Mini Drama: Devil’s Tears:  The Trigger

 

Jeonghan stayed in Wonwoo’s mansion- rather, Wonwoo’s family. The others were afraid, but they had become used to it. Well, one demon is a great training enough to handle another one. And Jeonghan seemed to be nice for the past few days, so they were willing to adopt him for a moment. Wonwoo didn’t say anything, which surprised others. He seemed willing to adopt the lost beauty around his mansion.

 

Wonwoo began staring blankly at the skies ever since his brothers had once united. Indeed, he’s becoming weaker and weaker, but he never told anybody. He wished to rest but then, he still had no clue of what the reaper angel had told about the answer he’s been looking for.

 

What was the thing he would retrieve? Was there anything he had lost?

 

Those questions had always been inside his mind ever since Seungcheol spoke to him about it. And, it was never solved up until today. He’s very irritated when he thought of that; nevertheless, he wouldn’t mind staying with his ‘FAMILY’ for the meantime, while searching for the answer with the ambiguous question.

 

One moment, while Mingyu and Seungkwan were left alone in the garden, Mingyu suddenly asked about the seemed-to-be-impossible answer to his question.

 

Mingyu:

Seungkwanie~

 

Seungkwan:

Yes?

 

Mingyu:

Do you know how to save demons?

 

Seungkwan:

(He smiled)

You really love your guardian demon, huh?

 

Mingyu:

I love you too.

(Sent Seungkwan a flying kiss)

 

Seungkwan:

(Gladly received it)

Well, they have to retrieve what was taken from them. They should redeem what they have lost.

 

Mingyu:

What do you mean?

 

Seungkwan:

Only they know.

(He smiled as he went back watering the plants)

 

Mingyu:

(He sighed)

I wish I could help him and Jeonghan and Vernon too.

I miss Vernon hyung.

 

Seungkwan:

Don’t say his name.

(He said coldly)

 

Mingyu:

(Looked at him)

Why?

Aren’t you missing him?

I thought you were close.

 

Seungkwan:

(His eyes got darker)

We are not. I’m an angel, he’s a devil.

 

Mingyu:

(Upon his observation, Seungkwan seemed angry about something)

Wait, did you guys fight?

(He suspected… as usual)

 

Seungkwan:

Why would you say that?

There’s no way we could fight.

We don’t even mind each other.

 

Mingyu:

I think Vernon likes you, that’s why he comes here often the last time.

But I never saw him ever since the Jun hyung’s party.

 

Seungkwan:

Aigoo.

Let him be.

 

Mingyu:

You sure?

 

Seungkwan:

I am pretty sure. And I am happy that he’s not showing up.

I’ll go ahead.

I have to prepare food for us.

I’m hungry.

 

Mingyu:

You always are, though.

(He teased)

 

Seungkwan didn’t bother to reply, Mingyu thought he annoyed him, so he followed him to apologize, but someone blocked his way to his cute chubby butler. It was Seungcheol.

 

Seungcheol:

Hi Mingyu!

(He smiled gently)

How are you?

 

Mingyu:

Oh! Angel!

 

Seungcheol:

Any problem?

 

Mingyu:

I think I made Seungkwan angry.

 

Seungcheol:

He’s not.

He’s thinking about something.

 

Mingyu:

Vernon?

 

Seungcheol:

(He smiled)

There’s a chance.

 

Mingyu:

Do you know something?

 

Seungcheol:

All I know is they were, somehow connected to each other from their past lives. I’m not sure if it’s after or during Seungkwan’s human form.

 

Mingyu:

Human form?

 

Seungcheol:

Yeah. We are humans before, just like the devils.

We too are sinners, and we are placed on this job in order to pay the price. Like you know, we repent in the end and seek for light.

 

Mingyu:

Do you know something from your past?

 

Seungcheol:

Nope.

 

Mingyu:

I see.

How will you remember?

 

Seungcheol:

No clue.

 

Mingyu:

Oh~

Ummm, Seungcheol ssi?

 

Seungcheol:

Yes?

 

Mingyu:

I would like to know if the heavens will forgive someone like Wownwoo hyung and the others?

 

Seungcheol:

Why?

Are you trying to save them?

 

Mingyu:

Yeah.

But I think it’s gonna be hard.

 

Seungcheol:

It’s harder than you thought, my boy.
(He smiled and tapped Mingyu’s shoulders)

Set him free.

Mingyu:

(He chuckled)

 

Seungcheol:

(Tapped Mingyu’s head lightly)

 

Mingyu:

Seungcheol gladly entered Wownoo’s mansion. It didn’t surprise anybody that Wonwoo was not surprised. Anyway, it’s only a waste of time if they would think or ask for it.

 

Seungcheol:

(Decided to greet the demon)

Hi there, Wonwoo!

 

Wonwoo:

(Looked at him and sighed)

Another visitor, ei?

 

Seungcheol:

Don’t worry, I won’t bother you.

I just visit to see how you guys are doing.

 

Wonwoo:

We are not your responsibility.

 

Seungcheol:

You are.

(He smirked)

I keet them as my assignment.

 

Wonwoo:

Great for you.

 

Seungcheol went close and whisper.

 

Seungcheol:

You are getting weaker, demon.

But you must not let your guard down.

(He muttered)

 

Wonwoo:

His words were halted when he heard a sweet voice from above the staircase.

 

Jeonghan:

Wonwoo ya, can I go with you in your office?

 

Seungcheol looked at him from the balcony with his widened eyes. Jeonghan was surprised upon seeing him too, but it made him think why he didn’t feel anything at all. It’s not heavy anymore.

 

Wonwoo:

Do as you wish.

(He responded to Jeonghan’s question quickly)

 

Jeonghan:

I-I see.

Okay.

(He backed out to the dark as he was flustered with Seungcheol’s appearance.)
