Connecting Dots

Acquisitive (T.O.P x OC)

The horror film he had selected was beyond terrifying, however the roles seemed to have reversed when he was the one tightening his grip in your hand. You knew he was doing it purposely however, for every time you managed to let your eyes leave the screen, you would find his eyes falling towards the screen, and the smile that took his lips every time was a dead give away. You admired it for it reminded you of middle school days where you went on simple dates like this, and truly got to know the person beside you.

“Why is he doing that?” His attention was forced on the screen for you didn’t look away this time, however as you glanced at the screen and seen what was happening, you couldn’t help but to smile softly, knowing he must not have been paying attention at all.

“That was his goal from the beginning” you ensured which caused a soft pink hue to kiss at his cheeks as his eyes stared innocently towards you before returning to the screen.

“I knew that” he nodded a few times before continuing his attention on the screen, but you still caught him glancing when you looked away from him.

The movie finally came to a finish and awkward silence roamed the room as you took a second to glance towards him. He seemed nervous, unsure of what to do next, which made you wonder how many proper dates he had been on, and obviously it wasn’t a lot. Letting him off the chain, you would lie your back against the headboard as you got comfortable, opening your arms towards him.

Watching as he got comfortable and making your lap his own personal pillow, you couldn’t help but to smile at him as you allowed your fingers to get lost within his hair. “Would you date me?”

The question made your heart race within your chest as your eyes widened, alarmed at his sudden inquisition. “I would” you whispered honestly, surprising even yourself for you knew well that dating him would be faced with several challenges, yet at this moment it didn’t matter. What mattered was how he made your heart race, how his smile made you want to melt, and how his kiss would set your entire body on fire, despite how innocent the kiss was.

“Even if I might be horrible at it?” He asked, keeping his eyes towards the ceiling as though avoiding your attention.

“Would you stay loyal?” You asked instead and his eyes quickly found your own as he sat himself up, grabbing your jaw softly and allowing his thumb to line your jawline.

“I promise” he whispered softly, and you couldn’t stop yourself from leaning into him, wishing to feel the heated kiss he always provided, his lips quick to capture yours as he pulled you down gently, your back hitting the mattress as you watched him climb over you. “I promise you.”

~*~ His POV ~*~

He didn’t think she could handle someone like him, someone who constantly had reminders of his playboy days, yet the only thing she asked of him was his loyalty. He knew he could do it, because ever since meeting her and discovering his desire towards her, he hadn’t the muse for anyone else. He never expected her to make the first move, but when her lips brushed against his, he couldn’t hold back anymore.

The emotions that ran through him were new to his world, her simple kiss bringing an intoxicated high that he couldn’t even achieve during the craziest of nights. He didn’t have to go all the way with her in order to feel desired and wanted, the way her arms wrapped around his frame and pulled him closer was enough to make him feel secure in her life. The way she would stop the kisses if only to stare at him with awe and respect would be enough to satisfy him from his hungriest needs, from his true and honest desires.

“I love you” the words slipped from his lips as he rested his forehead against her own, closing his eyes as the smell of cinnamon filled his entire being.

He realized she had become stiff under him, and could feel her eyes staring at him, and that’s when he realized what he had just blurted out, his eyes opening in pure fear of the reaction he may receive. His heart raced, but he couldn’t decipher if it was because he didn’t wish to be rejected, or if it was because he was scared she loved him too. His world was spinning at that very moment, the silence between them saying a thousand words and creating a thousand thoughts.

“Do you really?” He didn’t expect that answer, and now it was his turn for his body to stiffen, his eyes falling to a close once more as he asked himself honestly, yet he didn’t have to think long before a nod would take to his head. “I love you too” she spoke softly, and he couldn’t be anymore aware of just how fast his heart raced within his chest at those simple words.

He suddenly became selfish, needing more of her attention as his lips captured hers once more, hungry and desperate as though she were the air he breathed. His elbows that lifted the weight from her would bend slightly, allowing her body to be felt against him, her legs wrapping harshly around his waist, her arms pulling him impossibly closer. It became obvious to him, that she needed him too, that she was just as hungry as he was for attention.

‘Ping’

He hated his phone at that moment, yet it didn’t seem to stop the female from biting onto his lower lip, demanding his attention stay on her, and it was easy to ignore the notification.

‘Ping, Ping’

He continued to ignore the echoing noise from across the room, instead breaking the kiss and allowing his lips to travel down her neck, enjoying the hitch in her breath when he found the right spot. Nipping softly at the spot, he loved feeling her nails rake into his shoulder, loved that her hips bucked in order to meet his own, encouraging him further.

‘Ping, Ping’

Ignored.

‘Ringtone blaring’

“Are you kidding me” he cursed onto her neck as he stood himself up and reached for the device, not needing to look at the display screen to know who was calling him at odd hours in the night. Rejecting the call, his attention would turn back towards Abi, however he could see that her attraction was gone, that she was no longer interested in continuing, for now she was sitting up and fixing the clothes that must have ridded up her body when she slid towards the bed. “I’m sorry” he whispered as he looked towards the ground.

“It’s okay” he was surprised that she didn’t sound angry, but instead opened her arms towards him, a soft chuckle leaving his lips. “What?” She asked as she tilted her head, watching him carefully as he laid himself back onto the bed, opening his arms instead for her.

“Come here” he whispered softly, alarmed when she nodded and cuddled into his chest, his embrace falling around her waist and pulling her closer, leaving soft kisses against her shoulder, his fingers reaching up to entangle themselves within her hair.

‘Ringtone blaring’

He hated himself for not turning off his phone, leaving his phone in the corner of the room and not bringing it with him, for now they were forced to listen to the entire length of the call. He could feel her stiffen under him, could sense that she hated it just as much, and the guilt that lined him wasn’t enough. He deserved a lot worse, for she still didn’t stray from him, but would instead run her fingers along his arm as though indicating she wasn’t leaving.

‘Ringtone blaring’

It was relentless as she sat herself up once more, this time being the one to grab the device, throwing it towards the bed in a gentle toss. He felt even guiltier, for he knew she read the name on the screen, and he knew the hearts that surrounded it, the nasty picture that showed up on her contact. It was his way of remembering which one she was, the one he called often when finding himself sober and bored during long nights of training, and thus he took a picture and claimed it to her number and contact, her name reading ‘babes’.

“Answer it, she’s not going to stop” Abi whispered as she grabbed her showing items from her dresser and began towards the door. “I’m going to shower first, I’ll be back” but he wasn’t blind to the pain in her voice, his eyes falling towards the phone that was ringing once again, but he didn’t care about that, he cared about the woman who was leaving the room and would probably not come back, despite her words saying she would be.

“Abi” he whispered, standing himself from the bed, alarmed when she looked back towards him, a red hue kissing her cheeks indicating that she felt something she wasn’t expressing. “Please don’t leave… Get a shower later” he wasn’t an idiot, she was trying to escape him.

She was debating and he could see the debation in her eyes as she glanced from him and then towards the showering room down the hall. He could have sworn that she chose him as she took a step back into the room, but when his phone began once more, her decision was secured as she looked away and retreated the step she took forward.

“You should answer that” she whispered once more before hurrying from his view, leaving him to sigh heavily as he felt like his heart was breaking inside, knowing that he had hurt her already and that she didn’t deserve the pain he brought to her.
