Fifty-nine
Leading Us to This New ChanceArrow and Gaeul were beyond excited that Sunday.
Dressed in their favorite baseball team jerseys and also wearing their caps – and obviously, wearing masks to stay protected – they talked endlessly about which players were the best in the league.
After quarantine, Arrow met his friends at the park. They played, always wearing masks, and had a picnic with food that Hyukjae lovingly prepared. The children really felt the weight of staying at home for those four months, but they were strong and happy – they unfortunately couldn't go back to school.
But after the government allowed people to return to the stadium, Gaeul and Arrow pestered their parents to take them to a match. Hyukjae and Daehyun agreed to take the boys to the stadium on Sunday. And after eating delicious snacks, Arrow and Gaeul were cheering for their favorite team.
Hyukjae saw Arrow's behavior at the stadium and wondered if Junghoon and Jihye would be like their older brother. The twins were already ten months old and living their best life – of course Donghae wasn't ready to leave them at daycare yet, but Ari couldn't take care of them and Destiny couldn't fly from Canada to South Korea.
It was funny to think about how the three of them weren't all that different. They had strong personalities, talked loudly and laughed in sync. The three of them, even though Arrow was upset at the beginning of the pandemic and didn't want to play with his brothers, were already best friends. The oldest of them helped with everything he could and even sang the babies to sleep. The three of them slept in their parents' bed and had a good life.
Hyukjae knew they would be different, and he liked to enjoy every moment with those children who made his world happy. With Arrow growing up so fast, as his seventh birthday was knocking on the door, Hyukjae knew that very soon his son would be growing wings and flying. Arrow deserved to live a happy life outside of home. He needed to meet other people and see everything the world had to offer.
When Junghoon and Jihye's turn came, Hyukjae wanted to be ready for it.
The twins were still babies, but they could be very independent. They even risked standing and managed to do so.
- Aish! *Byeonshin! – Arrow and Gaeul shouted, breaking Hyukjae out of his thoughts. He laughed and looked at Daehyun, who sighed and said:
- It would have been better to take them to the playground.
Hyukjae agreed and watched the game while Gaeul and Arrow looked like two adults who had bet their entire salary on the team. That was a curious day to say the least.

After the game, the boys' energy was high. They talked and praised the team they supported – after all, it was the team that won the match – and took the opportunity to take photos in front of the stadium. Arrow and Gaeul were so happy and couldn't wait for the next game. They would definitely be there.
- Very good, very good. – Hyukjae said while pulling Arrow by the shoulders – You cursed as if you were an adult. If you come home saying those bad words, your father will wash your mouth out with soap.
- And the same goes for you, Gaeul. – said Daehyun – Now say goodbye to Arrow so we can go.
- Do we really have to go, appa?
- Of course. Don't forget that there is still a virus making a lot of people sick out there.
Gaeul pouted and shook hands with Arrow, who waved and said:
- I'll ask my dad to let me call you tomorrow after school.
- Okay! I am going to wait.
The boys smiled and waved. Daehyun and Hyukjae also waved and headed to their respective cars. Sitting in the booster seat, Arrow buckled up and looked at Hyukjae, who got into the car and started it after slinging the seat belt over his shoulders.
Hyukjae started the car and started driving. He was exhausted.
- Appa?
- What?
- The other day, I was thinking about something.
Hyukjae raised an eyebrow.
