"Baby, we're going to be okay.” Suzy whispered more to herself, rubbing her belly. She paced around the apartment then she sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at her stomach. Now she thought about it, she could see some sort of a bump. Not a lot, it just seemed like she had a big lunch.

She let her body fell on the bed and stared at the white ceiling. She didn’t know how long she stayed like that but by the time she realised that she was daydreaming, until her new cell phone vibrated from the bedside table indicating a new text message. She read it.

From Kai.

'Hey... I'm outside your door.'

Suzy slid off the bed and went to open the door and a brightly smiling Kai on the doorway.

"Breakfast arrived." Kai said cheerly, holding up his hands.

Suzy smiled, "Wow... that's a lot of food you bringing. By the way, thank you."  She gestured for him to come in and closed the door behind her. Kai walked to the kitchen and put the foods on the dining table.

Suzy looked at the container bag on the table. "What's in this bag?" She asked.

"Oh... I brought you some porridge and also chicken soup. I asked my maid to prepare these for you. She said this soup is special and it's good for you. I also bought chocolates and breads on the way here just now.” He told with a smile.

Suzy couldn’t help but smiled a little due to his concern and wanting her to be okay. "Let me get this ready." She headed for the cabinet to take the bowls and plates.

Kai just stood by the table, eyeing at her. "How are you feeling today? I was worried about you after I left last night." He asked.

Suzy turned to him. "I, um…Y-yeah." She stuttered. 

He walked closer to her. "But you look a little pale." Kai said, squinting slightly to better see her face. "Are you sure you are alright?" He raised his hand and pushed her hair from her face to look her in the eyes.

Suzy startled, she took a step backward, looked up at him. "I... I'm fine. I…I’m starving, let's eat now." Suzy swallowed. She was hoping her voice isn’t shaking and quickly moved to the table.

A few minutes later, she had breakfast ready on the table, while Kai finished making two mugs of hot tea. "Sorry, I kind of maki myself comfortable here." Kai said smiling, bringing the mugs to the table.

Suzy waved at him with a smile. "Well why not. This is your house too."

'"Come, let me help you with the food. You just take your seat." Kai said walking to her.

She was wanted to say something when her knees suddenly gave in and she almost fell on to the floor when she felt Kai's arms around her.

"Suzy, are you okay?" Kai asked franctically.

Suzy own hands clinging to the jacket Kai was wearing, helping her to keep her balance on her feet. She squints at him, then forced out. "I need... to sit down for a second."

Kai lifted her up in his arms and started carried her to the living room. Gently he placed Suzy on the couch. She rested her head against a pillow and took a deep breath in. She realized that it was all the morning sickness. And as much as throwing up , she couldn't help but feel glad about it because it meant that she was pregnant and whatever came with it was welcomed.

"Suzy, are you, okay?" Kai asked again as he brushed her hair from her face.

“Kai, I'm okay. I just feel dizzy. Erm… Well… I started throwing up this morning… I feel fine now though.” Suzy said.

Kai didn't know much about pregnant women. What he did know was that they got big bellies that everyone likes touched. He also knew they were moody and ate weird things. "Are you sure? Should we go to see a doctor now?"

"Really. No need. It's just the morning sickness. It's normal." Suzy assured him.

Kai tilted his head, running through the information trying to understand what Suzy was getting at, before he smiled. "Okay. You just sit here. I'll bring the breakfast here. I'll be right back." He said and immediately walked to the kitchen and returned after five minutes.

"I'm going to book a restaurant for us to have lunch later. And after that maybe we can do some grocery shopping. You know... since the kitchen is empty. We need to fill up the fridge. And all other things that you needed. I want you to feel like living in your own house. Nothing less." Kai said while munching the bread. "But only if you feel better to go out."

"I am fine if that's what worried you." Suzy replied. 

Kai looked at her and added. "And for time being, I do not want you to go out alone without me. If you need anything, call me and we'll go out together."

"Huh... but why?" Suzy asked softly.

"Because I'm worried about you." Kai gave her a pointed look. 'You're new here and pregnant. You didn't know anyone around here. What if anything happen to you?" He stared at her. "I'm just being careful, okay?"

"Mmm... I'm ok." Suzy replied to him and look down. She tried not to think about it anymore. Her hand played with her foods on her plate.

The silence stretched between them for a long moment.

"Suzy, something is bothering you." Kai said, eyeing at her carefully.

She was distracted he could tell, and he was rignt. Suzy looked up at him. She had that uncomfortable feeling once again. The feeling that one get being watched. "Nothing. Why do you ask?" Suzy said feigning blithe.

"I know something is bothering you, Suzy. What is it?" Kai asked.

"I'm thinking quite a lot of things at the moment." Her voice sounded heavy and tired.

"Such as?" Kai asked.

"I have to admit that...I felt scared. You know, pregnant and alone." She whispered out, before giving a content sigh and started playing with her long black hair.

Kai watched her, watching her
