Track 52. HONEY by Halsey | ♩

Rara clasped her hand around her healing necklace that the Other Baekhyun was wearing; he was still unconscious. He must have hit his head pretty bad. She put faith in its healing powers and scuffled towards the bookshelves that had tumbled down over her older brother. 

She did her best to push it back up, ignoring that some of the books were falling and hitting her everywhere like a book hurricane. Now she tried to pull up the other one, the one directly resting against him. Halfway through pulling the bookshelf up, she felt the weight getting lighter, and before she knew it, the Other Baekhyun was helping her. 

“You okay?” Rara asked worriedly. “You should let me handle this.”

“Yeah. Don’t worry about it.” He rubbed the back of his head carefully. 

As Rara crouched down to Chanyeol’s level, she noticed there was a pool of blood by his head. Initially panicking, and the Other Baekhyun sensing the alarms going off inside her head, he immediately shoved the encyclopedias and biographies that piled up on Chanyeol’s body. Rara turned him around and lightly patted his cheek. 

“Yeol.” She said steadily. “Chanyeol.” Rara lifted her brother’s upper body trustily, gathering him in her arms, careful not to damage any part of his head. “Chanyeol, wake up.” She said, feeling her breathing become shallow. She checked for his pulse, and she could sense it, but it was pretty weak. 

She jumped a little at the sudden sensation of someone’s hand on top of her head. “Hey, relax.” The Other Baekhyun soothed. “Show me some of those decades of emergency room experience, Doc Byun.” Rara looked at him, her eyes welling up with tears. “Your brother’s not that easy to take down.” 

Chanyeol stirred slowly, his hand deliberately touching his temple, where he’s injured. “What the hell…” He muttered.

“Chanyeol!” Rara gasped as he tried to sit up straight. “Be careful! Your head—!”

“Where’s Hyerin?”

She sighed and thought, Werewolves and their unparalleled care for their mates. “She vanished.” Rara replied. “I have first aid in my car. Let me—”

“We need to clean up this mess.”

“What? But we have to patch up your—”

“I’m okay, it’ll heal—”

“You’re bleeding from your goddamn head, Yeol! Stop being so stubb—”

“Look, dude, just listen to her.” The Other Baekhyun snapped, dropping the first aid kit on Rara’s hands. They hadn’t noticed, but the Other Baekhyun had gone out to get the first aid kit from the car. “I’ll start cleaning up while Rara can patch you up. And when she’s done, we can all clean up this mess.” 

“Hey, you‘re no better. You had a concussion.” Rara retorted. “You shouldn’t beat yourself up too.”
