Chapter 43 (Krystal's POV)
Your Love (Effortlessly You Part 2)It was early in the morning, two o'clock to be exact, when I heard light knocks on our door. At first I ignored it, thinking that it might be a sound coming from the bathroom or I'm just hallucinating. But when the knock continued, I got up and opened the door. I was expecting that it was one of our servants so I was surprised to find out that it was my nephew Jin Seo. "Jin? What are you doing here at this hour? Are you having trouble sleeping? Is there anything I can help you with?" I continuously asked my cute nephew who's rubbing his weary eyes while looking up at me.
"Is Uncle Julien awake, Auntie Soojung?" he asked with a slightly hoarse voice because he's still sleepy. I giggled at how cute he looks with his disheveled hair. I wonder what caused him to come here in a hurry to the extent that he forgot to comb his hair.
"Yes, he is. He's currently taking a shower. Why? Would you like to say something to him? You can tell me about it and I'll just pass the message to your uncle."
"I just want to make sure that he didn't forget what we talked about yesterday. Uncle Julien promised that he will help me bake another cake because the one we made yesterday morning was ruined. Maden and Mason hyung said that they're going to help us too."
I'm amazed by the fact that he managed to wake up this early despite sleeping late. He really is amusing. "Is that so? I wonder if Julien remembers that. How about you come inside first while waiting for your Uncle Julien? Let's wake your Maden and Mason hyung too." Since my sons were sleeping soundly, my cute nephew was hesitant to disturb them. "It's okay Jin. They promised to help you bake the cake so it's okay to wake them up this early."
Only after my encouragement did he try to do so. Mason was the first to stir in his sleep. He's used to waking up this early because he often study his lessons at this hour before preparing for school.
"Hey Maden, wake up. It's time for us to bake the cake," Mason said to his brother who's sleeping like a log. After ten tries, my youngest son finally opened his eyes.
"Wow! My apprentices are now awake," I heard Julien say after coming out of the bathroom. In the way he walked and talked it's not obvious that he drank a bottle of wine during his drinking session with my cousins.
"Are you sure that you can manage to bake the cake and supervise them?" I asked, worried that alcohol might mess up his mind. I want the outcome to be perfect because it's Jin's surprise for his parents. The boy might become upset if the result doesn't satisfy him.
"Don't worry. I'm not drunk. I cheated by telling Joong Suk to give me a non-alcoholic wine so I'm completely fine. Would you like to help us? We might need someone as a look out in case your sister wakes up at this hour."
"A look out huh? I'm too beautiful for that. But you're right. A look out i
