hoon took out another bouquet of moonstone roses to give to Jae Hwa.

"So you knew I would say yes?" She looked at him suspiciously, smelling the roses.

"No. But I hoped." He smiled softly.
