Even after a fun day with his friends, Arrow was ready for more games.
As Hyukjae needed to go to the restaurant for Halloween party preparations, Donghae took the kids and Popcorn home without really knowing where that hamster would stay. But the fact was, Arrow was more than happy to receive a gift like that, so Donghae couldn't do anything about it.
- Very well, I want you to take a shower. – Donghae said when they got home – But Aisha goes first.
- Why does Aisha always go first, dad?
- Because… I don’t know. You have to make your friends comfortable and Gaeul can shower after Aisha.
- Will I be last?
- You don't even like to shower that much, Arrow.
- But today is my birthday.
Donghae closed his eyes and counted from one to three. That stubbornness would still send him to the hospital.
- Then go shower first. – ordered Donghae – And then you're going to help me make snacks for your friends.
Arrow didn't want to help at all, because it was his birthday and all the boy wanted was to play. However, as that was a happy day, Arrow went to take a shower while Donghae helped Gaeul and Aisha with their backpacks. The children talked a lot about many things at the same time and Donghae found it very funny – and understood how his son had a strong friendship with two children who were so different from him.
Aisha and Gaeul were not just temporary friends, but a strong friendship that would last forever and ever. Arrow loved them and wanted to be with them every day of his life, and his birthday was no different. Because he could have chosen a party to gather his new kindergarten friends, however, he chose to spend the day with Gaeul and Aisha to play and eat pizza.
Donghae loved to see his son happy and full of friends who cared about him.
Arrow then showered and went to help his dad make snacks after changing into comfortable pajamas. Aisha went to the bathroom and Gaeul waited his turn so that he could have a nice shower too and rest after having run with his friends through the park.
- What are we going to do, dad?
- I don't know. We have pizza that your appa made yesterday. – Donghae replied after opening the fridge – But we have chicken nuggets and fish and cheese sticks.
Arrow looked at Gaeul who shyly whispered:
- Cheese sticks, Jiwoon-ah.
The birthday boy chuckled and said:
- We can eat cheese sticks with ketchup, dad.
Donghae nodded and took a box out of the freezer.
- Well, do you want to watch a movie?
- We could play restaurant. – Gaeul suggested and Arrow quickly agreed – But only if uncle Hae lets him.
Donghae smiled.
- Of course you can play that you are in a restaurant. I'll prepare some light snacks.
- But we're still going to eat the cheese stick, right, dad?
- Yes, Arrow. And why don't you help me set the table?
The boy nodded happily and Donghae took the silicone plates, handing them to his son who placed each one on the table in the kitchen. Aisha finished showering and changed into her pajamas, then Gaeul went to the bathroom.
Donghae made popcorn and cucumber salad for the children, as he wanted them to eat well before bed. He also fried the cheese sticks and made lemonade because Aisha asked, since she didn't drink soda – and Arrow certainly didn't want to drink soda if his best friend was going to drink juice.
After Gaeul had showered and also changed into his dinosaur pajamas, Donghae was their waiter and served them some hot and fresh food.
- The food is very delicious, uncle Hae. – said Aisha – I like the salad.
- Glad you liked it, dear. – he smiled at her – Would you like more juice?
Aisha nodded and Donghae poured juice into the bee cup they had at home for her. The boys also ordered more juice and then more cucumber salad – the popcorn would be for when they went to watch a movie before bed. But they had fun eating the cheese sticks while talking about what happened at school that day.
- I wish I had played soccer with you and Dasom. – said Arrow to Gaeul and Aisha pouted – What is it?
- You only talk about her, Arrow.
- Because she's my friend too.
- And why didn't you call her for your birthday? – asked Gaeul – We could play a lot with her and play soccer.
Arrow opened his mouth to say it was a good idea, but he stopped when Aisha crossed her arms and deepened her pout. Donghae saw that and refrained from laughing, but still found it cute when his son's best friend was shown to be jealous of Dasom's mere presence.
- You don't like Dasom, do you, Aisha?
- No.
- Why?
- Because I don’t like. And if she had come, I wouldn't be here. I was going to ask omma to take me just to give you the gift.
Pursing his lips, Arrow picked up a cheese stick and glared at him. Gaeul didn't understand what was going on and Aisha sulked. Donghae had to in:
- Do you want to sleep in Arrow's bedroom or living room today? I can make hot chocolate if you want.
The three looked at Donghae, and Arrow replied:
- In the living room! We can camp out in the living room today. – he looked at his friends – Do you want to?
They nodded and Donghae went to get the air mattress from Arrow's room for the kids to sleep on. Arrow looked at Aisha and asked:
- Are you mad at me, Ai? – she looked at him and shrugged – I won't call Dasom, Ai. .
- I don’t care.
Arrow pouted and crossed his arms. He didn't want Aisha to be angry with him on his birthday, but he didn't know what else to do. Aisha was usually so nice to Arrow's friends, however, she couldn't stand Dasom being around.
Donghae came back and saw Aisha ignoring Arrow. As he imagined what was going on, the brunet called the girl to talk in the living room while the boys ate in the kitchen.
- What's up, Ai? You were so happy today.
- It's just that I don't like Dasom, uncle Hae. She is annoying and keeps saying mean things about me.
- What kind of mean thing?
- She says I can't play with Arrow and Gaeul because I don't know how to play soccer. She also said that my hair is ugly and that no one would be my friend at school. – Donghae was surprised and was about to say something
