well I just wanted to say that I'm going on a hiatus with this fanfic until April because I need to finish two more stories (if you're interested in the ABO universe, I'm writing this one and this one)

Arrow had no idea how big of a secret he had in his hands.

He just couldn't imagine any of it as he went silently back to his room and lay down on the bed. With a chuckle, Arrow looked up at the ceiling and thought about what he'd just seen. Being a child, he didn't think that it could be a dream or an illusion because he was still feeling bad. Arrow was only aware that his parents kissed in the kitchen and that's it.

And that is all.

But Arrow eventually fell asleep and dreamed of a happy day with his parents walking hand in hand as he skipped along the beach with Ghost. Arrow didn't know why or how, but that's how things went in his mind. He had no idea how happy he was. All he knew was that it hurt as he grinned from ear to ear.

In the kitchen, Donghae couldn't stop smiling as Hyukjae made the food so Arrow could have lunch before showering and heading home with his appa. The two were in good rapport and talked about things in life, but they kissed occasionally. It was as if they were continuing that first date that was important in every aspect of it.

- Did you think this could happen?

Hyukjae smiled at Donghae as if he really didn't understand that question.

- What exactly?

- Both of us. Did you think all this could happen?

- Well... I always wanted this to happen. I think if I believed in a shooting star, I would have asked you and me to get back together.

Donghae laughed and approached Hyukjae, laying his head on his shoulder and whispering:

- It would be amazing if a shooting star brought us together.

- That's true. But anyway, we are together now and we have a little star in our lives. That counts, doesn't it?

- Yes, it does. – and so he walked away to get some wine – We just have to be careful now.

- Why?

- Well, we're doing everything in secret. If we kiss and Arrow comes, he'll tell everyone.

- But would it be so bad if they knew?

Donghae bit the corner of his mouth.

- Do you already want them to know?

- Only if you think they might know. What I don't want is to have to take a friend my friends don't know and say he's my boyfriend. I don't want to lie about my feelings anymore. – and so Hyukjae hugged Donghae's waist, kissing the tip of his nose – By the way... Do you want to be my boyfriend?

If Donghae was dreaming, he didn't want to wake up. It all felt too real to be true.

- I want to be your boyfriend. – and they smiled as they hugged each other – I love you, you know?

- Then I doubt it.

They chuckled and Hyukjae quickly got back to the stove before the food burned. Donghae shook his head and went to do other things, but he ended up stopping by Arrow's room to check on his son. Obviously the little one was sleeping and Donghae smiled as he held his hand and looked at Arrow's fingers. Despite having said that it was ok for the boy to spend the week at the appa's house, the brown-haired man wanted to spend the whole week pampering his baby, but he knew that both would have time to rest each in their own time – and Arrow would have fun at the same time in his appa’s home.

Arrow was more than satisfied after having eaten a delicious lunch with his parents. And when he learned that he was going to spend the week at his appa's house, the boy was overjoyed and started making countless plans – but he didn't really like the idea of ​​having to go to kindergarten the next day. Either way, Arrow's excitement at that moment was enough to make him forget he ever saw his parents kissing earlier.

- Will you miss me, baby? – Donghae asked Arrow who giggled and nodded – Daddy will miss you so much, but it's good that you spend this week with appa because he missed you too.

- Come with us daddy. – Arrow genuinely suggested – Or appa can come here and stay with us. So we live here in our house.

The parents looked at each other.

Arrow pouted and crossed his arms.

The parents laughed and Donghae said:

- You unfortunately can't have a little pig, but we can see a baby pig. And it's not just the pig. We can see more animals too.

Arrow celebrated.

- I want to go there, appa. When are we going?

- On the weekend.

- Can Aisha and Gaeul go too?

- I don’t know. Maybe we should talk to their parents so we can find out if they can come with us.

Arrow jumped up and smiled at Ghost who brushed his head against his leg. The boy giggled, carried his cat and said:

- I'll miss you, Ghost. But I'll come back and I'll bring you a fish. – the cat meowed and Arrow hugged him before leaving him on the floor – I'm going to miss my daddy, but I'll be back on Saturday, right?

- Of course you will. – Donghae kissed Arrow's cheeks and hugged him tight – I love you so much, little star.

- I love you very much, dad.

And so Arrow held Hyukjae's hand as he waved at Donghae who waved and watched the two of them going to the car. Not that that parting would last for centuries, but Donghae felt it would take forever to see Arrow again. Arrow, meanwhile, was happy and waved at his dad before getting in the car and sitting comfortably in his car seat. Hyukjae looked at Donghae and nodded, smiling and making a sign as if to say he would call later.

And Donghae would look forward to it.

- So Arrow... Excited to spend the week with me?

- Yes. Will you take me to school?

- Sure. And I will pick you up too. I'll take you to ballet and football.

- Yay! You will see me playing and dancing. I'm really good at football and I always dance with Aisha. Grandma Mikyong said we're a really cute couple.

Hyukjae smiled.

- Glad you're doing well in your activities outside of school. Do you have anything else in mind?

- No... – and then he smiled – Can we travel one day, appa? Me, you and my daddy.

- And why do you want to travel with us?

- Just because.

Hyukjae laughed.

- Just because is not an answer. Why do you want to travel?

Arrow tapped his chin and said:

- Because I like to travel and I never traveled with my appa and my daddy.

And as much as he still didn't understand where Arrow got that idea from, Hyukjae didn't think it was bad. He figured a family trip would be a good idea for the moment. And as things were heading towards a good place, Hyukjae said:

- Then we'll talk to your dad, but you really want to do a lot of things now.

Arrow chuckled.

- I like to go out and party, appa.

Hyukjae laughed and nodded. Despite his age, Arrow was a party kid and liked to travel wherever the fun was. Hyukjae was really curious to see his son in his teens as it would mean birthday parties would get more and more conceptual and Arrow was an excellent host. The kid really knew how to throw a party and he was only four years old.

And with Arrow's fifth birthday approaching, Hyukjae and Donghae needed to know if he wanted to party or just go out with his two best friends for pizza. Arrow didn't stop saying that he just wanted to go to the movies with Gaeul and Aisha and then have a snack – Hyukjae even asked about the party, but the little one smiled and said: I want to spend time with my best friends, appa. Hyukjae just thought about how Arrow was growing up too fast.

But then, before heading home, Hyukjae went to the restaurant and Arrow was obviously pampered by Heechul who knew how he would miss the little one when they left for Jeju. It would be very difficult to be away from everyone, but it was a good opportunity to expand the business.

Arrow cheered and thought about telling his uncles what he saw earlier, but then something told him not to because no one would believe him. In a way, Arrow couldn't tell what it was. He just had a feeling it might happen.

But after Hyukjae talked to Leeteuk about how they were going to work that week, he left with Arrow who was already dozing. And when he got home, Hyukjae just put the pajamas on Arrow and let him sleep peacefully in his bed. The backpack for the next day was already packed and all Hyukjae did was text Donghae and say that their son was fine and probably ready to explore the world.

And Donghae was very happy about it.

But then the next day arrived and Hyukjae took Arrow to kindergarten and told him not to eat another kid's lunch – and he also told the teachers what happened so Arrow wouldn't get sick again.
