Ryeowook POV

I wandered  around in the unfamiliar part of town, looking at the large mansions and huge picturesque estates that surrounded me.  I glanced at the address that lay in my hands, and spun around feeling both overwhelmed and hopelessly lost.  I had just come back from college, and was looking to visit my father.  He was a butler at one of these huge houses, but I couldn’t seem to find the right place.

I was exhausted, and I finally put my bags down and stopped at a nearby bench to rest my feet.  I bit my lip worriedly, not wanting my father to worry about me.  I would have called him and asked for directions, but my phone had been stolen last week, and I didn’t have the money to replace it.

I sighed, as I thought about my financial woes.  My family had never been a wealthy one, my father was a butler, and my mother worked as a governess, teaching the children of the rich families.  Money was always tight, and the only reason I could attend college was due to the musical scholarship I had earned.

That’s why I was here this summer.  My father had gotten me a job as a music teacher.  My father was a very trusted and respected man, so the wealthy families in this area accepted his recommendation of me.  I wasn’t thrilled that I had to rely on my father to help me get a job, but it was a job nonetheless, and I was in desperate need of capital.

Truthfully, I had missed my mother and father horribly while I was away.  We had always been a tight knit loving family, and I had experienced serious  cases of homesickness while at university.  I was so eager to see them again, but I was frustrated at my inability to locate the house that they were working in. 

I must have looked pretty pathetic because a young man came up to me, and asked me if I needed some assistance.  He was moderately tall, his shiny black hair was combed neatly to the side framing a cute face.  He wore a pale pink shirt and had on a stiff black vest, that matched his crisp black dress pants, and his shiny black shoes.  He smiled at me warmly, and I grinned back before asking,

“Umm, yes I was wondering if you could direct me towards the Cho Manor?”  I showed him the map my father had sent me, and the guy started laughing softly.  I looked at him, slightly confused and he explained,

“Well I can see why you’re having trouble,  you were holding the map upside-down!”  I blushed as I realized my foolish mistake.  I took the map back, and smiled at the boy rather sheepishly,

“Uh, my sense of direction has never been my strong point…”  He giggled again, and held out his hand.

“Hi!  My name is Lee Sungmin, lucky for you I work at the Cho Manor so I can get you there”  I smiled at him thankfully, and bowed respectfully,

“Kamsamnida, Sungmin-sshi!”  He pouted slightly. And shook his head,

“Oh, just call me hyung.  Save all the formal stuff for the others.  Oh, by the way, what should I call you?”  I smiled and replied,

“I’m Kim Ryeowook” Sungmin’s eyes lit up and he asked excitedly,

“Oh, are you Butler Kim’s son?” I nodded, and he quickly grabbed one of my bags.  “So you’re the new music teacher, huh?  You’re parents are so excited, your arrival is all they have been talking about for weeks!”  I smiled as I thought of my parents.

I picked up my other bag and followed after my hyung.  We made friendly small talk along the way, and I was pleased to have such a kind and cheerful friend.  He told me all about his boyfriend Yesung, and how they were both working as servants at the Manor.  I was excited to meet Yesung, and I hoped he would be as kind as Sungmin.

Finally after about a 20 minute walk we stood in front of the largest estate I had ever laid my eyes off.  I couldn’t believe that all this land belonged to one family.  Their mansion stood at the top of a  grassy hill that overlooked the acres of trimmed cultivated land.  The house stood 7 stories tall, and looked as large as a shopping mall.  As I stood gaping in awe, Sungmin laughed at my reaction and stated,

“Welcome to Cho Manor!”

Yay!  First chappie up!  I hope you guys like it so far.  This chap isn;t very interesting, it just gives setting, but more characters in next chappie so stay tuned! ^^
