Bread love (2Jung AU)

ONESHOTS GFRIEND

After a grueling day, Jung EunHa went outside to relax a little. Her brain was buzzing with unresolved ideas, if she stayed at work and at lunchtime, then in the evening a migraine would play out.
Usually she walked behind the building; there was a small mini-park with interesting architectural paintings. She liked that corner and could spend hours, having bought coffee in advance with a delicious cake. Leaving the building today, EunHa thought that she needed to diversify the walk, and instead of immediately turning the corner into the mini-park, she walked a little forward to the shops. Street led straight to the mini-park. EunHa was curious whether she would to his corner.
It turns out that if you walk a couple of steps along the wide street, you can find a bakery with a rather intriguing place with the inscription: “ Soft, tender and warm. Fall in love with our unforgettable chocolate bread today . "
- And why I still don't know about her? - the girl was surprised, stopping near the entrance, inhaling through her nose, the enchanting aroma of only baked bread. The belly rumbled, the girl blushed, looked around, but no one but her was on the streets.
She made a living by giving reviews on pastries, praising or mercilessly criticizing restaurants and her articles were famous for their success with readers of All about Delicious Food magazine. She was always aware of where a new restaurant, cafe, or bakery was opening. After the opening, she came under the guise of a visitor, ordered a menu with new names, photographed and wrote her candid review under each image. She described all the taste qualities, suggested whom this food would be more for suitable. Therefore, readers loved her, because they knew that they could rely on her in their food choices.
**
At that moment, two students came out of the bakery, giggling over the bread in their hands. A man in office clothes followed them, smiling with satisfaction, taking a bite of bread. EunHa's curiosity tripled due to their reaction. She wondered if the bread really tasted so good. Intrigued, she went inside. It was a small shop with a large glass window through which passers-by could peep in. There were two shelves with trays inside, but they were all empty. Apart from them, EunHa could not see anything due to the crowd at the bakery .
After 15 minutes of waiting in line, EunHa finally approached the checkout. She was amazed at her own patience, because she would never have stood in line for such a long time. She must have been fascinate by the wonderful smell of chocolate bread.
The interior of the store was minimalistic. In front of each tray were tags attached with the names of the bread and pastries that were supposed to be there.
There was a poster on the wall that read:
"Good things come to those who bake."
On another poster next to him was a picture of a rolling pin with the caption, "Let's ride."
There was a door behind the counter, presumably leading to the kitchen. A noise came from the door, and the strong sweet scent of oven-baked bread filled her nose.
EunHa liked the selection of posters.
"Welcome! How many unforgettable pieces of chocolate bread do you want? «A tall girl asked at the counter. Her long, chocolate-colored hair ended just below her shoulders and she smiled brightly. On the tag on her chest was written " I am happy and serve you ", and it features a cute cartoon puppy .
EunHa glanced at the tag again, thinking it was a spelling mistake, until she noticed the pun. Sighing internally, she wondered if the owners wanted to be funny or lame.
“I'll take two, please, thank you,” EunHa replied, taking some notes from her wallet.
The tall girl took two pieces of chocolate bread and placed them in a brown bag before handing over to EunHa .
"We hope you enjoy our unforgettable chocolate bread and will not forget to come back to us again."
EunHa nodded with a slight smile before leaving. Leaving the store, she immediately pulled out the bread and took a small bite. Heat shot through her body and she automatically broke into a grin. By the time she realized she was smiling to herself, EunHa saw envious eyes staring in her direction as if they wanted her piece of chocolate bread too. She quickly threw the bread back into the brown bag and hurried to the station, shielding it from people in line.
She quickly returned to her office, forgetting that she wanted to go to the mini-park, locked in her office.
It took her ten minutes and a cup of coffee to finish the chocolate delight. She her lips, feeling satisfied but regretting that she hadn't bought enough. It was the first time that plain bread made her feel so warm and it was definitely unforgettable. The best part is that it gave her the inspiration she needed to write a review for a restaurant she visited a day ago.
**
EunHa returned to the bakery two days later, there was a lot of work, so she finished only in the evening. Turning the corner and walking down the wide streets to the bakery, she hoped for an opening.
Upon arrival, EunHa saw a tall girl counting the number of people in line and talking to each of them. After stopping just five people in front of EunHa , the tall girl announced that the unforgettable chocolate bread from the bakery had sold out all day. She excused herself before returning to the bakery.
Frustrated, EunHa could only stare at the bakery outside, thinking how delicious the bread in would be if she could leave her office sooner.
The next day, EunHa managed to dash out of the office and head straight to the bakery, as if her life depended on it. The unforgettable chocolate bread was addictive even though I only ate it once. This made her want to eat it again. This time she saw people patiently lining up. She quickly moved to the end of the line.
About ten minutes later, the same tall girl who had served her that day came out of the store. She had a pen and a tablet in her hands. Approaching each customer, EunHa noticed that several customers were showing number signs with their hand, while a tall girl was scribbling something on an exchange notebook. She prayed hard and hoped that she could buy a piece of chocolate bread.
As luck would have it, the young girl behind EunHa named the last customer of the day. The young girl screamed, almost lopnuv eardrums EunHa , when she thanked her lucky stars. The tall girl bowed and apologized to the remaining customers and gave each a discount coupon.
At the bakery, orders packed in brown bags with the buyer's initials. One by one, customers came to pick up their orders and paid for them. At that moment, a beautiful girl in white came out of the kitchen and joined the tall girl. The girl was wearing a white chef's hat and a white apron.
"Thanks for your support."
"Thank."
“We are glad that you like our bread. Thank."
"Thank you" - these two words filled the bakery as customers took their orders.
When EunHa got to the front of the line, she gasped. A wave of acquaintance passed through her; her heart beat a little faster, and she twisted her fingers. The baker resembled someone she knew from school, or rather, her crush.
The decisive moment was revealed when EunHa saw the name embroidered in silver on the baker's left chest.
Jung Yerin .

ЫнХа превратилась в узел нервов, удерживая ее дыхание, ожидая человека перед ней оставить.
“Thank you for coming. Hope you enjoy the bread. Visit us again! ” Yerin said with a polite bow .   The moment their eyes met, EunHa nearly fainted. Her legs turned to jelly as she forced out a faint smile, trying to stabilize.
" EunHa? Jung EunHa, is that you? - The baker asked, tilting her head slightly. EunHa froze in place and her eyes widened in surprise. - "You remember me? We went to the same school.
Yerin smiled broadly when she was sure she was right. EunHa's belly curled like whenever she saw her love with that smile. It was a smile, sweet as a kitten, and sincere, like the morning sun.
- Of course, I remember - EunHa stuttered nervously. " Hello Yerin -unnie !"
Yerin laughed out loud, again like she did 10 years ago, hitting her heart with her charm. She suddenly realized that her love was still living in her heart, did not disappear anywhere.
EunHa never confessed her feelings to Jang Yerin , her crush was a secret.
At the time, Yerin was dating school beauty Kim Sowon, their happiness was visible from a kilometer away. It was then that EunHa buried all feelings for Yerin deep in her heart. Now these sensations escaped from the hidden casket and filled every inch inside it.
I wonder if Yerin -unnie is still dating Sowon?
"Here for my unforgettable chocolate bread?" Yerin grinned. “You couldn’t spend a second before without chocolate. Are you still in love with him ? "
EunHa nodded, trying to find the correct answer.
“ You're in the right place, EunHa,” Yerin whispered softly , leaning towards EunHa . - "I can fully satisfy your desires."
There was no face to face as they separated by a stance, but it was close enough to make EunHa blush even more. She would like to answer boldly, but instead of a bold answer, she said:
"You remembered that I love chocolate."
"How could I forget that I have not met you were always smeared with chocolate face» - Yerin grinned, pushing brown athletic package to EunHa .
While Yerin and EunHa were getting to know each other again, the tall girl gave the last order to the girl who was queuing for EunHa. When the tall girl finished, a slight frown appeared on her face.
“You have anguish on your face,” the tall girl wiped the white mark on Yerin's cheek with her fingers.
-Thank you Yuju . What would I do without you? ” Yerin stood on tiptoe and pouted at Yuju .
Yuju laughed and patted Yerin’s hand gently.
EunHa's smile faded in the blink of an eye. Seeing the closer interaction between Yuju and Yerin , she assumed that they were very close friends and hoped that they were nothing more than this. She took the brown bag, left the exact amount on the counter, and turned to leave.
At that moment, EunHa felt someone grab her hand. She turned around and saw Yerin holding onto her wrist. Yerin's hand was warm.
" EunHa , let's talk over a cup of coffee sometime."
"Okay." EunHa quickly nodded and smiled. All she could focus on was the hand holding her wrist.
“Thanks for coming. I'm sure you'll like the bread. ” Yerin loosened her grip and smiled wryly.
The butterflies in EunHa's belly stirred again. She said goodbye and quickly left the store.
As she walked down the street, EunHa heard someone running after her.
- This is my number, don't forget to call, okay? - stopped right in front of EunHa , breathing heavily Yerin .
EunHa couldn't believe her eyes.
In high school, I dreamed of getting Yerin- unnie's number .
Countless times, EunHa dreamed of how she could invite Yerin for coffee if she got the elder's cell phone number. Right now, the baker was standing in front of her, panting a little after a short sprint and showing her her cell phone number. Seeing EunHa in a somewhat dazed state, Yerin grabbed EunHa 's free hand and a piece of paper into her palm.
"Call me. Bye-bye!" Yerin shouted as the distance between them increased.
**
That night, EunHa lay in bed looking at the crumpled, crumpled papers in front of her. Her lips automatically lifted into a smile as she reminisced about her school days.
EunHa first met Yerin in high school orientation. She initially mistook Yerin for her peer, as she looked so young and childishly innocent. EunHa realized that it wasn't until Yerin took the stage and announced that she was one of the leaders of the orientation group that Yerin was a year older than her.
During a bonfire on the first night, Yerin accidentally sat down next to EunHa. During the conversation, they discovered and that they have a common interest. Since that night, during orientation, they bumped into each other from time to time at school, but each time EunHa was embarrassed to approach Yerin . By the end of the year, she hardly sees Yerin . The final year students were busy preparing for exams at the end of the year.
One day, EunHa noticed that Yerin was dining alone in the library cafe in the late evening. Taking the opportunity, she quickly walked over to her eldest. Unfortunately, a slender girl with dark brown hair outstripped her. In the girl, she recognized another elder named Sowon . In the next instant, Sowon hugged Yerin from behind. Yerin's smile was as bright as a diamond when Sowon kissed Yerin 's temple.
EunHa's dream collapsed right in front of her. She blamed herself for her insecurity and silently turned away, comforting herself that it was just a silly love.
**
Two weeks later
This time a different smell came from the bakery; he was stronger and definitely didn't smell like cocoa. Curious, EunHa went to the store entrance to look at the chalkboard. True, there was a new product on it, and it was Korean Garlic Bread. This strange name amused her.
Standing in line, EunHa was engrossed in her book, as she did not notice the person standing next to her.
"You didn't call me." EunHa jumped a bit and looked up to see Yerin frowning.
“Sorry, I was busy with work,” EunHa replied apologetically.
A slight smile appeared on Yerin's face .
“Our latest product, Korean Powerful Garlic Bread! Garlic helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol. ” Yerin paused before leaning over to EunHa . "At least that's what I read on the Internet."
The close proximity caused EunHa's heartbeat to increase . Yerin chuckled at the girl's surprised reaction .
- Follow me .
Yerin headed to the bakery and beckoned EunHa to follow her. Yuju quickly nodded to EunHa while serving customers in line.
Entering the kitchen, EunHa felt like a child in a candy store. She couldn't help smiling from ear to ear when she saw a neat kitchen filled with baking dishes, a large oven, an island in the middle, and a row of cabinets. It was a small kitchen, but definitely well equipped. The smell of freshly baked garlic bread was in the air. Her interest in baking instantly rekindled.
“ I can see that you are delighted. So you bake something else at home, those delicious honey cookies?
EunHa's eyes were wide, but his smile widened . She was pleased that Yerin remembered her interest.
“Not as often as I would like,” EunHa sighed .
" I would like to eat them again. Maybe come on someday, if you want, of course, we will meet. Well, you know, have coffee in a cafe and remember our past. If you are not busy, then maybe today - with a question in your eyes , asked Yerin .
"Oh me?" EunHa blurted out .
“Uh, yes you. You're the only one here, and I think I've been talking to you for the last ten minutes? "
"Sorry, I was distracted by your kitchen" - lied shy EunHa, her heart beat a little faster. "I'm free until the end of the day."
"Great . Let me clean up and we can go to the nearest café. Nice to meet old friends ."
**
Fifteen minutes later, they sat face to face in a nearby cafe and chatted merrily about their school days. EunHa was tempted to ask if Yerin was dating anyone, but thought it was too embarrassing to ask this question since they had just rekindled their friendship after a few years.
The conversation naturally led to baking, a common interest they both shared.
Noticing the enthusiasm in EunHa's eyes , Yerin invited EunHa to visit the bakery and bake with her.
"Are you serious? I'm not a professional! "Gasped EunHa .
"I also. Just trying to make a living here and at the same time pursue my love of baking. "
“You must be a jester . You have such delicious bread! ” EunHa covered her open mouth with her hands.
- It's all experience, trust me, EunHa . At first it looked like burnt stale bread, it was impossible to even bite through it - Yerin laughed heartily.
- If experience, then I have nothing to do here.
- Come on, EunHa , you will succeed, I believe in you! - Yerin lightly patted EunHa hand.
EunHa wanted to scream out loud, but she was grateful that she managed to keep it inside herself. Instead, the words rolled off her tongue before she could contain them:
"When can I start?"
“Looks like you're applying for a job as a baker's assistant,” and this time Yerin bent over laughing.
"Oh, you mean I don't get paid to help?" EunHa asked , pretending to be surprised.
“How about payment in kind? Say ... with your favorite unforgettable chocolate bread, ” Yerin chuckled before taking a sip of her black coffee. EunHa considered unnie's proposal for a while .
"I have a condition."
"What is it?" Yerin asked, curious about the sudden request.
“I write in the lifestyle section of The Times and I write a column weekly. Can I interview you and maybe even write here about my baking experience? "
Yerin bit her lips and thought about it for a while :
“I don't understand why I should say no . That would be a good advertisement for my bakery . "
"Then this is the deal!" EunHa held out her hand.
Belly EunHa overturned when their hands touched. Yerin shook hands with her youngest tightly, happy to be reunited with her school friend .
**
During her first visit, EunHa couldn't wait to start baking again, especially if she's baking with her school love. She felt like a teenager going on a first date. As she made her way to the store, EunHa greeted Yuju warmly. She shortly forgot about the tall girl's presence and didn't ask Yerin if she was a worker or someone special.
Yerin has prepared a white apron and cap for EunHa . The young woman put on her hat, ready to start her first job. EunHa taken by surprise when Yerin decided to teach her how to bake delicious unforgettable chocolate bread.
"Isn't this a secret recipe?" - asked EunHa .
“No, there is no secret recipe. Good things need to be shared. After today, you can bake your own unforgettable chocolate bread at home. You don't need to come here specifically to get it. "
But I want to come here and see you! - EunHa thought aloud.
“It's not that far from my house. It's also good to catch up with baking, ” EunHa chuckled .
"I would also like to invite a friend." Yerin reflected a smile before laughing.
**
For the next few weeks, EunHa showed up once a week, usually on Saturday nights, when the bakery was less busy. Yerin was glad to have an old classmate, and even more so when someone shared a common interest in baking. Sometimes they discussed new recipes and experimented together.
One evening, when Yerin was about to lock the doors to the bakery, she stopped in front of a wall with posters.
Good things come to those who bake.
A specific person came to mind, and Yerin couldn't help but chuckle to herself.
During her ninth trip to the bakery, EunHa noticed a CLOSED sign on the front door. Entering through the back door, as Yerin told her, EunHa noticed that Yerin was in the process of baking a cake and it was quite large with three tiers.
"Someone ordered a big cake?"
Yerin put many flowers on the largest layer:
"Hmm, it's actually a wedding cake."
"Ah, looks amazing."
"This is for someone special. " EunHa noticed that Yerin's eyes sparkled.
EunHa's heart skipped a beat . She had a bad feeling that the cake had something to do with Yerin , but her curiosity got the better of it.
“Ah, I'm curious. May I ask whose is it? "
Yerin knew about the interest EunHa to find out who was the mysterious L I confirm the identity and decided to :
"I'll tell you if you can help me beat the dough."
“Oh, good,” EunHa replied absently.
Her mind was filled with imaginary images of the special person Yerin .
Together with EunHa helping her beat the dough, Yerin prepared the oven and bakeware .
EunHa couldn't help but watch Yerin grease the cake trays , her face focused; she was the sweetest thing EunHa had ever seen.
EunHa didn't realize that she was practically looking at her sweetheart and didn't think about whipping at all until she split the dough on the table.
“Sorry, I assumed you knew how to beat the dough. I had to ask . " Yerin in the blink of an eye went to the EunHa .
Before EunHa could reply, she felt a small, warm hand grab her arm that was holding the whisk.
“It's actually pretty simple. It's all about the wrist, ” Yerin explained , standing behind EunHa . "Just…"
EunHa couldn't catch a single word coming from Yerin's mouth. These words just seemed like a light breeze blowing down her cheeks. Her body was warmer than usual, and her mind was filled with images of Yerin standing so close to her. Her heart was beating very fast, even faster than their quick beating. Her jaw dropped as fireworks exploded in her body, sending a tingling sensation to her toes.
"Are you okay?" Yerin asked as she released EunHa's hand .
She noticed that EunHa's face was getting thicker and wondered if the kitchen was too stuffy.
As Yerin hurried to the far end of the kitchen to open the windows, EunHa nearly collapsed to the floor. Luckily, she managed to keep herself resting her hands on the table. She sighed quickly and regained her balance.
Being so close, the bodies almost touched each other, almost displacing oxygen from EunHa's lungs. Even she overwhelmed by her own emotions.
"It's better?" Yerin put her arm around EunHa 's shoulder and patted his arm.
EunHa nodded vigorously. The feeling of joy returned.
"Do you want to continue or ..."
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me," EunHa defended.
Yerin bit her lips and thought of simpler tasks that she could get EunHa to help. She had no idea that her act stirred the butterflies in EunHa's stomach.
Taking a pink wad of fondant, Yerin told EunHa to cut out the letters for the cake using a cookie cutter.
“The letters Y and S and a pink heart,” Yerin beamed. The corners of her lips almost reached her eyes.
EunHa gestured okay. As she carved the letters, it dawned on her that it might have been Yerin's wedding cake ! And Yerin did it for a special person who was probably its future wife, and the wife's name begins with the letter the S .
"Wow!" EunHa suddenly exclaimed , startling Yerin . It was obvious who YS was . It was to be Sowon , girl Yerin , and now future wife out of high school!
“Are you okay? You looked a little out of sorts today.
“I… I'm fine. Maybe just ... a little tired, ” EunHa lied , her voice slightly trembling. One moment she was on the ninth cloud, the next moment she collapsed to the ground.
There was a knock on the door and Yerin hurried to open it. A woman with black hair entered the kitchen . She was wearing dark sunglasses and fragrant floral perfume.
She is so beautiful. I love her heels! EunHa thought to herself.
"Just in time!" Yerin proclaimed , smiling proudly as she stood in front of the unfinished cake.
The woman took off her sunglasses and EunHa was startled by the recognition.
" Sowon ," EunHa muttered to herself.
After collecting the pieces of the puzzle, the resulting puzzle looked like this; Sowon was the woman whose name was on the wedding cake and her partner was Yerin . Heart S , it made sense (at least to EunHa ).
"Like what you see?" Yerin asked , pointing to the largest tier that had just been completed.
Sowon nodded firmly and held up her thumb. Yerin laughed and then turned to EunHa .
“ Do you remember that girl who ate chocolate all the time, and once gave us both a bar of chocolate . This is Jung EunHa. EunHa , this is Kim Sowon . I suppose you have not met her before, although she goes to the same school as ours and is the same age as me.
Sowon smiled and quickly waved her hand while EunHa bowed slightly in greeting. It was obvious that EunHa knew who Sowon was. EunHa envied beauty, shape and growth Sowon .
She has everything in the right proportions! Unsurprisingly, she is a special person for Yerin. EunHa thought to herself.
As if she could read EunHa's mind , Yerin added:
"She's the special one I'm talking about."
"Oh, special" Sowon commented, sliding her hand over Yerin's arm before ending with a slight pinch.
Yerin playfully slapped Jessica on the arm.
"Particularly annoying, but attractive at the same time."
EunHa took a deep breath before reaching out her hand.
"Congratulations to both of you".
"What?"
Yerin and Sowon turned to face each other at the same time, their faces in confusion. They looked at EunHa again , then at the jagged letters on the table and laughed almost simultaneously.
Now it was EunHa 's turn to get confused. She cocked her head to one side and tried to find out the reason for their laughter.
"Wedding cake ... these letters ... I didn't know ..." Yerin said through laughter. She literally bent down, laughing. "This is so funny!"
Sowon was more reserved and helped clarify the situation.
“Thanks for your good wishes. S denotes Sowon , and Y - is not Yerin. This is Yewon. Kim Yewon is my fiancée and she is the one with whom I will spend the rest of my life. ”
Poking Yerin in the shoulder, Sowon continued:
"This girl , whose name also starts with the letter Y, is a good friend of mine."
EunHa's face turned a crimson red as she realized that she was making such a fool of herself. She had two alternatives; either dig a hole and hide, or vanish into thin air. Both were impossible, so she could only tilt her head and look at the floor.
Yerin wiped the tears from her eyes.
"You are such a charming person."
EunHa was so embarrassed that she couldn't help but giggle.
“It's a pretty sweet mistake,” added Sowon .
Pulling a small set of cakes from the oven, the three chatted and reminisced about their high school days. Seeing that they were discussing the wedding, EunHa left them alone while she walked to the store.
About fifteen minutes later, Yerin and Sowon appeared at the entrance to the kitchen . In Sowon something was, and she had to leave. They hugged and said goodbye before Yerin disappeared into the kitchen.
Shortly before Sowon left the bakery, she pulled EunHa aside.
“She's a good catch. Loyal and sweet. She's been chatting a lot about you lately , ” Sowon whispered before waving goodbye and leaving.
EunHa was stunned by Sowon's revelation .
" EunHa , do you still want to help me with the cake?" Yerin called from the kitchen.
"Y-yes!" EunHa hurried back to the kitchen. She took different pieces of lipstick and mixed them into one lump, intending to redo the letters and shape again. On the other hand, Yerin was busy making the frosting.
An awkward silence reigned in the kitchen.
" EunBi ".
EunHa's hands stopped moving. It's been a long time since someone called her with a Korean name. In fact, Yerin was the only one (besides her grandmother) to use her Korean name. She remembered how Yerin preferred sound EunBi , not EunHa .
EunHa looked up to see a smiling Yerin standing in front of the kitchen island. The same smile that made EunHa's stomach twist . The same smile that made EunHa's legs soft, and she mentally said:
"Oh how cute".
"It has been some time since someone called me by that name."
"Haha, the conversation we were in earlier suddenly brought back memories of that name." Yerin walked over to EunHa . “The last few times I wanted to call you EunBi , but I remembered that you prefer to be called EunHa . Everyone called you that back then, including Mr. Kwon.
As Yerin approached her with every step, EunHa's heart beat faster and her eyes widened with impatience.
“I love it,” EunHa blurted out. “I love the way you call me EunBi . It brings us closer. "
“Oh, closer. How is it? ” Yerin grinned as she took another step forward and looked into EunHa's eyes.
"Something like that". EunHa gripped the heart- shaped cookie cutter tightly.
" EunBi ".
"Y-yes?"
"Shall we go on a date after the wedding?"
In EunHa jaw dropped and his eyes widened.
Yerin chuckled insolently and gently lifted EunHa's lower jaw so that was now close.
EunHa nodded once, then again, and several more times excitedly.
"It's a deal!" smiled Yerin, again kiss lips EunHa.
