“What’s a Miroir?” 

Haoran looked at her, waiting for her to tell him she was joking but the moment never came. “You...are you serious?” 

“Yes. Yes, I am.” Rara said intently. “What is a Miroir?” 

“A Miroir is an evil version of any entity that is created during a failed attempt to save someone inside the Inferos sub Vitrum.” He stated. “In short, the alter ego.” 

“What do you mean ‘failed attempt’ to save someone inside the Inferno—Inferior—Inf—whatever, just, please elaborate.” 

“That Miroir of Baekhyun’s is really a prick for not disclosing this to you. But I’m not surprised, he’s a Miroir.” Haoran said bluntly.

“He was going to help me.” 

Haoran opened his mouth to answer but ended up laughing lightly under his breath. “Wow, I think I might be too late. He’s got you wrapped around his finger.” 

“What’re you talking about? It’s still Baekhyun.” 

“Yes, it is, but it’s an evil Baekhyun. You, of all people, should not fall for his antics that easily, because you know him down to the marrow.” 

“Exactly. So why are you implying that he’s not capable of help—”

“Well, he hasn’t told you about what he is, how’d he get here, how to get Baekhyun back in one piece, etcetera, etcetera, right?” Haoran challenged. “Because I’m a hundred and one percent sure that the real Baekhyun would’ve left you a whole- guide on how to find him, but here you are, hearing the instructions for the first time, from someone who isn’t Baekhyun.” 

Defeated, Rara just raised her hands in surrender and said, “Fine, you’ve made your point, just get to it.” 

Still so stubborn. “Anyway, I’m assuming you have the Inferos sub Vitrum.” 

“What’s that?” Rara asked in confusion.

“The mirror. Don’t you have it?”

“Mirror? What mirror?”

For the second time tonight, Haoran looked at Rara with utter disbelief. She’s this clueless? “How else would you have gotten a Miroir without the mirror?” 

“Through this enchanted painting that supposedly grants you wishes. I did what I was told, think about what I want really hard—”

“Wait, wait, wait.” Haoran cut her off quickly. “A Miroir only appears if the person you desire is already inside the mirror. That’s what I mean about the failed attempt. You can’t ask to see a person who’s already inside the mirror.” He said. “How the hell did Baekhyun get inside the mirror?”

Evidently, there were a lot of details that Rara didn’t know about the situation she was in. She couldn’t come up with an answer because frankly, she didn’t know what to say. Shrugging, she mumbled, “I don’t know. I
