Chapter 1
The Neighbours“Kim Taeyeon! I cannot believe I used to date you!”
“What’s that supposed to mean!? You know I still care for you!”
“You bought me a birthday cake with my face on a pair of s!”
“I swear I didn’t know they make exotic cakes! They were on 50% discount!”
“Bwahahahahahahaaha~”
“SHUT UP TIFFANY!”
“It’s too hilarious!” Only byuntae Taeyeon could only think of that!”
“I’m going to sue those idiots!”
The three best friends were going mental with one another; one was laughing her head off while the other was planning to kill the culprit who caused such a blunder on her birthday.
“We should give something like this on Tiffany’s birthday!”
“Sore loser!”
“So are you going to blow the candles or what?”
“Are you seriously celebrating my birthday with a cake?!”
“The s are almost the same size as yours as far as I could remember.”
“KIM TAEYEON, DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!”
“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!”
“SHUT UP, TIFFANY!”
Both exes screamed in unison and grabbed a gist of the cake. The cake was immediately shoved into Tiffany’s mouth and the lady was stunned.
“YA! NOW I HAVE SICA’S CAKE IN MY MOUTH!”
“Serve you right for laughing so loudly!”
SPLAT!
“What the eff?!”
“That’s for buying me a birthday cake!”
Jessica took revenge by throwing a piece of the cake at Taeyeon. Tiffany burst out laughing again and the ladies went into a food throwing session. Supposedly it was Jessica’s birthday but Taeyeon got the worst of it. Tiffany and Jessica kept aiming at her.
“STOP THROWING THE S AT ME!”
“I’m enjoying myself!”
“SHOULDN’T THE BIRTHDAY GIRL GET THE SABOTAGING?!”
“Taeyeon, you’re the cause of it!”
SPLAT!
Taeyeon turned; Tiffany was aiming for her face. Tiffany just couldn’t stop laughing.
“HWANG MI YOUNG! YOU’RE SO DEAD!”
“ARGHHH! NOOOOOO!”
Imagine three working ladies in their mid 20s running around with cakes in their hands; aiming for each other; behaving like little children in the park. Kim Taeyeon, Tiffany Hwang and Jessica Jung have been friends since elementary school. They were often seen together and they could never be separated. Jessica used to date Taeyeon in high school but both ended amicably. They could still remain best friends much to Tiffany’s relief.
They grew up together; from elementary school to high school to college and of course, till university. They were not exclusively lesbians; they had their fair share of dates with both genders – guys and girl but Taeyeon was more inclined to the ladies.
Now in their mid 20s, the ladies were still searching for their right one. Tiffany’s a lawyer, Jessica’s psychiatrist and Taeyeon’s veterinarian. The ladies lived together; rented the same apartment. That was how close the girls were.
“God, that was so tiring!”
The girls went home after the crazy fun. People were staring at them with disapproving looks but they couldn’t care much. Tiffany jumped on Jessica who took refuge on the sofa; Taeyeon went off to wash her oily face first. She was worse off than the birthday girl.
“Oof! Fany!”
Tiffany sprawled her whole body on Jessica who was desperately trying to push her away. Tiffany was too strong for Jessica.
“Happy Birthday, Ice Princess!”
Tiffany whipped out her birthday gift for Jessica; the latter smiled widely.
“Thank you, Fany!”
Taeyeon took out hers as well. She threw it towards Jessica. It hit the poor lady’s forehead.
“OW!”
“I’m sorry!”
“First, the cake and now a blue black forehead?!”
“Oh come on, I’m not that mean and I’m pretty sure you will thank me for the gift.”
“What is it?”
Jessica opened it immediately and her eyes grew wider. It was the limited edition watch that Jessica was eyeing for the longest time.
“OH M GEE!”
“Yes, I deserve a kiss for that.”
Jessica didn’t wait. A big fat wet kiss landed on Taeyeon’s cheek.
“Wow, this is difficult to get. How did you manage?”
Tiffany was surprised as well.
“I had to find it. I managed to pull some strings. The cake was to throw you off at first. My plan to get a sincere kiss worked!”
“Kim Taeyeon, what rubbish are you talking about? You know I love you, right?”
“I know, but you seem to enjoy more time with Tiffany!”
Tiffany and Jessica stared at each other before turning to look at Taeyeon.
“Are you seriously going to be so about that?”
“I’m hurt!”
“Jessica’s office is just two levels above me, Taeyeon.”
“I’m going to move my clinic closer to you!”
“I’m sorry; I think the building management won’t accept animals into their premises!”
“I don’t care. I only deal with pets!”
“You liar! I saw you treating a Boa python before!”
“You screamed the out of me. The python almost strangled me!”
“But it didn’t. It was limp.”
“Poor Georgie. I miss him already. He died of pneumonia.”
“The snake has a name?!”
“Jessica, do you have a name?”
“I’m a human!”
“You named your dog, Brownie!”
“Brownie is warm and huggable! The damn snake is a cold blooded animal! How could someone even raise a snake as a pet?!”
“I wanted one.”
“NO WAY!”
“That’s why I didn’t bother to ask.”
Poor Taeyeon; the two ladies jumped on her and she was almost suffocated to death with two pillows jabbed into her face. That was what she would get if she ever teases the two ladies for fun.
