CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"So.." Jiyong said, not knowing what exactly to say. After what Sun Hee has confessed earlier, he's speechless. Of course he's jumping out of joy inside, but he possibly can't show it in front of Sun Hee right? He'll just look pathetic. At least that's what he thinks so. Sun Hee on the other hand is dazed that she confessed to Jiyong without even thinking. Why? She doesn't know. She knows that she should have realized it way before, but what can she do? She hasn't felt the feelings she felt for a long time now. 

She's only loved once and never tried to find another guy that will hurt her. She didn't want to feel the same pain that she felt when she and TOP were together. It hurts her thinking about the incident, but she can't do anything about it anymore, so she realized that she should move on. She also realized that Jiyong might be the one for her. She's still a bit hesitant, but she'll give it a try. 

"So.." Sun Hee repeated what Jiyong said and it made them both chuckle. They just looked at each other in the eyes and studied each other's gaze. Sun Hee found sincerity and passion in his eyes, while Jiyong found hesitance and pain in her eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows and cupped her cheeks. Sun Hee continued to stare at Jiyong as Jiyong leaned in and kissed her forehead. 

"Don't worry about anything. Just think about everything first, I don't want to hurry anyway. Let's take things slow, hmm?" Jiyong told her and this made Sun Hee feel relieved. She shot him a smile then nodded. "Thank you." She said softly. She was sincere. She was thanking him because she sees that Jiyong is trying to understand her. 

"You don't have to thank me. I'm doing this for the sake of our future. I don't want to ask you to be mine right now, because I know everything is still a bit unclear for the both of us. Let's just enjoy the company of each other and go with the flow. Just like I said last time, let's see where this will take us. Hmm?" Sun Hee still remembered their agreement back then. 

The Kwon Jiyong he knew was now gone. When they met, he was a cold-hearted vampire who didn't care about anyone, anyone but his family; now, he was feeling the duty to take care of the woman before him. Jiyong stayed quiet and said, "Why don't we make what you said earlier into a true situation?" He was serious, he was not joking. He felt like he needed to protect Sun Hee. As of now, he is confused about his feelings but he knows he will find out soon. Sun Hee looked up at Jiyong, stunned. "What are you talking about?" 

"Let's act like we're engaged and go with the flow." Jiyong said without hesitation. Sun Hee's jaw dropped and looked at Jiyong. "A-a-re you serious? It's not necessary, Jiyong. You don't have to do it." Sun Hee said. Jiyong chuckled and said, "No. I'm the one who proposed this. I'll do it and I'll make you." Jiyong said and smirked. "Now, let's go. It's getting late. Our parents might be worried." Sun Hee snorted and said, "We're god damn adults, Mr. Kwon. We can do whatever we want." Sun Hee retorted. 

"Exactly. We can do whatever we want. We get to know each other more and with our mission together, we might click and be more closer. If we feel the spark ignite, then we'll decide from there." Jiyong proposed and Sun Hee froze in spot. "Is this supposed to be an arrange marriage, Kwon Jiyong? A self proclaimed arranged marriage, that is." Sun Hee said and Jiyong smiled and nodded. "You could say that." Sun Hee stayed quiet and thought about it. 

"But, I have one question." Jiyong said and Sun Hee waited for him to ask her his question. 

"Do you feel the 'spark'?" Jiyong looked at Sun Hee, who had her poker face on. She smiled and nodded, "Babo. I wouldn't have confessed to you if I didn't feel it, right?" She giggled and Jiyong blushed. "Right." They fell back into silence again, just looking at the sea in front of them. "Back then, I really thought that I won't ever like someone again." Sun Hee stated. Jiyong looked at her and said, "Me too."

Sun Hee chuckled and shook her head in disbelief, "We have too many things in common. I'm afraid about the stereotype that people are saying these days." Jiyong furrowed his eyebrows and wondered what stereotype she was talking about. "Which one?" He asked. Sun Hee said, "The one where if two people have too many things in common, they aren't compatible. That two people has to be directly the opposite to each other to be compatible." She chuckled and supported her chin with her knees. 

Jiyong chuckled and said, "You believe in those stuff?" Sun Hee shook her head and said, "Ani. I was just intrigued by it." 

"Why?" Jiyong asked and Sun Hee's face darkened. Jiyong wondered why.

"Because Seunghyun and I were completely different." She said in almost an inaudible whisper. Jiyong sighed and scooted closer to her and hugged her from behind. He held her tightly and Sun hee loved the feelings of being held by someone she likes. She felt relieved and relaxed at the same time. A feeling that she hasn't felt for a long time. "I wish time just stopped right now. I want to be like this forever." Sun hee muttered and it made Jiyong smile.

He set his chin on her shoulders and said, "You know.. even though we have a lot of things in common, I don't want to think that we aren't compatible. Our necklaces believe that we are meant to be with each other. I believe in that more than those stereotype  things. You and Seunghyun.. you guys weren't compatible. He did ruthless things that made y
