Kibum stood by the window watching as she danced around happily in the back yard, frolicking through the flowers without a care in the world. He couldn’t keep the smile off his face as he watched her twirl around and laugh that beautiful, sweet tingling giggle of hers.

“Oppa! I’m a princess! I’m a dancing princess!”

Kibum nodded his head at her so she would know that he was listening.

She always had his full attention; Kibum couldn’t get enough of her.

“Dayeun, don’t dirty your dress sweetie.”

She glanced over at him and smiled, showing off her missing front teeth.

“Okay, oppa! I’m making you something, don’t look!” Her sweet voice was music to his ears.

But he closed his eyes.

Kibum opened his eyes and blinked away the tears that had formed while he was sleeping.

Another dream.

That was all she was now.

It seemed that was all she ever was.
