Jessica's POV

Soojung has been practicing for 3 days straight and I know she's really frustrated on doing her jumps. Any mistake she makes will reflect on the score that the judges will give. The wrong height, wrong turn, even wrong landing will mean less points.

Her personal best record before her injury was 230.95 short program and free skate scores combined. She beat Yuna sunbaenim's personal record of 228.56 which she scored in 2010 Winter Olympics in Toronto where she won the Gold Medal for Korea.

I know she's doing her best and Coach Mike always has some motivational talks with her and pointers. I had her figure skates customized just the way she like it and blades sharpen every after 40 hours of use.

Her spins are fantastic and her jumps, we practice it first off ice before trying it on ice. We have Luna at the side to check her knees from time to time every practice.

Amber on the other hand monitors her form on ice and watches her when she practice her jumps and spins making sure that my sister will safely land on ice. She's the first one to tell Soojung if she did something wrong or her spin was not in the right angle. She also make sure that Soojung is always in a good disposition while practicing and lifts her spirits high.

But this past 3 days were a bit difficult for Soojung because her lucky charm is not beside her. A day after I reprimanded them on the incident, Amber's friend Jay called telling that their Grandma Kim was rushed to the hospital because of high fever. Since Soojung is practicing and Dani is busy on her reviews for the coming exams, Amber decided to go home to Jeju and check on the elder.

The monkey was suppose to fly back here in Seoul today but I think it will be delayed until the day before her event. I heard them talking on the phone earlier when I found Soojung on the bleachers looking sad as a puppy talking on the phone. She understands the situation since it's Grandma's health at risk.

"Yah! Are you finish sulking now Soojung? Want to practice off ice?" She nodded at me looking sad and went down the bleachers.

Every jumps that a figure skater does in ice must be practiced first off ice. That is to ensure that her jumps are correct and her form perfect. Her flexibility and strength being checked too because let's face the fact, skaters are some of the world's strongest athletes in the world. There's no way we can do that difficult spins and triple jumps if our body is not ready on those moves.

"Double Lutz, triple Toe!"

"Double Salchow, double Toe! Soojung your momentum ! Again!"

"Triple Lutz, triple Toe!" I shouted at her while she do those jumps on the floor.

"Now try the double Axel then double Toe!"

"Flex those legs, your jump should be enough! Stretch your legs up and try to do the 'I Spin' Yuna sunbaenim taught you. After that let's try it in the rink."

I let her rest for a while and have her knees iced. After that we went to the rink and tried the jumps I told her to do when we were off ice.

"Triple Lutz, Triple Toe!" Her jump was precise and her landing smooth.

She did all of the jumps we practiced and I'm impressed. Her form has improved a lot and her flexibility too. Her outside Spread Eagle looks good too by the way her legs spread and her body bends. I can't help but compare it from her form before.

Luna being her therapist, strength and conditioning coach, and all around gym buddy is a good help. Soojung's core strength and flexibility improved a lot when Luna handled her. I was teasing Soojung after the practice that it's not Luna she has to thank for for her improved flexibility especially her leg spreads but her girlfriend Amber. Yuri and Luna burst out laughing when Soojung heard it because they easily got what I was saying but Soojung, poor Soojung was just frowning at me clueless. Her forehead in a scrunch trying to decipher what I said. I think Amber rubbed some stupidity on her hehehe... I'm so cruel.

Since her Amber was not there, no one can explain it to her and save her. Uncle Mike was just smirking but kept his mouth shut trying not to join Yuri and Luna. Victoria came to visit her in practice and found us all huddle up at the middle of the ice rink with Luna and Yuri spazzing crazily.

I really want to tell it to her but I held myself. I believe that unnie's are born to annoy and piss their dongsaengs in every brutal way possible. And I want to get back to her for staining my table with her icky fluids. Eeew.

"Victoria unnie! You're heaven sent! Oh I love you unnie!" She shouted at the newly arrived guest and skated her way to welcome Vic. Vic was on ice skates and joined us in the huddle.

"Eh Soojung... Why so excited to see me? Your pictorial is still next week after the invitational." I asked Vic to be Soojung's publicist and manager. She represents my sister in Ad companies and other companies who wants to get her as an endorser. Media and print, TV stations will have to get in touch with her first for any statements or intents for interview or photo shoots.

She also represents Yuri and now Do-yeon who is starting to be casted in CFs earning her own money. I love that kid, she realized her potential early on and made it a living. Meanwhile Shannon likes joining singing contests and she wins occasionally. Amber and Soojung told them to make studies their first priority before anything else and they followed them.

"Victoria unnie, they are ganging up on me! Unnie here said something about my flexibility and they started laughing at me." Soojung said pouting at Vic.

Vic seemed looking confuse on what Soojung said so Luna intervened "Jessi here said that Soojung should not just thank me for improving her flexibility--"

"Don't forget about the leg spreads Luna!" Yuri snorted still laughing silently earning a nudge from Soojung.

"Oookay...."

"Jessi said Soojung should also thank Amber because she helped her especially on leg spreads." I laughed loudly when Luna gave Vic a double wink indicating something. Vic was clueless at first then looked at Soojung intently. I know she saw something that why she also burst out laughing clutching her belly.

"YAH! Vic unnie! Are you also laughing at me?! Oh God you're all so crazy!"

Uncle Mike stood up and skated his way out of the rink laughing. "Hahaha! I'm outta here Soojung! This is ladies' talk I don't wanna hear it. I'll see you all tomorrow!"

Soojung was already teary eyed but she kept her composure and pouted at me. She kept on slapping my arms lightly making me laugh out loud.

"Soojungie!! Over here!" I saw Sulli going near the rink and my sister again welcomed the newly arrived girl waving at me. She's not wearing skates so Soojung just pulled her inside the rink using her white sneakers as skates.

"Yah! Soojung! Why the rush to pull me? I haven't change into skates!"

"You don't know how to skate you giant so it's better if you don't change. I need you to defend me to all of them. They're making fun at me! Amber's not here that's why I don't have her to defend me."

"Jess unnie! Annyeong!" She greeted me and sat beside Soojung.

"Jinri-ah they are Luna unnie my therapist and conditioning coach, Yuri unnie my other trainer, and Vic unnie my publicist and manager. Yuri and Vic unnie are Amber's cousin.

"Annyeong I'm Choi Jinri but you can call me Sulli!" She greeted with enthusiasm smiling.

Vic checked her from head to toe and tilted her chin up and down, left and right then spoke "Would you like to be a model? Your height and your face structure is what Ad companies wants now. Just tell me I'll represent you!"

"Jjinja!? I would love to!"

We laughed at Sulli's eagerness and even asked Victoria to get her be paired with Taecyeon of 2PM. I saw Soojung loosen up and be merry forgetting about the stress she's having. I pulled her to my side draping my arms on her shoulders.

"By the way Soojung, back to the topic of leg spreads--"

"Yah! Jung Soojung! Don't tell me you already spread your legs to Amber! This calls for a celebration!" This is gold!

We all start spazzing again on what Sulli said. Luna and Victoria were high fiveing each other while Yuri rolls on the ice floor clutching her belly. I held my very shock and tongue tied sister beside me, giggling while she, looking like she wants to make a hole in the ice and bury her head like an ostrich.

"Hahahahaha!!! I like you Sulli, I like your humor! You should join us some time when we go out." Luna said in between her laughs.

"Why are you all laughing? It's true, right? Soojung-ah?

"Why are you all ganging up on me?! Luna unnie! You were the one who told Amber to do those leg spreading exercise to me. Remember when you told her what to do!" I raised my eyebrows on what she said. Leg spreading exercise?!?

Luna looked dumbfounded on what Soojung said tilting her head on the side maybe trying to remember something. She narrowed her eyes at Soojung asking.

"I did told her to do the stretching on your knees back then and put that cream on your knees but I don't remember telling her to do some leg spreading exercise on you."

That monkey! Did she fool my sister on doing those things?!

Victoria and Yuri shared a wondering look thinking about what Luna said. Soojung was fumbling in her phone texting Amber but there was no reply.

Victoria suddenly snapped and clapped her hands together with her eyes wide with mischief and fun. "Oh my God! That stupid monkey was preparing you for something! I knew it!!"

"Yah! Yah! I get it! That er! She asked me about it before when I called her in Jeju and even taught her how but I didn't know she will use it on you. Wow... Well you can thank Amber hehehe.. I think it was put to good use judging on what I'm seeing now." Luna smirked at me then turned to my sister who's finally realizing it all.

She looked at Luna and Victoria frowning thinking why they are looking at her with those funny smile on their lips. Sulli helped her by poking her neck.

"Soojung-ah, next time cover these hickeys with a concealer. You forgot to cover this one.." Sulli was poking on the dark colored kiss mark just below her jawline.

"Hey! I dabbed a concealer there before I started! Maybe it already wore off..." She consciously covered it with her shirt pouting. "Unnie~"

"It's not my fault you let that monkey feast on your neck. Next time tell her to put it on an area that can be easily concealed. That's what you get for fooling around with that monkey!"

"Soojung-ah.." Luna called her smiling widely "Next time you do it, don't put pressure on your knees. You know what I mean.." she winked at Soojung making my sister blush and stood up. "I'll be going now, Jjong is already waiting for me. Bye guys! Sulli, don't forget to come in Soojung's event we're going to go out after that. Vic teach Soojung how to be flexible like you!"

We stayed there for another hour just talking and laughing. Sulli was telling some funny stories teaming up with Victoria making us laugh. I can see that Soojung was happy but there was some sadness in her eyes because she miss someone terribly. Yuri gave me a knowing look and I understood it.

The girls said their goodbyes, Victoria left with Sulli talking about the great modelling career that she plans for the giant. Yuri drove us home with Soojung at the backseat staring outside the window like she's doing a music video.

"Hey... Want me to play something sad on the radio? I'll film you doing that sad moments on the car window.." Yuri burst out laughing when she saw how Soojung glared at me pouting. She's been pouting ever since this morning I want to put a tape on .

Wow... The monkey has been gone for 3 days and she's already acting like this. What more if it's a month?!

"Hey..." I called her "Want to eat some Bingsu?"

"Yeah... sure..." She answered me without looking. Yuri stopped the car on an ice cream shop and we left Soojung inside the car while we buy some Bingsu. We also ordered for the 4 teens who are busy reviewing for their exams. I didn't tell Soojung that we will be dropping her off at Amber's house.

We came back and she saw the bags of Bingsu we had in tow. She looked at me wondering and I just smiled at her. "Bingsu party? The kids needs this because they're studying hard for the exams." She just smiled at me and nodded.

She was holding her phone texting and I bet it's the monkey. The monkey texted me a while ago asking for a favor and Yuri too. Of course all I want for this stupid sister of mine is to be happy.

"You worked hard today Soojung-ah, let unnie treat you with this Bingsu okay?"

"Hey! I paid for it! So it's my treat for Soojung." Yuri countered earning a glare from me. She pursed her lips and continued on driving.

Her phone ringed and she answered it immediately not looking at the screen. It was Dani on the other line because I heard Soojung sigh asking how she's doing with her review. When Yuri turned the car on the direction of Amber's house Soojung tapped me in the shoulder while still on the phone with Dani. I just smiled at her and told her that I'm going to cook dinner.

The four kids were so happy when we arrived especially when they saw the Bingsu we have for them. I let them eat the treats first while I prepare a simple dinner of Spaghetti for them and some roasted chicken. The kids said they were so hungry but no one wants to move and cook because they're exhausted from studying.

Yuri went home to get a bottle of red wine in her house and a bottle of sparkling wine for the teens. She said it's just for tonight to reward them for studying hard.

Dani was pouting because she said she wants to eat meat but they are so lazy they settled for crackers. I told her she should have called me earlier so that we can buy some meat and cook it for them.

"When is Amber unnie coming back?" Shannon asked making Soojung smile at her.

"Maybe the day before my event. She said Grandma has been discharged from the hospital and is already in their house. She just need to make sure she's okay before coming back."

Do-yeon patted her shoulders consoling her "Don't worry unnie, she'll be back before your event. Maybe she'll even surprise you.."

"Yeah... I know she misses you too so much unnie so please smile and be happy. By the way can I have some of those red wine Yuri unnie?" Tia asked Yuri grinning. Yuri gave her the eye and she settled for the sparkling wine.

The dinner ended and I checked on what the teens was studying. After that I said goodbye to them and Soojung too but I stopped her from coming with me.

"Oh no you don't, you're staying here Soojung."

"But I have practice tomorrow unnie, no one will drive me to the University."

I gave her a hug and patted her head "You sleep here, I know how much you miss that monkey. Roll on her bed, trash it, smell her pillow. I can't stand seeing you look like a pathetic lovestruck teenager missing her boyfriend."

"What about practice?" She asked me with care in her eyes.

"I'll ask Yuri to drive you tomorrow don't worry about that, okay? Go, rest, ice your knee then sleep. I'll see you tomorrow Soojung. Love you.." I kissed her forehead and went out the door to the waiting Yuri in her car. I get in and waved goodbye to Soojung and the teens.

There was silence in the car while Yuri is driving me home. She cleared when we stopped on a red light.

"So... How was your appointment the other day?"

Oh. The appointment. I forgot to tell her about it... Or maybe I just really don't want to tell her.

"It was...good. The talk was great..."

"You enjoyed his company?.."

"Yeah I did..." I froze on my seat. How did she know it's a he???

She nodded at my answer and drived when the lights turned green. She was whistling with her eyes on the road. What is she thinking? And how did she knew about him?

"That's good.. Are you going to see him again?"

I sighed and turned to her. Just tell the truth Sooyeon, it won't change anything.

"Ne, next week after Soojung's training. He invited me to dinner again and I said yes."

She nodded again and spoke "Okay..."

My blood boiled in annoyance on what Yuri said. That's it???! No violent reactions?! No 'Don't see him again' line??!

"Yuri did you understand what I said? I said I'm going to dinner with someone next week!"

"Yeah I heard it Sooyeon... Why are you mad?!"

"Because! Oh my God I can't believe you!!"

"What?! You're going out and it's not bad. I can't stop you from doing what you want! And you said you enjoyed his company so that means he's a good guy."

I pull on my hair out of frustration. God why??! Why is she so dense??!

"Are you not even gonna tell me to stop going out with him and you don't want me to see him again?? Are you not even jealous I'm going out with someone other than you??"

She stopped the car in front of our apartment building, took off her seat belt and faced me. "I am jealous but I don't have the right to be jealous Sooyeon! You can't be stuck with me and not live your life the way you want it to."

"If you're jealous why the hell are you still pushing me to meet him again?"

"Because we are friends.." that word again. Friends. How many times I heard that from her.

I took off my seatbelt and reached for the door. I turned to her and smirked "Friends.. friends who kiss and make out. That's what I am to you Yuri, someone who'll keep you entertained. I'm done with this I'm tired.."

"Sooyeon--"

I went out of the car and slammed the door on her. My head aches, my heart aches. And the person I needed the most to fix it is the same person who gave it to me.

In the wee hours of the morning, a lone figure tiptoed its way inside the 4 bedroom house with a back pack swinging on its arms. The house was quiet and only the ticking of the clock is heard breaking the silence.

Opening the door of the room carefully the person took a peek inside. There on the bed, hugging a pillow is the girl the person misses the most. Entering the room and closing the door silently, the person dropped the bag on the floor and kneeled beside the bed marveling at the celestial like beauty sleeping.

Amber misses her so much even though it was just 3 days. They were texting the whole time she's away but it's different when they are together in person.

She stood up and took off her clothes and changed into her boxers and singlet. Her girlfriend was sleeping with a frown on her face and pouting. She look so cute that Amber wants to kiss her to take that pout away.

She lifted the blanket and snuggled beside the sleeping girl, taking out the pillow Soojung is snuggling in exchange of her body.

She wrapped her arms on Soojung's waist and rolled the girl on top of her waking Soojung up. The girl had problem opening her sleepy eyes that's why Amber kissed both of it.

"Hey... I miss you brat.."

"Am...." Soojung rubbed her eyes to take out the sleepiness on it and saw her girlfriend beneath her smiling. "Oh my God!~ you're here!" The happy girl exclaimed in a low sleepy voice full of surprise. "Why are you here?! I thought you'll be coming home before the event?"

"Surprise! Grandma sent me home... She's okay now and Jay is taking care of her. She said you should visit her for a few days on the kids' school break. She's praying for your win in the competition."

Soojung cupped her girlfriend's cheeks and dipped her head crashing her lips on Amber's. Oh! How much she misses those plump lips that always taste like sweet tea. Telling her girlfriend how much she misses her with a sweet kiss.

They broke the kiss and Soojung stared lovingly at Amber's face seeing how exhausted her monkey is but she's still smiling, happy to finally see and smell the girl. Feeling the warmth of Soojung's body on top of her making her feel secured.

"You're tired babe..."

"I took the last ferry out of the island because the last flight left me. I couldn't wait for the morning to come, I have to be by your side immediately or I'll go crazy missing you." Soojung's cheeks blushed hearing those words from her girlfriend. Because she's also going bonkers missing the monkey that she can't sleep properly at night without talking to her on the phone.

She pouted at the girl tracing her index finger on its nose "What if I'm not here? Then it will be a waste.."

Amber laughed softly at the girl and rubbed her nose on its cheek tickling Soojung with her breath "That's why I asked Jessi to bring you here and let you sleep in my bed. Because I told her I miss you so much, she said you worked hard while I was gone. But you're also making her crazy because of all your pouting and sighing."

"Because I miss you that's why..." She mumbled to Amber making the monkey smile tenderly at her.

She kissed Soojung softly rubbing the girls' back and tightened her hug on its waist. Soojung wrapped her arms on Amber's body while they kiss with no hurry.

"I love you Am... I'm glad you're back."

"Me too babe... I love you... Sleep, we'll talk in the morning when we wake up." Soojung buried her face on Amber's chest hearing the girls' beating heart calling her name.
