Mini Drama: Devil’s Tears: 7 Deadly Sins

 

          After the attack, Jun was carried by the two young men who frantically rushed him to the hospital.

 

          Jun was critical. He was struggling to live because he already lost too much blood; in addition, what made it difficult for him was because his artery was severely damaged by the blade that pierced his body.

 

As a human, he was supposed to have a blood transfusion because of his situation, but miraculously, he didn’t need it anymore. His body provided it for him; however, it took hours before his body to do that. Nevertheless, his operation was still going on.

 

Meanwhile, Mingyu and the others were waiting anxiously outside the operating room, hoping that their beloved hyung would survive.

 

Mingyu:

(With his hands clasping together)

Please be alright, hyung. Please.

(He kept on praying)

          After a few hours of waiting, besides from feeling anxious, Mingyu was deeply confused thinking of what had happened in the devil’s room when they weren’t around.

 

On the other hand, the news reached Joshua, and he immediately went to the hospital leaving all his work to check the boys out. Upon his arrival at the hospital, Joshua checked Mingyu first to see if he’s hurt.

 

Joshua:

What happened?

Are you hurt?

( Mingyu’s face gently)

 

Mingyu:

I’m fine.

(He looked so sad and gloomy with the blood all over his shirt)

Jun hyung got stabbed. He’s badly hurt, hyung.

 

 

Joshua:

What?! H- how? Who would do that?

(Frowning his brows as he became worried)

 

          Mingyu did not reply. He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know if he would cover up for the devil or not. Besides, he wasn’t aware about the real story due to his absence in the room; moreover, he was not convinced that Wonwoo could do such thing or he chose not to believe. He really didn’t want to accept the possibilities that his hyung would do that to his own son; nonetheless, he couldn’t help but doubt, since he was the only one present in the room carrying the bloody blade on his hands. As if someone would try to break into a creepy house like Wonwoo’s.  The boy was so confused that all he did was to shut his mouth and lean his head towards the small framed man beside him.

 

          Looking upon Mingyu’s expression, besides from his bloody clothes, he assumed that Jun was in really bad shape. He became so worried, but he couldn’t do anything but to pray and to wait for the result.

 

While waiting, Joshua suddenly remembered the memories that flashed after passing out from the last time they went to fetch Wonwoo at the mountains. Those memories were a combination of sad and happy thoughts with his family, especially with his father, but it confused him when he saw Jun. Not only as his boss, but as a friend since they were young. He could see him playing with him, walking with him, and smiling at him. He could also remember the sad Jun when they somehow say goodbye with each other, but didn’t know the exact reason why; moreover, another part of his memory tells him that they met again at a store where he used to work with; though, he wasn’t sure how and why. His memories weren’t that clear yet, but somehow, those memories were telling him that Jun was someone special for him.

After Jun’s oddly successful and speedy operation, Doctors and other medics wondered how the boy survived without any transfusion or complication or anything; moreover, it was not an easy case because most patients who had that incident, died. They even find his DNA strange, since they couldn’t identify his blood type at first, but luckily, Seungcheol in DK’s body handed the young man’s (DK) blood after the first test, so Jun was saved from any speculations.

 

As soon as the Doctor opened the door, they immediately stood up and approached him.

 

Joshua/ Mingyu:

Doctor, how is he?

 

Doctor:

He’s fine.

I think miracles happen.

(He smiled gently)

 

          Just then, nurses began pulling Jun out of the room and delivered him carefully to a private room.

 

          Mingyu and Joshua were so relieved knowing that Jun survived, and they immediately followed Jun. However, they didn’t notice that their sweet butler was not present with them.

 

-Inside the Room-

 

Mingyu was resting at the couch, while Joshua went near Jun to caress his face.

 

Joshua:

Thank goodness you are safe.

(He muttered)

 

DK:

(Appeared out of the blue)

He will surely be. Don’t worry.

(With a strange smirk on his sweet face)

 

          It surprised the both of them of the butler’s sudden appearance in the room. Well, Mingyu was not totally naïve. He knew that DK was somehow a mystery; provided that, they’ve only known each other for a couple of days. He thought that he was not normal like any other people, since Jun hired him to live with the demon.

 

 Actually, none of them were normal in the first place, except maybe from Joshua? Because firstly, Jun was a halfling, since he’s Wonwoo’s son. There’s a demon blood within him; secondly, Mingyu himself. He didn’t think he’s normal because who would think that a demon was actually good, right? Only Mingyu could do that; and thirdly, Seungkwan, their cute butler. For the reason of staying with his weird masters, despite of knowing that his life was at stake. He knew Wonwoo was a real demon. He saw and experience it himself. Seungkwan knew that it would be dangerous living with them; moreover, when he had the chance to escape, he chose to stay. Who’s brave and pathetic to do that? Only Seungkwan could. And now, there’s DK. Mingyu thought that he was somehow normal at first with his jolly and sweet character, but he couldn’t help but notice that sometimes, he’s as cold and scary as Wonwoo. Maybe a lighter version of Wonwoo. Well, at least, Wonwoo didn’t have the intention of hiding his evilness, but in DK’s case, he wasn’t sure if he’s evil or not.

 

          DK noticed that Mingyu was looking at him and gave him a jolly smile.

 

DK:

Is there something you want, Mingyu?

 

Mingyu:

(He was startled)

Ah- no.

(He giggled awkwardly)

You wanna eat?

 

DK:

You hungry?

Want me to get something for you?

 

Mingyu:

Let’s go out and buy food for us.

(Looked at their clothes covered with blood)

DK:

Oh!

I always bring an extra clothes for you, since Seungkwan told me so.

(He giggled coldly)

Anyway, I have my own too, just in case.

 

          And so, they went to the car and left Joshua with Jun.

 

When they already had some time alone, Mingyu asked him of something.

 

Mingyu:

Ummm… DK?

 

DK:

(Back to the sweet DK)

Hmmm?

(He approached gently)

 

Mingyu:

Do you know about my family?

Did Jun hyung tell you?

 

DK:

(He laughed)

Nothing much yet.

Why?

 

Mingyu:

Nothing. It seems that you know something?

 

DK:

Is there something I must know?

 

Mingyu:

Well, it’s for your own survival.

(Paused for a while)

I mean, so you won’t have a heart attack. You know.

(He explained cutely with a very serious warning.)

 

DK:

I think I might have a clue, Mingyu. Don’t worry. I won’t have a heart attack.

(He giggled)

 

Mingyu:

Really?

(He emphasized)

          DK grasped his breath with his eyes enlarged and mouth wide opened upon hearing those statements from his young master. He didn’t know how to react, since he wasn’t so sure if he was telling the truth or not. Hopefully not.

 

DK:

A d-demon you say?

 

Mingyu:

Yeah.

(He answered innocently)

 

DK:

Oh god!

(He looked innocently shock. He’s still out of breathe.)

 

Mingyu:

Why?

(Noticed that the man was getting unwell)

 

DK:

For real?! Like real?!

(He was trying to confirm, but he still hoped it’s not true)

 

Mingyu:

Yeah?

O, c’mon!

(He looked troubled and his sweat started rolling down his forehead.)

DK:

That you all came from different mother or father. Like…

(He gulped)

DK:

(He trembled)

DK:
