Track 68. BETTER by Khalid | ♩

Monday.

Damn, I’m still in utter disbelief that I walked back inside that function hall like nothing happened between Baekhyun and I. And I could say the same for him. He walked in earlier than I did, as planned. And he looked absolutely unfazed.

Anyway, I’m in college, huh? But I’m still also obliged to attend superhuman duties such as that summit.

Rara walked around the campus, heading towards her first class for the day. So I’m in my junior year, second semester. Architecture. Subject is Theory of Structures. I’ve got quite a long way to go...four more semesters, two years of apprenticeship, reviewing for the boards, the licensure exam…

She clutched onto the strap of her drawing tube as she continued to walk down the hallway. I’m studying to be an architect. I wonder how that's gonna work out for me...but I do love art so—

“Rara!” 

She turned around and found two figures jogging towards her. 

Chanyeol and Suho. 

“Hey, what’s up?” Rara greeted. Why is Chanyeol looking at me like I threw up on his food? 

“Can I walk you to class?” Suho invited. 

“Uh, sure.” Ugh, stupid brother with that grumpy face in the daylight, Rara thought in annoyance. So I don’t get along well with Chanyeol. That’s a first. “Yeol? Where’re you heading?”

“My class is in the same building as yours.” He said flatly. Oh...he’s studying Engineering. Suho’s from the accountancy and business department. His building is on the opposite side of the campus. Why go through all that effort just to walk me to class? Were alpha wolves always this cari...

...Jesus. ing. Christ.

Suho likes me. 

I’m not his mate, but it’s not forbidden to like someone while ‘the one’ hasn’t arrived yet. 

On top of that, he has confessed.

Months ago.

“You know you don’t have to do this all the time, Junmyeon.” Rara said with a smile. In her peripheral vision, she caught Chanyeol rolling his eyes at her. I deserve every ounce of Chanyeol’s disgust. I have this perfect gentleman wanting to be my boyfriend and yet I ed someone who could pass as his brother last night. 

And the worst part is, that wasn’t even the first time. That’s why Baekhyun said we have never been caught before, so it’s safe to assume we did it more than once. 

“But I want to.” Oh, God. Suho’s always been a nice guy. Why do I have to him over? Especially with someone from the same pack?
