Chapter 37

Youngest of Pieces: [WHO- I AM] (8)

“It’s 5 Pieces!” the Japanese host exaggerates on the show when 5 Pieces has introduced themselves, everyone on set clapping their hands and the ladies smiling at the host who claps extra loud with a laugh. The show the group is on now has three hosts and then two guest hosts, and then 5 Pieces is the guest sitting with them now. The Japanese activities has continued right after yesterday’s second day concert in Tokyo, and 5 Pieces has today two TV-recordings with both interviews and a performance.

“For how long have you all been studying Japanese?”

“It is different for us,” Emelia gladly answers, “Hannah has been learning for almost four years now, while the rest of us has been learning … more or less for a year or two.”

“Four years?! Why is there such a big difference?” the female host wonders.

It is one of the male hosts who answer her; sounding smart when saying that Hannah learnt when she was filming for a Japanese drama, but then asks if it already has been four years, quite amazed.

“Three and a half year,” Hannah answers with a nod.

“And do you teach the other members who haven’t studied for as long?”

“I actually-” Hannah starts to answer but gives a giggle when seeing her members all turn their heads to look at her. The group is sitting in two rows; Julia and Emelia behind the other three and Hannah is sitting furthest away from the hosts so she easily sees the other members. “It’s not that I teach them, but more like … when talking in Japanese, I can help them if they make a mistake or if they ask how to say something.”

“5 Pieces is active in not just Korea and Japan but all over Asia and the world. You are always so busy, but how come your Japanese is so good? Like with Hannah, who was in Japan four years ago, how come you don’t forget to speak Japanese during the time you have been busy in other countries?”

“I just have to keep studying,” Hannah giggles and Emelia says they all do that. “Because we can’t speak every single language we know all the time, we take time to take these moments to refresh our memories with the languages we during that time don’t use among each other just to not forget it once we return. For me, when I went back to Korea after being in Japan I had gotten some friends here in Japan that I stayed in touch with so like that I would keep speaking Japanese, and the ladies like to watch movies so we learns from that too.”

“Now, I have heard that 5 Pieces are living together here in Japan?” the female host wonders.

“Yes,” all five gives a nod.

“But you live on your own in Korea?”

“No, we live together in Korea too,” Hannah answers with another nod and the host gives out a sound, asking if they really do that.

“We have lived together for five years; ever since we went to Korea,” Emelia fills out and the hosts all seem impressed.

“Both working and living together, you must have fought a few times. Can I ask that question?” the female host gives a laugh and looks worriedly around for the managers, but 5 Pieces all answers that they fight all the time. One of the other hosts says that 5 Pieces are known as fighting-idols in Korea because they fight so much, and the hosts all asks if they really fight a lot and if they use their nails like cats and pulls hair and such, which make all five girls laugh. Julia maybe doesn’t understand exactly what they say but she likes how the host is showing with his hands and how his voice goes up when talking. It’s really good when Hannah says no, no, no in Japanese and even Maria says that is impossible – these great Japanese words you hear everywhere.

“It’s impossible?” one of the hosts asks Maria.

“Impossible. Hair, no,” she answers and shakes her head and the hosts are laughing, Hannah too because Maria’s Japanese is cute.

“We have never fought like that,” Hannah answers while laughing behind her hand.

“Then what do fight about?”

“Everything. Mostly small things like what we want to eat and if someone interrupts you and really … tiny things,” Hannah explains, “and it isn’t big fights.”

“Have you never had any big fights?”

Maria is nodding and Hannah gets quiet, letting Emelia be the one to answer.

“Recently we don’t have many big fights, but we definitely have had a few big fights.”

“Since you are living together, for cleaning, cooking and those things… who does those?” the female host wonders, sounding really curious of how things works.

“Here in Japan, there is a …” Emelia suddenly turns to Hannah, mouthing the word in Swedish before Hannah answers in Japanese and Emelia sits up straight, “we have a housemaid here in Japan who does the cleaning and when it comes to cooking… we usually eat at our schedules but … among the members…”

“None of you cook?”

“We cook, but I don’t think there is just one member,” Emelia answers, “at times we cook together and at other times we cook for ourselves.”

“But you never fight over who should do what?”

“We do fight about that,” Hannah answers. “But after five years living together we have become like … ‘what you use, you take away’, each member is responsible for her own things.”

“Which member is the worst to take away dirty dishes after her?” the host asks, knowing it is a question that fans might like. Hannah smiles and glances to her right, where Carolina is sitting and from the back, Emelia points a finger too. Carolina gets a surprise, in a loud voice asking in Japanese what she did wrong (Hannah translates for her just in case she didn’t understand and suddenly Julia joins in the pointing from behind too).

“Carolina, I think, just forgets it,” Hannah explains when the hosts are asking why it’s Carolina. “She uses something and then goes to do something else, but if you remind her about it, she will take it away.”

“What kind of food do you eat in Japan? Do you make Japanese food or do you make food from your home country?”

Again Hannah lets Emelia answer. “I think it is a mix. The members really like to eat just pasta and meatballs, but we enjoy the Japanese dishes too. It all depends on what we have in the kitchen.”

“Is the food different from Japan and Sweden?” one of the male host wonders.

“Completely different!” Hannah answers and the other members agree. “The Asian culture is completely different from what we have in Europe, and in Sweden we don’t really have much flavour in our food.”

“Both in Korea and Japan and other Asian countries you have so many dishes taken out on the table that it looks like a feast, while in Sweden … food seems very simple compared to here,” Emelia adds.

“So Swedish food is plain?”

“It’s kind of plain.”

“Do you prefer plain food?”

“Carolina loves spicy food,” Hannah answers, “but I don’t think anyone of us really prefer one of them because we have gotten used to the Asian food by now.”

“We love food,” Maria comments.

“Then next time you come, we will treat you to some food,” the host says. He laughs when Maria looks at him with deep eyes, asking if he really will do that. He even gets to promise that, sounding so surprised when turning to the other hosts to say that they really must love food.

“5 Pieces has just released your first Japanese album, which you are now taking out on a tour around Japan. What is the song that is spreading out as a hit song worldwide?” the host comes to the end of the interview, and Hannah feels good that she is not the one answering to explain about [Run Out]’s confident concept.

Along with her members she stands up and claps her hands lightly once they are done and asked to take the stage to perform. While 5 Pieces are taking their positions, the hosts are joking around about the down-to-earth girls that on stage transforms into confident, young women and the female host gives a light laugh before turning to the camera and introduces 5 Pieces with [Run Out].

Hannah just can’t stop laughing at it. She even holds on to her stomach that has started to hurt from laughing too much, and neither does she care that their cute little puppy Ryo is jumping up and down next to her in excitement over the unstoppable laughing from the ladies sitting there.

After the TV broadcasts, 5 Pieces went to shoot a commercial. Last year, Hannah got to become the commercial model for a Japanese chocolate brand, and after having two concepts for it in 2012, it would be great to have 5 Pieces as one feature in the new commercial filming 2013 because of their much enjoyed Japanese promotions. So for the rest of Saturday as well as most of Sunday, 5 Pieces are filming and taking pictures for the CF and advertisement for the Japanese chocolate. Hannah is familiar with the family there, always being treated well and the set is always filled with chocolate that she is not supposed to eat but because of the filming she gets to eat anyway. It’s heaven for 5 Pieces as all five of them love chocolate. And the company will send with them a lot of chocolate once the filming ends; which 5 Pieces won’t keep but instead give to either the tour crew or fans. Anything to not be the ones eating the chocolate themselves thanks to their managers.

But what the ladies now are laughing at is about the many headlines about the arena tour. It was yesterday, of course there are headlines about it today. But it is hilarious because most of the talk online has gone over from the good live singing to 5 Pieces’ bodies. Fans are even fighting over which member has the best body and there is always one or two who tries to say that each member has her own charm and such. Hannah knows they shouldn’t laugh at the comments, but it is just so silly at times. She doesn’t really care if a few fans thinks her body is better than Julia’s, or that other fans thinks her s are too big or that they think she thinks too much of her body… Fans shouldn’t get upset or angry at each other for having different opinions.

5 Pieces’ members are all different and each member is liked for that, right?

Though the ladies have managed to pull through Saturdays activities, they are exhausted from the two days concerts where they gave their all. Hannah’s throat hurts a little, but she is happy that she managed to go through today’s two broadcasts without having problem with her voice. Now when she can’t stop laughing, she starts to cough instead because of her tired throat.

When she went through the comments about ‘5 Pieces Flaunts Their Bodies At Arena Tour’ article online, there were a lot of fans saying that Hannah must have lost more weight lately and they compared the pictures from this tour to 5 Pieces’ concert last year where fans caught a glimpse of her stomach (a tiny, little glimpse). It is a year in between, but just because Hannah was over 85kg five years ago, people seem to keep an eye on her weight. But Hannah has lost weight. After she was sick she hasn’t gained the weight she lost and instead she lost a little more because of the nervousness for the tour, but she is focused on that she will gain that weight again. She has already asked around about a good gym in Tokyo she can go to, as she so far hasn’t visited the gym in Japan. Hannah’s way to gain weight without letting it be just a bunch of fat placing ugly on her body, she can eat more when going to the gym and regain her muscles as well as weight that way. With a body that changes easy, Hannah doesn’t need many changes in her life for it to happen.

But at the same time as Hannah is a little disturbed over that fans are worrying about her loosing more weight, all five members of the group are entertained that their “y concept” is getting such a positive response. Fans are practically going insane over the clothes 5 Pieces wore at the concert. Cropped tops, tight jeans, pretty dresses, corset for Emelia and bare legs for Hannah… Fans have never seen 5 Pieces like this before, and the ladies are extremely happy for the response.

Yesterday after the concert, everyone went out to celebrate. They drank and had a good time with the crew and managers and Maria’s sisters where there too. It was a professional celebration, no one drinking much but it was more just a lot of cheering and laughing and a time to get closer to each other. The young pianist Giyoon who though is underage went with them too, drinking a Cola and having fun among all the Japanese speaking staff. Maria’s sisters had a lot of fun there too; even getting the phone number of a dancer.

On Sunday when the ladies one after one finishes their solo shots for the commercial, they leave to go to the practice-room where they will do an interview for the American documentary that finished filming with 5 Pieces at day-two concert. Sitting in the corner of the practice-room, one member at a time is being interviewed in English. They get to answer questions and talk about clips that the crew has been filming during this time together; talk a lot about their activities and in Hannah’s opinion talk about some silly things. A translator is there, to help the managers make sure 5 Pieces are answering the questions right. Their managers need to work hard during the English interview to try make sure nothing 5 Pieces says can be heard the wrong way; as the ladies are used to have their words turned around to create something complete different, but after five years like this the ladies are pretty good to avoid those things too.

After the interviews are done and the American crew have left for the last time (for some reason it feels relaxing after the crew has left, leaving 5 Pieces alone) 5 Pieces gets to practice for tomorrow. They will have a fan meeting in Sendai in the morning, but later that day when they will be in Fukushima for another fan meeting and a radio, Maria won’t be there due to her schedule in Korea. The group has to practice for the fan meeting without Maria, as their front singer won’t be present, but they practice with Maria too because they still have a fan meeting with her in the morning.

After hours of practicing, after midnight, 5 Pieces heads home to sleep. Hannah’s body is still exhausted from the concert and she lays down in her bed the first thing she does when she has washed up. Wearing a huge sweater, she covers her legs with her quilt and is lying on her stomach with face buried in the pillow, eyes unable to open. She gives out a sound with her lips when hearing small claws hitting the floor when one of the puppies is tipping inside the room in light weight. A puppy – Hannah hasn’t opened her eyes to see who – jumps up with his front paws at the side of the bed and she can hear the puppy sniff towards her. She can imagine how a tail is happily waving at the back while the puppy’s head is stretched forward to try reach over to her. Hannah takes out her hand, and she giggles against the pillow when the puppy starts to her fingers and try to push her hand, maybe wanting her to get up or make room for him to come up. She peeks out under her heavy eyelids, smiling at Ryo whose black nose is pointing out at her while his white fur is standing out cute like a baby’s and adorable black eyes are looking at her.

“You want to sleep in my bed tonight?” Hannah mumbles at the puppy and uses all her strength to turn her body to lie on the side, giving space in front of her where she pats the bed. Ryo is fast to get up on the books standing by the bed and when getting up where she was patting, he tries to her happily in the face, making Hannah laugh and try to hide her face.

The small puppy lies down there with her, really happy when Hannah cuddles with him. Again, her eyes have shut down and she is comfortable lying in her new position. Minutes passes and Hannah is pretty sure she falls asleep, but she doesn’t as her bed starts to vibrate from her cell phone getting a call and all of a sudden she gets clearly awake and grabs the phone when sitting up. Its Jonghyun’s sister.

With a confused grimace she answers the call, her voice sounding tired but she manages to sound polite and friendly to her boyfriend’s sister.

Hi Hannah, did I wake you up? It’s extremely early, I know, and I’m sorry for that… How’s Japan?

“Japan’s good, and no, you didn’t wake me up – I just came home from practice. But why are you up this late… or early?” Hannah wonders and checks the time. It’s around four in the morning already, no wonder she is so tired. She knows Jonghyun was at his family earlier, but she is pretty sure he should have left already; but then again, he hasn’t texted her to tell her goodnight so she isn’t sure if he is going back to the dorm yet, or maybe he went to sleep as it is too early... Maybe something has happened? Sodam answers her unspoken questions right away.

“It is nothing serious, but Jonghyun has fractured his nose and is at the hospital,” Sodam answers, and she has actually practiced this conversation as Jonghyun has told her a lot about Hannah. “It was a small car accident, a tiny little one.”

It’s like someone is holding on to her chest so she can’t breathe, and Hannah can actually feel the blood in her veins get cold by the news. Sodam hadn’t started to tell the news with that he has been in a car accident, because she has the sense of remembering Hannah’s car accident – and one bad car accident leaves a print on you, so when hearing the word “car accident” it is not the small ones.

“It’s a nose fracture?”

It is nothing bigger than a nose fracture,” Sodam answers, “He will be at the hospital for a few days, so he told me to call you and say you can’t meet tomorrow and he is sorry for that.

“Oh…” Hannah breathes out, not knowing what else to say.

Jonghyun wanted me to call before your managers tell you, in case they would say it the wrong way,” Sodam keep stalking.

Hannah nods, though she knows Sodam can’t see that. Her eyes are burning, from being tired and from tears trying to break out. She at the insides of her cheeks, holding it in. It is just a small nose fracture, nothing serious. And he told his sister to call her, which means he isn’t in a coma. Suddenly she crawls to her bag, picking up her laptop while Sodam is talking to her, asking if she is alright after the news and making sure it wasn’t a big accident at all before going over to talk about other random things. Hannah does her best to be nice and stay focused while her laptop is starting, just giving a few sounds and words for answer.

I’m sorry for calling so late, Hannah, but it’s good that I didn’t wake you up... And don’t worry about my brother, okay?” Sodam says when the call is coming to an end.

“I’m thankful for the call, thank you,” Hannah says in a low voice, glancing up when Emelia enters the room. Ryo starts to wave his tail while lying still on Hannah’s bed, looking over at Emelia.

After saying goodnight to Sodam, Hannah hangs up and bites her lip while searching online to get some other news.

“Got something interested to look up?” Emelia wonders when seeing Hannah searching on the laptop after talking to someone.

“Mm…” Hannah mumbles while looking at the new article that has popped up, biting even more on her lower lip. SM Entertainment has already came out with a statement that Jonghyun was in a car accident on his way back to the dorm, and he will be at the hospital to recover. It stands fractured nasal bone.

She wants to text him and asks if he is okay, but she doesn’t know who will see the text so she decides not to. Or can she? A lot of people will text him when hearing about the accident, won’t they? So that means she can do it too, just a small text to reveal she is worried but doesn’t really … say more, in case others reads it. Hannah doesn’t know if someone has taken his cell phone or not, depending on how the car accident scene was like, but she definitely wants to text him.

The girl picks up her cell phone again and stares at it while biting her lips. What should she write then? It’s not like she can ask how he is doing and say she thinks about him, which would be weird. As friends (in case someone looks), she could write … that she heard about the accident, asking if he is doing well and … and … she can write that … how can she write that she misses him and … she really doesn’t know what to write. With a sigh she leans her back against the wall, only the noticing something that makes her look up. Emelia is sitting on her own bed, looking like she is taking off her socks, but she has apparently stopped that to instead look at Hannah. Hannah gets a surprise to see her roommate sit there and look at her with a questioned expression.

“What’s up?” Emelia asks, pulling off her sock before throwing it on the floor.

“Nothing…” Hannah mumbles and looks down at her cell phone that she is holding with two almost shaking hands. She hugs on to the cell phone tightly to not watch her hands shake.

“Hannah,” Emelia sighs, pulling off her other sock. “You are crying.”

Hannah drops her cell phone to touch her cheeks, her fingers gets wet from tears that she didn’t know had appeared. She had no idea she was crying. Emelia asks her again what’s going on, and Hannah wipes the tears over and over and over again with her sleeves.

“Jonghyun has been in an accident,” Hannah mumbles and then laughs, embarrassed for crying. “I shouldn’t be crying because it isn’t anything serious, but… I don’t know why I’m crying.”

“Because it’s four in the morning and we haven’t gone to bed yet,” Emelia answers with a smile but then looks at Hannah without that smile. “He is okay?”

“His sister called me, saying he is,” Hannah mumbles and wipes the tears in her face again, turning off the laptop and putting it away. Quietly she lies down in her bed, putting an arm over Ryo who is still lying there and she breathes out. She maybe can give Jonghyun a text after getting some sleep, letting it sink in for her.

Emelia doesn’t say anything more and goes to bed herself too after turning off the lights, and it gets quiet and dark in the room. Hannah can hear Carolina read out loud in the room next too and Maria finishing up in the bathroom, and with time she hears Maria go to bed and a little later Carolina gets quiet too. The whole apartment gets quiet… but Hannah can’t sleep.

She turns around to lie on her back, facing up at the ceiling before picking up her cell phone. She must text him now; it would be horrible if she waited. She can’t wait. What if he knows his sister has called her already and he is waiting for her to text him? Hannah is biting her lip again, feeling exhausted. Her thumb starts to write a new text, writing that she heard about the accident and asks if he is doing well. And at the end she simply adds a heart, because if a stranger reads the text, that person won’t know like Jonghyun that Hannah isn’t the kind who sends hearts. Hopefully Jonghyun will take notice of it…

After sending it, she just lies there and pouts, looking at a picture of Jonghyun she has on her phone. She has many pictures, and she can look at him for so long without getting tired of the view. Even if it is just a picture, she won’t get tired looking at him. Ryo kicks up a leg in the air and she smiles, turning back to lie on her side with a hand on the puppy who lifted his leg when missing her hand touching him. Tiredly she closes her eyes, feeling better now when she has sent the text, but a part of her is waiting for a response.

Is he in pain? Does it hurt?

Should she have asked the questions she suddenly is wondering over in the text?

Drifting in to sleep, Hannah dreams of her song [I CRY] where the lyrics at the end goes *two lights rush towards me, just one second, a beautiful melody leaves me* that she wrote thinking of how a car is heading straight at you when you stand on the street, waiting for death. The song is played in her head, the same part repeated louder and louder while she gets glimpses of her car accident two years ago. Her body unable to move, being stuck in the van up-side-down, how she couldn’t breath because of the seatbelt, the awful smell of smoke and rain mixed together…

Less than two hours asleep, Hannah is woken up by Emelia telling her to wake up. Hannah hides her face in her pillow. It feels like she hasn’t slept at all, and she wants to cry again remembering what she dreamt about. Her whole body is in pain, either of their schedules or from the memory of not being able to move.

There are voices in the apartment, and while hiding her face in her pillow Hannah can hear stylists Mi Young, Chan Hyo and Yong Hyun talk beside from her own members. Feeling like a mess, Hannah checks her cell phone. It’s six in the morning, and she has no text message. With a sigh she sits up, pulling on a pair of sweatpants when her feet reach the floor and she heads straight to the bathroom without meeting anyone. She washes her face, uses the toilet and brushes her hair, bushes her teeth too while glaring in the mirror. Her eyes are dead, and she is not in the mood, not feeling good at all when hearing the bright voices from the apartment happily chatting with each other. How can they be this happy at this hour? Did they even get any sleep?

Hannah sighs again before getting out of the bathroom, heading to the kitchen to see what she can take for breakfast.

“Good morning,” Yong Hyun brightly greets her without having his voice raised too much, and he gives her a hug for a greeting. Hannah just mumbles to greet him back, touching his elbow lightly in the hug before walking in the kitchen. Everyone is getting ready with hair and make-up; that is what the stylists are doing here. Julia and Carolina are the two getting ready now; Julia looks like she is falling asleep in her seat around the kitchen table that is currently filled with make-up and hair products, and some accessories that Yong Hyun must have brought with him.

Hannah just glances at it before she turns around to open the fridge, without a second thought taking out the juice.

“It will be the first time taking the Shinkansen,” Mi Young is talking with the others, and Hannah knows what they are talking about. To come to Sendai in time for their fan meeting, they will take the bullet train from Tokyo to Sendai. It will be a good experience; the ladies have looked forward to it as they haven’t tried it before. But now, Hannah isn’t in the mood to be excited for that. She takes her glass of juice and disappears in her room again, to check her cell phone once again and see if there has come out something more about the accident online.

He hasn’t responded to her text message. Hannah sighs when not seeing anything new on her cell phone, but she can’t expect him to answer at the hospital though a part of her will keep hoping for it.

“Hannah! You’re up!”

With another sigh she puts the cell phone in her pocket and brings her glass of juice with her inside the living-room/kitchen where a chair is waiting for her.

She is glad that no one asks about her mood, and she knows why. Hannah often looks pissed off in the morning before she has woken up, and she rarely speaks either if she has just woken up, so she is really happy they are letting her be for now. Mi Young puts up Hannah’s hair to keep her face free, and Hannah can feel a pair of soft feminine hands on her skin. The youngest closes her eyes when Mi Young starts applying make-up on her, starting the transformation. Hannah doesn’t touch her glass of juice because she just brushed her teeth, but she still eats the toast that Emelia gives her without a word. Emelia prepared her own breakfast (two toasts with nothing else but butter on top) and when seeing Hannah just sit there in her half-dead/sleep mood with a glass of juice at the table in front of her she prepared a small toast with melted cheese and cucumber. Hannah eats it, knowing that Emelia can easily bring up a subject Hannah doesn’t want to talk about in case she doesn’t eat it; it is an unspoken threat with Emelia giving breakfast in front of her like this, and Hannah knows that threat well. With the taste of toast in , Hannah can drink the juice too without getting a bad taste from the toothpaste – toothpaste and juice is no good match.

The people around the apartment keeps talking, and there are happy greetings when Manager Lee comes inside the apartment too, informing the ladies that Manager Kawayama will take care of some things in Tokyo when they are in Sendai, but come to their activities in Fukushima because Manager Lee will head to Korea with Maria at that time. Hannah listens to them while getting her make-up done and she finishes drinking her juice too, not really caring how the managers will go back and forth.

“Can I borrow Hannah for a moment?”

Hannah looks up when hearing Manager Lee use a very smooth voice to ask the stylists, and Hannah meets Mi Young’s eyes.

“Sure,” Mi Young shrugs her shoulders and takes a step aside for Hannah tog get up.

She walks with her manager to the hall, where they can talk without being interrupted, and she stares at his feet when he turns around in front of her, facing her. He is in dark jeans today, and like always in black socks. Hannah looks down at her own feet, seeing her blank toenails peeking out under the too long legs of her sweatpants; the legs of her sweatpants haven’t been pulled up over her heels, so just a bit of her feet are seen.

“I believe you have heard what happened to Jonghyun a few hours ago,” Manager Lee says, and when Hannah nods she can see that his arms are crossed over his chest. “And I know you planned on meeting him today, you had planned it with Manager Lim before the accident, right?” Again she nods, not awake to speak and neither in the mood for it. “Manager Lim told me that you can’t go visit Jonghyun at the hospital-”

“Why not?” Hannah suddenly looks up at him, her lips parted in the surprise.

“Your every step is being watched. SM has said that none of you can do something out of the schedule for a while when you are in Korea because media is following you like hawks. I’m sorry, Hannah, it’s the rule now; you can’t go to the hospital.”

“Appa said that? Did he call you before you came here?”

“He is still sleeping, Hannah.”

She doesn’t listen to her manager when taking out the cell phone from her pocket, looking angry when dialing the number to Manager Lim. She turns away from Manager Lee, her lip trembling while glaring at the wall, signal after signal passes before a groan answers.

I guessed you would call,” her manager groans, sounding like he was sleeping.

“Why can’t I go see him at the hospital?” Hannah bursts out at him without raising her voice. “You know he came when I was at the hospital.”

It’s a bad timing. Beside, by the time you are in Korea the visiting hours have passed, and media are flocking around not just SM but your apartment to get comments about 5 Pieces attention worldwide. Hannah, do you want it to come out that you are dating or not? Trust me on this, and stay away from the hospital or I will have to personally keep an eye on you,” Manager Lim tells her in his groggy morning voice.

Hannah pouts and has an urge to start crying again, but she takes a deep breath and keeps pouting.

Did you hear me clear, Hannah?” Manager Lim asks her.

“No,” she angrily mutters with a pout and glances at Manager Lee who is still standing with his arms crossed over his chest and looking at her, “I have to go get rid of the ugly marks below my eyes now from lack of sleep. I hope you get better luck on that than me.”

She hangs up and walks away from the hall without a word to her manager watching her, and she goes back to her seat with her lower lip slightly pouting out when she is trying to hold back her emotions from either crying or throwing something. If media wasn’t insane, she would have been able to go see how Jonghyun is doing. But if media wasn’t insane, her fans would be and they would be the ones stalking her. No, the media and fans don’t have to be insane for her managers to get a reason so she can’t see Jonghyun.

When her cell phone starts to ring and it is Manager Lim, she turns off the signal and puts her cell phone in her pocket. She would turn the cell phone off if it wasn’t for that she is still hoping for a response from Jonghyun.e

Manager Lee comes inside to take a seat in the sofa, turned around to be able to look at those getting their make-up on, and to listen to the conversations. Maria looks at their manager, her eyes asking what it is about. He shakes his head, and she guess he doesn’t want to talk about it here. She glances at Hannah, seeing the youngest looking furious and being in deep thoughts.

Not until Hannah is done with both hair and make-up and she is going to get changed, Maria approaches her in the bedroom.

“What are you so pissed off for?” the leader questions with a hand on her hip, her pretty face looking serious.

“I’m tired,” Hannah mutters with a sigh. “And I had a nightmare so I couldn’t sleep.”

Maria grimaces, sensing something. “Nightmare? You had a nightmare?”

The only times Hannah has heard Hannah had nightmares has been about the car accident or at their beginning in Korea it was about antis being so horrible that they hurt the ladies by throwing knives on the stage and such things. Hannah rarely has dreams at all when she sleeps, at least what Maria is aware of.

“Mm… It’s nothing, but I’m still upset,” Hannah mutters and turns around to look at Maria. “It’s nothing, Maria, I just have mood swings.”

“Okay,” Maria hesitates with a strange smile. She breathes out and steps closer to Hannah to give her a hug. “Don’t shut down in front of me, Hannah, we are in this together, remember?”

She doesn’t want to talk about Jonghyun now, thinking she will just break down if she does, so Hannah tells Maria that she is just not in the mood to talk about it. Maria nods when stepping back.

“I’ll wait for you to tell me,” Maria tells her friendly, never being in a rush. “But you better be in a better mood later, baby, because we are riding that funny bullet train thing.”

Hannah smiles, nodding, but her smile fades when Maria has left her alone.
