After the young man passed out, he thought that he could finally escape the cruel world he was in. But then, as he opened his eyes, he was still seeing the same image he saw before closing his eyes and it was a cold man, wearing his cold red eyes while watching his sufferings.
Mingyu:
(He smirked)
So, did I go to hell?
Wonwoo:
No kid, you’re still concealed in this cruel world.
You must be cursed.
(He teased the poor young, innocent man in front of him.)
Mingyu:
(He sighed)
This must be the consolation of living a cursed life.
Free yet disabled body…
(Looked at the devil casually as if he did not fear him.)
With a devil watching me up to my last breath.
(He was curious about the man and asked him questions.)
Are you really the devil?
Wonwoo:
Yes, I am.
Not afraid?
(He was curious because the poor man did not falter at all.)
Mingyu:
Well, you seemed nice, except for your eyes.
If I die here, will you bury me?
Or…
Eat me?
Wonwoo:
No.
Mingyu:
Then why are you here?
Wonwoo:
You called me here.
Mingyu;
I didn’t ask for help.
Wonwoo:
Your blood called me.
Mingyu:
Then why not kill me?
Or why stay when you have no intentions of eating or burying me?
Wonwoo:
I prefer to see your pain. It’s entertaining.
Mingyu:
Tsk!
(With a sarcastic smile.)
Then what if I don’t die?
Wonwoo:
Not interested at all.
Mingyu:
Is it true that you eat people?
However, the devil didn’t reply, instead he threw another question to the young man.
Wonwoo:
Why are you here?
Mingyu:
I was thrown.
Wonwoo:
And the reason?
Mingyu:
They just don’t want me.
Wonwoo:
You must be a devil.
Mingyu:
An angel. I’m pretty sure of that.
(He tried to comfort himself with his jokes.)
Wonwoo:
(Displayed his uninterested face.)
Your name?
Mingyu:
Does it matter now?
Wonwoo:
No.
Mingyu:
(He felt offended but he answered it anyway.)
Mingyu. Kim Mingyu.
…and you?
Wonwoo:
It doesn’t matter.
Mingyu:
Life is really unfair, huh?
(He murmured)
Wonwoo:
It is.
(He smirked)
Mingyu:
It may take a long time for me to die. Aren’t you bored?
Wonwoo:
I’ve waited alone for years, I won’t be bored by your suffering.
Mingyu:
Right.
Wonwoo looked at him and found out that Mingyu did not have any hatred on his eyes. Instead, he saw a very warm and innocent one.
Wonwoo:
You don’t seem like a criminal to me.
Mingyu:
You bet.
I’m just an innocent man, who happened to have received a curse since birth.
Wonwoo:
Speak your story.
(He demanded.)
Mingyu:
(Looked at the demon.)
Why are you interested in my story?
Wonwoo:
If you don’t want, that’s fine.
Mingyu:
(Irritated on how bossy and cold the devil was.)
Okay. Alright!
(He groaned.)
My mother abandoned me and gave me to my uncle when I was a baby. From then on, I became their slave and nothing else. Like a thing, a disposable one.
That description was short, but the devil already knew that he was just a trash, an excess from this world with no ability, no luck and no all. Then, he grabbed the poor man’s head and see through his memories. (This was one of the gifts the devil had casted him- to see someone’s memory from touching a man’s skin. The reason for this was for him to know who had sinned and who had not; those who had suffer and those who had not. This would help him attract people to sell their souls to the devil too and gradua
