The camera-man from Monday arrives at the fan meeting venue in Yokohama on Wednesday (he was not allowed to film the fan meeting in Tokyo on Monday) and starts filming right after entering the building. There are more cameras there today than what it had been when he filmed 5 Pieces in the recording studio as media and also a DVD recording for a future DVD collection of 5 Pieces Japanese activities are present. The first thing he films of 5 Pieces today is of Carolina, Maria and Emelia going through things to say in Japanese for the fan meeting with a mix of seriousness and joy while sitting in the room backstage. They have styled up in their [Sleeper] outfits, today wearing matching white pants and black short-sleeve vests with some of the members wearing white long-sleeves or short-sleeves under. Like always their make-up is the most important part and Maria looks very feminine with her light brown hair pulled back in a high pony-tail, her hair hanging far down her back. They all look different compared to when they had been in the recording studio, at that day having a relaxed look while now they look like they are being part of an alien movie.

The camera-man turns to film to the left corner of the room where Hannah quietly on her own is looking through a rehearsal video and stretching with a focused face-expression and Julia is still getting her short hair styled in a nice, short Mohawk at the top of her head. This is 5 Pieces preparing before the fan meeting.

Hannah smiles and waves to the camera when recognizing the camera-man, but only when she is done stretching in the corner and she looks like she is going to walk by the camera from one side to the other when she stops her steps to give him some chocolate.

“We got a lot of chocolates from the company I model for here in Japan. It’s delicious,” Hannah explains to him and her face-expression does not just sponsor the chocolate in front of the camera but it also tells him that he can take it. The camera-man gladly takes it, as he has seen the commercial of Hannah on TV for the chocolate she is now giving him.

“Hannah can’t eat chocolate,” Julia says and stretches over Hannah to take the rest of chocolate in the paper Hannah is holding on to, smiling at the camera. Hannah grimaces. She doesn’t eat it, but she is walking around telling everyone else to eat it.

“You don’t like chocolate?” the camera-man sounds to be panicking though, since she is after all modelling for chocolate.

“No, oh my god, I love chocolate. But I can’t eat it during schedule,” Hannah answers. “My throat gets weird and my stomach gets huge.” She laughs when mentioning her stomach because she shows with her hands a huge stomach, and it is embarrassing afterwards. She apologizes slightly before walking away, as if she tries to hide.

As the fan meeting is closing in, the girls are getting more nervous, especially when hearing from staff that there are a lot of fans out there. The girls keeps singing, the room constantly having music in it because the girls doesn’t the whole time practice together but just randomly practice their Japanese lyrics, practicing the dance and going through things to say and Japanese expressions. Once again they do an acapella, and the reason for that is explained by Carolina when the camera-man asks afterwards.

“To unite our voices from five to one, we sing acapella,” Carolina answers proudly. “We just practiced it before, but it has become a good habit to do it before a performance because it makes us focus on each other’s voices to become one. Unity is good for teamwork.”

And not much time later, 5 Pieces brings their hands on top of each other for a cheer. They look nervous when putting their hands over each other, nervous as they don’t know if they will do well at this fan meeting and if their fans will enjoy it…

“Do well today!” Maria says in Japanese, starting off the cheer.

“Ikou (Japanese: Let’s go), ikou, ikou!” the other members answers in their Japanese way to cheer and Maria joins in for the group to throw up their hands while cheering out; “5 Pieces!”

Hannah claps her hands when the cheer is over and she follows her members out to get to the stage, jumping a little on the way and shaking her hands to get rid of the nervousness in her body. Her face is just smiling and she repeats their greetings along with her members to not forget it. And she shows a cheering fist to the camera when walking by one. Right before they walk up on the stage, Hannah gives Carolina a hug, telling her they will do well – she knows Carolina isn’t confident in Japanese, so even if it’s small she gives her friend a hug – and Carolina looks happier by it.

The stage lightens up when [Sleeper] begins and with the lights in their faces, Hannah can still see the hall in front of them filled with fans on the first floor and second floor; a cheer welling out from the fans right before Hannah starts off to sing. She smiles a little behind the microphone while doing her part, dancing and singing at the same time. Maria sings after her, but then it is Hannah’s turn again. Throughout the whole song, fans are showing their support; definitely not as loud as the Korean fans, but they are waving their hands and signs in the air. If the ladies closed their eyes or if they stood at a place on the stage so they got the lights right in their eyes, they wouldn’t have guessed how many fans there actually are based on the sound, but to actually see the hall filled with fans makes it rather unbelievable to know they are in Japan.

[Sleeper] comes to an end, and while panting a little the girls stands on a line on the stage while receiving applauses from their fans, and [Let Me Be Yours] starts to play. It gets quiet in the audience right away, completely silent, and the ladies sings the Japanese ballad as they have been practicing and rehearsing. Hannah is good at remembering lyrics for some reason, at least if she has music to remember it to. Julia makes a mistake though while singing her part as she sings the same part that Maria had sung before her, as those two parts are kind of familiar to each other. Carolina’s voice is loud and confident in the ballad, and Maria’s voice always sounds beautiful on stage. When they sing the chorus together, they all think their acapella practices have paid off simply because their voices doesn’t try to over shine the others. Not even Carolina. The song sounds good, and Julia’s mistake was just a small mistake.

Slowly the song is coming to an end; after singing the last chorus together, Hannah is the one who ends the song with the last word of the chorus, the other members going quiet and Hannah singing it alone for just two-three seconds and the lights on stage dies out.

The audience starts to applause and cheer to the black stage, screaming loudly when softer lights are put on to reveal staff taking out chairs on the stage and you can see Maria drinking water a little on the side and Hannah waving to the audience when the girls are taking their positions; standing in front of the chairs, not sitting down just yet.

“Hello, we are pieces of one,” Hannah starts the group greeting in Japanese and the members all together greets; “5 Pieces” with a bow.

“The beautiful captain of 5 Pieces, I’m Maria,” the princess leader introduces herself as she has practiced in Japanese and she gives a very simple bow when receiving cheers for her unique greeting.

“This Is Me,” Emelia says, copying her solo song title, “I’m Emelia aka EM, the charismatic rapper.”

“Hello, I’m 5 Pieces’ Carolina… Let’s have fun today!” Carolina cheerfully introduces herself with a laugh, mostly because she had almost made a mistake at the end of her introduction.

“I’m 5 Pieces’ sweet, sweet Julia. Hello everyone,” Julia greets with a smile and wave with her hand; all of them saying what they have prepared.

“And I’m 5 Pieces’ Hannah, it’s nice to meet all of you,” Hannah finishes off and she glances at her members after giving a bow before continuing; “Welcome to 5 Pieces’ [Sleeper] fan meet in Yokohama! We have waited for quite some time to come back here, so we are super excited to see so many people here today.”

While receiving cheers, the girls are taking their seats on the chairs; Maria waves like crazy out over the audience when she had heard her name being called out along with ‘beautiful’, so she looks extremely happy. Now when there is no music playing, the fans are making their voices heard. A female host comes up to the stage, informing everyone that she will be guiding the fan meet but everyone on stage starts to laugh when some voices in the audience are extremely loud.

“There are a lot of guys that came today,” the host mentions with a laugh as the ladies keeps laughing too.

“Thank you!” Maria thanks them with a wave and a laugh.

“We are actually used to have more girls in the audience, usually it doesn’t sound this dark,” Emelia comments in Japanese to the host, continuing to laugh a little while the male fans are making their voices heard.

“Could we… do something?” Maria asks the host in her not so fluent Japanese, but the host asks what it is and Maria turns to the members to tell them in Japanese.

“What we want to do,” Hannah starts saying in Japanese when Emelia doesn’t explain, and Hannah looks out over the audience, “is if we can ask all the girls here today to scream one time, and then all the boys scream? Can we do that?”

The audience cheers happily in response and the ladies looks excited. Maria hurries up on her feet to be able to direct them. “I say ‘three, two, one - girls’, girls scream. I say ‘three, two, one - boys’, boys scream. OKAY?”

“OKAY!” the audience screams to answer and Maria looks like her smile is going to reach her ears. The other ladies, still sitting down, looks excited too. Maria counts down in Japanese just as she had said, and after saying ‘girls’, all the ladies reaches out their microphones towards the audience and there are many light female voices giving an answer. Hannah laughs and claps her hands in excitement over the response and she leans a little off her chair when Maria does the same, this time saying ‘boys’ and their microphones are leaned out to the male fans that are screaming out.

Hannah must have shown how impressed she got over the differences in the voices of female and male fans because someone at the front gives a reaction to it, which makes Hannah just smile as she applauses along with her members to the very loud and cheering audience that did exactly as Maria wanted them to.

After having a short talk, the host brings up the first segment of the fan meeting.

“The members of 5 Pieces have a habit of taking pictures a little now and then,” the host says, turning from 5 Pieces on the stage to the audience at the front. “And for this segment we have gathered some pictures that 5 Pieces took during the filming of their [Sleeper] PV filming. You will all get an exclusive look on the pictures as well as comments from the members.”

The screen behind 5 Pieces lightens up – the ladies all turns around in their chairs to see it – and first off it shows a video from 5 Pieces [Sleeper] promotional video making of the girls dancing during filming and the video stops to reveal the text ‘5 Pieces personal behind the scenes pictorial’. The first picture pops up and Carolina seems to start to laugh so much that she trips off the chair, squatting down when she almost falls down on her and Julia laughs at her while the others laughs at the picture. The picture is with all five members in 5 Pieces, all of them standing in a try to fit all five faces as close to the camera as possible. The sudden close-up was what made Carolina fall off her chair and Hannah can understand why since none of them expected it to look so big on the screen. Even the host gives a laugh and asks them what they were doing.

“We tried to show our eye make-up,” Emelia coolly answers and she turns around in her chair to the audience. “For [Sleeper] it is a lot of focus on our eye, make-up, and it looked really cool so we tried to … make everyone, put in one picture.”

“All I can see is my forehead!” Maria laughs, speaking in Korean and even now she has her hair tightly back in a pony-tail, showing every inch of her face. Since she was a little lower corner in the picture, just a bit of her upper-lip and up is shown, and her forehead seem to take a lot of space. Their make-up in the picture is very light, like crystal in light blue, white, grey, lilac and such colours – like the concept of the song.

“Julia looks kind of cute in that picture,” Hannah quietly comments in Japanese, still looking at the picture up on the screen and she laughs when the audience happily responses. Julia doesn’t seem to react, though she gives a small nod in agreement.

They continue with the next picture, which is a full-shot of Julia and Emelia from the set in their cool outfits. Hannah claps her hands together once and turns to Julia sitting next to her to tell her in Japanese ‘the best’ with her thumb up. Fans love it, and Julia wants a handshake for the comment – all of them definitely know what ‘the best’ is in Japanese.

“Next please. I’m not there,” Maria sighs in her diva mood and waves her hand, getting a laugh from the audience.

They do go on with the next picture, this time showing two pictures next to each other; one of Hannah and the choreographer going through the dance and one of Carolina sitting with some papers. Both pictures have been taken well, making it look better and more interesting than what it actually is, and Carolina suddenly seems interested to give a comment.

“I look really clever there,” she says in Korean, adding in Japanese; “I’m handsome.” She says the word that normally is used for guys, but she likes that word so she doesn’t care if it is wrong.

“Who took these pictures?” the host wonders.

“I did,” Emelia confesses, raising her hand proudly. “I walked around and took pictures of everyone in all situations. And if you look closer on Carolina’s picture, you can see a blue foot sticking out behind her chair… that’s where Julia was hiding and sleeping.”

“Hannah looks scary,” Maria chuckles.

“The concept was ‘dead angels’,” Hannah jokes, as they kept walking around on the set and saying that because of the white outfits and extreme hair and make-up. The pictures are changed and once again everyone bursts out laughing, because this time it is also two pictures; one is of a white chair and the other is a picture of 5 Pieces in their ripped [Daze] outfits with fake tattoos shown on their arms, neck and even legs, and the ladies seem to be panicking when seeing it.

“That one is actually from our first [Daze] performance in Korea,” Emelia answers and she has to hit Carolina on the arm because Carolina is leaning on her from laughing. The girls had their charismatic looks from [Daze], and they were standing with overdoing poses that just looks hilarious no matter how you see it.

“What about the chair then?”

“I thought it looked cool when we were filming [Sleeper] so I took a picture of it,” Emelia answers.

“Then… what… exactly, were you all doing in this picture?” the host doesn’t really know how to ask the question.

“This, is … the excited 5 Pieces after a performance,” Emelia answers and she does receive a cheer from the audience that seems to like the silly members. “We wanted to show off our tattoos…”

“That’s why Maria is standing like that,” Hannah explains, pointing over at Maria in the picture who if showing off her long legs.

“Yeah… And my neck looks so cool,” Emelia fills in confidently, talking about her own tattoo in the picture. “It’s a good picture.”

They change to the next one, this time having four pictures that are alike; self-taken by Carolina.

“Oh, so cute!” Carolina is fast to give a reaction to her own picture, this time commenting in Japanese, and Hannah nods and says Carolina is pretty. Her short hair was styled like a boy’s with different shades of lilac highlights in her hair and the make-up was for the PV filming.

“While we were filming, the staff said we looked like dead angels,” Emelia explains to everyone before pointing up at the pictures, “She just looks dead.”

The audience doesn’t seem to agree as they call out she is pretty (and they laugh of course) and Carolina points from Emelia to their fans, in Japanese saying that Emelia is a liar.

“Please next,” Maria out of nowhere speaks, not interested in Carolina’s pretty four pictures and the next picture that pops up on the screen is from the dressing-room from the PV filming, a picture that shows all the five girls; Carolina and Julia are eating, Maria is sleeping, Hannah is sitting by her laptop and Emelia is reaching her hand out from the sofa to where the girls are eating. “There, there, there, there, there!” Maria bursts out, repeating the same Japanese over and over again when rushing up from her seat to be able to point at the screen, having the audience give out a laugh over her sudden movement. Maria is so tall so she can actually just stand there and point at the thing on the screen she wanted to show.

“That is our kitten, Ace,” Hannah simply explains to the audience that seem to like the boasting from the members. Ace was standing in the sofa with his front paws on Emelia’s leg, interested in what she was doing with her outstretched arm.

“In this picture… we were resting,” Emelia explains, “and I was trying to get some food from the two eating monster’s there. In the end, I didn’t get any.”

“Carolina ate it all,” Hannah fills in, smiling when the audience laughs.

“I sleep,” Maria says when taking her seat again.

“Why did you take this picture?” the host wonders, as only Julia in the picture seemed aware of that they were being photographed in that moment.

“Our manager took it,” Hannah answers and automatically looks to the side where their manager is standing, but the wrong manager though. “It’s good to take pictures; memories.”

There are a few more pictures they shows on the screen; a self-taken cute picture of Maria, a picture of three members when they are standing on the set ready to film and they are strangely posing, a picture of Carolina and Julia standing together, a picture with 5 Pieces sweetly sitting together on the side of the stage, one of Hannah standing ready to film her solo part but she gives a v-sign to the camera taking the picture (Emelia said she had called out Hannah’s name to get a picture of her) and when the next picture shows Hannah starts to laugh in shock before she rushes over to Emelia to ask why that picture is there. Emelia just laughs and puts a hand on Hannah’s waist, as if she wants to make sure Hannah is too close so she can’t get hit. Hannah laughs and gets away from Emelia, bowing to apologize to the audience before embarrassedly taking her seat again. The picture shown is from their [Oppa] music video filming, of Hannah sitting next to that white teddy bear and Hannah is resting her head on its head, having her eyes closed. The audience reaction is ‘cute’ along with the members but Hannah just complains that she had asked Emelia to remove that picture.

“Definitely, our cute baby,” Maria says in simple Japanese.

“I will leave a complaint,” Hannah mutters, not happy that the picture is shown at all. The audience disagrees with her and Hannah pouts at them. “You are all laughing, I know it.”

They laugh at how cute she is when she is upset and the audience keeps calling out that she is cute and that it is a good picture just for her to stop pouting, and in the end Hannah just laughs. She puts her hands on her cheeks, telling the audience that they are cute too. The next picture makes most of the girls start to complain, burst out ‘who sent this in’ and ‘that’s not fair’, and Emelia is facing the audience with a very satisfied look on her face, only speaking up when she has been accused of sending in this picture.

“I took this picture recently at our apartment, and we were just sitting and watching TV in the sofa,” she explains with the same satisfied look in her face.

“We aren’t wearing any make-up.”

“This is so wrong…”

“Look what I’m wearing!”

“Very nice, Emelia, now they will all get nightmares.”

But it is actually a pretty picture. 5 Pieces are gathered in the sofa in their living-room in Seoul, it is after they have washed up and are getting ready to go to bed so Julia is in her morning gown, Maria is in her one-piece, Hannah is sitting on the floor with one of their puppies as the other members are stretching out in the sofa and Carolina is wearing a pink pyjamas and Emelia taking the picture has only her flawless bare face shown with hair still wet from the shower.

“I think we look good,” Emelia comments, “you can even see our concert poster on the wall in the back.”

And that is all of the pictures. The girls gives some final comments, and Hannah gives a sigh, making the host ask if she is still upset over the picture of her with the teddy bear.

“I don’t know what to say,” Hannah sighs again and shakes her head, then giving a smile when hearing the audience saying it was a good picture.

“Are you ready to get your questions about 5 Pieces answered?” the host asks the audience as the next segments starts. “We have received all of your questions and we have taken out a few of them to let 5 Pieces answer, for everyone to get to know them a little more.”

To help with some of the questions, 5 Pieces each get a little board to have in their lap where they will be able to write their answer. The moment they receive it, Maria starts to doodle something, which makes the host laughs and say she hasn’t even asked a question yet. Maria shows her board within seconds to the audience, making them all laugh as it is a bad drawn face, with Carolina’s name written next to it. Though the others are making comments about it, Emelia’s receive the most laugh from the audience with her simple ‘it’s the same’ comment. The host asks the ladies if they are ready, waiting a second while watching Maria erase her ugly Carolina portrait, before the first question is asked.

“’When you are among yourselves, who is the most talkative?’” the host asks first and Hannah gives a laugh.

It goes from just a simple sound, but when Hannah actually thinks of the question she even leans back laughing, mentioning to Julia in Korean that it is an impossible question. Hannah writes down a simple answer, writing ‘everyone’ in Japanese. When the members are showing their boards, they are looking at each other to see what they have written and Maria is fast to get up on her seat, pointing at Carolina.

“Ya, why is only my name written?!” Maria complains, forgetting the Japanese language.

Carolina looks surprised when seeing that all of the other members have written ‘5 Pieces’, ‘all five children’ or ‘everyone’ and Carolina gives out a surprised sound when asking if they didn’t have to write just one member.

“In 5 Pieces, all of us talk a lot,” Emelia explains. “When we are just the five of us and if one is talking, all the others are talking too.”

“It’s loud,” Julia comments with a nod.

“Oh, but Carolina thinks Maria talks a little more…?” the host wonders.

“Yeah, why do you think that?” Maria is fast to bite in Carolina’s direction while Carolina tries to put on the most innocent face-expression.

“No it’s… I thought we could only say one member. So to choose one, I took Maria,” Carolina explains in Korean and turns to Hannah to have it translated.

Going on to the next question, they won’t use the board. The question is ‘how do you get better at singing and dancing?’

“Nonstop practice,” Emelia answers well. “Always practicing; backstage just now, we were practicing too.”

“The secret is nonstop practicing,” Hannah nods in agreement.

After answering a few questions like that, they are asked to express their thoughts of today through drawing. Closely after starting to draw, Julia glances at Carolina’s board and gives out complaints.

“Carolina is too good!”

“Carolina is really good at drawing,” Hannah comments in Japanese and the host is fast to say ‘no peeking’ when Hannah is about to get up from her chair to take a look.

The fan meeting ends with a performance of [Once Upon A Time] before the ladies head backstage. Almost the first thing they do is to take of their high heels backstage, and Hannah laughs when hearing a Japanese staff give a joke over the audience’s reactions during the meeting while Hannah is putting on a pair of sneakers.

“I heard when getting off the stage someone say ‘ah, too bad’,” Hannah says to the staff with a laugh, not having much problem at all with the Japanese. Hannah looks up at her right when seeing someone approach and she smiles when seeing she is being filmed.

“It has ended,” the camera-man tells her in Korean.

“The first fan meeting for today has ended,” Hannah nods, putting down her foot when she is done taking on her sneaker and she stands up straight, “It was fun meeting our fans in Yokohama, their reactions were good. And now… we are getting ready for the second fan meeting soon.”

“I heard that 5 Pieces is going to Korea after today’s schedule,” the man mentions and Hannah looks over the room in silence while thinking about it, then nodding at the camera-man, meeting his eyes.

“We have radio and other activities today in Yokohama to… around 10, and then we go to Korea right away. It’s just for a few days, and then we are going back to Japan again,” Hannah answers, and slowly after a few seconds of silence she gives the camera a v-sign. He asks her what they will do in Korea and Hannah looks like it is a really stupid question; unable to do anything but just look at the camera-man at first. “Um … work. We will go to Korea to work and then come back to Japan to work. Exciting, isn’t it?”

She laughs and apologizes as she has to walk to the side to fix her make-up for the next fan meeting.
