Chapter 09

Youngest of Pieces: [WHO- I AM] (8)

The award show was two days ago; the day after the awards (yesterday) 5 Pieces had a fan signing in Malaysia before heading back to Korea. Hannah’s leg had gotten better just over the night, though she had felt a slight stinging pain when she had put her foot wrong once during the day, nothing else than that. When coming home the girls were overly happy when entering the hall and being welcomed by their pets.

Today, the members are excited. Maria has been a new couple in We Got Married and today they are filming the housewarming party – 5 Pieces have been invited and according to Maria, her “husband” has invited some actors too, so they are excited to know who will be there. Maria is “married” to the actor Kwon Hyunsuk, a rookie actor who acted in the same drama as Hannah, so there has been a lot of talk of being awkward between Hannah and Hyunsuk since they were friends and then all of a sudden he is Maria’s husband in We Got Married.

Hannah’s morning is comfortable. She starts off going to the gym for three hours before showering and heading to the saloon to get hair, make-up and outfit ready for the We Got Married filming. The other members of the group are also there, so when the four girls are done they will head to the filming right away; coming with them are f(x)’s Amber and Krystal. They head in two vans together to the filming location, getting ready and talking about how to be like on the set and Maria also text to see when they are coming.

The We Got Married Street has four couples living there now actor Julien Kang & Yoon Se Ah, ZEA’s Kwanghee & Secret’s Sunhwa, MBLAQ’s Joon & Oh Yeon Seo and the newest is 5 Pieces’ Maria & actor Kwon Hyunsuk. All of them have their own house; two floors, wide and nice, houses next to each other too. In preparations for the housewarming, Maria is cleaning up and Hyunsuk is cooking. Maria is wearing a navy blue bow-tie back knit top to a dark coloured inset skirt leggings, wearing the outfit proudly that Hyunsuk picked out for her.

“Have I said that I like a guy who can cook?” Maria asks when walking up behind Hyunsuk in the kitchen.

Hyunsuk is tall and thin like a model, looking like a rocker with his ear-long hair that Maria suggested him to put up in a nice pony-tail – which he has, and it looks great for Maria. Maria picks up a piece of the salad he is chopping and chews on it while watching him over his arm. They fit together; long and thin both of them, Maria with her European look and Hyunsuk like a dark Japanese rock-artist even if he is Korean. Maria has really been creating trends with her catchy phrases like “I like a guy who …” and add whatever it is she likes, it is really popular now because Maria uses it all the time. Over her comment now, Hyunsuk smiles.

“Have you seen many guys cook for you?” he wonders, focusing on chopping while Maria watches him.

“I saw SHINee’s Minho cook meat once,” Maria nonchalantly answers and sneaks to take another piece of salad, chewing on it while rounding the kitchen worktop that lets him face the living-room and kitchen table. She sits down on one of the bar chairs they had bought, so Maria can sit and watch him cook, putting one long leg over the other. “And I think our manager cooked for us once…”

“Is SHINee invited today?” Hyunsuk asks a little coldly.

“Would you like it if SHINee came?” Maria teases and smiles when he looks at her with a disliking face-expression. “They won’t come; they are busy.”

“So you asked them?”

“I asked them,” Maria simply answers, “I wanted to introduce them to my husband – Mr Maria.”

He laughs when she calls him “Mr Maria”. Maria checks her cell phone when sitting there, not really cleaning anymore as she thinks she is done; their house looks clean, so it’s okay. Just as she is going to text and ask when her members are coming it rings on the doorbell. Both Maria and Hyunsuk look up at each other, and it rings a second time pretty fast and Maria waves for him to leave the food and come open with her. She takes his hand – the cameras take much focus on that – and hurriedly walk over to the hall where the doorbell continues to ring like crazy. Since they don’t know if Hyunsuk’s friends or Maria’s friends will come first, Maria can’t shout at the person that they are coming so stop pressing the doorbell, though a part of her can imagine either Carolina or Emelia pressing that doorbell just for fun.

They open the door together and from inside the house, loud greetings are heard from girls. Maria laughs when seeing it is her four members along with two members from f(x), greeting them even louder than they greeted her and with all voices talking at once it is a lot of noise. Hyunsuk’s first reaction is a bunch of girls, and he lets Maria do the talking and introduction when everyone has come inside the house. Hannah walks in last with Julia, carrying a bag with Coca Cola’s logo on it, heavy and filled with Coca Cola that 5 Pieces are currently modelling for. She is wearing a hooded leopard-print pullover, a pair of dark jeans and sneakers; looking warm in the sponsored clothes with also a black fingerless mitten on her right hand – Julia is wearing the matching mitten on her left hand. Julia is wearing a thin logo print t-shirt in charcoal gray, simple words ‘sweet nothing’ are written on in and to the long sleeves the fingerless mitten matches well.

“We bought cake,” Carolina informs, lifting up the boxed cake she got to carry – Maria had texted and asked them to bring it so their leader and now the wife takes the cake to the kitchen. Everyone is standing between the kitchen and living-room, the guests glancing around. Hannah follows a little behind Maria, asking quietly where to put the bag and explaining the gift to the “married couple” when Hyunsuk helps her to carry it.

“It’s a pretty house,” Carolina comments, looking up in the ceiling. Amber nods in agreement; Krystal is looking around without leaving the spot she is standing on; Emelia is standing by the kitchen worktop where Maria sat before, looking at what is being cooked and Julia is looking through the living-room. Carolina looks at the food that Hyunsuk has been preparing from her spot next to Emelia, her eyes glimmering by the sight and when smelling it all, Maria gives her a glare.

“Don’t you dare drooling over my food,” Maria warns her and leans over the kitchen worktop to push her friend further away.

“It smells delicious,” Carolina praises and looks at Hyunsuk who has found his way to keep cooking again.

“Maria hasn’t done a thing, hasn’t she?” Amber jokes with a glance at all of it too and smiles at Maria who glares at her.

“Isn’t it tiring to cook everything?”

“Can I taste something?”

Hyunsuk just continues to cook, not really knowing whose question to answer and if they are asking him at all and the voices just keeps going. Emelia has rounded the kitchen worktop and is now looking through exactly all of the drawers in the kitchen behind him, seeing what they have and also looking through the fridge. Maria is standing next to Hyunsuk, saying that they can never taste until it is done and boasting about how delicious it will be because Hyunsuk is really good at cooking. Her friends seem like they don’t really know what to do when hearing her boast about someone else. Emelia is seen standing behind the “married couple”, still going through every drawer.

“What living-room doesn’t have a TV?” Krystal asks when glancing in the living-room. She is making a face over the emptiness they have.

“There are plenty of fun things to do without a TV,” Maria answers and the cameras filming everyone capture the strange look her friends give her.

“Maria without a TV…” Emelia chuckles, saying what the others were thinking, having her head in the fridge to see for a second time what yummy things it can be in there. “Do you need the eggs for breakfast?”

“Do not touch the eggs,” Maria warns and guides Emelia away from the kitchen, and Emelia instead goes to stand next to Carolina to try ask Hyunsuk if she can taste something – she does it sneakily in hope Maria won’t notice as the other guests are asking questions too, but Maria still notices her and tells her she can’t before Hyunsuk can answer. There isn’t anyone being quiet for more than a second, a lot of female voices talking with Hyunsuk being the only one actually doing something; cooking.

“Shouldn’t we at least get a round-tour of the house?” Julia wonders and Maria claps her hands together. She gives Hyunsuk a pat on the back before waving for her friends to come along, and when hearing the footsteps go up the stairs the voices are going along and Hyunsuk looks up when the first floor is suddenly very quiet. He chuckles for himself, twisting his head slightly.

“The wave passed,” he jokes for himself, continuing to cook while hearing Maria’s voice clearly among the others the floor up.

The house is very simple. For the filming of We Got Married they have the hall, living-room and kitchen while the second floor is only filmed with the bedroom and balcony. Of course there are more rooms; two more rooms that can be used as bedroom and resting room for the staff, and then a bathroom on both the first and second floor. It’s spacious with not really much at all; a few pictures and paintings on the wall (mostly of the acting-couple the house is for), and the reason the house has no TV is because the time in the house is to film We Got Married and not to sit and watch TV. The girls are all complimenting how good the place looks, Emelia saying they should all move in there; in the bedroom she imagines how they all could live, sleeping in the bedroom all of them…

“It’s better than the place I had,” Julia mutters when touching the comfortable bed lightly.

Julia was the first member in the group to join We Got Married, being the Foreign Couple together with ZE:A’s Kevin. She had a lot of fun filming it, and at that time they had a simple apartment – not a nice house like this – so like any other human being she is jealous that the new couple got a better place.

After getting a round-tour the girls are back in the kitchen. Hannah is sitting next to Julia by the kitchen worktop and looking at Hyunsuk cooking; Maria doesn’t leave his side now unless someone of the others that are joking around in the living-room are calling on her.

For Hannah it is still weird to think that Maria and Hyunsuk are acting as a newly married couple, even if it is all acting. Maria is her close friend since 7th grade, though they have known each other their whole lives, but a year ago she met Kwon Hyunsuk too. For two-three months they worked together for the drama Midnight Dream, and in the drama they were acting as good friends; it was a triangle love story between Hannah, Honggi and Hyunsuk too, where Hyunsuk had that good friend but nothing else than friends role. An awkward role, but everyone in the cast is still friends; they had a Christmas dinner together too. In fact, among the friends there now, Hannah is the only one who actually knows Hyunsuk among the guests.

“Maria said you had invited some handsome actors,” Julia mentions to Hyunsuk to not keep it quiet between them.

Hyunsuk gives Maria a glance.

“Yes, two of my co-workers will come,” he answers, meaning two actors from his latest drama that he is filming. What the others don’t know is that it was just Maria who said ‘handsome’, in case the ladies wouldn’t come otherwise, but the two actors that Hyunsuk have invited are older actors. “They will be a little late though, as they are busy.”

“We are busy too,” Julia tells him, giving him a glance that says she isn’t late even if she is busy. Maria tells Hyunsuk in a low voice to not care about what anyone says. “We have a schedule after this, you know.”

“No one cares,” Maria tells her before pointing out to the living-room, her voice loud; “Ya, Emelia, do NOT take down my picture from the wall!”

After a while, waiting for both the other guests and to eat, it isn’t that fun. Hannah and Amber have sneaked up to the second floor, chatting in low voices while looking through the bedroom and Hannah giggles when Amber lies down on the sheets. Amber is trying to grow out her hair, so it is up in a pony-tail above her neck now, and she smiles when lying on her back on top of the bed.

“You think they share bed?” Amber is joking, talking in English.

Hannah laughs, crawling up to lie on her stomach in the double-bed, lying in height with Amber and Hannah answers in English too. “Poor Hyunsuk – Maria will probably kick him off bed if it’s like that.” With a second thought, the friends that Maria have invited over are all born/raised in another country; both Krystal and Amber have lived in America, while 5 Pieces are all from Sweden. Amber and Hannah just lie there next to each other and quietly talk to each other, not bothered at all over the noise a floor below.

They both turn their heads to look at the door when Emelia comes inside after that they have heard a lot of laughter and noise from below, and they smile when seeing what Emelia is carrying.

“I said Maria would love my gift,” Emelia boasts while walking to the wall to put down the thing she has been carrying, pointing it face the bed. “Now she can look at him the whole time.”

Emelia’s gift is a human-sized cardboard figure of SHINHWA’s Shin Hyesung – the king of ballads. When she brought it inside, Maria had burst out laughing and even falling to the floor, totally loving the gift while Hyunsuk had asked if they are serious. Hyunsuk is jealous of Shin Hyesung who makes Maria blush even if he is present in a cardboard figure. Emelia put him in the bedroom for fun, and she is definitely looking forward to see what will happen to the cardboard figure in the future; if Hyunsuk will throw it out, put it on fire or if Maria will hide it and secretly look at it from time to time…

Hannah and Amber stays in the bedroom until Maria is calling them down; she hadn’t noticed anyone disappearing at first. It’s a little awkward, the whole filming, but Hannah is barely noticed because the others are not awkward at all; the others are loud and having fun, making the staff confused of where to film as they are so sure they will miss something fun that can be aired.

While Maria finished filming for We Got Married, the other members left earlier to head for a photo shoot. They get ready with hair and make-up before being introduced to the photographer working with them for this photo shoot to CeCi Korea, and soon after the photo shoot begins. The concept is Colours of Pieces, and the first set has a blue wall and then another wall in white with red/green/pink flowers. Julia is the first member to be the model, wearing some kind of red fur-looking vest, a dark blue hat and patterned leggings to a long short-sleeve t-shirt. While Julia is shooting, the other three members are getting ready or waiting for their turn.

“That’s good, right?” Hannah wonders and looks up at Emelia walking by behind her.

“It’s good.”

Hannah turns back to the laptop in her lap after getting an answer, and she continues to watch 5 Pieces’ [Oppa] music video that earlier today was revealed. She has been looking through the comments on the video before watching it and one of the comments had been written ‘they are so dorky here’, but Hannah doesn’t know how Emelia knows it is a good or bad comment. There are a lot of good comments on the video, a lot of views on the video too, even if it hasn’t been many hours since it came out. Hannah had been smiling when reading a comment that said the ending was probably the best, as at the end of the video there are these blooper clips of the girls making mistakes or just of them laughing. Comments are mostly about how cute the members are, and some also write that it is a concept you yet can’t link with 5 Pieces but that they still make it look good. Hannah feels good reading the comments on their video; the reaction seems positive. 5 Pieces might have a charismatic and cool image, but it is good that the group doesn’t have a completely serious image – the concept for [Oppa] would have been too awkward for fans to watch. Though someone commented that [Daze] matches 5 Pieces image better than [Oppa] and wonders why they couldn’t promote [Daze] longer instead of coming with a new song, the other comments makes Hannah not care much.

The music video is really pretty, Hannah must admit, and she turns the laptop off with a smile when the stylist asks for her attention.

Before watching the music video she had watched a show that aired in the US yesterday, and it aired a 5 Pieces’ special that the girls pre-recorded during their time in New York where they performed [Black & White], [Daze] and their song from 2011 – [Daze]. But the channel had also aired a performance of Hannah performing [I CRY] (a Korean song) from almost a year ago, which Hannah of course knew nothing about a week ago. She got upset seeing they aired the performance without asking her (SM Entertainment had agreed on it) but her members told her to just let it go so Hannah watched the comments to their new music video instead.

“Hannah’s turn,” their manager says by the door to the dressing-room. “Go join Julia.”

Hannah keeps her eyes closed to let her stylist make sure her make-up is done before she gets out of the room to join Julia, to shoot together.

Hannah has no talent as a model, she is pretty much aware of that, but with almost five years doing this now, she knows the tricks and manages to make good pictures. She isn’t like Maria, who does everything great, but Hannah is pretty and even if she is short she has the right proportions and when you know how your body looks in front of cameras it is easy with time to know what poses works. All members in 5 Pieces have learnt how to be in front of a camera, so the photographers never ends up with dissatisfaction.

The photo shoot goes well. When all five members are present, they are practicing for their comeback stage for tomorrow of [Oppa] on Music Bank. They play the music on their cell phones and dances and practices whenever they aren’t the ones shooting, and during the break the do it all together. because this shooting will go on to midnight, the girls had made a deal with their manager: if they practice the song during the breaks at the photo shoot they can go home and sleep once the shooting is done instead of going to the practice-room and do an actual practice that won’t let them get any sleep tonight in preparations for tomorrow’s comeback.

After finishing the interview to the magazine, the group does the last shooting for the magazine before it is done. The time is around midnight at that time and Emelia – barely keeping her eyes open – grabs her bag and tells the others to just hurry up so they can go home and sleep. Though they haven’t had much on their schedule today, the two things that have been scheduled (‘We Got Married’ and the photo shoot) have taken many hours both and the girls are still tired from their trip to the US that they returned to just yesterday. The colourful photo shoot has been fun, but with everything, it often feels good when it is over – exhaustion enters their bodies and they are all longing for the beds.

Hannah has been busy texting on her cell phone, just as Emelia ready to leave but also waiting for the others to get ready, and she looks up with a surprise when someone takes the cell phone out of her hand.

“No cell phone,” Manager Lim tells her with a look that is supposed to say it is too late, like a father telling her. Hannah pouts at him and takes the cell phone back.

“I’ll just finish this text,” she tells him and turns away with her head low, doing just as she said she would do; finishing the text she is writing and sends it. Manager Lim is too busy to tell the other ladies what they shouldn’t forget – it is his third time reminding Maria to not forget the bag she had brought along – and it is a mess when leaving as the small crew are asking each other if they have brought everything with them and Maria is just satisfied she brought her bag along, saying nothing is forgotten while Carolina had to return to the dressing-room two times because she first forgot her scarf and then remembered that she had been drawing on a napkin that she had forgotten. Hannah did put away her cell phone when she has sent the text message.

It’s quiet once they have gotten in the van. Hannah is sitting at the back with Julia; Carolina and Maria are sitting in the middle and at the front sits Manager Lim (driving) and Emelia. Emelia and their manager are talking in low voices at the front and a ballad is playing on the radio. Both Maria and Carolina seem to be slumbering in to sleep while Hannah has quietly been looking out the window.

Julia touches her lightly on the arm, making Hannah turn to look at her.

“I haven’t asked before, but what did Jonghyun say about the Strong Heart thing? You know … with Honggi revealing to everyone that you and he once dated,” Julia whispers, leaning over the middle seat between the two girls a little, resting her head to the backrest while looking at Hannah with tired, red eyes.

“What do you mean?” Hannah wonders, whispering too.

“Jonghyun didn’t get angry about it?”

“No… I mean, Honggi talked to him first about it; just to make sure he was okay with it,” Hannah answers, keeping a low voice just like Julia in case the others will be disturbed by it. Honestly, Hannah had gotten a little worried once the episode had aired on Strong Heart where most attention were given to the information that Honggi and Hannah once dated, though it was just a few times and it was long time ago; for the whole episode, nothing brought more attention than what was revealed in the beginning about Honggi and Hannah. Comments on the episode have been flooding in; some not believing at all that it was just dating while others find them suspicious, but all comments are that it is more than what is said, so Hannah guesses that the crazy fans aren’t that crazy after all.

“It’s kind of weird,” Julia grimaces, “Your relationship – you, Honggi and Jonghyun.”

Hannah doesn’t smile, but she seems to give a nod in agreement, spacing out. Both Jonghyun and Honggi are two of her best friends, one being her boyfriend now, but both of them are very important to her. Their relationship is so weird but for some reason Hannah couldn’t see it differently; she can’t see herself today without having the two of them as her friends. Though she just a few weeks ago said she wouldn’t be Honggi’s friend again, that seemed to have changed. But it is also just that that makes them all so weird together.

“You know,” Maria says and turns around in her seat, surprising both Hannah and Julia who had not expected her to even be awake, “I don’t get why you and Jonghyun are so crazy over each other. You are just twenty years old; you should be playing and having fun with boys, not doing like Jonghyun and thinking of getting married or whatever.”

“We aren’t thinking of the future like that,” Hannah smiles at Maria and shakes her head.

“Either way, I, personally, will have a bunch of boyfriends before marrying, because that way I can find out more about what I like and dislike about guys,” Maria is explaining, making the other two girls smile over her confident way to talk.

“And you are starting with Hyunsuk?” Julia asks, and she and Hannah laughs when Maria looks super surprised over the joking question. Maria hits them both on the leg before she turns back to face the front with a sigh.

For the rest of the ride home, Hannah isn’t saying much at all; she just listens to Julia joining the conversation between Manager Lim and Emelia while looking out the window.

It feels good coming home. 5 Pieces apartment is on the seventh floor of the building, a newly renovated house that yesterday when 5 Pieces came back from being away for a week were greeted by the happiest puppies on earth. Today too the ladies are welcomed by two happy puppies in the hall and a young cat that is calmly walking along the wall up to the girls. Hannah doesn’t take off her outdoor clothes, instead she takes the leashes two the puppies, handing one to Emelia who squats down to put it on and the two puppies are excited to go out even if it is late. Manager Lim had just dropped them off, wanting to go home to his sleeping wife and children, but he reminded the girls that Manager Kim is picking them up around 04:20, which is in about three-four hours from now. Hannah and Emelia just stay out for five minutes, to let the puppies get some fresh air and the usual before going to sleep.

The apartment is the most comfortable place on earth for Hannah. It has a hall, living-room, kitchen, five bedrooms, one room called “office” that is used as a work-room and clothing room, and two bathrooms. While the living-room is huge, the bedrooms aren’t, and the whole place has a familiar smell of pets and home. If you live in an apartment building, and you visit the other apartments, each apartment smells differently. Each family has their own smell, Hannah used to think; each house. She still thinks like that because wherever 5 Pieces have lived together, it has smelled the same after a while, and though the ladies have pets living with them now it still smells like home; a safe place. Hannah’s room is in the corridor that leads over to Julia and Emelia’s two rooms, as well as the small bathroom those two share, and around the corner to the right of Hannah’s room it is the bigger bathroom along with Carolina and Maria’s two bedrooms. The rooms were chosen through drawing lots, so Carolina has the biggest bedroom while the other four bedrooms are about the same size.

Hannah’s room doesn’t have that much furniture. The wall next to where the door in is, she has a two-door wardrobe positioned in the middle of that wall, with a full body-sized mirror on it’s left side towards the door. Across the room from the wardrobe is the big sized bed that has the end of it pointing out to the centre of the room. On one side of the bed it is a bedside table and along the same wall the door is on she has a board filled with pictures, some photographs hung up given by fans and below there are boxes and more of gifts from fans. The last wall has two windows, big windows with a cuddle-toy teddy bear on the windowsill, followed by more teddy bears and cuddle-toys of different sizes that she has gotten from fans for the past few years in the corner on an arm-chair. The room is filled with gifts from fans, pictures in frames on the walls, books lined up next to the wardrobe and a chair only used for Hannah to put the clothes she will wear the next day as well as a backpack hanging on its backrest that at the moment is empty as she hasn’t used it.

Hannah always sleeps with her bedroom door closed, but ever since they got puppies, the cute puppy Ryo has wanted to sneak in to her room to sleep so if Hannah’s door is closed it will be a lot of whining outside her room so Hannah just push the door lightly so if Ryo wants to come in he just has to push it with his head. Tonight she hasn’t even gotten to bed before he comes in, but the white puppy is adorable and Hannah lifts him up in her bed when crawling in under the cool quilt.

Morning comes too fast, and maybe it could be the lack of sleep that makes the five ladies sound more awake than what they actually are, but for the first time in a very long time they are not late to the saloon. Hannah felt that she had just closed her eyes, drifting in to sleep, when she had to wake up; that her body and mind hadn’t gotten the time to fall asleep yet made it not that hard to wake up. But she knows she will sleep longer another night and doesn’t think about it, and if she got too tired she could always sleep when getting her hair and make-up done – just like Julia is doing.

“Oh my god, that’s disgusting,” Maria’s voice is heard from the table by the window, where she is eating breakfast. Hannah, who is getting her hair beautifully done in the saloon, can only see a little through the mirror what is happening behind her, but she can still guess what it is just by listening. “I can smell it from here, Carolina; it is a must to shower, jeez! If I can smell it, don’t you think our fans will too? I don’t want them to think we are a smelly group.”

Beside from a pre-recording to Music Bank now in the morning, 5 Pieces have three fan-signings to their repackaged album today, and being close to fans means you have to take notice of everything about yourself: on stage you just have to look good, since it is only seen on camera, but at fan-signings you need to look good from inside and out, you need to smell good on your body and in your mouth, you need to take notice of every detail more than on stage.

“What’s happening?” their newly arrived female stylist Park Chan Hyo wonders when taking a seat next to Carolina around the table.

“Carolina hasn’t showered. She will just let them wash her hair, but she doesn’t realise that the rest of her body smells too,” Maria clearly explains with a finger pointing at a sighing Carolina.

“It’s not that bad,” Carolina defends her self, “I can always borrow your perfume.”

“But dear, that won’t help,” Maria tells her kindly. “Not to be mean, but it is the truth.”

“I think you should shower too,” Chan Hyo nods in agreement, trying to not make it seem that she is saying it because she can smell Carolina from half a meter’s distance, but that it probably is the best just in case. Carolina sighs again and continues to eat after saying she will do it when she has finished eating.

Hannah doesn’t know what the reason is, but Carolina has a pretty bad body odour. It’s strange how she never realises it herself. Carolina does shower and wash up the least in the group, but it is still something about her body odour that makes her smell strange – a strange sweaty body odour. It was when 5 Pieces first started to live together after coming to Korea that the girls think they found the reason to why Carolina always smells so strangely; she doesn’t use deodorant. She does use it now thanks to the fact that the ladies wouldn’t survive living with her otherwise, but that strange smell still comes when Carolina hasn’t showered…

Just like today. And once again she is the only one not noticing it. When Carolina has left to go take a quick shower at the saloon, Hannah can hear Chan Hyo ask Maria if she really hadn’t planned on showering at all. Hannah doesn’t like their newest stylist that much, it isn’t because they haven’t talked much to each other but more because Chan Hyo ALWAYS comes with new ideas of clothes that Hannah doesn’t like a single bit. Hannah doesn’t like new things.

The pre-recording of [Oppa] goes fast, and in the middle of the day 5 Pieces arrives at the fan-signing in Incheon; they head there straight from Music Bank in the same outfits. The place is crowded with fans waiting for the fan-signing to begin, and shortly after it beings Hannah notices that there are a lot of fans outside of Korea. Fans from China, Malaysia, Philippines and other Asian countries have come, some of them saying they are there just for the fan-signing before they will take the flight home and there are also some from outside Asia that really surprises the ladies. 5 Pieces are smiling, sitting behind the table with a pen and signing the repackaged albums put in front of them, having these really short talks with the fans lining up in front of them. Hannah is sitting next to Julia and she can hear fans commenting on the hairband Julia is wearing, saying she looks cute in it and that they look forward to the [Oppa] promotions.

The youngest looks up at the next fan stepping up in front of her, Hannah smiling with small eyes at the young girl and move her hands to hold up the page in the repackaged album for the fan to start signing it. Fans are really nice; at times they bring notes with them with their names written, just as it is not a secret that idols often write a name the wrong way because names are very difficult to write as there are different way to spell it. This young girl has done it too, handing over a post-it where her name is written. The girl’s hands are shaking even if she is holding the post-it with both hands, and Hannah takes it kindly to put it down on the table to write it.

“Where are you from?” Hannah asks the girl in English, as her name is definitely not Korean.

“Indonesia,” the girl answers, her voice low and shaky and it makes Hannah look up at her with a smile. The girl continues to talk, sounding really nervous and she talks fast in English. “I went here with my older sister. She is a few people behind here, but … you are really pretty. My sister said Maria is the prettiest, but I think you are. You are really pretty. Please come to Indonesia soon…”

Hannah laughs a little in surprise over all the things the girl says in such a short amount of time. And Hannah is more impressed that she caught up with most of it. “We went to Jakarta a few months ago,” Hannah tells her, thinking she will definitely remember the last sentence that the girl breathed out so helplessly. “It would be fun to go again.”

“Please do!” the girl’s eyes gets huge. “I would pay with my life to see your concert!”

Her eyes are a little scaring, but Hannah still smiles and nods, saying she will look forward to perform in Indonesia with her in the audience. Hannah finishes signing and hands over the album to her with a smile before turning to look at the next fan who looks calmer and who starts to talk Korean the moment Hannah touches the.

“How is your leg? I have seen videos of you limping when you were in Malaysia, that you got hurt when performing… Does it hurt?” the fan wonders with a worried face-expression.

“My leg is fine. It was just pain in the moment,” Hannah kindly answers. “It didn’t hurt the day after.”

“You must be careful,” the fan is pouting and Hannah nods, pouting cutely back but she starts to laugh when the fan puts her hands over her cheeks happily. “You are making me blush.”

Hannah laughs, not knowing why the fan says that, but she thinks its funny and keeps smiling happily to the next fan coming after.
