Chapter 34

Youngest of Pieces: Girls Power (10)

The band starts to play the song [Man! I Feel Like a Woman] that is both in the repackage album in Korea and was released for 5 Pieces’ Japanese mini drama last year, so by the sound of that song the audience starts cheering again, knowing a second encore is coming.

“I’m glad you wished it wasn’t over,” Emelia says in the microphone to their fans and the stadium roars out as the music keeps playing and 5 Pieces appears on light feet, one by one starting the performance of [Man! I Feel Like A Woman].

[Maria] *Let's go girls!

[Emelia] Come on*

The melody is really catchy to this Shania Twain cover and Hannah is feeling sassy walking at the front as she starts to sing;

*I'm going out tonight-I'm feelin' alright

Gonna let it all hang out

Wanna make some noise-really raise my voice

Yeah, I wanna scream and shout

[Carolina] Ah

No inhibitions-make no conditions

Get a little outta line

[Emelia] I ain't gonna act politically correct

I only wanna have a good time*

Her eye-smile must be big when singing because of the purple ocean and she is moving to the beat, doing the same thing she did a year ago in Japan and she can’t stop smiling when singing, continuing to play with her members to the simple choreography. When singing ‘gonna let it all hang out’ she pulls out the shirt from her shorts and receives wild cheering. The ladies are really enjoying the song, the five of them smiling at each other and doing fan-service, really having fun for one of the last songs of the day’s concert.

[Maria] *The best thing about being a woman

Is the prerogative to have a little fun*

[All] *Oh, oh, oh, [Carolina] go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts

Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style

Oh, oh, oh, get in the action-feel the attraction

Color my hair-do what I dare

Oh, oh, oh, [Maria] I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel

[Carolina] Man! I feel like a woman!*

Hannah leans towards Carolina at the end of the chorus when she sings ‘man, I feel like a woman’ and Carolina nods at her as if singing it with Hannah agreeing and then they are almost laughing following Maria’s verse, the ladies in a line taking steps to the side in synch to the music.

[Maria] *The girls need a break-tonight we're gonna take

The chance to get out on the town

[Julia] We don't need romance-we only wanna dance

We're gonna let our hair hang down*

For Julia’s part when she sings ‘we only wanna dance’ the ladies take on some strange dancing for the fun of it.

Hannah is ready to sing when her part comes, putting her hand to her hip for a second and looking serious, smiling slightly when singing when Julia and then the chorus comes and she is in full smiles jumping and dancing to the song, loving the simple choreography and just going wild with it, ruffling her hair and whatnot.

[Hannah] *The best thing about being a woman

[+ Julia] Is the prerogative to have a little fun*

[All] *Oh, oh, oh, [Hannah] go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts

Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style

Oh, oh, oh, get in the action-feel the attraction

Color my hair-do what I dare

Oh, oh, oh, [Maria] I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel

[Hannah] Man! I feel like a woman!*

[Maria] *Uh-huh*

[Carolina] *Oh yeah, the best thing about being a woman

Is the prerogative to have a little fun (fun) fun*

[All] *Oh, oh, oh, [Emelia] go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts

Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style

Oh, oh, oh, [Julia] get in the action-feel the attraction

Color my hair-do what I dare

Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel

[Emelia] Man! I feel like a woman!*

*Wo! Oh! Oh!

Uh uh yeah yeah

I get totally crazy

[Maria + Carolina] Can you feel it

Come, come, come on baby

Ho! Ho! ho!

[Maria] I feel like a woman*

The ladies are just moving around strangely for the last verse, jumping down from the stage to walk round among the fans.

Hannah stops moving when Maria finishes the song, she blinks innocently at the fans in front of her, being at the same height as their fans standing in the path between the sections and she smiles widely when the band starts playing the next song right away.

“This is the last one, everyone,” Hannah says as the ballad song [The Rainbows Colours] starts to play, confetti and balloons starts falling down from the ceiling. The song is from their Black & White album 2012, a song written to their fans.

Maria and Carolina do their high note battle at the start of the song, and Hannah is totally immersed in their voices while she lowers her head to the fans, seeing everyone up close and she gets to shake hands and thank a few for coming. Emelia starts to sing. Hannah makes sure to follow the song, but she wants to make it personal for the fans she walks by too.

She points at a fan who is crying and jumping, reaching out towards Hannah and the purple-haired lady steps closer to take her hand.

“Why are you crying?” Hannah asks, leaning closer to hear while the girl is hiding behind her other hand. Her hands are all sweaty, or it could be tears.

“You,” is all the girl says – at least that is what Hannah hears – and Hannah smiles at the girl, leaning a bit closer to say;

“You make me tear up too,” she says and laughs when leaning away, hearing the fans scream at her words.

There are actually a lot of fans crying. Hannah takes a few steps and then points at a fan a few people behind others, pointing at her own eyes to say with hand motions she can see the fan is crying and Hannah goes around doing a heart-shape with her hands before she joins in to sing for the chorus. She can see placards held up, pictures or videos are taken, a lot of people just want to touch her hand, and she looks at a little girl singing along to the song, being carried by someone who looks to be her father and Hannah gives the girl a high-five.

Two foreigners, maybe a couple; the girl has purple hair like Hannah and the boy is wearing a headband where it reads ‘Julia’, but the best part with these crying pair is the placard they are holding up that reads ‘music without limits’ and Hannah starts jumping when she sees it, turning to the one filming for the big screens to ask him to film that part. Hannah hides her smile behind her hand when she starts to cry, bowing to the fans and then she continues to walk, wiping the tears that suddenly don’t want to be held in anymore.

Meeting her halfway is Julia and they both smiles widely when seeing they are both crying. Just as Hannah’s part is about to begin the two girls walks up to each other in an embrace, and Hannah leans her head away to sing, her voice shaky but strong and she keeps crying feeling Julia move back and forth to the music before they lean away from each other. Julia takes Hannah’s hand to walk in a third direction, Julia sings her part and Hannah waves her microphone to their fans before she sings with Julia the line adlib ‘*you are here to shine me up~*’.

The ladies walk around, saying their final goodbye to their fans while singing the ballad, singing and crying all together and hearing the filled stadium crying with them. Hannah runs past the stage to get time to meet some more fans, reaching up to some people before she bows around and hurries back to the stage where the ladies are gathering at the end of the song.

They don’t want it to end, but the song comes to an end and the band continues to play the soft instrumental of the song for the ladies to say their final words.

“Carolina,” Hannah starts off saying when she finds her voice, swallowing her tears, “Could you start saying a few words?”

The audience whines loudly while Hannah translates her Japanese words to Korean for the lady, though Carolina knows what she asks as thety have rehearsed it but their minds are just completely blurred. Carolina is staring out with teary eyes. She had cried during the song, but when getting up on the stage she drank some water and calmed down – but to have the mascot crying makes Hannah tear up anew. Maria is walking around a bit on the stage, crying, and Emelia is just staring out at their purple ocean with tears rolling down her face, Julia is holding on to Emelia’s hand and Hannah is pouting looking at Carolina standing on her left.

“It makes me sad,” Carolina says in Japanese with a pout, the audience screaming as they agree and Carolina continues in Korean; “It has been such a great time, to perform with everyone. It was the first time performing most of the songs too so I was nervous for that, but … everything was really super fun. Thank you, really thank you so much.”

Hannah clears her voice and spaces out a bit to collect the words before she translates what Carolina just said, her lips smiling but her eyes crying when hearing the fans thanking the ladies back after Carolina’s words.

“Maria…” Julia whispers, holding out her other hand to the lady behind them and Maria steps up to take her place next to Carolina, wiping her tears with her hands and apologizing to the fans for how she looks.

“I love performing in Japan,” Maria starts to say in Japanese and she laughs helplessly when their fans cheer on that, and she says in English; “I’m happy you feel me” to then continue in Korean, taking a deep breath and mumbles something before remembering what she had thought of saying; “Tokyo Dome has always been a dream for me and it is beyond anything I thought I would feel standing here and I am thrilled to have performed here with the ladies who I love, and I look forward to the next concerts and to continue this tour around Asia. T-” she gets quiet and motions for Hannah to translate, in the midst of emotions making them laugh as she had really gotten into the speech when interrupting herself. It is thoughtful of her to not say way too much because Hannah is trying to remember it all. After being translated, Maria continues in Japanese; “Thank you all for coming.”

Hannah smiles at the lack of words, as she had expected to become a translator, expecting Maria to have a long speech for their fans after this concert, but hopefully their fans will know more than their words can ever say; how do you even express this? Hannah is overwhelmed, more than overwhelmed. They have had so many concerts, but Tokyo Dome has been out of their reach, something they have had on their list to do as 5 Pieces.

Emelia is next, not wiping her tear she gets ready to talk in japanese: “Um… As 5 Pieces we have gotten to tour around quite a lot by now and we have visited a lot of places that have moved us very deeply. But I think because our fans in Japan have always welcomed us warmly and we have spent a lot of time together, especially last year, I think we make this time now more precious. We have been excited to come to Japan and start off our GIRLS POWER tour with all of you here today and I think today could not have been more precious than what you all have made it. There are a lot of people who have worked on this tour and we are deeply thankful to each and every one of them, but most of all we are thankful for our fans that live this dream with us. Thank you, for finding all the pieces to this puzzle. And thank you for tonight. Tokyo Dome, thank you!”

Julia pats Emelia on the back when the rapper claps her hand and lowers her head, embarrassed for the tears covering her face, and Hannah looks at Julia who looks back before Julia takes the word in Korean;

“It is our first time performing for so many people,” she starts saying and pauses to not choke up, looking out at the fans, “it is incredible to perform for all of you, to see this large place shine in your light and hear you sing along to our music. This… Uh, I am really sorry for crying so much tonight, but I got all choked up during the last song when it actually hit me that it is the last song and I saw the ladies were crying and our fans were crying … Either way, thank you for tonight. And let’s meet again tomorrow.”

Hannah is breathing calmly, looking completely lost and Emelia leans forward to see why she isn’t translating.

“What was that word?” Hannah whispers to the two ladies on her right, and Emelia smiles when they whisper about it.

“I’m sorry everyone, Hannah’s Korean is lacking,” Emelia apologizes to the crowd and Hannah bows to apologize too.

She didn’t know the Korean word ‘choked up’, and once she start translating Julia is whispering next to her what words she really have to add up in the translation, humouring the audience. After translating Hannah apologizes again before going quiet, having Carolina remind that it is her turn and Hannah nods, looking out at their fans when trying to remember anything that has not been said. It is hard.

“It is a great honour to perform at Tokyo Dome for 5 Pieces’ concert and like we have said, it is all thanks to all of our fans devotion that we are standing here today,” Hannah is saying in Japanese, “so everything we have, we thank you for. I had such a great time today and I hope you all have felt the same. The concert might have come to an end, but we will leave for now with unforgettable memories and we will meet each other more and more times like this in the future. Puzzle, you are definitely the best audience in the world. Thank you all for coming here tonight and enjoying this concert with us. Be safe on your way home! Pieces of one-”

“We are 5 Pieces!” the ladies calls out and take their hands to lift them up in the air and bow.

And this time the stadium fills out the ending with a beautiful; “And Puzzle!”

Hannah starts crying again, keeping her back bent in the bow and she somehow knows the ladies are all starting to cry again. When standing up straight, Carolina lifts their hands up for them to bow another time, and the sight of the purple ocean – 55,000 people – before her hair falls between like a curtain makes Hannah let go of Julia’s hand to try wiping her tears. Julia is the one who has comforted Emelia on the stage, and now she puts her hand on Hannah’s back as well.

“Thank you!”

This time when getting of the stage, they have no encores prepared. Hannah can not understand how much her tears are rolling down her cheeks, she is both happy and sad over the concert, and though they have two more concerts left at Tokyo Dome it feels like they have gotten close and familiar with the audience that came today. Hannah turns around a final time to wave and bow before disappearing off the stage with her members.

A staff touches her hand to take the microphone and Hannah mumbles a ‘thank you’ and lowers her head, hiding her face behind hair and hands, letting a hand on her back guide her.

It is Manager Lee’s voice she hears next to her when he says there are stairs in front of her and Hannah peeks out behind her fingers, mumbling that she can’t stop crying and he leans closer to ask what she said but she just shakes her head with the tears falling like crazy.

Then it hits her that Kyung Ho will be backstage and she stops so abruptly that Carolina behind her knocks her head on Manager Lee’s arm.

“What is it?” Manager Lee asks, suddenly sounding worried and Hannah just whines, stepping to the side to not be in the way and she is given napkins to wipe her tears.

“Kyung Ho can’t see me like this,” she complaints.

“He isn’t backstage,” Manager Lee tells her, his hand on her shoulder as if he is worried she will disappear otherwise. He watches Carolina walk by them and sees Maria sitting down some meters behind to try take off her shoes while wiping her tears. “He has watched the concert, remember? He won’t be back yet.”

With his words Hannah decides to walk to their dressing-room, wiping her tears and she knows when they are near the room because there are dancers and choreographers and staff applauding and congratulating the ladies. Before she knows it she is being hugged by their crew, everyone saying they did well and Hannah can hear Emelia half crying/laughing when in English telling their American choreographers that they often look like this after a concert, too filled with emotions and exhaustion to do better than crying.

By the time Kyung Ho comes, Hannah has gotten help from the stylist to fix her make-up from the crying and Hannah can lift Kyung Ho up in a hug.

The first hour it is celebration over the successful concert, everyone walking around hugging and congratulating each other, photos are taken and they are just calming down from the concert.

For the second hour and a half they are going through things with their teachers and choreographers to do better tomorrow, and the third hour the ladies head out to eat dinner with Kyung Ho and their backstage crew of managers and stylists. They tell everyone to sleep and rest for tomorrow before leaving, knowing that if everyone had gone out to eat together they would be up too late and not do well tomorrow. But the feelings and emotions from the concert doesn’t die out over the night, the ladies are restless and exhausted at the same time and they are just going crazy, bluntly screaming in the excitement that they will do the same thing tomorrow.

During Saturday morning, Hannah spends time with Kyung Ho and Tiger, not doing anything special other than going out for breakfast – Emelia goes with them – and they are focused on being with Kyung Ho for now because once everyone gathers at Tokyo Dome, it is time to be professional.

They go through things from yesterday, they are busy looking online at the fans reactions on the concert – which they did last night too when they went out to eat but now there are countless of pictures and comments and responses online – and the focus is just on the concert. Kyung Ho is sitting in the dressing-room with Tiger, practicing lines or playing with the kitten or playing games. The response about the concert is brilliant; it is amazing and flawless. Not a single bad thing, no comments about bad singing or bad stage presence, even their crying was commented to be ‘the most emotional moment in a fan’s history’ and there are articles written in the most famous international blog pages or magazines saying that 5 Pieces’ GIRLS POWER tour will blow your mind and that the Tokyo Dome start was 5 Pieces’ biggest step as musicians. To entertain a total of 55,000 people with completely full-live performances, with a variety of stages and deep personal views – SM Entertainment gave a call to say it is the best review a concert has received in a long time. They are receiving a lot of offers for 5 Pieces to widen the tour, to add concerts and to make appearances and whatnot.

Today during lunch, after having a long meeting about the concert and articles and feedback, the ladies step outside to meet their fans. It wasn’t planned until they came up with it ten minutes earlier and had security follow them out for the ladies to personally talk with some fans and hear their thoughts and expectations, to figure out what fans there are today. It is short, super short, but the ladies are happy and the fans are happy; more excited for the concert.

Backstage it is crazy. It is absolutely insane the whole day. Because yesterday went so well they are excited to start the second day, going around to randomly shouting at each other and laugh and hug. A second day at Tokyo Dome – they can’t help but to go a little insane. Members of FT Island is there today, visiting them backstage after the ladies have done a few interviews and taking too much cake than necessary but because they are friends, Maria allows them. They are given advice about the concert too, and Honggi wants them to come to his new musical. Hannah has already planned on going when he mentioned it last time, and since she at keeping secrets she lets him know that she is going. Carolina is fast to say she can’t go because she is going to Korea to plan her solo debut – putting the focus on her to boast about her self-made songs and all that, even having Emelia boast a bit for her.

Half an hour before the concert the ladies start telling each other to not cry. Even in Japanese; don’t cry. They tell each other before going up on stage too; don’t cry like yesterday. Sure the fans loved it, but the pictures that have come out are dreadful and the ladies have kept telling each other to not cry. KAT-TUN member Kamenashi Kazuya is here today too, as he worked with Emelia for a drama a while back, and they took a picture backstage no matter how nervous the ladies are. There are a lot of famous people here today too, but all those people are gone from the ladies thoughts once the concert begins – the concert is about 5 Pieces and their fans.

Though they were so strong about not crying, talking about it before the concert, Hannah smiles feeling her self choking up after a few songs: It is crazy how the purple ocean makes them feel. The fans are just as devoted to the concert and songs today as they were yesterday, and the ladies gives all their energy to please them, to have a great time today too. They do better today, just because they have experienced this once now, and they are more aware of things they need to focus on like when changing clothes and where to be on the stage. They are more focused, yet they are able to enjoy it more rather than thinking of what to do and when to do it. The talks are more smoothly too; more Japanese is used, the ladies are giving even more fan-service as they are enjoying the concert easier and it seems to be a better day, though yesterday’s emotions were more messed up because of the nervousness to begin the tour. Today they are also nervous because now they have to live up to yesterday’s concert, but at the end of the concert they realise the fans are happy just knowing the ladies are enjoying the stage and having fun – the audience have fun when 5 Pieces have fun.

The second day is amazing.

And to follow that up, everyone is preparing to use their last energy for the third day.

Sunday is just as insane, everyone is celebrating during the day between the focus on doing a great third concert. It is the last day, meaning there is pressure to do well today too. They are filming and taking pictures backstage, all of those in the crew are having a blast shouting at each other backstage that it is five hours left – four hours left – three hours left – two hours left – one hour left – and someone is joking when shouting it is 37 seconds left when it is 37 minutes left so some others are freaking out just by the thought that it soon will be 37 seconds. But the mood is great; everyone is jumping before the concert and going crazy doing their cheer.

Kyung Ho will be backstage today, like he was yesterday, sitting with Tiger in the dressing-room. He has had a great weekend; he actually enjoys spending time with the people here even if they are busy. He has been running around on the stage during the day’s rehearsals and he is playing a lot with the crew during the days.

On the stage, 5 Pieces are doing what they love the most. Jumping, cheering, singing, dancing, playing on the stage with their fans singing along and enjoying the stage; it doesn’t matter what kind of song the sing, their fans know every line in every song that has to do with 5 Pieces – no matter what language it is.

After singing their ballads the ladies have a blast with their soul remix of [Oppa] to then run around and spread out all over the place for [Diamond]. After three days in high heels, they surely are exhausted though it can’t be seen.

Hannah’s legs are completely weak when she comes backstage during Carolina and Maria’s solo. She sits down without any shoes when she has changed and she sits there having their trainer making her do exercises to keep her back from hurting too much and she is just calming herself down for the third segment of the concert – with the encore being one segment they have five segments in total, meaning they have done half the concert about now since the encore is quite long. She waves her legs underneath her and gets ready when their GIRLS POWER segment is about to begin. The ladies are so focused when starting the segment, having a blast hearing the audience go completely crazy as they perform [Girls Power].

They do everything perfectly. The graceful hands, the sassy legs, the y eyes, their practiced singing and choreography; everything is going as it should. Yet Hannah can feel herself getting more and more nervous, her eyes glancing down a little bit more to keep track on the chair and where she puts her feet. She keeps her posture and focus, breathing out when it is not her part and staying confused to why she is feeling nervous.

They are dancing at the front of the stage, all female dancers with them for [Girls Power], singing the chorus and dancing. She can feel her legs being shaky, as if all strength is leaving her legs in the high heels. She turns around to head further back with the others to let the verse after chorus begin, thinking it isn’t much left of the song, and when turning around, her right heel folds to the side and her whole leg follows so she looses her balance, falling back on a female dancer standing a little on the side behind her. While the dancer catches her in surprise, they stood on such a distance that Hannah still falls on the stage.

Ashamed and hoping no one will see it on the smokey stage, Hannah pulls up her legs to try get up but gives out a soundless cry.

“You okay?” the female dancer squats down behind her, as she has kept Hannah from falling on her back so she just fell on her .

“My leg hurts,” Hannah answers, the tears starting to well up in the pain and she gets such a shock that she starts to turn away from the front, “Can you help me get off.”

The female dancer doesn’t hesitate to try help her up, and quickly there is a staff member running up from the side to help Hannah off the stage. The dancer is back in the song, mouthing to the others one by one that Hannah is hurt, letting the ladies hear it. The song continues, slowly they get aware of Hannah not being on the stage and they work hard to not let it show.

Meanwhile, Hannah is in complete shock getting half-carried down the stage, not even aware of the tears falling like a flood down her cheeks.

Manager Lim is quickly there, asking if she can breathe because she is just gaping and her chest is shaking. They sit her down on a chair and Hannah covers with her hand, her arms shaking and she gives out a cry, a staff says in Japanese that she hurt her leg and she really tries to say to her manager in the language he understands that she can’t move her leg but all that comes out are more tears and cries. Manager Lee and Kawayama is quickly there too, a nurse as well and there are stylists touching Hannah’s face, wishing she could stop crying but Hannah only cries more when the nurse tries to bend her leg. Manager Lim caresses her arm, sitting next to her and having a lot of people surrounding them.

“I don’t think it’s broken,” the nurse eventually says and receives complaints from the managers, because they need to know if she can go back up on the stage or not.

She has to go back up on the stage, Hannah can feel her insides going back up on the stage, but she doesn’t move an inch. She can’t bend her knee; she doesn’t think it’s broken either, but it hurts so much that she can’t move it.

Without knowing what is being said around her she can feel several hands taking a hold of her, voices talking to her, and before she knows it she is being carried on Manager Lee’s back, a towel on his shoulder that she can cry on and she knows she is not going up on the stage while she can’t really set her mind on that knowledge.

She is carried out to the van, having a staff and two security help her in the car, a jacket is put around her and they are soon out on the road to get to the hospital.

On the stage they interrupt the song [The Best] when Maria is on the side of the stage, being told of the outcome. Emelia walks over to them, Julia comes over too and some dancers before they walk back out on the stage to announce to their confused fans that Hannah has hurt her leg and probably won’t join them for the end of the concert – they apologize a few times and then asks their fans to help them out to finish the concert, saying Hannah will feel bad if they don’t do their best. After a lot of words being said, they continue with the concert. It is weird and confusing even for the ladies as they are only four, and there is a piece missing for the songs they sing.

But they pull through, coming to the encore when they are backstage and finding out Hannah is back from the hospital. No leg broken, but she has been told to not walk for a few days as her knee was twisted; bending her leg is painful.

Hannah is behind the stage, holding in her tears seeing her members on the stage doing the concert without her. Her leg is still hurting even if she is still, she has gotten painkillers but it still hurts and she wants to be on the stage so badly. She can only pout and look at the dancers longingly when they are preparing to go up on the stage for their last song, [Black & White].

“Can’t we carry you up during the talk?” Shiwon suggests, “It is painful for us to see you just sit here.”

At the thought of apologizing to everyone, Hannah looks up at her manager, tearing up and blinking at him.

“You can’t go up there,” he says.

“I need to apologize,” Hannah whispers.

“It’s the last day at Tokyo Dome,” female dancer Ri Bae adds. “And we have strong people helping her up. We won’t drop her.”

“Oh, that’s reassuring,” Manager Lim sighs.

“Appa, please,” Hannah whispers, grabbing his hand, “Please, pretty please.”

He looks at her, really considering it. He then turns away and Hannah opens to beg, but he calls for a stylist to come fix her make-up.

The dancers hurry up on the stage for their last song, and Hannah is preparing herself. What to say? Can she even stand up at all?

When [Black & White] comes to an end, the ladies on the stage starts talking and introducing their crew. As soon as the dancers have been introduced, some of them get off the stage to come get Hannah.

The fans start screaming first and 5 Pieces turns around, cheering as they see one dancer piggybacking Hannah with a second dancer behind them. Hannah is still in the [Girls Power] outfit, and the guilt hits her when she receives such a welcome. They had forgotten the microphone. When reaching her members, being on the dancer’s back, another dancer comes jogging with a chair for her to sit down and Hannah is put down on the chair, careful of her leg that hurts painfully, but she does her best to not show it.

When the strong Eun Dae has made sure she is sitting down after putting her down he steps to the side, receiving a pat by Emelia for bringing Hannah up, and Hannah can see the purple ocean before them. She starts crying right away when she wants to apologize and Carolina leans down to hug her.

“Whoa, don’t cry,” Emelia sighs and then hits Maria on the arm, “Captain, don’t you cry either.”

Maria just shakes her head, not wanting to say she cries because she had been worried for their youngest, especially knowing how people say Japan means a lot for Hannah because she worked alone here for several months and that she has had such a pressure to be the front face of 5 Pieces in Japan – and now she couldn’t even perform with them for the last hour.

“Baby,” Maria cries, “We missed you.”

The fans are crying and a dancer comes up with napkins to the ladies, Emelia says that the fans were very worried about Hannah.

Maria gives Hannah her microphone to let her say her things, knowing she didn’t come up just to cry. Hannah calms herself first before she bows as much as she can in the chair.

“I’m sorry,” she whispers in Japanese, a try to not sound like she is crying all too much. “I’m really sorry for not completing the concert with everyone and for making you worry. I’m deeply sorry…”

Maria is caressing her back, seeing the fans crying and she smiles proudly hearing the fans call out that it is okay.

“I just heard,” Emelia says, the dancers standing behind them, “that Hannah was backstage crying and longing to end our last Tokyo Dome concert together with everyone. She feels very bad for not being able to do that so … everyone, can we all tell Hannah to feel better and we can meet again next time? 3, 2, 1-”

“Feel better soon!” the audience cheers, waving their hands in the air.

“Because Hannah won’t join us, could our Japanese representation please say a few words about our Tokyo Dome concert?” Emelia suggests and while the pressure is put on her, she smiles having three more microphones put in front of her, the ladies fooling around to lighten up the mood.

“Um… These past days have been incredibly amazing, thank you all for coming to our concerts and …” Hannah starts saying but pauses to laugh when the tears are coming back, the ladies in Japanese telling her to not cry. “I am sorry for not being able to finish the concert today but the members must’ve done really well without me so I hope you are not disappointed. Um… Thank you everyone.”

“Eeeeh, our baby,” Maria is happily embracing Hannah’s head. “You have gotten shorter.”

Emelia translates for the fans, making them laugh and someone is heard shouting at Maria to back off, making Maria drop her arms in surprise.

“Who dares tell me to back off from our important piece?” Maria asks and puts a hand to her hip, making them laugh with her serious attitude but you can so tell she is messing with the one who told her to back off. “This lady right here is my baby and I hug her however I want, when she allows me to. So that’s how it is. Don’t tell me that… Next time I might actually believe you.”

She ends it with a pout, surprising a lot of people and Hannah pats her on the .

Though Hannah can’t join in on the last encore, they take a picture all together on the stage with the fans behind them and after that, it still seems to go well. She was carried backstage too, transported on Eun Dae’s back off the stage to Manager Lee’s back to go to the dressing-room where their stylists comes before the last two songs are sung for the last encore, and she gets help to change clothes while Kyung Ho is whining around the corner of her being irresponsible and making them worry and that Tiger was crying and that he was worried and that she should never wear high heels again. Their stylists are actually shocked hearing the little boy lecturing Hannah, and he continues in a sad town when she gets to sit down in the sofa, continuing until she opens her arms to give him a hug.

“I’m sorry,” Hannah whispers in his ear, the exhaustion hitting her. Her eyes are swollen, she is teary and she is sleepy, just holding her arms around him feels like overworking her arms. “I’m sorry for not being careful, Kyung Ho.”

He nods in her arms, pouting as he is about to cry.

When the ladies come backstage the mood is still good. Hannah cries when they give her attention and she feels bad hearing them talk about having to continue the concert without her, how weird it felt for them and how their fans had asked about her several times.

She can’t even come to the after dinner party with everyone, so Hannah is sent to the hotel with Tiger while everyone else goes out to celebrate the concert. The worst part is that most of them are going back to Korea after this, while Hannah and Manager Lee are staying to go to Honggi’s musical tomorrow – yes, she is still going even if she has hurt her leg, because she promised him and she tells everyone she will be much better tomorrow.

Long in on the night her members come back to the hotel. Not just her members but the dancers and band members too, the stylists and a lot of people wants to come check in on Hannah and tell her how great the weekend has been and wish her to feel better next time they see each other. Most of them are heading to the airport now, which was why they had to go get their things at the hotel first. But for Hannah to lie in her hotel-room, barely able to move because of the pain in her leg, and to suddenly have a bunch of happy half-drunken people come in being completely exhausted and in cute moods, makes her feel worse for not having fun with them. Tiger was hiding when the people came, not wanting to come out from her travel crate and no one seemed to even know she was there.

It is the loneliest night she has felt in a long time, not even wanting to check her phone after sending text messages to her worried boyfriend and friends. She just lies in bed, unable to sleep and unable to really do anything.

She doesn’t want Monday to come.

X. devonalias - I realise it must be very confusing with the lyrics put up like this, the way I do it for concerts. I am working on improving the INFO Corner and update it... Dunno how to do though because AF doesn't want to change colours? I don't know how this site works, my story comes out pretty bland because of my lack of knowledge... sorry for that. We'll see if I can find a way to make things work ^^,
