Jessica's POV

"Who are you?!"

I know that voice like the back of my hands. I hurriedly went out of my room to get Dani away from that man.

There he was standing at our door with a very transfixed Dani looking at him. I took a few steps and pulled Dani out of the way and pushed her to Soojung's direction who is now having her resting face look.

"What are you doing here Dad?"

"Is that how you greet your oldman Sooyeon? Where is Soojung? I need to talk to her?" He walked pass me bumping my shoulders. I held his arm to stop him from going further.

"That can wait tomorrow Dad. It's already late and Soojung doesn't want to talk to you."

"Why are you being like this Sooyeon?! Are you hiding something?" He shaked off my hands and walked to our living room. My heart beating fast, scared that he will do something bad if he see Yuri in our house. I don't want him to see Yuri, I'm afraid for Yuri's safety.

He saw Soojung hiding Dani at her back, Amber was with her holding her hands. Dad's eyes darted from their intertwined hands and Amber's face.

"Soojung, honey. Is that how you welcome Daddy? I missed you so much sweetie!" He has this pathetic smile on his face that I want to wipe. Yuri was nowhere in the room so it means she hid herself.

"What do you want Dad? And please, drop the fake cheesiness because you can't fool us anymore." I went to Dani and pulled her away in the living room.
"Dani, where's Yuri?" I whispered at her while Soojung and Dad are conversing.

"She went to your room unnie.. Unnie.. is that your father?"

I nodded at her and gave her a faint smile "Ne, he is. We just need to talk to him for a while. Go to Yuri and make sure she's not having her attacks. Okay?"

"Ne, unnie."

I went back to them at the living room and saw my Dad seating on the couch comfortably. Ever since that day, the day Mom found out about his infidelity and activities, my respect to him came crashing down.

Soojung is now on the single seater sofa being held by Amber. My sister hates his guts, not just because he dropped her on his training pool like a piece of rug after her injury. We found out a portion of her winnings from competitions before was used by Dad to sustain his hobby. Playing at the casino and at Vegas. Our accountant Key told us that he had been able to save a large amount of Soojung's earnings and placed it secured in the bank.

"I told you Dad, I already started my training. I've been invited to join the special tournament and I'm getting ready for it."

"I don't care. I want you to drop out of that competition Soojung and just wait for another one that will open."

"Why? Are you afraid that I'll beat your new trainee?" Soojung scoffed at him and held Amber's hand. I sat on the stool beside Soojung and watched Dad turned to Amber with a questioning look.

"Who are you? Why are you holding my daughter's hands?"

"I'm sorry I forgot my manners sir.." Amber stood up and bowed to him out of respect "My name is Amber J. Liu."

He looked at Amber with interest and I know what kind of interest it is. "You are that hockey player from L.A. Galaxy, right? I heard you're retired boy..."

"Amber is my girlfriend Dad, and he is not a boy." Soojung retorted to Dad and pulled Amber to sit at the arm rest of the sofa.

"I am not a boy or man or whatever sir.. and yes, Soojung and I are together."

Dad's jaw clenched looking at the two. I see disgust in his eyes and Soojung stared back at him with animosity in her eyes.

I cleared my throat to get his attention "What do you really want Dad? If you're here to convince Soojung to drop her bid then you're just wasting your time. She will compete on that tournament and I'm training her."

"Hahaha! You?! Sooyeon, you're training your sister?! You don't have the experience needed to do that!" My blood boiled on what he said but I kept my cool and clenched my fist on my side controlling myself.

"Oh, I'm just one of her trainers Dad.." The doorbell chimed again and Amber was the one who willingly went to the door to open it.

"I have help coming so you don't have to worry about Soojung's training." I smirked at him and stood up to greet the new comer

"Mike samchon, this is a surprise. Good evening.."
"I was called here by someone and it seems you have a visitor." He smiled at me and patted Soojung's shoulder. He turned to Dad with a smile on his face "How's life Charlie? You visiting the kids?"

I saw Dad snickered and stood up to face Coach Mike. "Yeah... Just visiting. Life is good Mike. How about you? Still clinging on the memories of my wife eh? Now my daughters?"

"Cecilia is my best friend and I promised her that I will take care of her daughters."

"Best friends..." A snide remark he released from his mouth. Coach Mike was just smiling at him with both hands on his pocket. He seems amused to see Dad's reaction.

"She told me to take care of them like they're my own and I'm keeping my promise til today. I'm Soojung's new trainer by the way. I'll be assisting Sooyeon and guide her on what to do."

"You really like meddling in our family affairs Mike. You think you're their father? So much for imagining it.."

"I really do wish that I was but that's not possible. She chose you and not me, I respected that. But you didn't respect our friendship, that's your problem. Now that you dropped them, I'm here to take care of them.

"I am their father, I should be the one to do that."

"When did you become a father to them Charlie? When they are winning? When you almost made them a robot just to feed your ego? You didn't even care about your wife when she's getting weak from her sickness. You even tried to swindle your youngest!" I never seen or heard Coach Mike like this. This is the first time I saw him speaking with hate to Dad.

"Dad!" Father attacked him holding the front of his Tshirt. I see guilt in Father's eyes while looking at his sworn rival. I tried to pull Dad away from him, Soojung and Amber held Coach Mike who were just standing keeping his cool.

"You! You don't have the right to question my rights to Soojung and Sooyeon! I am their father and that will never change. I cared for my wife but she doesn't want me beside her because she despises me. You, you are the reason why she never really love me."

"Easy there Charlie... You don't want your daughters to know what happened that day. I'm happy to have ended up as their mother's best friend because in that way, I can take care of them like my own. And it's your own doing why she despised you! So don't put the blame on me Charlie, it's your fault."

So many questions in my head that I want to ask. The informations keep on swirling inside my head making me dizzy. I pulled Dad away and faced him.
"Dad, you should go. The talk is over. Soojung will continue on her training and she will compete. You can do your work on the other camp we don't care. My sister will compete and we will see your trainee in the ice rink." He straightened his jacket and shirt then raked his hand on his hair. Soojung really got his looks and the way he stares at me made me feel like a disrespectful daughter in his eyes.

"Soojung, think about what I said. Your knees will never be the same again I bet it, so just stay out of this competition and wait for next year or another Olympic qualifiers."

Amber stopped Soojung to whatever my sister will burst and retorted to my father with confidence. "Sir, with all due respect, your daughter knows her capabilities more than you do. It's her body to decide for..."

"Who are you to say that? I've been with her since she's a little kid learning how to skate! I know her weaknesses... I'm her father! " I came in between them and plead to Dad.

"Dad, just go. Please... I thought you're here to visit Soojung and me, to check on her condition. But you disappoint us again... Just go Dad."

She scoffed at me and shook his head, looked murderously at Coach Mike and Amber. She gave a look of disgust to Amber and Soojung then mumbled "Dykes." I saw Soojung stopping Amber to reach for Dad holding her shoulders and mumbling something on her ears. She took a deep breath and nodded.

I gave an apologizing look at Coach Mike and pulled Dad to the door. Nothing will make sense on this talk, never will be. Just as I opened the door, I heard Soojung calling him.

"Dad, suppose you know someone named Ailee Kim?" Dad stopped on his tracks. I saw his face turned pale then looked at me. I gave him a challenging look urging him to answer my sister. Because me too, I'm having this thoughts about Dani's connection to us.

"Tongue tied, Charlie?"

He turned back, facing me and Soojung. My sister went beside me and crossed her arms to Dad challenging him to answer the question. If he answer it positively or negatively, we will still go through with our plan.

"H-how... I-i don't know anyone named Ailee. I'm leaving.."

"She has a daughter Dad, she's 18 now.. she's the one who answered the door earlier."

Dad looked at Soojung ridiculously trying to brush off my sister. I gave him the cold look waiting for his answer. He shook his head chuckling, he can't believe his daughters are interrogating him about the past. We knew he had numerous affairs, we just don't know who are they.

"What the hell do I care if she has a daughter?! She's not mine!"

I laughed sarcastically at his outburst. He really is easy to taunt... He never changed. That's why Mom easily made him admit his infidelities.

"Dad, we're not telling you she's yours. We're just merely telling you who she is."

I'm leaving!" He turned his back on us with a guilty face and went out of the door. I closed it, leaning my back for support. I don't know why we have a father like him.

Soojung went to me and gave me a hug. I can feel her trembling with hate to the man we call Father. I need to be strong for my sister, I'm the only family she has. And if I have to marry her off to Amber so that she'll have a family of her own and live happily without our Father hovering over us, so be it. All I want is for her to be happy and to fulfill my promise to Mom that I'll take care of Soojung and make sure she's happy.

"Unnie..."

"Don't listen to Dad, okay? We'll help you on your training, Coach Mike is here. Amber is here, don't worry about what he said." I patted her head and urged her to go to Amber.

I went to Coach Mike and sat beside him in the couch. He was rubbing his face with his palm, trying to calm his self. I knew him all my life, since I was a kid. He was Mom's best friend but I didn't know that there was something more about it.

"I think I have to cancel that dinner with my friends. We have something important to talk about right now, Coach Mike?" He nodded at me and Soojung then sighed. His kind eyes darting to me and Soojung.

"Get Yuri and Dani, we're going to a place where we can quietly talk. I haven't visited there for a while...."
When she mentioned Yuri, I suddenly stood up remembering my friend. "I'll just check on Yuri coach. Soojung, Amber, please give Coach something to drink."

I went to my room and saw Dani sitting on the floor near the bathroom door. She stood up when she saw me with worry in her eyes.

"Unnie, Yuri unnie said that she wants to be alone inside the bathroom. She doesn't want to hear your father's voice that's why she closed the door. It's not locked though, maybe you can enter and get her." I hugged her and I felt a warm feeling inside me. It was like hugging Soojung, the warmth and care was there.

If Dani is proven to be the baby my father didn't acknowledge his before, it will probably change her life forever. I just don't know how she will react on the truth once it's revealed to her.

"Dani, go to your Soojung and Amber unnie, we'll leave later. I'll handle Yuri don't worry about her." She followed my orders and went out of the room. I knocked 3 times on the bathroom door and called Yuri.

"Yuri-ah.... I'm going to enter... Okay..?" I opened the door and took a peek inside. She was lying in the bath tub without water. Her eyes was closed and seems to be concentrating on something only she can answer. She opened to call me.

"Sooyeon.... Is your father gone?"

I sat at the edge of the tub near her head and caressed her face. Tracing the frown on her forehead with the tip of my finger, she opened her eyes and looked up to me. She placed the palm of my hand to her cheeks and smiled.

"I'm okay... Don't worry about me Sooyeon. When I heard his voice, I immediately went inside your room to hide. We don't want a repeat of what happened before, right?" I nodded at her and wiped the sweat on her forehead.

"He's gone, but I think he'll come back to convince Soojung again not to enter the event. He might pop up anywhere, especially in the university. I don't want you to cross paths with him, I worry for your safety... your attacks.."

She went out of the tub and stood before me, her face show concern. The Yuri in front of me now is the one I miss the most. The old Yuri with a blissful smile on her face whenever she sees me, the smile I love seeing on her back then.

She cupped my face, rubbing our noses together. We've shared a few kisses together over the months but that's just it. We still consider ourselves us just friends, even though I have frequent sleep overs on her house.

It's making me confuse, this thing we have. We're friends but we kiss. I take care of her needs and she helps me with house stuffs and goes with me when I ask her too. She treats me special but we introduce each other as friends to other people. I drive her to wherever she needed to go and cooks for her, Do-yeon and Shannon when possible.

We made out a few times in those sleepovers but she was always the one to stop and control the situation. She will hug me to sleep and the next day, it's like nothing happened. It's making me confuse and frustrated that I even dream about it at night! It was really embarrassing, Soojung saw it and she was laughing at me rolling in my bed after my long cold shower.

Amber told her about my teasing before and I know that 2 idiots are planning something. I'll get them first before it happens.

She connected our lips and it was slow, gentle. The fireworks are still there, it was never gone. The feelings was still the same, what I feel is still the same.

Somewhere in the back of my mind while her kiss deepens, my heart was hoping that maybe someday Yuri will realize that we still have the chance to be happy again.
