Chapter 48
On the Brink of InsanityLater that afternoon, Kibum was laying propped up in bed with a few pillows behind him. He’d been awake for awhile now, Heechul had gave him two painkillers instead of another sleeping pill so they could talk. The house eerily silent but Kibum knew that his brothers had left for the week and Leeteuk had taken Henry to go get Mir and hang out for awhile. So it was only him and Heechul home.
Kibum yawned softly. While the painkillers did pretty well with numbing his body, they made him feel pretty drowsy. He looked over at Heechul who was watching him silently. He wished Heechul would say something before he started to fall asleep again. There were a million things they could be talking about and yet they were sitting in silence. Not that Kibum minded, he just wanted to hear Heechul’s voice for a little while. I guess I’ll have to start the conversation.
“Hyung,” Kibum said, finally breaking the silence.
“Yes, Kibum?” Heechul answered with a million questions in his mind. Was Kibum hungry? Was he cold? Were the stitches bothering him again? Did the painkiller start to wear off? Did he need to use the bathroom? He wanted Kibum to be completely comfortable, even though that wasn’t entirely possible. Who would be comfortable when they had their stomach cut open and nerves sliced through and were sent home from the hospital the same day?
Kibum was silent for a moment, quickly trying to think of something to say. But what he said was a complete mistake and he hadn’t meant to come out of his mouth.
“I think the blood medicine wore off. I want drugs again,” He blurted out.
Heechul stared at him for a second before nodding.
“I know, I already figured that out. I’ll give you some later tonight, okay? After the painkiller wears off, I don’t want to risk another situation like the hospital,” Heechul told him. He’d already informed Kib
