Mini Drama: Devil’s Tears: Birthday Gift

 

          Mingyu were still in Jun’s room, listening to his beloved hyung’s story, but first, Jun advised him to prepare his heart because the Jun he knew was not the real Jun at all.

 

          Mingyu was not prepared; even though, he thought he was. Then, Jun started to tell his story to Mingyu.

 

Jun:

I am master’s servant since I was a kid.

He picked me up in-

 

Mingyu:

A garbage?

(He barged in.)

 

          Jun chuckled because Mingyu was indeed an adorable person.

 

Jun:

Maybe, but…

Wait, who told you that?

 

Mingyu:

Master did.

 

          Wonwoo on the other hand, was hearing their conversation and he couldn’t help but to let out a laugh upon hearing how stupid Mingyu was. He was really innocent after all.

 

Jun:

I see. So, you got curious about me too?

 

Mingyu:

Guilty.

(He laughed scratching the back of his head.)

 

Jun:

Alright.

(He smiled)

So, I was claimed from my auntie in China when I was a kid.

He held my hand, but I don’t remember what happened next.

Anyway, he said, I was just five years old that time, so I hardly remember everything.

 

Mingyu:

Why did he get you?

 

Jun:

Mingyu:

Have you thought of your aunt sometimes?

 

Jun:

          They both laugh, but after wards, Jun continued telling his story.

 

Jun:

(He cleared his throat before continuing)

Anyway, same with you. He let me go to a school, he groomed me, and he taught me everything.

It’s not easy but it’s not hard living with him if you are used to it.

 

Mingyu:

What did he taught you?

 

Jun:

He trained me to be indifferent.

He trained me to be smart.

And he trained me to clean every dirty works he does.

 

Mingyu:

Jun:

When I was growing up, and as I enter the university, the master was getting colder than before. I thought he was getting bored.

Then, he started his mini game again.

I was his knight in his chest. He was the king.

I played as he commanded.

I tempted people to search for the demon of greed. I made them worship him.

But I wasn’t sure how they talk about everything.

Until… I tempted a man, who’s Joshua’s father.

 

Mingyu:

Did you know that he was Joshua’s father?

 

Jun:

I tempted him to the point that he became wild.

The old man became so greedy and left his only son dying out of hunger locked inside their house.

He forgot about his family, he forgot about everything and got himself hooked in everything my master had offered him.

One day…

The man violated the master’s rule and in the blink of an eye, he seized everything from him. He offered his son in exchange for another chance, but master did not allow him. He became so scared knowing that he would be killed. He ran back home and locked himself with his forgotten son.

He was angry and beat his only child to death.

 

Mingyu:

How did you know?

 

Jun:

I was there.

I was the one assigned to kill him that night.

 

Mingyu:

Did you kill him?

 

Jun:

Not yet.

 

Mingyu:

Then, did you recognize Joshua hyung.

          Jun wore his gloves and locked the knife tightly on his fist. He suspended his hand in the air preparing himself to kill the greedy man beside him. He hesitated because Joshua was looking, and who would know that it would be his last kill…then, suddenly…
