CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Sun Hee got dressed up for the weather, wanting to explore the place alone. She wanted to be alone for a while to think. She needed time for herself because she needs an answer for Jiyong's question. 

She checked her purse if everything she needed was there: her credit cards, cash, and cellphone. She grabbed her room key and slipped it on her bag. She slid her sunglasses on and started walking towards the front of the resort. She knew what to do for these kinds of situations. But this time, she didn't even want to think, but she wanted to avoid the topic. She didn't know what she was feeling. 

She just walked down the lane on the side of the road. Not really minding that people are staring at her. She just walked and thought hard. 

"How about you Sun Hee? What do you feel about me?" Jiyong's voice echoed in her head. It was repetitive, but she couldn't get over the fact that Jiyong confessed to her. She knew that there was a spot in her heart that felt somethig towards Jiyong.. but she couldn't help but hesitate. Why? She didn't know. 

She arrived in a small market, she didn't know where it was but she could careless. She needed time for herself, a time to get away from all these stress and thinking. All she needs is sometime for herself and after this, she'll be able to think otherwise. She walked around the market and spotted a shop where it sells jewelry. Sun Hee has always been fascinated with different types of jewelries, just not necklaces. She would always wear her 'J' pendant necklace that she doesn't want to replace it. At the thought of her necklace, she unconsciously touched where the pendant would usually lie, but to her surprise, it wasn't there. 

She furrowed her eyebrows and kept finding the chain of her necklace, but to her unfortuante circumstance, it wasn't there. She looked down and saw nothing on her neck. No chain wrapped around her milky neck. No pendant. Where could her necklace be? 

"Did I not wear it? I swear I wore it before I.." Her eyes widened when the thought of losing it came across her mind. "No.. I wouldn't have." She turned her heels back to go back to the resort until she heard a woman say, "Don't hesitate to believe in love when you know it's there. Don't block it away with your past. Live with the future. Don't hold onto the speckle of hurt you have and forget it. Live your life the way you want to and live freely without hesitating. Life is full of risks that you have to take." She turned around and found a woman in her late 50's smiling at her. When she blinked, she was gone. 

Sun Hee wasn't scared. She was dumbfounded. "Who was that?" She asked herself, but she can't answer it herself. She tilted her head on the side and tried to find the lady anywhere, but she wasn't anywhere. She got more curious who that woman was but her words struck through her. "Don't hesitate to believe in love when you know it's there? What does she mean by that? And don't block everything with my past? Where did she get all these? Was she even talking to me?" She muttered to herself as she walked towards the resort, her necklace slipping off her mind. 

She couldn't help but think about the things that the woman told her. "What could she mean by all those?" Since she wasn't looking where she was going, she bumped into someone that caused something to fall. "Oh, I'm sorry." She said sincerely, but what caught her attention was a familiar necklace on the floor. She crouched down and was about to pick it up, but the person she bumped into had already picked it up. "Uhm, it's okay." She heard a familiar girl say. When she was about to look up, the girl had walked away. 

"I swear that was my necklace, but how.." Her eyes widened and said, "Ya! Stop there !" She ran to to the girl and grabbed her arms, not caring if the girl was wincing in pain. She turned the girl over to have a look in her face, but the girl was trying to break her neck by looking away from Sun Hee's gaze. "Look at me." Sun Hee said. The girl shook her head and said, "I said look at me!" She exclaimed. The girl slowly bowed her head
