Hannah has a hobby that brings in a lot of money. She doesn’t see it in money though as most of the % she makes out of it is given to charity before it can reach her, all Hannah thinks of is writing. She loves to write and have always done so, and on her birthday last year her hobby added another occupation to her name; singer, actress, song-writer and now also author. Singer, as she is part of 5 Pieces; actress, from her Japanese drama ‘Fist of Victory’ in 2010 and Korean drama ‘Midnight Dream’ in 2012; song-writer, for the song [I CRY] and participations in 5 Pieces’ second album song [Can’t Make You Love Me]; and author, for the fantasy series ‘Joe – Under Seoul’s Streets’.

The book about ‘Joe’ is the bestseller book in Korea, Sweden, Japan, Finland, England and other European countries for 2012, surprising Hannah and probably everyone she knows got surprised too. It is about vampires and werewolves and more supernatural creatures.

‘Book 1 gives you a look in main character Joe, who comes to Seoul after not being there for many years. Rules have changed in the city and she meets trouble the moment she arrives. A creature that can’t die or age, Joe has the charms and talents that makes you really interested in reading more. She finds a creature, also different from others, who seek revenge. Hannah can remember so many reviews about her book; in Korean, in Swedish, in English… She love to read and hear about the thoughts of others that have read her book, getting to see her book (the characters and style of writing) from another point of view. She noticed things she hadn’t thought of before from what she had written and her favourite thing was when meeting fans who have read the book and tells her ‘I like this and that’ and the question she always receives from fans and journalists; ‘when is the next one coming out?’

On Saturday morning Hannah is at the second official meeting about the next book. Every since the first one was released, the crew and Hannah had said that the next book about Joe will be released in 2013, which they are planning on too. No date has been settled and during today’s meeting they are going through what is written; they talk of changes and reflectance. The whole book has been written, Hannah finished it quite some time ago, she has written the third book too but that is still far from being finished with all the changes and corrections in it, while book two has been read by the crew and Hannah gets to listen to the crew’s notes of the book’s content: their ideas of what could be changed to the better. Hannah is still the one in charge, it is her book, her writing; she decides even if she has a lot of people helping her.

She is sitting at the meeting in a gray v-neck 3/4-sleeve t-shirt and jeans, wearing no make-up and sitting with her nails done for today’s performance. She keeps taking notice of the light colour on her nails when moving the pen in her hand, listening to the suggestions around her and giving good answers at times while at other times not knowing what she thinks or wants.

When it comes to her book, Hannah started writing it as a hobby and she has written three of them thinking of it as a hobby. Not once has she felt that she has to write because of what other people wants or say, never sticking to a schedule, not even when preparing to publish because the books have been written already, all needed is to look it through and make sure there are no loose threads and that it all makes sense. What Hannah thinks of now is that book two has to live up to book one, the first book that received too much attention and love than she thought was possible. She has a pressure on her to do well with her writing, but she doesn’t want that to affect it. This is her hobby and she knows she can not please all readers, but she will do her best to be satisfied with it – to be selfish is what she wants to be with this book, though that isn’t noticeable the way she is sitting there and sharing ideas with the crew.

During the whole meeting, Hannah keeps getting text messages. Mostly from Jonghyun, asking her what she is doing, saying he can’t wait for tonight, asking her how the meeting is going and wondering if she can ask her manager that he will send her home after the recording tonight… Hannah only answers it when she gets time, as she isn’t sitting with her cell phone in hand during the meeting. Maria has texted her too, a bright text with just a lot of letters crazily written before she writes that the song she is recording is really cool. Maria is in the recording studio, recording a song that possibly can be in her upcoming solo activities. Hannah is happy for Maria, the group’s leader is showing all the best colours of herself in her solo songs and Hannah is actually curious to know what kind of song she is recording now. Maybe she can lure it out of Hyekyung at the recording with Jonghyun in the evening.

“Thank you so much for today,” Hannah smiles widely when shaking hand with each member of the crew who has helped her during the meeting.

“Always a pleasure”

The meeting has ended and Hannah leaves because she has a schedule to stick to, even if she must admit it would be fun to have a longer meeting and keep talking about the book. But she heads to Music Core; Maria is in the same car as they planned to head there together while the other three members already have arrived. Fans waiting outside the building get excited to see them arrive, even if it is just two members coming now, and with fresh faces the two idols give a small wave to the fans screaming out their names before getting through the door.

“But we HAVE to go watch it, I swear, it will be awesome,” Maria is saying when they are heading to 5 Pieces’ dressing-room. “Carolina said she wants to see it too, though she wants to see it because of Anne Hathaway, but I want to see it for other reasons.”

“Hugh Jackman,” Hannah adds, “Emelia said she wants to see it because of him. For me, it’s Russell Crowe.”

“Then it’s decided! We’ll watch it the moment we can, as soon as possible,” Maria sounds desperate. She wants to see the new movie Les Misérables so badly and when walking inside the dressing-room she informs the ladies there too about what she has decided; getting a super happy cheer from Carolina. Hannah doesn’t know what Carolina starts to sing, something in English, and instead the youngest sits down on her heels to greet Ryo who runs up to them with his tail waving at his back.

“Michin got beaten up by Ace before,” Emelia informs them; sitting in a chair and eating something that Hannah sees are chocolate cookies. Maria looks shocked, asking what she is talking about. “Michin tried to lie down next to Ace in the sofa, which Ace didn’t seem to like.”

“He got a punch, but no scratch,” Mi Young tells the newly arrived ones. “I personally think that puppy deserves it. He has gotten a lot calmer after that.”

Hannah smiles over their stylist’s words, picking up Ryo in her arms and cuddling with him when walking over to take a seat, listening with a half ear of what they are saying. In the middle of the cat-dog fight conversation their manager tells them to prepare for the rehearsal, though everyone he tries to tell that to, are having another conversation. Carolina continues to sing, now practicing 5 Pieces own song and she gets up on her feet to dance it too. Not many minutes later their manager claps his hand to tell the ladies to go to the stage.

“Where are my shoes?” Maria wonders and looks around.

5 Pieces haven’t gotten styled and they are wearing their own clothes, but they change to different shoes for the rehearsal. Hannah hurries after Emelia out the room after taking off her jacket and scarf, the group heading to the stage with some meters between them. Hannah and Maria had both warmed up their voices on the way here, so while Carolina is guiding Julia to do it on their way to the stage, Hannah ignores them both completely and instead steps up to the familiar staff to get the microphone alongside Emelia.

One after one they get up on the stage, introducing themselves lightly to make sure the microphones are on and then the rehearsals can begin. Hannah smiles when the song starts off, the group softly and not completely all seriously dancing the choreography for [Oppa]. They sing live, Hannah’s body moving to the music with she isn’t giving it all her focus because it is a simple rehearsal but she is singing just as good as if it was a real performance. Lack in dancing is okay during rehearsals, lack in singing is surely also okay but Hannah doesn’t think that so she always does her best in singing – she doesn’t sing every single part, but the parts she sings she sings well, saving her voice. She is a singer, after all. She smiles when Carolina gets too excited and her voice cracks, and Maria is actually heard giving out a scoff through the microphone; Carolina doesn’t care though, she knows she is a good singer so to have your voice crack once in a while doesn’t bother her.

5 Pieces finishes their rehearsals well, and they can go backstage to transform with hair, make-up and stage outfits. Just like yesterday on Music Bank, the girls are chatting with SNSD backstage when they aren’t busy doing something else.

This time Hannah is wearing a beige coloured hooded loose-fit top to a floral patterned chiffon skirt and a pair of leggings. Once again the clothes are comfortable and Hannah really like the soft, thin fabric of the top she is wearing, making sure to not touch any of their puppies in case she would get hairy. Her hair is styled to be wavy, put to lie on one side of her head, down her right shoulder. Her stylist keeps touching at the back of her neck to make sure the hair doesn’t fall back, making Hannah practice to dance to see how Hannah can do on stage to make sure the hair doesn’t fall back. The other members are also wearing familiar tops as she is, in orange, white, navy blue and black. Maria in white is wearing a pair of floral patterned leggings, looking tall like always; in orange is Carolina, wearing a layered-hem slipdress in white that looks like a pretty skirt; Emelia is in leggings and a big jacket to the navy blue top while Julia is wearing the black top and dark jeans. They are a pretty group today; they are a pretty group with the [Oppa] concept – that is what SNSD’s Yoona says anyway.

 

Hannah is standing on the stage with her head down, hands placed nicely together in front of her, holding the microphone with both hands while waiting for the performance to start. In front of the stage the audience is sitting, cheering even before the performance starts, and when the trendy R&B pop song begins to be played the audience starts off cheering more clearly. She is smiling and starts to dance, Emelia and Carolina starting off the song.

[Emelia] *Yeah!* [Carolina] *Come on!*

The group dances along to the music, dancing it charmingly in synch with the background music having their voices singing the next part, that is not sung live but Hannah still moves her lips while dancing, smiling too because fans are chanting their name brightly. This is completely different from their previous concepts of the past year, but Hannah likes it just as much. Carolina is the first to sing, always being the one who sounds cheesy in Hannah’s ears, which probably is why Hannah can’t stop smiling widely when Carolina sings her part in an attempt to do it sweetly.

Julia’s and Carolina’s part is a tone higher; the sound makes you know that the chorus will come next. It’s not hard to smile when performing this song. It is a sweet song, with sweet lyrics, sweet choreography and sweet voices, and the girls are smiling when performing, having their fans chanting along and cheering. The chorus comes next, and Hannah takes a side-step back to take the middle position, standing a little behind between Maria and Carolina, and Julia had to run from the right back to the left back of their formation before the group dances and sings the chorus. Hannah sings with the others, just smiling and dancing sweetly between the lines when someone else sings, staying in the middle position.

The three of them that had been dancing a step behind the other two takes two steps forward during the last *Oppa, my Oppa* while Carolina and Maria takes two steps back, and Hannah sings her part cutely, putting her free hand by her chest when singing the first part, the group only dancing when part between *(…)* is sung, and Hannah then stops to dance to look questioning when singing *Oppa, do I like you?* where the audience is happily answering. Hannah smiles when they dance for the next part, Hannah dancing to the right side as they dance while changing their positions, and Emelia continues to sing with her part. Hannah makes a swift move with her hand behind her neck to make sure her hair is lying right and she keeps dancing.

Hannah is again in the centre during her part, not dancing with the others but focusing more on having a sweet voice and to not let it waver. She dances with the others for the chorus, not singing the first line but singing her line next with a hand to her head, and for the next line she sings with the others and changing position with Maria who stood on her right side.

Hannah stepped up next to Carolina to sing out her part, *nervous* being sung longer and she does *Oh* with Carolina who happily takes out the front when they start to do the chorus again. Hannah walks over to the left to dance along.

Emelia is rapping in a low voice, and though her rap is heard clearly it is easy to hear Maria and Carolina sing in the background too. Emelia walks up to the front while rapping with no rush, the others continuing to dance in the formation a bit behind her, and to the end of Emelia’s rap the group walks up to stand in a line next to each other, lightly dancing the chorus part before the chorus begins anew and the group gets in the formation to dance it once again.

Hannah’s last part is what makes all fans scream. She got the middle position, Julia and Maria falling down on their knees like practiced, and Hannah giggles though the microphone with her eyes almost closed, smiling because Carolina puts an arm around her shoulders and is a little too close for Hannah to be comfortable and because she can’t really just slink out so she just bites together with a smile and when the music has ended, she laughs and bows to the audience along with her members and jogs off the stage.

“The y baby has returned,” a dark man’s voice is heard when Hannah walks inside the recording studio. Pete is sitting in the chair he usually is in, being a little overweight his stomach seems to have been the plate for his dinner with some scrambles left there, and he has a face that looks furious unless he is smiling, and when he smiles he looks like a little friendly bear. Also in the room are Park Hyekyung and SHINee’s Jonghyun, the two of them had been sitting by the table and talking but now looks up at the girl who comes inside. Hannah smiles at Pete’s greeting, after four years used to the nicknames he gives her after what he has heard from her members or from fans, and she is met by Jonghyun halfway through the studio.

“Hi,” he smiles at her, putting his arms around her for a hug and she blushes when he gives her a kiss on her cheek. He smells cologne, Hannah breathed it in when he hugged her and she gives a weak smile to Hyekyung who doesn’t leave his seat when greeting her. What she likes about Jonghyun is that he never has a too strong scent, she can breathe it in without having to start coughing – which not many guys seem to know when they are drowning themselves in cologne. “Are you ready to begin right away?” Jonghyun asks Hannah when she is taking off her scarf and jacket, putting it in the sofa with her bag, saying she is ready. She is wearing the same clothes she wore in the morning, though she is still wearing make-up from Music Core.

Jonghyun goes through the first part with Hannah, Hyekyung observing it from the side to fill in his thoughts and ideas at times. It goes well because Jonghyun and Hannah went through it yesterday too, and it doesn’t take long until Hannah is standing in the little room on the other side of the glass and she is singing to the song that Jonghyun played for her yesterday.

For Hannah it goes easy at first. Maybe because it isn’t an official recording where the song has to be finished, the others are pretty nice to her. Hyekyung always manages to kindly and professionally make recordings easier, but he is just as much as a perfectionist in music as Jonghyun and they both make Hannah record the same thing several of times before getting satisfied and they can continue with the next. There it gets a little difficult, as Hannah barely hears a difference in what they want her to change, not hearing a difference in what they get unsatisfied with to what they get satisfied with. Jonghyun asks for a break early in to the recording, and though they ask Hannah and she says she can continue, they still take a break.

Hannah sits down in the sofa along the wall in the back, talking with the others in the room while checking the cell phone she keeps in her jacket. Hyekyung leaves to go get something to drink, Jonghyun gliding across the floor in the chair to throw up his feet on the empty seat next to Hannah.

“When are you leaving in the morning?” he asks and leans over his own legs to try see what she is doing on her cell phone.

“Early,” Hannah answers and turns her cell phone around so he can see the text message from a friend. “We leave to the airport before six. And then after Manila tomorrow we are heading to be in Shanghai on Monday.”

“Hm,” Jonghyun answers, busy reading the text message. He leans back in his seat when he is done and Hannah starts to write an answer on the text, listening to Jonghyun and Pete talking with just half an ear.

When Hyekyung returns, SHINee’s Taemin is coming with him.

“I just wanted to see how it’s going,” Taemin charmingly explains himself when sitting down next to Hannah in the sofa, pushing Jonghyun’s feet to the side to sit comfortably. He leans a little to Hannah, whispering loud enough for Jonghyun to hear; “Jonghyun has been talking about doing this song with you for what feels like an eternity. He has been really annoying the whole day talking about it. So I had to come here and see it with my own eyes.”

“You jealous much?” Hannah teases him because of his way to talk about it and she laughs when the others laugh over her words and Hannah touches his arm to let him know she is just joking with him. Taemin laughs too though, laughing as the others in the room keeps joking about that Taemin might be jealous of that Jonghyun is recording a song with his girlfriend, and he wanted to come to see what he is missing. It’s just for fun and Taemin is in on it, adding up that he is so jealous while rolling his eyes, and Hannah just laughs at them.

Taemin stays for a while, watching them record and over Jonghyun’s head (so only Hannah can see from the other room) he gives a thumb up, and before leaving he gives a loud cheer to Hannah.

“You will over-shine Jonghyun in this song, Hannah, I can hear that,” he tells her and has to avoid Jonghyun to not be hit and he waves his hand to them before slinking out the door.

Hyekyung puts his hand in the air to signal for Hannah that they will continue. “We’ll do the same part again, okay?”

“Okay!” Hannah answers and moves her arms, taking a deep breath to prepare herself.

In Hannah’s point of view it feels like they are there for much longer than what they actually are while Hyekyung checks the time and is surprised over how fast time passed. But Hannah is happy when they listen through the result and hears the others in the room say it sounds amazingly well.

“What do you think?” Jonghyun asks with a smile to Hyekyung and Pete, putting his hand on Hannah’s arm when the song has ended for the second time.

“They won’t ever turn this song down,” Pete answers with eyebrows raised high on his forehead. Jonghyun’s smile grows and he looks at Hannah, who smiles in response.

“I told you so,” Jonghyun tells her in a low voice.

“You tell me a lot,” Hannah whispers and gives him a teasing smile that he laughs to, while Hyekyung asks Hannah if she is satisfied too. “I like it,” she answers with a convincing nodding.

She does like it. Seeing how happy and proud Jonghyun is over the result, she kind of feels like that too. It is a good song, a beautiful ballad with soft voices yet strong adlibs – two voices, Hannah and Jonghyun’s. She stays in the recording room, talking with the other three before she has to leave. Jonghyun is going to give her a ride home, so she walks with him to go see if his manager is somewhere in the building to tell him he is heading home. She is walking with her jacket hanging over her arm, her other arm linked with Jonghyun’s as she tries to not have to hold hands with him. Hannah isn’t a person who likes to hold hands. Jonghyun doesn’t seem to know that, so to not have to tell him that or give the wrong thoughts, she links arm with him instead.

“I told the agency that no one can sing a duet with me better than you, and I think we just recorded the proof of it,” Jonghyun is laughing, almost jumping next to her, “there is no chance they will turn that song down, Hyekyung said he won’t let that happen. They listen to him.”

She smiles when he takes her hand out of his arm to put his arm around her shoulders, holding her tight to him and his lips by her ear.

“I love hearing your voice,” he whispers before he laughs.

“Are you tired?” Hannah laughs when it feels like he is going to fall back over the way he leans his head back when laughing.

“I’m super excited,” he answers and gives her a kiss on her cheek that presses his nose, lips and cheek on hers for a few seconds before he leans back. He doesn’t put away his arm from her shoulders though.

When coming to a certain part of the SM building he takes down his arm, just walking side to side. Though everyone at SM Entertainment knows about the couple, there are still not that they can go around freely in the whole building and show off about their relationship, even if Hannah knows that Jonghyun would love to keep his arm around her, he does know a limit too.

She waits outside in the corridor when he walks inside a room where he knows his manager should be and she smiles when Jonghyun comes out. Now she is wearing her jacket, ready to go home; pack and sleep for a few hours, and when Jonghyun reaches out his hand for her now, she takes it. After a few steps she slinks out of his hand to hug his arm instead, the two of them talking while heading to the car.

Jonghyun opens the door for Hannah to sit down on the passenger seat and when he takes his seat behind the steering wheel she is sitting and smiling at him.

“What?” Jonghyun laughs, being in a good mood and he looks totally adorable when looking at her with a white smile.

Hannah looks away from him and shakes her head, smiling down at her hands. Jonghyun breathes out with a laugh and when he leans over to her she just smiles wider, only turning her head up when he puts his hand under her chin to make her look at her. He keeps showing his teeth while watching her face, seeing how she is smiling cutely at him.

“What?” he repeats his question to her and he takes down his hand from her face when he knows she won’t look away.

“Nothing,” she whispers and turns her head to the side when leaning in to place her lips on his for a kiss, her fingertips placed lightly below his cheek.

Jonghyun smiles against her lips, and she smiles after him. When he deepens the kiss she allows him, following his movements, and she giggles when he holds on to her neck in a firm grip with his hand, deepening the kiss even more so she barely can breathe. They keep making out, her body shaking from the inside because of him and he is holding on to her neck tightly to not feel his own hand shake. It is always something that goes through his body when it comes to Hannah, at times he just have to look at her from a distance to feel it while at other times he feels it when he is touching her. He goes all insane, and every time he touches her he knows that she feels it too. Just like now. He softens the kiss, not being so hard and when she feels that she bites on his lower lip lightly and they both smiles again when stopping the kissing, their faces being so close to each other that they almost touch. Jonghyun gives her a soft kiss on her lips before leaning back in his seat.

“I should take you home,” he says and takes her hand in his after putting on his seatbelt.

“Sure,” Hannah just smiles, her smile growing when he kisses the back of her hand before he leaves it on her lap and starts the car.

“Sure,” Jonghyun repeats with a laugh, starting to drive with a smiling glance at her.

Hannah puts on her seatbelt too and breathes out when looking forward, seeing the night view on the street when he drives out of the garage. She is so tired by now and would love to enjoy the ride with her eyes closed, maybe drift in to sleep for a few minutes…

She opens her eyes when feeling Jonghyun’s hand touches her hair, and she looks over at him. He is keeping his eyes on the road but he had seen her sitting there with closed eyes and he couldn’t help but to touch her; his fingers just lightly running through her hair with his hand resting on her shoulder. He smiles softly when noticing her looking at him.

“You can sleep if you want,” he says with a glance at her.

“I’m fine,” she says in a low voice, smiling tiredly at him and Jonghyun gives her another glance. He smiles when seeing how tired she is, moving his hand from her shoulder to her cheek to caress it with his thumb before he takes it away to focus on driving.

“Do you know that we have been like this for over 29 months now?” Jonghyun chuckles and glances out the window to his left when taking a turn.

“Two and a half year,” Hannah nods, and she smiles widely at him. “Why would you bring that up?”

Jonghyun smiles at her question. “I didn’t think you would think I have a reason to bring up for how long we have been a couple,” he mentions and gives her a new glance to see that she still wants an answer. “You know how… well, its Valentine’s Day next month.”

“I have already checked my schedule that day; I’m in Japan. That whole week, actually,” Hannah answers.

“No, I wasn’t thinking of that,” Jonghyun says, “Wouldn’t it be fun to do something that couples do? I know we are both busy, so my ideas of going to the cinema and dinner are broken this year too. But we could do other things, like wearing a couple tees.”

She giggles at the end of his sentence, looking at him with a smile and raised eyebrows. “You want to wear the same clothes?”

“It’s very popular to wear couple tees,” Jonghyun informs her as if she didn’t know that. “Don’t laugh at it!”

“I’m not laughing,” Hannah defends herself, but she is laughing and she laughs even more when he stretches out his hand towards her, and she holds his hand away to not be tickled or whatever it is he wants to do.

“I really want to do that, Hannah,” Jonghyun pouts when she is done laughing at his request. “We could wear it and have a video chat if we are in different countries and can’t meet… and take a picture…”

“You really want to wear a couple tee with me? Like… seriously?”

“I’m completely serious, Hannah,” he answers with a confident nod. “Don’t you ever imagine doing things together? Like normal couples?”

“Couple tees are not normal where I come from,” Hannah answers with her eyebrows raised again at him. “And since I have never been in a relationship before I don’t know what is normal for couples.”

Jonghyun chuckles and touches her leg with a smile for a few seconds.

“I miss taking walks,” Hannah admits to him, thinking of his question. “That is probably the only thing I can come up with. Taking a walk as a couple…”

“Well, we can’t really do that,” Jonghyun breathes out.

“I know, but we have done it. And since you asked me … I answered.”

“But you have never thought of couple tees? Not even once? You are living in Korea, Hannah, you must have.”

“People talk about it on TV, friends have talked about it too, but I have never…” Hannah stops in the sentence and looks at him, pouting, and Jonghyun glances at her a few times with a questioning look, asking what it is. “Do you really want to wear couple tees?”

“Yes!” Jonghyun laughs. Hannah interrupts the conversation by saying he can drop her off the street before where she lives. “Why?”

“Paparazzi,” Hannah grimaces. “Manager Lim said they have been lurking around for a while. If you drop me of before the street, no one will see in case someone is there.”

“Sure. So you will wear the tee with me? I won’t give up until I get my will through,” Jonghyun warns her.

He doesn’t see her grimace but he can hear her sigh. “I won’t wear pink.”

Jonghyun laughs and stops the car on the side where she had told him to, and he puts his arm around Hannah to pull her in for a kiss, though he can’t stop smiling. “I love you,” he smiles.

“You get that happy from hearing me say I will wear a couple tee with you?” Hannah laughs and takes off the seatbelt. Jonghyun won’t stop smiling and he nods, leaning his head on his backrest and continuing to smile at her. Hannah laughs again when seeing how cute he is and she leans over to give him a kiss. “Thanks for the ride.”

“I’ll call you when I come home,” Jonghyun whispers to her lips and gets another kiss.
