Bring It

“WHAT DID I SAY-”
“He was the closest person, I’m sorry!” you interrupted Jay.
“BUT I TOLD YOU _________! I ING TOLD YOU-”

“Hyung, calm down.” Junkyung put an arm on his shoulder.
You sighed and sat down on one of the seats.
“Hyung! They callin’ you out!” Tagoon ran in looking at Jay.
He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, “I’ll talk to you later.” he said and followed Tagoon back to the stage.

Junkyung sat next to you and patted your back.
“Why don’t they get along?” you asked him.
“I’m not sure I can say, that’s their business.” he answered.
“Ughhh.” you sighed and put on your hood, leaning your head on his shoulder.
He chuckled, and leaned his head on yours, “He’s just protecting you.”
“But-”
“He doesn’t want to yell at you, he’ll apologize for that later.” he assured. “Since Jehan is back in California he really hasn’t had anyone to watch over.” he continued.
You sighed, “Okay, I guess.”

“Now, when are you going to tell him about you and Yongguk?”
You lifted your head up, “What?”
He raised an eyebrow, “I’m not as stupid as Jay hyung. I see you two always looking at each other, smiling.”
You felt your face heat up, “….We aren’t dating…”
“Not yet anyway, huh?” he asked with a smug grin.
You hit his shoulder, “I don’t know…Are you going to tell Jay oppa?”, you asked nervously.

He rolled his eyes, “No, I’m not.”
You beamed and hugged him, “BUT!” he said, “You shouldn’t keep it from him either.”
You sighed, “He won’t get along with him oppa! How can I expect-”
Both of you stopped, hearing a knock come. Yongguk stood there awkwardly, his black hood covering his head.
You stood up right away and looked at Junkyung who sighed.
“Go just…don’t get caught.” he waved you off.
You smiled, “Thanks oppa.”

--

“Sorry.” he said.
“Why are you apologizing for?” I asked, leaning against the wall.
“I got in trouble on my own this time.” I looked at the ground.
“You were good though.” he smiled.
I clicked my tongue, “I know.” I said confidently.
He chuckled, “So you’re the one getting cocky now?”
I giggled, “Never.”

“What he say to you?” he asked, concerned.
I shrugged, “Didn’t really say, more like yelled. He had a battle so he didn’t get to finish.”
He nodded, “Yeah I asked E-Sens hyung if he could battle him.”
My head tilted, “You did that?” I bit my lip.
“Yeah.” he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “You looked like you needed help so…”
“Thank you.” you said shyly.
“Look I wanted to ask if you-”
“_______ noona!” Zelo ran in, out of breath. “They’re looking for you!”

I sighed, disappointed that our time together was cut short.
I looked at him, “Go.” he said, smiling sadly.
“What did you want to ask?” I needed to know.
He shook his head, “I’ll ask you later.” he said.
“Go, I don’t want you getting in trouble again.”
Another sigh escaped my lips, “Okay…”
“I’ll see you at lunch on Monday?” he smiled.
“Of course.” I beamed. Then he did something I didn’t expect, he hugged me.
I hugged him back immediately, it was such a natural reaction.

“AHEM.” Zelo cleared his throat, I forgot he was here. “Sorry to intrude…” he looked back at the ceiling.
“Uh so yeah.” we separated, “I’ll see you on Monday.” I smiled and walked away, a little too fast, nearly tripped.
As I walked out into the stage area I found Min.
“OH MY GOSH!!!” I squealed.
She chuckled, “Calm down _______, calm. What happened?”
“He hugged me.” I whispered.

“_________!” I cringed again, “I’ll see you later.” I mumbled to her.
I turned and walked towards the backroom. He stood there in with his arms crossed. As I entered all the other guys walked out. Donggab patted my shoulder as he walked out. Junkyung and Zico gave me quick smiles before exiting.
“Why do I feel like you’re about to kill me?” I asked, sitting in one of the chairs.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you.” he sighed. “I over exaggerated, I shouldn’t bring you into my problems and please don’t be mad at me!!!!!” he pulled on my arm.

I giggled, “Oppa, stop it!”
“You forgive me?” he pouted.
“I can’t stay mad at you.” I smiled and ruffled his hair.
He beamed, “I knew it!” he stood up and kissed my forehead.
“So did you tell everyone to leave just so you could apologize?”

He shrugged, “I don’t want everyone knowing I’m soft.”
I giggled, as he picked up his ringing phone.
“Its my mom.” he sighed.
“Guess that’s our cue to go home.” I yawned.

Yongguk POV:

“I don’t know how to ask her.” said I said to Min.
“Just ask her.” she said, “I know that’s not much help, but just ask her.”
“When?” I asked.
She shrugged, “That’s up to you.”
I sighed, “You’re no help Min.”
She frowned, “You asked me oppa, okay? Now set it up for this Friday.”
“What about Ja-”
Her hand went up, silencing me. “I’ll take care of the Jay situation. You just worry about asking her.”

I sighed again as the bell rang. “Don’t over think it.” she said.
“This Friday?” I asked again.
She nodded, “Make sure to ask her where they won’t see though.”
I nodded, “Okay, thanks Min.” I smiled as she walked into her class.
Yeah, I was going to ask her out on a date. That’s what I was going to ask Saturday but, Jay got in the way.
I didn’t know when to ask her though. Today, today is perfect, I can ask her when we eat lunch. Even if Zelo and Himchan are there I can do it when they leave. Alright, I decided, today I would ask _______ out, today.

--

Your POV:

“Okay class, please pass up the homework that I gave you this weekend.”
I quickly scribbled the last answer on the bottom of the page and pass it up with the others.
Min snickered, “Nice.”
“I slept all day, yesterday.” I explained.
“Oh.” she said, “Did you have another all night call with me?” she smirked.
I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at her, “No~”
“Thanks for going along with that though.”
“No problem.” she smiled.
Junkyung lifted his head up from his desk. “Shut up~” he whined.

Min covered , “I already know dummy.” said Junkyung.
“Still think it’s a bad idea, but I can’t say anything. Not my business.”
I smiled, “He’s keeping quite.”
He yawned, “Not something I usually do but whatever.” he shrugged.
“Zico knows too by the way.”
My jaw dropped, “WHAT?!”
The class room went quiet and everyone looked at me.
“Miss Park, you will have time to socialize in about three minutes, stay quiet.”
I nodded and lowered my head, “Mianhae.”

“How does he know?” I whispered.
“Me and him knew from the start. Like I said, Jay hyung is pretty clueless.”
I sighed, “He won’t say anything will he?”
“’Course not.” he assured.
A breath of relief escaped my lips, “That’s good.”
“Neither will Donggab hyung, Tagoon, or Hanhae.”
I face palmed, “They all know?” I quietly groaned.
The bell rang making us all stand up.
“Like I said, no one’s going to say anything. Don’t worry.” he assured.
“I’ll see you guys later.”

--

“Should I just go up there myself?” you asked nervously.
“Yeah.” shrugged Min, “Why not?”
“I don’t know.” you bit your lip.
She turned you in the direction of the stairs and pointed, “Go.”
You sighed, “Okay.”
As you reached the bottom of the stairway you looked around and made sure no one was looking. You headed up cautiously.

You opened the door and squinted from the sunlight.
“Hi noona!” beamed Zelo. He ran up and grabbed your books, helping you down.
“Thank you.” you smiled.
“Himchan hyung won’t be here today, he’s visiting his grandparents. Yongguk hyung should be here soon. I actually have to go make up something, will you be okay?” he asked, grabbing his books.
You nodded, “Yeah, I’ll be fine.”
“I’ll see you later then.” he smiled and walked out the door.

You sat down at the table and took out your iPod. You flipped your journal to a clean blank page and wrote the date on the top left hand corner. Your eyes twinkled as you searched through your endless amount of instrumentals begging to be played. Your head bopped along with it, the flow of words running down from your mind to your hand. The pencil quickly ran along the paper, leaving behind pure rhymes of genius. Your mind was elsewhere and the volume was too loud for you to hear the roof door being opened.

“BOO!” you squealed feeling hands on your shoulders.
“Oh my god.” you tossed off your ear buds and looked up to see a smiling Yongguk.
“Oppa!” you whined, “You scared me!”
He chuckled, “Sorry. It was too easy though.” He sat down next to you.
“What are you doing?” he set down the food he brought.
“Oh nothing.” you quickly closed the notebook and turned off the iPod.
“Let me see!” he grabbed it.
“No!!” you whined and pulled it back, engaging in a game of tug of war.
“Pleasseeee?!” he smiled. You melted instantly and let the notebook go.
“Fine.” you said defeated.

He flipped through it, stopping to read some. “Wow…”
You eyed him, tapping your pencil nervously. “You wrote all this?” he asked, looking at you.
You nodded, “Yup.”
“This is really good ________, like really good.” he smiled and closed it, handing it back to you.
“Thanks.” you stuck it under the rest of your books.
“Here you go.” he pulled out the take out containers and one in front of you.
“You always bring food.” you frowned, “Next time I call dibs on bringing it.”

He chuckled, “You know I don’t mind doing this.”
“I do!” you said “Seriously, Wednesday I bring food.”
He put his hands up, “Okay. I won’t argue with you.”
You both continued to talk until the last few minutes left.
He stood up and helped you as well, “So…what were you going to ask me Saturday?” you asked as you both walked to the door.
“Uh…” he chuckled nervously, “I was uhm-” The bell rang, interrupting him.
He let out a frustrated sigh, “You should head to class.” he said.

You frowned, “Just tell me.”

He looked around, “Okay. Are you doing anything this Friday?”
“I don’t think so.” you said. “Why?”
“Well, you think it would be okay if we hung out?” he asked. “You know like on a date?”
Your eyes widened, “Y-you’re asking me out?”
He nodded with a smile. “So…what do ya’ say?”
A smile spread across your face, “Yes, yes!” you stopped yourself.
He chuckled, “Okay then. Friday it is.”
“Okay.” you shyly looked down.
“________, you do know that the bell rang a while ago right.”
“Oh yeah, we’re at school!” you face palmed.
He laughed and opened the door, “Let me help you.” He grabbed your books and held your hand as you stepped over to the other side of the cinder block.
“Thanks.” you smiled shyly.
“I’ll see you later.” he smiled as you walked away.

--

“MIN MIN MIN MIN MIN!!!!!” I ran and jumped on her.
“Okay! ________, I love you but please, off.”
“Sorry.” I hopped off and was still jittery.
“What’s wron-OH!” she smiled brightly.
“You knew?!” I frowned.
She beamed, “Yes, I helped.”
I pouted, “Mannn. Oh …what am I going to tell-”
“Taken care of.” she answered as we continued walking.

“What?” I asked.
“We’re all sleeping over at my house.” Jia came up causally.
“Whoa, where’d you come from?” I asked.
“He’ll pick you up from there and he’ll drop you off later that night.” said Fei from behind us.
I jumped, “Oh my god. Stop it.”
They all giggled, “I have a date with Yongguk.” I said, still not believing it.
“I have a date with Yongguk.” I repeated.
They laughed even more as we skipped around the hallways, on our way to our next class.
