Chapter 83

Youngest of Pieces: [WHO- I AM] (8)

“It is 5 Pieces’ second concert tour, named BLACK & WHITE after our latest full-length album here in Korea. This concert, just as our last one, will have the concept taken from the name. We have tried to prepare to show everyone how we have grown as singers and artists and we are planning to visit more fans around the world with this tour. We hope all of our fans can enjoy it.”

The five members of 5 Pieces are sitting next to each other in the spotlight with their concert poster as a background for the press conference, photos with flashes being taken nonstop while they are formally answering question. Hannah is sitting like a statue, all frozen up in the polite position with knees pressed together and hands firmly resting on her lap where she is holding the microphone, nodding a little now and then to pretend she is agreeing to whatever her members are saying while she in fact is sitting there, terrified someone will bring up the wrong question directed to her or that she will out of nowhere start to panic.

“Having activities in Japan, do you feel prepared to have this tour?” one of the journalists wonder and Hannah can see from the corner of her eye that Carolina brings the microphone up to to answer.

“We have done our best to prepare for this tour, and even if we have been a lot in Japan this year with other activities we are ready to take on this concert tour with all our strength to not disappoint our fans that have waited.”

Another question; “This tour is said to be a celebration tour for your fifth year since debut, have you prepared anything special to celebrate it on stage?”

“The concert is the celebration but we have prepared songs from our past five years to fill up the concert with 5 Pieces’ history and we feel it is all a dedication to our fans, so in fact we are thanking our fans through this concert by giving our best and showing how we have grown together,” Emelia is the one answering this time.

“Your latest songs have received world-wide knowledge and popularity; do you feel a pressure that you need to do better for the concert because of that?”

Hannah thinks about the British interviewer from earlier, the one she had walked out on. She hasn’t seen him since, and even if her ladies told her everything went fine and that he seemed too busy admiring Maria, Hannah still wonders if she will have to go apologize for her behaviour. Meanwhile, Carolina is the one answering the question;

“We feel that we need to work hard because of all the extra attention we are given from foreign media but then again we are always trying to do our best so it hasn’t changed our focus.”

Maria continues when noticing she is done; “I know the ladies all feel that we have a pressure on us to do well, but most of all we just want to get up on the stage; perform and show what we have prepared and have fun with our fans.”

Hannah wonders how her family would look like if they came to the concert. If they saw an arena with around 15.000 fans, everyone being there to see 5 Pieces – a group her family probably only think is a game or a couple of teenagers’ fun. Would they be amazed if they saw Hannah go up on the stage and perform, and look the happiest she can ever be… or would they not take notice of the magic behind it all? If they just had come to the music festival in Sweden two weeks ago, to see the overwhelming reaction by the audience when 5 Pieces performed on that stage; would they even take notice of that their very own Hannah was performing in front of a hundred of people and actually being part of the night’s entertainment? Do they even care that she is a singer? Do they know what she has succeeded in doing these past five years? Not only has she lost weight that her mother always seemed so bothered by, she has actually been getting attention for it and being praised for her current body-type. She has learnt how to sing and she can even dance; her family would never have even imagined her doing that.

This person, this blonde girl is now sitting as one of the five members in the world’s most eye-catching girl-group, is not the little chubby and untalented girl she was five years ago when she left her home. She left home to grow, to become part of the world in a way no one in her whole family line have done before. This girl sitting here now is 5 Pieces’ Hannah, a complete stranger to her Swedish family. Is that why they have parted? Have her family realised that she is a different person now? She isn’t born to be an artist; she has her flaws and she can make mistakes, and she can break apart and think her world is falling to pieces, but Hannah knows she can never do anything else but to be part of 5 Pieces – to perform the way they do and receive attention from strangers thinking they are actually good at this.

With a smile she looks at her members sitting to her right. 5 Pieces is only like this with the five members. She loves her group, and not because they are a group, but because they are best friends.

“We noticed when preparing for this concert that we have put a more pressure on ourselves on the performances and quality, as we now have some experience compared to our first tour last year, we are more aware of our surroundings during the concert and we will try to make it the best experience for all our fans in the audience,” Maria is answering a question that Hannah didn’t hear. She was too lost in thoughts, but she hears Maria’s answer clearly. Maria smiles wider when noticing Hannah is smiling at her, continuing; “It is meaningful for us to perform on stage for this tour. It’s five years of hard work with our fans and we really want to show it through tonight’s concert and this tour. Please look forward to it.”

Hannah can’t wait to the concert. Will their fans enjoy it? Will they like the songs and performances 5 Pieces have prepared for them? She looks forward to figure it out, to meet their fans once again through a concert.

Once the press-conference is over, Hannah bows politely before heading backstage. No questions about Jonghyun, her family, their family’s support or if they expect to go to Sweden with the tour. Carolina got to talk about her injury from their arena tour, say that she is all good now and ready to break her whole leg if it puts this concert in a successful road. Hannah never knows what Carolina is talking about.

Maria puts her arms around Hannah from behind when they are heading backstage, muttering words that Hannah doesn’t catch up with but Maria doesn’t mind as she grabs on to Julia to give them both a weird hug that ends with them laughing from almost falling to the floor.

They are happy. Not because they are trying to forget Hannah’s mother call, but because they will start their BLACK & WHITE concert tour is less than an hour away. They are happy to know they are receiving attention and love and support from media, fans and friends – all over the world. There is no language barrier in music and they love it, they love the fact that no one can stop them from doing this; no rumours, no bad family members, no injuries… 5 Pieces’ concert is still going strong.

“Let’s go, Pieces, let’s go!” Carolina is chanting and clapping her hands when they are outside the room. Hannah laughs and starts to chant with her; Maria does it too from the top of her lungs that the girls starts to laugh as their manager says they should rest their voices.

“No way Maria will do that,” Emelia comments when spotting a camera near her, knowing they caught her comment and that is why she said it.

Coming back inside the room, the ladies are stretching and warming up while fixing hair and make-up a last time. Julia sneaks out to check on the dancers just briefly once too. Hannah gives a pout to one of the cameras when one of their managers is holding on to Ace in his arms but Hannah is not allowed to hug the kitten because of the fur. The ladies are kept under a strict order to keep a distance from their pets that are resting backstage.

With a deep breath, Hannah is walking through the corridor to reach the dancers who are waiting backstage for the cheer. The ladies are nervous now, all cameras filming them captures it. Hannah wants to cry again when reaching behind the stage, especially when she hears the crowd. They are loud! She thinks about the arena, how for the past three days they have been rehearsing in it, empty. Now it is filled with people. Remembering the sight of the empty arena, Hannah knows she will be fascinated if they fill it up with people.

Wearing the matching black lace-up front lace tank tops to black lace-hem cropped pants, 5 Pieces have pulled on white boxing robes on top of it with black belts. It is for the opening with [Black & White], where they had a boxing theme. The girls look stunning in it, and Emelia is hiding herself under the hood. Hannah has her own detail to her robe; instead of having a black belt around her waist, she has a purple one. Each member has her own detail, to stand out a little on her own with the outfit but all of them have it closed to hide the outfit underneath that they though did show during the press-conference and interviews earlier. Hannah loves the boxing robes; the fabric is satin and it is really smooth, soft and easy to wear and all of the ladies were amazed when they tried it on the first time.

Their outfits are great.

“Are we doing it now?” Maria asks when glancing around at the people gathering around them for the cheer.

She holds on to Hannah’s shoulder for the youngest to stay next to her, and while 5 Pieces are placing their hands in the middle, only a few of the dancers around them manages to reach in for it too. Everyone else is just pushing together with arms around each other; they need to stick tight together, laughing a little at each other. Hannah smiles when seeing the taller male dancers standing behind the others, joking with Emelia that the tall ones can stand a little behind because they still see everything thanks to the short people at the front.

Maria looks confused. “What are you saying? Should I step back a bit?”

Though she hadn’t heard what they said, they all laugh because Maria is flaunting her height by standing in the middle with the “short” people, as the dancers in the back joked.

“Is everyone in the circle now?” one of the dancers wonders as she wants to continue.

“A messy circle, I would say,” Emelia jokes and laughs with some of the dancers. Hannah takes another deep breath, looking around at the nervous and excited people. Everyone looks forward to see how the concert will go like; how all their hard work will end up being. If they did well preparing, if they will do well tonight, if they can continue to love this nervous feeling … They all have the face-expression of wonders with these questions. You can clearly see it in their faces when Maria tells everyone to be quiet so she can give the speech.

“Black & White, people…” Maria breathes out, a smile growing in her face already. “As the leader of 5 Pieces, I will be in charge of helping you all survive working with us five annoying girls. It’s been five years since 5 Pieces debuted, and some of you have worked with us since the beginning; thank you for pulling out with us this far and thank you for sharing your dreams with us. All your work for today’s concert is the beginning of many hard working days and hours to continue and finish this tour, and I wish all of us luck and joy in working together… The first day is always messy, therefore I thank you all in advance because I know all of you do your best, and mistakes are there for improvements for the next concert. But don’t mess up the show – Carolina.”

“I never do.” Carolina takes it easy, as they all by now know that Maria likes to put the blame on Carolina for making mistakes. Hannah is amazed when looking at Carolina staring at their hands – she is nervous. Butterflies come to Hannah’s stomach when seeing how nervous her members are. The concert will soon begin.

“Like we sing in the song [WHO-I AM]; I’m here to stay, we’re here to win. To not make the world look BLACK & WHITE, let’s concur this together! Now who are we?!”

“5 Pieces!” everyone cheers with a laugh because of Maria’s good speech ending.

“WHO ARE WE?!”

5 PIECES!

Hannah laughs when all of them throw up their hands in the air at the final shout, but her laugh is more because of someone’s arm that had been reached over her shoulder to reach the centre had hit her head just briefly. The dancer apologizes to her, but he laughs too because Hannah laughs at it. Hannah then turns back to Maria, meeting the leader’s eyes and they are both smiling with their eyes, much bigger than the smile their lips are making.

“Are you ready?” Hannah asks the leader.

“Are you ready, baby?” Maria asks with a chuckle, so excited, and embraces Hannah in a hug where they barely touch each other to not ruin anything with their looks.

So what if her family hates her or doesn’t understand what she is doing? Hannah has a life here; she has the best life she could ever imagine, even if she is bad at handling it she loves this life. All she has to do now is to focus on the concert. Fans out there, whether they believe in who she is or not, 5 Pieces’ Hannah is the one who will get up on the stage tonight and do exactly what she has learnt to do during these past years.

She warms up her voice again nervously when hearing Julia do it, and the ladies are together talking about the concert quietly when gathering together to prepare for the final minutes.

The opening video starts, and Hannah’s body wants to shake in anxiety to get up on the stage and see those people that are now screaming.

The opening video begins of a person sitting with security cameras; you can see the person’s silhouette from behind with the security cameras seen in front of the silhouette. A part of the expensive security screen is pressed in another angle, the fancy nails shows it is a woman sitting there and controlling the security. By pressing the screen, one of the videos being filmed appear on the biggest main screen in the room and the screen for the concert showing all of this zooms in on just that part. It shows a bunch of people walking in a line, this quality makes the colours look different, as if it is another period of the century; all of the people walking look the same with a black cape over them to not show their faces. It is a security camera from above filming them walking in the perfect line, looking the same so you won’t even know if it is women or men walking there. Slowly they are walking, and the security camera zooms in on just one of them there who stood out by turning her face to the side – hidden – before walking out from the line. On the way to leave, the camera captures a glimpse of the face and scans through in the security room before finding a picture of the person – Carolina.

A roar enters the hall by the badass Carolina in the picture.

The camera takes in on another security camera, this time having people sitting around a long table, eating the same food and making the exact same repeatedly movements, also hiding under capes. One of them starts to get up, getting the camera’s attention as it zooms in on this person, capturing the face of the bad one who actually gives a glare – Emelia

The third person is sitting in what looks to be a classroom, all students sitting firmly with their heads forward and hiding under the hood of the capes like everyone else have been doing. The camera finds one of them looking away, hands placed on the desk when standing up and with a glimpse of the face they capture the badass - Hannah

It is a roar for each member, and backstage Hannah is feeling good when hearing it being loud for her picture as well.

A group is walking down a staircase, all in one line and looking to be marching down the stairs. The camera is following them, when suddenly someone walks out from the line to go through a door on one floor, the others continuing to walk as if they know nothing. The camera replays the seconds to capture the face of the person – Julia

The one who has been watching the security cameras is shown now, giving a smirk close-up, and you all know who it is without seeing the whole face. The person pulls on the hood to her cape, hiding her face and she leaves. The security place behind her reveals the picture of the last badass – Maria

Smoke is starting to gather up on the stage, just a little bit at a time, while the video continues.

The camera zooms in on another security camera now when Maria has left, seeing that a line of people are standing next to each other with the hoods on. the camera zooms in closer, an unclear background that is gray and brown, maybe of old buildings and sand, but the camera zooms in on the people, one after one a little from the side the camera reveals the faces of 5 Pieces looking to the front with serious face-expressions. Hannah on their very left, who is showed first with a male voice announcing to the concert ‘HANNAH’, then it is ‘JULIA’ followed by ‘CAROLINA’ standing in the middle, then ‘EMELIA’ and finally the camera captures ‘MARIA’. The five of them are facing the front, staring at something, that only at the end is revealed when the camera zooms out to reveal 5 Pieces standing there, facing 5 Pieces; one group dressed in black while the other one dressed in black.

The spooky male voice finishes the opening video by saying; ‘WELCOME, TO 5 PIECES’ BLACK & WHITE TOUR’

An audience of 15.000 fans is screaming when the video comes to an end and most of them only now notice the smoke that is covering the main stage. and they notice if because the whole back of the stage shines up because of lamps and in the middle of the smoke, standing with a meter between each other, is 5 pieces standing with hands on their hips, facing the audience and you can just see the structure of their bodies because of the smoke and lights from behind, looking dark with the shining background and the audience is opening their eyes widely.

Hannah takes a final breath, thinking this is it.

*Toni~ght*

Carolina’s voice in a ballad highlight of the [Black & White] chorus begins without any music and the loudest roar of 15.000 people starts to break through a record in the surprise of how epic this opening stage is. Carolina is leaning her head back to the side to reveal her profile when singing a longer part;

*We are free~~*

It’s beautiful. The view of a purple ocean is what the five ladies see, an ocean of 15.000 fans holding their purple light-sticks in the air to fill up the dark audience. It is beautiful; it is the sight of heaven and the screaming from the audience to see 5 Pieces coolly stand there on the stage, surrounded by smoke, could easily overtake the music, but when Carolina has sung her great vocal intro of their song and concert, the music starts to play loudly enough for the audience’s loud cheer to fade to the background. Hannah keeps up with her ladies as they starts to perform [Black & White] from the beginning on the stage where the smoke is slowly falling to their feet, but the ladies know they look perfectly awesome performing together like this, how they sing live, dancing perfectly with the dancers around them and the smoke just completes the concert performance of their song.

5 Pieces performs [Black & White], more charismatic than ever with their dance moves, being in synch not just with each other as they move unconditionally to the music while singing but also with the dancers who are helping out to fill out on the stage for the song. They are all doing it together, Hannah loves her part with the dancers next to her, and how they seem to follow her movement. If she does one thing, they are doing the same thing behind her. The ladies sing perfectly even if they are dancing, they have practiced for this and the audience is wild. You can hear them cheer and chant to the song, sounding just as beautiful as 5 Pieces sounds cool.

Being the charismatic artists on stage, 5 Pieces pulls through the first song gallantly. They are all excited over the ocean before them and when the song comes to an end, they finish it off by turning their backs against the audience; standing in a row next to each other with no dancers on stage now. The audience screams louder now when they know they can be heard, but the next song begins with a whisper echoing in the arena, saying *DAZZLE…* and the five ladies makes a swift change in their positions to the beat of the word, and the audience starts to cheer an octave higher and wilder as they know the next song. It is a daze how the audience gets wild; and just by hearing them Hannah thinks no one expected this song to come so soon in the concert. Her body wants to move and her voice wants to be heard; she is excited for this, to spend the next 2-3 hours on stage performing for this audience.

*STUN…* is the same whisper and the girls make another change in their position; they look y with the simple swift movements at each word, how they show off their bodies in different positions for a screaming audience.

*DAZE* the girls have turned around, the spotlights on each member and the audience screaming their lungs out. There is a few quiet seconds of just the audience cheering and the girls standing there, letting in the strong sight of each other.

*5 Pieces*

A distant instrumental starts to play; Maria’s voice goes with a low yet light adlib that only she can do *ooooooh* that goes slightly higher for each second that passes, showing off her voice as the lead vocalist. Then Hannah takes over the adlib with a super light tone before Carolina comes with an original good *woooh* darker tone before the spotlights shimmers in the whole arena and the music for [Daze] starts with the girls again doing *dazzle… stun… daze* in a faster motion and they take a long step forward on the stage when beginning to dance after that.

[Maria] *When I WAKE UP in the morning, see myself in the mirror

I can only see the faults in my face, the difference from me to you*

A sudden stop in the music: the ladies at the same moment turn their backs towards the audience with their hands on their hips and the audience screams at the unprepared remix when a party remix plays and Carolina turns around, singing her part.

*People are living their lives in routines

I don’t judge, I just walk on my own*

She sings while walking by the girls that turns around one by one, dancing to the song and Carolina can’t help but to give a smile when seeing some fans at the very front screaming and moving their heads so their hair and flying around in the craziness. Hannah is ready for her turn, glancing down just once while her body is moving to the funky party remix before she brings the microphone to and she begins.

*The eyes looking at me, when I walk down the street, the judging eyes

I get scared to stand out, to show that I am not like you

[Carolina] I hide in the shadows – like most others – and I am about to burst*

5 Pieces are dancing amazingly to [Daze], their voices are cool and strong and they really show what the song is about.

[5 Pieces] *Living in a world filled with love and hate, judgement of strangers

How to stand it? How to survive this?*

[CHORUS, Maria] *I’M IN A DAZE (Da – da – da – da – da – da – da – daze)

I am beautiful, I am different; I am no one else but me (Da – da – da – da – da – da – da – daze)

This amazing person, like no one else, there is no one like me (Da – da – da – da – da – da – da – daze)

I’M IN A DAZE*

And you can hear the whole crowd sing out with them for most part of the chorus, and Maria is making her fabulous movements as she knows she is in the spotlight even if the other ladies are also doing the popular dance of throwing hair and legs moving crazily. Only once during the song, Maria makes a mistake by singing a Korean line as it is in the English version, and though no one else seem to notice (not even Maria), Emelia is the one giving a smirk behind her, maybe being the only one noticing the mistake.

Performing in high heels is no issue at the moment. The heels they are wearing aren’t the highest pair, but either way they are comfortable to wear even if you are dancing; the only problem that if you have performed two songs with difficult and hectic choreography where you have to constantly move, you sure should get a little tired or your feet will start to hurt. Anyone wearing high heels for some time will understand it. Hannah has no problem with it, and she knows her members doesn’t bother about it either as they are too worked up in the feeling, all the emotions to be performing in front of this wild audience.

[Daze] comes to an end and the stage goes dark, completely black, but the third song starts playing right away – [Unforgettable]. Maria and Emelia starts off saying ‘yeah’ in two completely different voices though they say it at the same time, and when the lights go on over the stage the ladies moves in formation to dance to the hip song, performing it from the main stage. The dance makes them make big movements, not as difficult as the fast ones for their previous two songs but it is a little tiring to throw around your arms and spread out legs as much as they do for this song. The audience can‘t notice it, only seeing the professional artists on the stage performing another great song.

[RAP, Carolina] *WE’RE READY

I kept hearing the voices, repeat the impossibilities in my head

Count them out for me, I will make my pick and choose what I want

Your voice sounds so insecure, but keep count them out for me

As if you expect me to break down and fail*

[RAP, Emelia] *I told me and my friends, we are going to do this

We will do the impossible; we will one day be unforgettable*

[RAP, Carolina] *The dream of five ladies get thrown at you like a BOMB

Running to an endless dream, we are coming, right, ready now*

[CHORUS, Maria] *I will never forget where I come from

I will never forget who I grew up to be

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE

[Maria] I will never forget where I come from

I will never forget who I grew up to be

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE*

[RAP, Emelia] *Since the beginning we were told we would fail and fall

We broke out in tears as we fought harder

Even if it was tougher and felt further away, we kept on

We fought and battled with ourselves*

As Emelia started to rap after the chorus, the five ladies start to make their way out on the middle arm out to the middle stage. The audience cheers as 5 Pieces get closer to them and Emelia’s low voice follows the beat to the song, her hand going up and down as if it helps her to keep the rhythm (rapper style) and the ladies are walking around her with long steps. When Julia starts to sing, Carolina and Hannah who have reached the middle stage starts to dance first and the other two follows them while Julia just walks through them to finish her part.

[Julia] *Remember the faces of my family I leave behind

All sweat and tears we go through together*

[RAP, Emelia] *No matter what anyone had to say, we fought our way

We became ONE and now we are ready to say

(MOVE)*

For Emelia’s part ‘we became ONE’ all five ladies put one hand up in the air, pointing one finger for ONE and Emelia then raises the mood by taking her voice deeper and louder from the toes, finishing off her part before Maria sings the chorus.

[CHORUS]...

[Julia] *Even if the deep sea tries to drown us,

Even if we faces harder fight after fight,

We will never loose, so just get up*

Julia’s voice is smooth when she sings her part, and she is really into the lyrics about 5 Pieces. Hannah thinks she likes to take the centre more than when she has experienced the activities as a solo artist – she is greedier for attention. Carolina sings next, bending her back a little to express her words better with her voice and during her part the other five are making a formation behind her as a V; Maria takes Carolina’s position for her part after.

[Carolina] *See if you can break me down

Even if the doubts are against us

[Maria] I will fall in love and break up, the feeling of life

We will get up*

Maria’s hand motions simply to express ‘get up’, and if anyone in the audience had been sitting down, they would probably stand up by that. Hannah only focuses on making a turn after Maria’s part as Emelia starts to spell their name in a low bass voice, the other five continuing to dance behind her.

[Emelia] *P – I – E – C – E – S

P – I – E – C – E – S

YOU KNOW, I’LL BE UNFORGETTABLE*

[Carolina] *Yeah~~*

A cheer comes out when Emelia screams the last part and Carolina begins her adlib and the others starts to sing the last choruses. Emelia raps in it in her dark voice, Maria and Hannah has the highest voices for the chorus and the girls are dancing freely on the middle stage. The best part for Hannah is that her microphone is so good that she doesn’t have to strain her voice to be heard over the others; it is easier and more comfortable to sing even if she has to be higher, and she loves how the audience around them is jumping throughout the ending.

[CHORUS, Maria] *I will never forget where I come from

I will never forget who I grew up to be ([Emelia] bring your hands up to the sky)

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top (THIS IS 5 PIECES, THE FIRST, NUMBER ONE)

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE

YOU KNOW I’LL BE UNFORGETTABLE ([Julia] HERE WE GO)

[Maria] I will never forget where I come from ([Carolina] So what [Hannah] SO what)

I will never forget who I grew up to be

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top ([Julia] We will be)

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE*

[CHORUS, Maria] *I will never forget where I come from

I will never forget who I grew up to be

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE

[Maria] I will never forget where I come from

I will never forget who I grew up to be

[Hannah] because we will somehow reach the top

TO BE UNFORGETTABLE*

The ladies make a last pose when Hannah finishes the song, and the stage goes black right away. The audience cheers, waving their purple light-sticks when expecting the next song to begin, but instead a video starts to play; 5 Pieces isn’t on the stage anymore.

A big crowd of fans starts to scream with light voices when a blurry view of someone appears on the big screen, and the blurry view on screen gets clearer for the audience to see Carolina stand there. It looks like she is doing a photo shoot, posing charismatically but simply in front of the camera. Background music is playing but it is shouting down by the audience reacting to a close-up on Maria also doing a photo shoot. Her hair is messy, her fingers going through it and it is three clips of her, one when she is just looking at the photographer next too the camera filming, one of her laughing and one of her all serious. Emelia appears next, also shown just the face like the captain was, posing coolly. Hannah gets a mix of shoots, one close-up and one half-size and then one focused on just her eyes. Julia looks completely different when she appears as her hair has been styled differently with gel slicking the hair down her sides, but she looks like a natural beauty even with the make-up on. A wilder audience reacts to her, impressed with her and the video continues to show a mix of the ladies during the photo shoot; like a photo shoot model video. 5 Pieces looks stunning, showing off long legs, curves, great hair and dangerous eyes and when they are doing a group shoot, they look the best. The whole arena is cheering during the video, and towards the end of it the music starts to play a Michael Jackson song, [Dangerous], just a part of it, as a teaser, and the video comes to an end.

Dancers are spread out over the black stages when the intro of Michael Jackson’s [Dangerous] starts to play. Spotlights are shimmering, making the audience try to see the faces of each dancer as they don’t know where 5 Pieces could be, and their attention is all over the place as they don’t know where 5 Pieces will appear. It is fascinating to see the dancers on the whole stage like that, leaving the audience with their mouths wide open as it looks awesome; their hearts are racing just seeing the dancers on stage like this, dancing and the lights shimmering around them. A male voice starts to sing/talk and a spotlight focuses on Carolina while disco lights continues to play around on the stages, and she dances along to the beat and the lyrics, surprisingly y now when she has taken off the boxing robe and is revealing the lace-focused outfit.

[Male voice] *The way she came into the place. I knew right then and there.

There was something different about this girl*

After the first part, the spotlight moves to Hannah instead (leaving Carolina in darkness), following her dance instead for the next part. Oh, she is y too, showing off her curves to the beat in the black outfit and welcoming all the cheer and whistling with a poker face.

*The way she moved; her hair, her face, her lines. Divinity in motion*

Then it is Maria, who is showing that every head turns to her by her presence;

*As she stalked the room I could feel the aura of her presence

Every heard turned feeling passion and lust*

All three of them dances with the dancers, spread out on the stages for the next part, y and in the same choreography;

*The girl was persuasive, the girl I could not trust

The girl was bad, the girl was dangerous*

It skips a part of the song to go straight to the chorus, them all still dancing, mixing their charisma with iness;

*She’s so dangerous. The girl is dangerous

Take away my money, throw away my time

You can call me honey, but you’re no damn good for me*

During the beat between the chorus and the next part it is a lot of shimmering, letting the three ladies disappear in their dancers movements on the stages but when the next part begins, the spotlight focuses on Emelia, who out of nowhere appeared on the dark shimmering stages and she dances to the music;

*She came at me in sections, with the eyes of desire

I fell trapped into her web of sin; a touch, a kiss, a whisper of love

I was at the point of no return*

Emelia got more focus on her face and charisma on the big screen, the audience stunned by how cool she looks and then the last piece appears for her spotlight, Julia dances ily;

*Deep in the darkness of passion’s insanity. I felt taken by lust’s strange inhumanity*

Two spotlights shines up both Julia and Emelia as they dances together, the big screen capturing Julia lip-synching the last part;

*The girl was persuasive, the girl I could not trust

The girl was bad, the girl was dangerous*

And then they were five; all five of the ladies are shown on the spotlights for the chorus again. the dancers are still surrounding the stages, shimmering lights are partying up the surrounding but just for 5 Pieces it is a clear view of them dancing:

*She’s so dangerous, the girl is so dangerous

Take away my money, throw away my time

You can call me honey, but you’re no damn good for me

Dangerous, the girls are so dangerous*

The song changes, and suddenly it is Michael Jackson’s [Beat It]. This song 5 Pieces sings themselves, though it isn’t sung live. The intro is cut off so the singing begins right away, surprising the audience over the sudden change and impressing when hearing Carolina’s threatening voice as everyone up on the stage have suddenly become badass. She takes the attention while everyone is making their way to their positions, not interrupting the scene-presence or the fun badass acting they have.

*They told him don’t you ever come around here. Don’t wanna see your face, you better disappear

The fire’s in their eyes and their words are really clear. So beat it, just beat it*

[Emelia] *You better run, you better do what you can. Don’t wanna see no blood, don’t be a macho man

You wanna be tough, better do what you can

So beat it, but you wanna be bad!*

Emelia is awesome, and it isn’t that she is a great singer because she is a better rapper than singer, but because her pale face and expression really fits the song. She is threatening with her body language and expressions, having the others behind her on the middle stage now dance to Michael Jackson. It is probably the first time their fans see 5 Pieces dance to Michael Jackson, and it is really fun because it is a song that fits their image and the audience is just stunned by how the group lives up to their nickname of being a cover group (a group that do cover songs). 5 Pieces are having a blast during the chorus, having fun with the dance even if their faces are completely focused and serious.

[5 Pieces] *Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it.

No one wants to be defeated, showin’ how funky and strong is your fight. It doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right

Just beat it, beat it – Just beat it, beat it

Just beat it, beat it – Just beat it, beat it*

The music that is supposed to be in the beginning is put after the chorus, and the audience starts to wildly scream when Emelia and Carolina are the two at the front who do the battle-challenge motion with arms crossed and jumping past each other while glaring at the other. When they have done that, 5 Pieces are going up against the dancers, threatening each other and though they personally find it hilarious to push a dancer away, their faces only show the acting of fierceness.

[Julia] *They’re out to get you, better leave while you can. Don’t wanna be a boy, you wanna be a man

You wanna stay alive, better do what you can. So beat it, just beat it*

[Hannah] *You have to show them that you’re really not scared. You’re playin’ with your life, this ain’t no truth or dare

They’ll kick you, then they beat you. Then they’ll tell you it’s fair.

So beat it, but you wanna be bad!*

Hannah loves her part, because even if they throughout the whole song are dancing the famous dance and they are pretending to fight with the dancers, she loves how she is in the spotlight, throwing a few punches while singing that they will kick you and beat you. She likes the fierceness in it all, how they are so cool when lip-synching and dancing as if there is no tomorrow and it reminds her to why she loved learning boxing a few years ago when practicing for a drama role.

[Maria] *Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it

No one wants to be defeated. Showin’ how funky and strong is your fight. It doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right*
