“Where are you?”

“I’m here.”

“Where?”

“In front of the cinema?”

“I cannot see you!”

“Are you wearing pink blouse?”

“Yes?”

“Please turn around.”

Jessica turned and found Taeyeon hiding behind a tree. She was wearing hideous clothes with a black cap that covered her forehead and half of her eyes.

“What the hell.”

“How can you not see me?”

“Excuse me, you’re too short and why are you wearing black? Are we watching a funeral or something?”

Taeyeon was somehow affected by Soo Young. No matter how hard she tried to forget and move on, but her heart was too broken to get over him. So she let herself be and it led to something disastrous like this.

“I’m going to kill that jerk.”

“You don’t have to do that.”

“You don’t have to feel sorry for him.”

“Jessica, please don’t make a huge fuss over this. I’ll get over this. I just need to leave the country and everything will be fine.”

“You’re leaving in two days time. So hang in there. And stop wearing like a black widow! You’re not even married yet!”

Taeyeon stuck her tongue out. The girl was wearing baggy black jeans and oversized black t-shirt. Tiffany finally reached with Yul behind her. Jessica felt awkward. She found out about Yul liking her but Yul was keeping cool about it.

“You don’t have to feel so awkward each time we meet.”

“I don’t know what to say.”

“Then don’t say or think. I’m fine. I’ve found my love.”

Jessica smiled as Yul hugged Tiffany from behind. Even Taeyeon was compelled to smile. Her best friend has finally found her happiness.

“Don’t be so cheesy!”

“Well, you like it.”

“Yes, but my friends may cringe at your cheesiness.”

“They seem happy about it.”

“Not really, my toes are curling.”

“Jessica, you can be so sweet and mean at the same time.”

“Is that the reason why you fell for me?”

“Um, actually you’re right.”

“AHEM!”

Tiffany was glaring at her boyfriend and the guy just stuck his tongue out.

“I love you, Tiffany. I fell for you slowly and gradually. And now I’m stuck with you.”

“God, Tiffany. Do you have to be so jealous?”

“What if Yoong confessed he had a crush on me right in front of you, how would you feel?”

“That’s easy. I’ll kill him immediately.”

“Wow.”

Yul pretended to shudder in fear. Jessica smacked him on his back and Tiffany pinched his cheeks.

“You’re not allowed to bully Jessica.”

“What? I’m not even close to that!”

“You’re not allowed to flirt and bully her.”

Yul pouted his lips.

“Women are just so unfair.”

The girls giggled and Jessica saw the cuter side of Yul. He always been so quiet but now his face was shining so brightly. It must be love.

“Okay, I’m leaving her in your hands. You sure you don’t need to pick you up?”

“I’ll be with them. I should be fine.”

“Okay then. Call me when you’re home, okay?”

“Yes baby.”

“I’m leaving then. Bye girls!”

“Bye Yul!”

Yul gave a soft kiss on Tiffany’s forehead and left the girls alone. Tiffany was watching him as he slowly disappeared from her view. She sighed softly when he was completely gone.

“What? Don’t tell me you miss him already?”

“I miss him all the time.”

“Oh my god, my toes are curling really!”

“Oh come on, Jessica! Yoong’s as romantic as him, right?”

“Well, Yoong didn’t offer to send me here. At least Yul picked you up from work and dropped you off here.”

“Yoong has competitions coming up. You told him not to bother about you.”

“And he really doesn’t bother at all.”

“Stop acting like a kid. I’m sure he’s thinking of you too.”

The two were bickering about their boyfriends and Taeyeon just looked on. She felt envious that they have a chance to complain about their boyfriends. She had none.

“You girls are so lucky to have them. They love you.”

Jessica and Tiffany stopped and turned to meet Taeyeon’s eyes. They were downcast.

“We’re sorry. We’re supposed to cheer you up.”

“It’s okay. I’ll be fine.”

“Stop saying that, Taeyeon. I know you’re just pretending that everything will be alright.”

Tiffany knew Taeyeon’s heart better. They were really close back in school.

“He doesn’t like me that way. I cannot force on him.”

“Then forget about him. Move on.”

“That’s why I’m so eager to leave. Maybe 2-3 months in UK can help me to re-focus.”

Tiffany nodded and hugged her best friend. Jessica wrapped her arms around the two girls.

“We love you, Taeyeon. I’m sure you’ll be fine.”

Taeyeon nodded.

Soo Young, on the other hand, was slowly losing his mind. He just couldn’t concentrate at his studio and kept making mistakes. Taeyang was furious.

“What’s wrong with you?”

“Hm?”

“Why are you pressing all the wrong buttons?”

“What did I do?”

“You’re supposed to record not stop it!”

Soo Young was surprised when the recording has stopped and Hyorin was glaring at him from the recording studio. She was extremely furious. This was the fifth time Soo Young made a mistake.

“What’s the ing wrong with you?”

Hyorin screamed as soon as she got out from the studio.

“I’m sorry. You want to take a break?”

“You’re not your usual self. Where is your playfulness?”

Soo Young sat there quietly. Taeyang knew the reason why but he too kept his mouth shut.

“If you don’t wish to help me, you can just tell me.”

“Look, I’m just tired. I’ll let Taeyang take over.”

Soo Young got up on his feet but Hyorin blocked his path. She stood in front of him and looked up into his eyes. Soo Young looked away.

“Why aren’t you looking at me anymore?”

Hyorin cupped his cheeks with her hands. She pulled his face to align with hers. Soo Young followed her lead but the moment he looked into her eyes, he could see someone else instead. And that somebody was crying. He pushed Hyorin away.

“What the , Soo Young?”

“Don’t come near me.”

“Why did you push me away?”

“We’re no longer together. We have broken up years ago.”

“Are you still mad at me for that?”

“Don’t I have the right to do that?”

Soo Young was tearing up. His heart was completely broken when Hyorin broke up with him. He has never told anyone how he felt because he kept them deep down inside. But now, the villain has re-appeared and his heart was torn open.

“You left me for him. You told me; right in my face; that I don’t have the means to support you. I don’t have the means to make you a super star but he could. So now you’re a superstar, you got your man and you have everything in this world so why did you come back for me?”

Hyorin’s eyes were red and wet. Taeyang and Hara were surprised at Soo Young’s sudden outburst. They have always thought that Soo Young was more level-headed and cooler than a cucumber but they were wrong. He was hurting.

Yul was around too. He was stunned as well. He knew Soo Young was hurting but he didn’t expect him to be hurting so badly.

“What do I have now that you attempted to ease your way into my life? You’re just tearing my heart open and the wound bled once again. I couldn’t think straight anymore. I’m so confused right now. Why are you here, Hyorin? Tell me, what do you want from me?”

“I’m sorry. I know I’ve broken your heart. But I just cannot stop thinking about you lately. I’m unhappy with him. I wished I could turn back the hands of time and stay with you. I know I’m asking for too much.”

“You know it’s impossible. You’re married to him.”

“I can ask for a divorce. We can be together again.”

Soo Young shook his head. He never wanted this. He has let her go and she didn’t have the right to return into her life just because she regretting leaving him. Hyorin tried to hold on to his arms but Soo Young pulled away.

“No, we can never be together again. It’s over. I can never do this with you anymore.”

“Soo Young, don’t you miss our old times?”

“I miss them. I miss them ing a lot but you left me, Hyorin. You got me heartbroken and I couldn’t do anything anymore. It was so difficult to even breathe when you walked out of my life.”

Soo Young then pulled out his phone and searched for something.  Suddenly there was a music coming out from his phone.

“I wrote this song on the day you left me. I have never thought you could do this to me. It hurt so much that I kept crying as I penned those words down. You don’t have any idea how much my heart ached; how much the pieces kept breaking apart as I thought of you. It was so painful that I felt like dying. You know nothing about my heartache, Hyorin.”

The song kept playing on the background. Hara was tearing up and Taeyang looked ahead. Yul was feeling sorry for his friend. He was always so playful and cool about everything but the true fact that he was dying inside. He was hiding all of the pain he felt with him.

Hyorin was crying. She was crying her heart out. She never expected this because Soo Young has never confronted her about his feelings. She thought he was just the same kind of guys who could just move on and pretend like things never happened. But she thought wrongly. Soo Young was never that type of guy.

“I loved you so much but yet you were the one who tore me apart and threw me away. So there’s no more for us; there’s no more for you with me.”

Soo Young got up and left. He didn’t even bother to take his phone along. He walked away; staggering his way out of the building. The tears were building up in his eyes and he finally let it out. But Soo Young couldn’t understand why he was crying.  Suddenly he was aware that his heart was hurting not because of what Hyorin did; but because of what he did to Taeyeon.

He walked aimlessly with tears falling from the corner of his eyes.

“Taeyeon, I’m sorry.”

He whispered breathlessly.

“Hyung, where are you?”

Yoong was with Jessica at her house. He was having dinner at her place with the other two ladies. Yul wasn’t home and Soo Young was nowhere in sight too. So Yoong and the two younger boys, Hyoyeon and J-Hope had dinner since Taeyeon cooked.

“What’s wrong? What’s wrong with Soo Young?”

Yoong suddenly looked concerned. Taeyeon heard Soo Young’s name but she didn’t look up. She just ignored it and Hyoyeon was already holding on to his sister’s hand. He squeezed it tightly. But Yoong’s concerned look and shaky voice was not helping.

“What do you mean by Soo Young disappeared?”

Jessica was staring at Yoong; he looked away. The other four was staring at each other; clueless about what was going on.

“I’ll look for him with you. You wait for me.”

Yoong hung up and then apologized to the girls. Jessica stopped him.

“Where are you going?”

“Soo Young’s missing.”

“Huh?”

“Something happened at the studio. He left his phone at the studio and walked off. Yul was waiting for him but he didn’t return.”

Tiffany looked at the time. It was close to 8pm.

“Maybe he went to his parents’ place?”

“Soo Young hyung will never return to his parents’ place unless necessary. That would be the least place if you want to find him.”

“What’s wrong with him?”

Taeyeon finally spoke up. She couldn’t help but feeling worried.

“Yul hyung said he was really upset. He was crying so badly when he left.”

Taeyeon bit her lower lip.

“I’m going to look for him with Yul hyung.”

“Hyung, I’ll go with you.”

Hyoyeon offered. J-Hope wanted to go along too but Yoong stopped him.

“You stay with your noona. Just stay here until I get home.”

“I’m going to be the protector now?”

“Yes, we’ll come back as soon as possible.”

Hyoyeon was already wearing his shoes and Yoong was already out of the house. And Taeyeon couldn’t help but feeling worried.

Why did he cry?

Why is he hurting so badly?

Taeyeon couldn’t stop wondering.

Soo Young was at the club. He was drinking. He couldn’t think straight anymore. He was blabbering nonsense to himself and then he slumped onto the table.

His heart was aching. His brain was screaming “STUPID” at him. And the only thing that came to his mind was that moment when he saw Taeyeon at his front door; looking hurt and everything.

“Taeyeon ah..”

He mumbled.

“Taeyeon... I’m sorry..”

He was slowly losing consciousness.

“I love you. I love you Taeyeon..”

He finally confessed but nobody could hear him. And he got knocked out eventually.

I'm going to focus on SooTae first in the next few chapters then follow by YoonSic and then Yulti.
