Chapter 66

Youngest of Pieces: [WHO- I AM] (8)

Once they come to Inkigayo’s part of the building, Hannah rushes off on her own, in search for her best friend to tell the great news. She dashes by some waiting rooms, looking for Julia’s room.

“Hannah Senior!”

Hannah stumbles on her feet when stopping, turning around to see who called her name and she waves happily when seeing EXO’s Baekhyun looking out a room she just ran by. Manager Lim is walking further away, comfortable in his own pace. Hannah hurries up to the room, looking inside. “How is it going? Have you all cried?”

“Did you cry?” Sehun jokes with her. The room is filled with EXO members, all waiting. She asks them because EXO has won two times in a row, and this is her first time meeting them after that.

“I did not cry,” Hannah answers. She just can’t stop smiling, and it is not just because the EXO members inside are greeting her as juniors should greet, “Do you know where Julia is?”

“She should be recording,” Kai answers, making his way over to the door along with Suho. “We are going there now.”

“Oh, then let’s go together,” Hannah brightly says and turns away to start walking, but then stops, turning around so she almost bumps in to Kai who is heading out the room. She apologizes and leans inside the room to wish those good luck today, smiling brightly at the boys before going out. Baekhyun hurries to walk with them too, walking fast when trying to keep up with Hannah.

“Are you in a hurry?” Suho asks her, all of them noticing that she is walking fast.

“No…” Hannah shrugs her shoulders. She is so happy that she wants to start running again, but to not seem too weird she smiles at the boys. “How are you all feeling then? We missed watching the live yesterday, but you got my text right?”

Kai smiles energetic, looking down at his feet with a smile.

“Julia gave us a suggestion to plan what to say beforehand,” Suho answers her, “but yesterday when we won, it just went blank.”

Hannah smiles widely and nods, saying she knows the feeling. It’s good to hear them talk, mostly Suho talks but at least it isn’t awkward between them. Or she just can’t feel it because she is too excited on her own about the drama she will film. She will even go meet the fight choreographer tomorrow to set the combat training schedule. She laughs when Baekhyun said Kai kept crying on stage, more than Suho, on which Kai says Suho cried more than him but that Lay cried the most out of everyone.

They peek out on the side when reaching the stage. Fans are there, supporting Julia and Yuri who are pre-recording their performance, and Hannah is trying to sneak in among the staff to see the stage better. Because they are recording, the fans are chanting and the crew is quiet. Hannah lowers her head to greet some in the staff who notices her, and the EXO members who are there with her bow their deepest.

“Julia said you would come this evening,” a female staff whispers to Hannah, greeting her with a friendly smile.

“I finished the meeting early,” Hannah whispers back. “How is it going?”

The woman gives the thumbs up and Hannah focuses on the stage, curious of how it’s going. The two girls on the stage are wearing dresses today; a sleeveless floral dress, very short, and Julia is wearing a coral coloured cardigan while Yuri is wearing a yellow one. They look y, surprisingly. Like teenage girls going to the beach, ready to steak in the sun all summer. It fits the song [I’m Sleepy] very well, as it is an upbeat pop song for the summer. Hannah starts smiling when Kai can’t be still; he is like Taemin, always dancing whenever there is music.

When the song comes to an end and those on stage are waiting to do it again, Hannah gives a jump and waves her hand in the air to try be seen. Yuri waves brightly back at her and the fans surrounding the large stage looks over to see who she is waving too. A bunch starts to scream when seeing who are watching in the back. Julia waves too, lowering her head a little at first as she gets embarrassed to see Hannah there.

“Our group’s Bunny is here,” Julia teases in the microphone and Hannah is showing her thumb up in the air, so happy for many reasons. The fans are cheering anew, most of them not knowing where to look: SNSD’s Yuri, 5 Pieces’ Julia and Hannah and also EXO’s Suho, Baekhyun and Kai are all there.

They are recording the song one more time before they are done, and Hannah waves to the fans before disappearing backstage, getting help by EXO to find Julia’s dressing-room and she waits there until Julia and Yuri comes.

“y lady!” Yuri cheers and embraces Hannah for a hug.

You are a y lady,” Hannah laughs, not thinking someone as y as Yuri should tell Hannah that. Hannah takes Julia’s arm happily. “I got something to tell you.” She looks at the two friends with big eyes. “I have been casted in a new drama.”

“You have?!” Yuri starts to cheer right away, jumping and clapping her hands happily.

“Congrats friend!” Julia cheers too and Hannah laughs, can’t help her self but to jump too. “Here at SBS?”

“An SBS drama – I will play a spy. It won’t start filming until August, but it is training – I will learn to use a gun! – and I am so excited!” Hannah can’t stop laughing and she keeps jumping when the other two doesn’t stop. There is a lot of jumping for them at the music programs lately…

She won’t tell them anything about that Carolina is asked to write an OST song for the drama; since Carolina doesn’t even know about it yet. Hannah can’t wait to tell her, to know what Carolina thinks about it.

But sadly, Hannah can’t stay for long.

“Why not? I thought you were going to be here later,” Julia sounds disappointed.

“I am. Or, I hope I am. I have to … go to the gym, and then I am going to our new apartment,” Hannah answers, hesitating on some parts as she has to remember where she is going. “And we’ll see if I can come here before I have to go to the photo shoot.”

“Busy,” Yuri tells Julia and then laughs, giving Hannah a hug.

On the way out, Hannah stops outside EXO’s room, where Chanyeol is talking to some members of another boy-group (Hannah doesn’t know who).

“Are you leaving already, senior?” Chanyeol looks surprised to see her leave already. Those unknown boy-group members bow politely to Hannah and she gives them a nod too.

“Yeah… got some things to do,” Hannah answers and peeks inside the room. “Good luck later!”

“Aren’t you staying?” Suho sounds surprised.

“I’ll try to come back later,” Hannah answers, feeling apologetic when everyone shows such interest, “but either way, I will watch your performance.”

“Nuna, any advice for me?” Tao pops up in front of her.

She looks at him with small eyes, feeling to be in a great mood. It would be great if she told him something in Chinese, but Hannah can’t speak Chinese so she will have to tell him something simple in Korean. “Um… eye contact with the camera, remember,” she says as easy as she can and Tao nods with a smile. She says goodbye to the boys before leaning back, seeing that Chanyeol and the boy-group members outside aren’t focusing on their own conversation, distracted by her. Hannah smiles at Chanyeol. “When my ladies comes later, don’t listen too much at them, alright?”

Emelia has said she will come to Inkigayo, and Maria will try to come – she is in the recording studio for a song – and Hannah knows that her members love to be in charge (especially those two) and EXO is a good target for them.

“I’ll be careful,” Chanyeol smiles, feeling really happy to show off that 5 Pieces is friendly with them in front of the boy-group members he is talking to. Hannah gives a smile at them too, giving a final nod before she has to hurry away.

Hannah looks at the apartment building. It looks expensive.

“Floor three and four there on the left side – all yours,” Manager Lim says, pointing up at the balcony shown at the corner of the building he and Hannah are standing in front of. She has been at the gym and she is now going to make a debut at the apartment’s shower. It is the first time seeing it.

“Two floors…” Hannah is amazed.

It looks really nice from down here. It’s almost that she doesn’t want to walk inside; afraid it would ruin what she imagines of 5 Pieces new home. But she follows her manager to the front door of the building, listening to him explaining why this building, when it was built and so on: The history of 5 Pieces’ new apartment. It isn’t really much to tell. He opens the door with a key-card and they step inside, walking over to the elevator and when Hannah has stepped inside it she can see the stairs on the other side from the elevator, next to a door that Manager Lim tells her is where they can have bicycles.

“We don’t have bicycles,” Hannah comments.

“I know. But Emelia wants to get one,” he shrugs his shoulders.

“Would you let us ride it?” Hannah sounds doubtful. She can barely even take walks anymore without having guards around her, imagine the girls riding around on bikes in the neighbourhood. Emelia would love to do that though.

Manager Lim just smiles at her as the doors glide open from the elevator. There are two apartment doors on each side when they step out, and in front of them is the stairs going up and down. The whole interiors of the building is fresh and seem expensive for Hannah, it looks really nice actually. The door on the left is where Manager Lim walks up, pressing in a code to unlock it.

“All the codes and things you need to know is written in a file in the hall,” Manager Lim tells Hannah when opening the door, letting her inside. Right inside he shows her a bunch of papers hanging together on the wall, saying she can look it through when she wants.

Hannah isn’t much interested in reading at the moment. The hall has a long wardrobe on the left side, extremely long, and when opening it she can see they can hang jackets in one side and put shoes on shoe-racks that are covering the whole other side of the wardrobe. Maria will love this. It is a smaller shoe-rack on the side of it, closer to the door, where Hannah put her shoes before she walks out to the right, inside the apartment. There are two rooms in front of her now, one is the guest bathroom according to her manager and the other one is the laundry room. Next to the laundry room is a stair going up to the other floor, and Hannah’s first thought is if their puppies will like the stairs but Manager Lim tells her that it is an apartment adjusted for animals – it is important.

The space is huge. It is like a big room of nothing in the middle where she is standing now with the hall behind her, stairs on her right and in front of her two more rooms and on her left, it is a huge room with big windows that she sees goes out to the balcony.

“Wow…”

“I said the same thing,” Carolina comes running down the stairs, laughing and grabbing Hannah’s hand to pull her inside what is the living-room. One long sofa for five is along the wall on the right, and Hannah drops her jaw when seeing the flat-screen TV on the wall next too. A two-seat sofa, matching the big one, is in the middle of the room, facing the TV and along the walls a little here and there it is new bookshelves, high ones. Hannah is just standing there, looking around in the huge living-room. Boxes filled with 5 Pieces’ stuff are in the room, but it has all the furniture it needs and Carolina takes Hannah to the kitchen next too where it seem to have everything it needs as well, beside from the unpacked boxes on the kitchen table and on the kitchen worktop.

“As you ladies always want; nothing has been packed up,” Manager Lim says, eyeing Hannah’s reaction before looking at Carolina. “They left you here alone?”

“Oppa is with Maria at SM, he said I’ll go with you two,” Carolina answers with a smile. “You have to see upstairs, magnae, it is absolutely amazing. And we get our own offices too! I have my piano there already. But upstairs is great, Hannah, come see.”

And the next second, Hannah is being dragged up the stairs. She laughs at Carolina’s eagerness.

The second floor has a bent corridor going from the stairs over to the balcony to the other side, and the corridor is filled with rooms.

“Nine rooms in total, you have no idea,” Carolina is selling the place for Hannah. “This is the large, enormous bathroom: But there is another bathroom too, a tiny one that two ladies will share. Who – I have no idea. We can probably decide that tonight. It will be so much fun! This is the largest bedroom too.”

“Five bedrooms,” Manager Lim says when coming up behind them. “And Carolina, you all have decided bedrooms already. Beds and furniture are already on place.”

“Oh… really?” Carolina looked like she had no idea and Hannah just smiles, peeking inside the first large bedroom next to the bathroom.

The ladies had played a game in Japan, each one getting a number and knowing about the good and bad about each room. Julia got the largest bedroom, Maria has gotten the room next too and then Carolina has gotten the third room on their right side. On the left side, the two rooms that will share the same small bathroom are for Emelia and Hannah. Hannah’s room is in the middle of the floor.

Next to Carolina’s room, on the other side of the balcony door is what they say the wardrobe. A whole room for 5 Pieces clothes and it is a room where their stylists will fix everything, apparently.

Hannah goes inside her new room, smiling widely. Her bed is in here, all white with no sheets and with pale pillows. New pillows, Hannah notices when lying down. She grimaces when remembering she has to shower, and she sits up to look around the room. Her own bookshelf, a while fancy one, is standing along the wall on the other side of the room, and in the corner it is her wardrobe, a big picture is leaning against the wall on the floor next to the door that probably leads to the bathroom; the picture and the frame is a gift from a fan, a very beautiful picture of Hannah with a small little message on the side. Boxes with her things are lined up next to the bed too.

The blonde girl gets up from the bed and hurries over to the bathroom’s door, looking inside. It isn’t that small, maybe the same size as the guest bathroom downstairs and it has a small shower in glass that Hannah looks an extra time at just because she will have to use it. A toilet, washbasin, and the shower are all the bathroom has, but it is big. The washbasin is big with a large mirror and cabinet, ready to be filled out with things belonging to Hannah and Emelia. Hannah wonders how they will share the space.

“Appa, do we have any towels?” Hannah asks when heading out her bedroom, looking in the corridor. “Appa!”

“Yes?” manager Lim comes out from Carolina’s bedroom.

“Do we have any towels?” Hannah wonders, “I have to shower.”

“It should be in the other bathroom then,” he answers and walks with her to the other bathroom next too. Hannah gets a surprise when getting in the bathroom. They also have a stylish shower in glass in the corner, but there is a long board with two washbasins following the wall, a long mirror following it too, but that is definitely not what gives her a surprise.

“A Jacuzzi?!” Hannah bursts out and rushes over to the triangle bathtub, unable to close . “Their bathroom gets a Jacuzzi?!”

“It’s your bathroom too. And yes, I know very well that once Maria tries it, she will never get away from it,” Manager Lim sighs, “but I was not the one deciding to keep it either.”

“CAROLINA! A JACUZZI!” Hannah cheers, laughing and she can hear Carolina come running.

“ISN’T IT GREAT?!” Carolina cheers too.

Hannah can’t stop smiling when hugging the soft pillow against her cheek. She has showered and gotten dressed in the same clothes she wore earlier today, just because she doesn’t want to take out a bunch of clothes to find something suitable for the day, plus that she will do a photo shoot for most of the evening, so she doesn’t care much of what she wears now. Now she is sitting on the bed in her bedroom, knowing she has to make the bed before leaving as she won’t have the strength to do it when she comes home after today’s schedule, but she can’t stop smiling either way. Once she has packed up all her things, this room will look perfect for her. The whole apartment will be perfect.

A tiny part of her tells her to not be too happy. Once she feels like everything in her life is perfect, something always happens.

With a satisfied sigh over her day, Hannah puts the towel away and lies down in her bed, pulling her calendar book to her and she lies there on her stomach to write down the things she has done today, she also writes down about yesterday and adds on her schedule that she will meet the trainer for the drama tomorrow. She has no time for when to be there but she has the name from the papers she got today and her manager keeps all the information, so what Hannah usually just writes down is what she has to do and what she does on the days just to keep track on what she does. It is important for her to bring this wherever she goes. Once when they were at the airport, going from Korea to Japan, her manager asked them all if they had their passports but he made sure to ask Hannah if she had her calendar with her.

“HANNAH!” Manager Lim shouts from the stairs below.

“WHAT?!” She shouts back as loud as she can from the bed.

Manager Lim has been talking, going through schedules and helping Carolina to begin unpacking in the kitchen while Hannah has showered. They are also writing down things that the ladies will need to buy for tonight; mostly food.

“We have to go soon!”

“COMING!”

Hannah gets up, throwing her calendar in her bag along with a pen and she checks to know she has everything before she grabs her cell phone and leaves her new bedroom. It will probably be fun unpacking and get comfortable here with the ladies. And she suddenly remembers something great and big that she hasn’t told her friend yet.

“Carolina!” Hannah is shouting when running down the stairs. “Carolina, Carolina, Carolina! I’ve gotten casted in a new drama!”

Hannah takes the last step and sees Carolina standing in the living-room, looking at her with a small question-mark. “Another drama? What for?”

“What for?” Hannah repeats, not understanding it. “They asked me and I said yes. I’ll start filming in August, and I will have to train for it because… it’s an agent drama – I’ll play a spy.”

“Great…”

Manager Lim walks by them, saying they have to leave if they don’t want to miss the whole show and Hannah is just looking a little disappointed. Why isn’t Carolina happy for her? Hannah expected her to be super happy as she always gets.

“And they are wondering if you want to write a song for the drama,” Hannah quietly adds, looking at Carolina with a guilty face-expression.

“They want me to write a song for them?” Carolina makes a face, suspicious.

Hannah nods, “Because you are so good.”

She knows exactly what to say, because after those words, Carolina is starting to smile. “They think I am good? They said that? Am I really getting this?” And it doesn’t take many seconds before Carolina is screaming her lungs out, cheering because she finally has gotten something to do. She hugs Hannah over and over again, shouting in her ear and running around.

Hannah is smiling when she comes to the hall where their manager is waiting for them.

“I told you she would take it well,” Manager Lim smiles at her.

The youngest smiles back, but by her manager’s words she thinks back at Carolina’s reaction to when Hannah said she is going to act in a new drama. She only got happy when knowing she will get to write a song for the drama; why wasn’t she happy for Hannah?

“Carolina, let’s go!” Manager Lim calls out.

In the car, Carolina is super excited. Manager Lim gets to tell her what Hannah knows and they are cheering during the ride, also dropping by to get some food to eat dinner at the music station.

The two girls are rushing through the corridor backstage at Inkigayo with white plastic bags in their hands, both laughing and racing to get to Julia’s room so they can tell the good news – Maria and Emelia are already there, so the ladies want to tell them about the great news of Hannah’s new drama and Carolina writing the song – and Carolina keeps stopping all the time to greet juniors and others so Hannah jogs instead of running all until Carolina comes storming after her.

“Senior!”

Carolina runs in Hannah’s back when the blonde girl makes a sudden stop, and Hannah stumbles forward before pushing Carolina away, trying to see who called. Seeing EXO’s Xiumin and D.O stand by a wall (she just ran by them but she has no memory of seeing them) and look at them as if they have never seen anyone run through a corridor before reminds her of earlier this morning when she did probably the same thing and Baekhyun called her.

“Oh, wolves,” Carolina shines up and walks up to them right away, randomly singing EXO’s [Wolf] in a bad imitation of someone who Hannah has no idea of who it is. “You haven’t performed yet, have you?”

“No… Why are you always running?” Xiumin wonders, glancing at Hannah who slowly walks up to them. Hannah hesitates at first, not sure if she should finish the race and see the ladies first before chatting with their juniors, but Carolina seem to be staying.

“If you run, you get to your location faster,” Carolina answers and Hannah lowers her head when feeling the boys look at her the same strange way her own members have a habit of doing.

“I’ll see you later,” Hannah quietly says before walking away, not wanting to stand there and be embarrassed for Carolina.

So Hannah walks on her own to the dressing-room, going inside and greeting everyone with a half heart because like always, the food is what everyone thinks about.

“Carolina is coming with the rest,” Hannah explains when taking out the food.

Maria is hanging over to see what they have bought, sighing when seeing her food isn’t there. “Why isn’t she coming?”

“She met EXO on the way,” Hannah answers, turning around when Manager Lim enters the room, bringing Carolina with him. Julia gives him a hug while Maria attacks the bags.

“Congratulations, Hannah,” Emelia says when opening her box of food, and Hannah looks like a question-mark. “What kind of drama is it?”

Hannah gasps for air. “Who told you?!”

Emelia points at Julia, giving a stare at Mi Young who has her eyes on Emelia’s food because she has no chance to look through the bags Maria is going through, while Hannah waves her arms at Julia, surprised.

“I wanted to tell them!” Hannah whines, ignoring those that keep talking about the food next to her.

“I only said it’s a drama,” Julia shrugs her shoulders, looking through the bags of food where Manager Lim helps to take out the food to them all.

“And I ask what drama it is?” Emelia asks again, eating. Hannah happily sits down next to her and starts to talk about the drama, getting her food too and they are all sitting there, talking about the drama and Carolina’s song-writing while watching the TV-screen to see the show. Julia is funny, because she eats and eats and eats and then runs to the stage for her turn on the stage – her performance is pre-recorded but she will still go up on the stage for half of the performance just for the audience – and she then comes back to finish eating.

Maria eats up Hannah’s food; restaurants always give you so much in a menu so Hannah doesn’t eat all of it while the skinny Maria eats her own food and others. The ladies talk about the performances on the TV, not as loud as they never know who is walking by outside. By the end of the program they are all done eating and are just chatting with each other as the idols are lining up on the stage. When EXO walked by the ladies earlier the girls all gave them a word of support, just because 5 Pieces need to show their favourite juniors that they are the favourites.

“It’s still fun how they expect to get a comment after each performance,” Maria is giggling while they are talking about EXO backstage. “I mean, it’s been a year since they debuted and their stages now are really good – I’m getting lost of advices and comments. Can’t they just be satisfied with that they are doing great?”

Whenever 5 Pieces meet EXO, the juniors want advice and comments of how to do better for their next performance, and Hannah agrees with her members that it isn’t much to give advice about. What advice do you give a group that is winning on the music programs?

“Tell them they are doing great then,” Manager Lee comments, ignoring the glare he gets from Maria.

“Duh, what do you think I have been doing lately?” she hisses at him before turning to Hannah sitting next to her. “And D.O’s clothes feel wrong today.”

Carolina suddenly giggles at the comment, nodding excitedly and not noticing the weird looks she gets from the others. Carolina is quietly sitting and biting on a necklace with her eyes on the TV screen, only saying something when the winner is going to be announced to let everyone know.

“I like Tao’s clothes, though, very handsome,” Maria whispers to no one in particular as everyone is watching the music program. “And why is Julia standing next to Ziumin? She told me-”

“Xiumin,” Emelia corrects her.

“I know,” Maria waves her off, not caring that she said the name wrong, “but she told me that she was going to stand next to Suho so she can sneakily tell him to thank 5 Pieces when they win.”

“We don’t know if they will win,” Hannah reminds her.

“Well, duh, I know that,” Maria rolls her eyes and ignores it when their manager comments on that she has started to say ‘duh’ very often lately. “I’m rooting for my favourites, alright? Keep your fingers crossed for EXO now.”

Hannah crosses her fingers so their leader can see it, but the counting on the TV has already started. No, it’s already done.

“That went fast!”

“EXO WON!” Maria laughs out loudly and claps her hands. Rather than shouting and cheering, they are laughing and cheering. Because of the chaos in the room, only Emelia hears it when Suho thanks 5 Pieces and Julia hasn’t even told him anything.

Within seconds, Hannah is a tail to her own group-members when heading to the stage to be one of the first backstage to congratulate EXO on their third win.

“Hey, hey, hey, we can’t go up,” Hannah is pulling Maria’s arm when they are getting closer to the stage.

“We can stand next to it,” Maria answers and pulls Hannah with her so they are standing around the corner – hidden from fans but next to the stage – where all the artists are getting off beside from today’s winner – and the girls are cheering while EXO’s encore are starting. Julia comes off the stage as one of the last as she had congratulated EXO on her own and she stops with her members to be part of the SM fan-club they have created there in the corner.

EXO’s Lay laughs on the stage when seeing the ladies stand there, and once the cameras for the show has turned off he waves for them to please come up too. Hannah grabs Maria’s arm right away, panicking, but the leader just holds her hand and brings her up with them. While most of the ladies take the front right away to copy EXO’s dance and Baekhyun even gives Maria his microphone for her to sing, Hannah only bows and congratulates the boys closest to her before she runs back down. She has no make-up at all, and she isn’t really pretty to be on the stage with the others. But she has nothing against hugging the boys when they come off the stage, congratulating them happily.

She takes her fingers through her long blonde hair, messing it up a little with one hand slowly and looking down on the side.

“Now look at me…” the photographer’s voice is heard and she looks up with just her eyes at the female photographer, seeing her face behind the flash from the camera when smiling.

Her skin looks flawless in the make-up, her blue-green eyes are focused with deep eyeliner above the eyes and her lips are pink from lipstick. The fit, curvy body is hiding her shape in a white printed-back long blouse and she is wearing a pair of floral shorts, revealing her silky legs when she is sitting on top of a bed’s headboard, resting one foot on the headboard while the other foot is hugging against it to not have her stand on the bed. She hugs her leg one time with the foot on the headboard, lowering her head a little, both legs coming out elegantly on the pictures, especially with her feet  pointing nicely and nails all manicured in a very soft colour.

She moves her hand to reveal the bracelets she is wearing, lifting her hand up more to rest her elbow on her knee, lifting her head up to touch her hair again, posing anew.

“Perfect,” the photographer comments and then tells her to not move an inch as the photographer removes the system camera from the tripod to step up closer to the model. It flashes from the camera when the photographer takes another picture, a close-up on the model’s face.

She opens her eyes again, and she turns to look at the photographer with glimmering eyes, her hand falling down and her hair falls down on place again. The photographer doesn’t want that and calls for a stylist to make it look more ruffled, but she keeps taking pictures when the model closes her eyes as the stylist is ruffling her hair and making it look a little messy for the shoot.

“Oh, please smile again,” the photographer is fast to start flashing the camera when Hannah gives a shy smile when they continue.

Hannah is happy she took a shower before; that she cared of her feet too. She didn’t know she wasn’t going to wear shoes, or socks, but she is used to get prepared for photo shoots and it is like a routine you do before it. The photo shoot is inspired by Hannah’s life, according to the staff, but what the inspiration in fact is is what Hannah does; music and her up-coming book.

The first location had been a distant café, where Hannah had sat down by a round table outside for the photo shoot, posing drinking from a cup and read ELLE magazine. She had been sitting there with headphones around her neck; she is modelling for ELLE and listening to music, it is just what she is doing today at the photo shoot. The clothes she is wearing now are mostly inspired from [I CRY], where she also wore a blouse, but she isn’t really sure why they choose to have it by a bed.

Today’s photographer has worked with 5 Pieces before, and she is always talking a lot during the shooting. She has her own ideas, and she gets stuck to do a close-up on Hannah, having her look at the camera with deep eyes and then fall down on her knees on the bed, facing the headboard and look over her shoulder at the camera.

“That’s terrific,” the photographer breathes before she directs Hannah to move her hair to just one side, saying she loves it when seeing how the hair falls down in her face on just one side when Hannah does as she is told.

Hannah likes to work with her, because you are always told what to do.

They go a little further when Hannah is sitting with one leg on the bed and the other foot on the floor, looking down to the blouse. She is wearing a black tank top underneath; not that much of it will be seen. It isn’t any way too much, as it is shown in the pictures that she is wearing clothes underneath, but the photographer likes the idea of picturing Hannah changing clothes. She just s a few before the photographer is done and Hannah is going to change clothes.

“It’s pretty,” Hannah tells the magazine’s staff when she comes out behind the drapery wearing a red floral-print a-line dress with cord. She makes a turn for the thin cloth to spin and she giggles when the staff smiles at her innocent move. Hannah doesn’t usually wear these clothes, and it’s not like she can say ‘no’ during a photo shoot just because she is insecure, so she does the best out of it.

“It looks pretty on you,” the stylist charms her when giving her a pair of black high-heel sandals that they help her to put on while making sure her hair is good and the dress sits correctly.

About the accessories, they let Hannah choose what she wants to wear, getting examples and advice from the stylist of what will look good but it is Hannah who decides it all.

Hannah heads back out on the set, where she talks to the photographer about how to look and pose for the next part. In the dress, Hannah will look in the mirror by the bed, check out her outfit, and she will also have papers and a laptop on the bed to pretend to be working. For the concept it is taking time to work before going out, or something like that. The best part about the scene is that the laptop is Hannah’s real one. It is an exclusive photo shoot for a reason.

The girl lies down on her stomach side way over the bed with the laptop, smiling. Random papers are on the bed too, and she looks through them, aware of the camera but pretending to be in to work.

“Perfect,” the photographer tells her when Hannah focuses and looses her smile, because who actually works like that with a smile?

They take pictures of Hannah standing up too next to the bed, of her even sitting prettily on the floor.

The next outfit is a pair of buttoned-front embroidered denim shorts and a black floral top tugged in, and to it Hannah has her hair up in a messy pony-tail, a pair of fake glasses and white sneakers. She is shooting by the wall, posing while leaning her back against it; pointing out a foot in the air or lifting her chin up with a finger on her glasses, then puts a hand on her hip and spread her legs just a little to show off her s-line. She even holds up her arms along the wall behind her, making a cute face-expression.

They have been doing the photo shoot for about four-five hours already, which means it is around midnight. Her mood is still good though; maybe because Hannah doesn’t keep track of the time and just continues to be the focus on the photo shoot. The pictures turn out really pretty.

When everyone else is taking a break to get some late snacks and coffee, Hannah sits down on the set in the clothes to do an interview for the magazine – part of the interview will air on ELLE Girl homepage while all of it will be in the magazine. Hannah shakes hand with the woman who will interview her before the blonde girl takes a seat. She gets a small blanket to cover her legs and a little microphone box to told in her hands that she rests in her lap.

“Should we start with an introduction?” the interviewer asks Hannah in a very overly kind female voice, making Hannah smile. She isn’t wearing the glasses now as she did during the shoot.

“It’s nice to be working with ELLE for the July issue, I’m Hannah,” she starts off professionally in a sweet voice, “and on July 1st, my book ‘Joe’ part two ‘– Déjà Vu’ is being published, so please look out for it.”

-“For this year’s fashion, what is Hannah’s favourite item to wear in the summer?”

“Sunglasses,” she answers without hesitation. “I always have a pair of sunglasses with me wherever I go.”

“What is the 2013 summer wear you would recommend to your fans and our readers?”

Hannah is about to wet her lips when remembering she is wearing lipstick, so she tries to remember what she wants to answer on the question without wetting her lips. “It would probably be shorts,” Hannah answers, “you can wear a tank top or a shirt and still make it look good with a pair of shorts.” Shorts has this year entered Hannah’s wardrobe because of her stylist, and she is wearing it now for the photo shoot too, and she thinks it looks good; it is a good answer as well. Hannah nods when the woman looks down to ask the next question. It is always so weird to do an interview without her members, especially with cameras filming her and she is supposed to calmly answer the questions. Hannah makes sure to stay as natural as possible, but she is aware of every single move she does.

“What is your summer dream location for 2013?”

“My dream location for the summer… is the beach, or at the sea. Now when summer has started, I really get the feeling that I want to go to the sea.”

Whenever the weather is getting hot, Hannah wants to go to the beach. Maybe not swim around in a pool or in the sea, but the weather is always cooler by water so she wants to go. She always gets that feeling at summer. The next question is what her real summer location will be for 2013; where will she be this summer? Hannah gives a really cute smile (according to the staff) by that question, thinking back of the concert meetings.

“I would want to say the beach – I recommend everyone to go to the beach – but for me, personally, I will spend a part of the summer practicing for 5 Pieces’ upcoming tour… and I will also be promoting my book.”

“Hannah’s birthday is in July; any plans on how you will celebrate it?”

“I will actually be in Shanghai on my birthday, for our concert, so I expect to have a lot of fun with our fans and members there.”

“Your ultimate birthday celebration for 2013 is…?”

At first she doesn’t really know what to answer on it, but Hannah has read the questions beforehand so it just takes a little for her to remember it. “If I didn’t have a schedule, I would just sit at home the whole day; spend some time with friends and with our pets, and in the evening maybe go out and dance.”

“Who would you invite to go out and dance with?” the interviewer wonders as a follow-up question, not even looking at her papers to ask it.

Hannah looks confused and gives a laugh. “I haven’t thought of that…” she admits, still smiling and quickly thinking about it. “But I would want to go out with my members and our friends in SNSD; we always have fun when we are together but we are all busy so we don’t get the chance.”

“No one else?”

“Actually, if I were to dream away, it would be fun to go with SHINee’s Taemin. It would be fun to take him out on the dance-floor,” Hannah answers, just to say something. No but honestly, it would be fun to take naïve Taemin out, take a drink and dance. They are good friends but she has never done that before. In fact, she has only gone with her members and SNSD before, at a real club that is.

“If people talk about Hannah, of course people would talk about your glamorous body. Is there a secret to get this body of yours?”

Always when hearing that question (or when she now has been reading it for the interview) Hannah always gets a small change in her face. This time she forgets about the lipstick and bites a little on the inside of her lip, an extremely bad habit that she had when she was younger and that apparently has returned to her, and she does it also because she takes notice of how the woman never mentions ‘5 Pieces’ but always says ‘Hannah’ – she knows she is there as a solo artists, but 5 Pieces is always going to be there. But she has practiced the answer for this one.

“For me I eat and go to the gym, the secret of eating is to eat often but not a lot,” she starts to answer. She maybe doesn’t eat as much as she should but she is trying to stick to the schedule. “With the usual schedule for 5 Pieces, we are always on the move so it is difficult to keep myself going to the gym when I am supposed to, so I do exercises at home and I find the stairs very useful to run up and down in too.”

“How often do you try to work out then?” the woman asks, witch the most interest so far in the interview.

“Um… I used to go to the gym about 3-4 times a week before, the past year I don’t really go to the gym as often as I want to but recently I have been going one or two times a week, but I always exercise in the morning and before going to bed – different exercises that are good for you.”

“A lot of our readers have sent in the question; how do you care for your skin? Is there a secret behind your pretty skin that our readers could get use of?”

“Each person has a different type of skin, so I say the same thing about many things but you just have to try a lot of things until you find that better thing that works for you. For me, I drink a lot of water and I make sure to clean my face before going to bed and when waking up,” Hannah honestly answers with a nod.
