“I can’t believe I let you talk me into this.” Saehee said as she chewed on her steak, the man before her laughed.

Mark couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Instead of shoving him on dates, shouldn’t you be asking him questions first? Why he punched BH Group’s representative or~”

“Saehee, we all saw the news. It’s because of Byul, they’re competing over her.” Chanyeol’s father mused as he gestured for her to wipe her lip, Saehee grimaced.

“It was just a rumor, samchon. We didn’t even ask them what really happened.”

The elder shrugged.

“I’ve seen the way he hovers over Byul, it’s different. He likes her.”

“And, I think they need each other, I can’t pinpoint why but my son needs someone like her.”

“I think you’re right, samchon.” Mark spoke, Saehee glanced at her.

“Ever since Byul came home, she wasn’t acting like herself, but she was different around Chanyeol. She seemed more at ease.” Mark finished.

Yongguk put his phone down; his boss had just reprimanded him and demanded that he make amends with Chanyeol.

“I don’t plan to make amends.”

Ara’s forehead creased.

“But, sir,”

“Call reporter Ko, ask him if he can pass by.” Yongguk faced her.

“..What do you plan to do?” She asked, Yongguk smirked.

“They all think Hanbyul is so clean.”

“Have you known each other prior to the project?” She questioned.

“Of course, I know her well. Too well.” Yongguk nodded as his secretary entered the room.

“Those things I asked you to gather, prepare them for a release.” He ordered before leaving the table.

“I have to be at HwangSae today.” Byul said as she strolled in the kitchen, clad in her Calvin Klein sports bra and sweatpants.

Chanyeol nodded as he gathered some eggs from the fridge.

“Yeol.” She said as she lifted herself on the counter.

“We’re having the party next week, will you come?” She asked, Chanyeol turned to face her, he noticed her anxiousness.

“I’m not sure if I can handle both my sister and parents at the same time.” She fibbed, he grinned.

“I’ll be there. I can be your date then.”

“Hot date.” She nodded with a grin, then she heard the doorbell ring.

“You expecting someone?” She asked as she hopped down the counter, Chanyeol shook his head and watched her as she walked to the frontdoor.

I almost slipped. Idiot.

Byul opened the door then she paused, confused.

“You must be Hanbyul, right?” The familiar face asked, she blinked but nodded.

“I’m Songhee, from the other day.”

It’s seven in the morning, a little early to see you again.

“Is Chanyeol oppa in?”

“Yes, he is. Come in.” Byul gestured for her to come in.

“Park Yeol!” She called as she ushered the girl in, Chanyeol appeared and smiled at Songhee.

“You came.” He greeted her.

Byul blinked, she walked to the kitchen and grabbed a banana.

“Ya, I made~”

“I have to be at the office before eight.” She reasoned when Chanyeol tried to stop her, Songhee watched the two.

“Still, you should eat.” Chanyeol said.

“Lunch. Your treat.” She stated before heading up to her room.

Byul exhaled as she entered her new office, she had just spent two hours being introduced to the company’s higher ups and she was starting to regret that she chose to wear her Christian Louboutin heels.

She walked to her table and plopped down on the leather office chair, she shook off her heels and looked around her.

“I’ll be living a double life soon.” She shook her head and she looked at her nameplate on the table.

“President, my .” She sighed, then her phone started to ring. She took it out and swiped on the green icon.

Four faces came to view, her four friends were sitting at Kris’s living room while looking at the screen.

“You, how could you do that to my doctor Unicorn?” She said, Lay winced, Luhan chuckled.

“We wanted to mess around for a bit, but then your friend made a bigger mess so, he wins.” Luhan said with a wink.

Byul snorted.

“How are you? Have you eaten lunch?” Kris leaned forward.

“In a few, I thought you were flying over to Korea.” She asked as brushed her hair down.

“Maybe next week, little star.” Tao nodded as he took a sip from his wine.

“Really? Then you guys should~” She looked up when her assistant came in.

“What is it?”

“President Park just called, since he cant get through your line.”

She nodded for him to continue talking.

“He says he can’t make it to lunch.”

“Really? Arasso, I’ll step in a bit, don’t call the driver, I’ll drive myself.”

The male nodded and left the room; Byul tapped her fingers on the table.

“Lunch got cancelled?” Lay asked.

“Yes, I’ll see you next week. I have to eat.” She said before ending the call, she stood up after putting on her shoes and left her office.

Byul stepped in Galleria Department Store at Apgujeong, she immediately headed towards the deli at the building’s basement. She was on her phone as she stepped down from the escalator and padded towards the Italian section.

“What would you like, ma’am?” The lady over the counter asked her.

“Just the classic red sauce with meatballs.” Byul replied, then she glanced around her in search for drinks, then she paused.

“Ma’am, it would be 30,00 won.”

Chanyeol was at a table a few meters away from her, he was chatting with Songhee as they ate.

“Ma’am?”

Byul looked away.

“Please wrap it up.” She said before taking out her credit card, it took the lady a few seconds to get her order done. Byul immediately grabbed the bag and headed for the escalator.

She marched to her M9, she yanked the door open and tossed her bag and food inside.

She slid in the car and sped away.
