-FLASHBACK-

"YAH!!!! JUNG HOSEOK!!!" Seol yelled after her friend. It was the middle of the year for these fifth graders. Hoseok had grabbed Seol'd backpack and was running across the schoolgrounds. "Seollie, you have to catch me~" Hoseok had called back. Their friends were watching in the midst of all the commotion, unsure whether to laugh or to be concerned at the worn out Seol. 

"I swear Hoseok oppa--- AH!" Hoseok had heard Seol's cries and turned. He had found Seol in the dirt crying. He immediately stopped and ran towards Seol. When he came closer, he saw that Seol's knee was cut and was bleeding. He immediately felt guilty. "Seol-ah, I'm sorry." His hand slowly crept up to her wound and Seol flinched from the pain. 

"Don't worry Seollie, I'll call the teachers." With that, Hoseok immediately left and ran into the school building. Seol's friends helped her up onto her feet and slowly limped their way into the building where the teachers meet them half way. They put Seol in a wheel chair and brought her into the nurse's office.

The teachers dismissed the other students to their other classes. Hoseok couldn't focus on the teacher's speech, his mind was left with Seol. It was finally their recess time and the children raced outside the school and into the school yard. Hoseok immediately ran into the nurses office.

"Ah, yes, you're here to see your friend who fell this morning right?" Hoseok nodded. "She's in there." She pointed at the back door. Hoseok bowed and went into the room.

"Seollie." He slowly came in and found Seol on a patients bed and was reading a book.She turned and saw Hoseok and smiled. "Oh, you came." She slowly got up from her place and motioned him to come over and sit next to her. Still feeling guilty, he nodded and followed. There was an awkward sound of silence.

"Are you okay?" He suddenly asked. Seol looked at him, then down at her bandaged knee. "I'm fine,see?" Seol wiggled her leg a little. "It's just a little cut, oppa." Hoseok stiffened a laugh. "I'm sorry." Seol looked at him surprised. "Why are you sorry oppa? You didn't do anything. I just fell." Hoseok shook his head. "I did do something. If I didn't take your book bag, you wouldn't be here... that's why I'm sorry."

Seol looked at her oppa and smiled. "It's okay oppa. I'll forgive you." With that, Seol gave him a surprising hug. Hoseok was confused on what was happening, but knowing that Seol had forgiven him with a sincere heart, he was happy. With that, he hugged Seol back.

"Oppa, can you believe it?! I'm finally ten years old!" Seol gasped out the next day after her birthday. Hoseok only chuckled. "Yeah, you're a big girl now. Maybe now, I won't be embarrassed to be seen with you." Unlike Seol, Hoseok was in the sixth grade. Seol pouted. "You're embarrassed with me oppa?" Hoseok turned and saw a seriou Seol, he could only laugh. "Ani~ I'm just kidding. I'll never be embarrassed to be with you~" Seol smiled. It was lunch time and Hoseok and Seol left together to the cafeteria. Hoseok was the fun, non-silent type of person; yet he was especially quiet today. "Oppa, is there something wrong?"

"I'm moving Seol." He looked down on his food. "What? Where are you going to move? Will it be near, so I could visit?" Seol hadn't grasped the real idea in his moving. 

"Ani, Seol-ah, I'm moving far from here--- I'm moving to Australia." Seol looked at her oppa with shocked eyes. "What?!? Why?!" Hoseok looked up at Seol, who was completely saddened. He sighed. "My family thought it would be nice if I could study abroad, just like my cousins... since we can afford." Hoseok sighed once more. "We're leaving today." 

From then, Seol and Hoseok had spent every moment with each other. Of course, Hoseok had other friends, who'd he told about him leaving weeks ago. He only wanted to be with Seol at this point. 

Their flight would leave tonight and Hoseok was given permission to stay at Seol's until they would leave. They went into Seol's room. The whole space dampened. Everything was silent. "Why do you have to leave like this?" Both children looked at each other with complete saddness. "I don't know. I don't want to leave Seol-ah... I don't want to leave you." 

Hoseok sat closer to Seol. Surprised, she looked at him. He weakly smiled and gave her a piece of paper. "Don't open it until I leave,ok?" Confused, Seol nodded. Hoseok had laid on Seol's bed with her, staring at her ceiling. They would try to get their minds off of the current situation, but nothing worked. Finally, the doorbell rang and Seol's parents were calling for Hoseok. Seol sat up and started to cry. They slowly stood up and hugged each other as tight as they could. Hoseok was the first to leave her room. 

His parents smiled as he slowly came closer. He turned to see that Seol wasn't behind him. He knew that she wouldn't come down. He sighed as he bowed to Seol's parents and left out the door.

Hoseok sat in the back of the car as the car engine started. Suddenly, Seol's front door opened and out came Seol. She ran and taped the Hoseok's window. He let it down. Her eyes were red from all the sniffling.

"Oppa...here." Seol had given him a small box. "Don't open it until your at the airport, ok?" He smiled at her and hugged her once more, holding back his powerful tears. "Goodbye Hoseok oppa, this isn't forever." He chuckled. "Yeah, it's not. Goodbye Seollie." He then closed the window and they drove off. He turned around and saw Seol in the middle of the road, waving at him until the car disappeared from her sight. 

Inside their flight, Hoseok had opened the small box. In it, contained a letter and a bracelet. Without hesistation, he put on the bracelet and started to read the note:

        Dear Hoseok oppa,

                                  If you're reading this, that probably means that you're on the next plane away from me. Haha, that sounds funny, because you're not really leaving me. This letter is messy, only because I just wrote it. We started out as strangers and became best friends. That won't ever change right? You also have the other oppas, Taehyun oppa, Jungkook oppa, and everyone else. This is the bracelet we first made together in the 3rd grade. It was our first group project together~ I'm really going to miss you oppa. Hopefully, you'll miss me too. To confess something, I like you, but you only see me as your dongsaeng. I understand, I always have. I sincerely wish you the best in your new life. I'll wait for you when you come to get me... because this isn't goodbye~

                                             -Your 'Seollie'

Hoseok smiled at Seol's confession. He folded up the paper and put it back into the box. It was late and he was tired. His eyes began to flutter into dreamland. "I liked you too."

Seol had returned into her room, crying. Hoseok oppa was no longer here for her comfort, but he would always be in her heart. Sniffling, she climbed up to her bed and opened the letter Hoseok had given her. Through her blurry eyes, Seol began to read:

        My dear little Seollie,

                                     I'm sorry that I had told you so late that I was leaving Korea... I just didn't want to face your saddened face when I told you. But, I had to face it sooner or later. I didn't want to leave my life I had here, it was so happy. I had no choice of course. It hurt to see your crying face, just like when you cut your knee. Now, I won't be there for you. You were the one who told me that you were a big girl, so let's put it to the test. You know that I will be there for you, spiritually. You were one of the best things in my life... you were my best friend. I could always count on you. Now, I still am. Don't be sad anymore ok? I have left, and there's nothing else to do but accept it. I'm sorry for making you suffer this, just like how I'm still sorry for hurting you--- although you always forgave me... thank you for that. I will come back to find you Seollie. I promise you that. I'll miss you~

                                                                  -Jung Hoseok oppa

Seol's POV

Hoseok oppa lifted me closer to him. I just couldn't believe that he was here... that he had returned back to me... that he found me after all these years. I was confused, but at the same time, happy to see my best friend again. 

"I promised you that I would come back, and I did." I stared at his kind eyes and smiled. He was still the same. "Oppa.. you're here... now. I just--- just can't beieve it." He smiled as he let go of me, letting space come in between us. "I always keep my promises." He stated. I smiled as I hugged him. He did the same. I missed his warm, protective grip as he hugged me. Without knowing it, I felt tear come down my cheeks. we separated and he saw my crying face as he wiped it away from my eyes. "Didn't I tell not to be sad anymore? That included crying." I laughed at his memory and hugged him once more. "I just really missed you, that's all oppa." I heard him sigh. "I missed you too Seol-ah."

I had completely forgotten the act that I was here with the exo oppas as I sat down with oppa on the other side of the ballroom. "Oppa, why do you go by 'J-Hope' now?" "Why? You don't like it?" I laughed. "It's not that, I just want to know why." "It's kinda cheesy though, I mean explaining why I did it." "I'm listening oppa." Hoseok--- J-Hope oppa chuckled. "The 'J' is from my surname 'Jung'. and the 'Hope' part is..." He drifted off and sighed. "The 'Hope' was because of you."

I sat there completely frozen. "Me?" "... Yeah." "Why?" "Because... you are my hope." I couldn't help but burst into laughter.I looke at oppa again, as he was rubbing his neck awkwardly. "Yah..." I stopped laughing and smiled at him, motioning him to continue with the explanation. Oppa sighed. "You were my hope when I was away. Every time I would think of you, our friendship, our memories, I would always have the strength to do anything-- everything." He looked at me with sincere eyes. "You are the only person, besides my parents who I will allow to call me 'Hoseok'. Okay?" I nodded at him. "I must be pretty special then." I cocked out. He could only smile. "Yeah, you are." 

"OH!" I turned to Hoseok oppa. "I have to introduce you to the exo oppas." I jumped up and took his hand, leading him to the other side of the ballroom where the oppas already saw me coming. I waved at them. They smiled at me. Their smiles disappeared when they saw who was behind me. "Oppas, meet my best friend... Ho--- J-Hope oppa."

Chanyeol's POV

Kai and Sehun had told the rest of us that Seol was pulled onto the dance floor by some guy. I looked across the ballroom and no sign of Seol. We gathered a group and were deciding where she would be with this mystery guy--- Tao was the most worried. "Hyungs, what if she was kidnapped? What if that guy drugged her? What if--- OW!" We turned to see Kai's annoyed face as Tao was holding his head. 

Bora had just came back dancing with Luhan hyung. "Bora noona, did you see Seol on the dance floor?" Tao asked with worry. Fortunately, she nodded. "Yeah, I did. I don't recognize the guy, but he's a really good dancer. He and Seol are sitting at one of the back tables. We turned to she where she pointed to see our girl in white coming towards us with the same guy... their hand entwined into one another.

To admit, I really didn't like seeing Seol with another guy... it hurt. She happily waved at us. We waved back. Our smiles disappeared when we saw how close she was with this guy. "Oppas, this is my best friend, Ho--- J-Hope oppa~"

One by one, Seol introduced us to this J-Hope person. "... and this is Park Chanyeol oppa." I slightly bowed as did he. "Oppa, these were the oppas that took care of me when i entered college. This is also my roommate, Yoon Bora." "Oh.. It's nice to meet you all. I'm J-Hope." I turned to look at Seol. I have never seen her so happy before. My heart hurt, knowing that we, the 12 of us couldn't bring her that much happiness while this one person could. 

We sat around the table again, this time bringing along J-Hope. Seol had sat next to him, not even starting a conversation with us. In a matter of time, they had each other's contact information, addresses and more. Unbelievable. Suho's parent's party was finally over, that means, we had Seol back for the night. We watched as the guests left, leaving only J-Hope. Seol hugged him goodbye and he had kissed her forehead. Our mouths dropped as Seol let him and giggled. I felt my hands turn into fists. Finally, Seol came to us and we smiled. I loosened up. At least she was with us now.

Kai's POV

Instead of leaving the villa and going to his mansion, Suho's hyungs parents had rented the entire villa for our usage, meaning we would stay here over night. We took separate parts of the house to get changed from our suits and gowns to comfort clothes. I immerged and saw Seol already sitting on a couch. She saw me coming and smiled at me. 

She looked so adorable that I couldn't help but laugh. "What?" "Nothing." She shrugged as she sat back down on the couch. I sat down next to her. The other members started to file in with their gifts for secret Santa in hand. 

"Okay, everyone, let's get things started." Suho oppa had started. We all gathered by the fire as we raffled who would go first. Tao was first. "I got Suho hyung as my secret Santa." He then gave his gift to Suho hyung. We promised that we would wait until everyone had gotten their mystery gifts. Everything had gone as followed:

              Tao---> Suho--->Sehun--->Luhan--->Bora--->Xiumin--->Chanyeol--->Baekhyun--->Chen--->Kyungsoo--->Lay--->Kris--->Tao

Finally, almost everyone had gotten a gift... except for myself and... Seol. We got each other. My god. Seol smiled and gave me my present. I did the same. 

One by one, we started to open our gifts, in order of course. Tao had gotten Suho hyung a new pair of shoes. Suho had had got Sehun a gift certificate to his favorite bubble tea store. Sehun had gotten Luhan hyung a knit sweater. Luhan hyung had gotten Bora a necklace. Bora had gotten Xiumin hyung a cardigan. Xiumin hyung had gotten Chanyeol hyung a new fluffly hat. Chanyeol hyung got Baekhyun hyung a fashionable dress shirt. Baekhyun hyung had gotten Chen hyung his favorite style of tee-shirts. Chen hyung got Kyungsoo hyung a new pair of headphones. Kyungsoo hyung got Lay hyung a new royal purple back pack. Lay hyung got Kris hyung a fashionable coat. And Kris hyung got Tao a ring collection.

Finally, it was time for Seol and I to open our gifts. I went first. I opened my present and what I saw was very warming. I took out my old pair of sneakers. I looked closer at it. They had been re-modeled. It looked like knew. And, these were my favorite shoes.I had to throw it out because they were too worn. I looked at Seol, who looked slightly embarrassed. "I saw you the other day throwing them out. I've seen you wearing them whenever I would see you... so I decided to work on fixing them..." I smiled. "This is perfect. Thank you Seol-ah."

No One's POV

Lastly, it was Seol's turn. Kai excused himself, saying that he was getting some hot chocolate for them while Seol was opening the small box. She opened it, surprised to see that it was just a piece of paper. 

                                                 Just thought of fixing your most prized possession.... turn around.

Seol had read this out loud, causing all of the members to follow the note. Behind them, was Kai, holding a guitar. Seol gasped, as that guitar was so familiar. "Is that... is that my..." "Yes it is." Kai said. Immediately, Seol ran up to Kai and her guitar. It really was her guitar... all fixed and it looked even better than before. "But how?" Seol looke at Kai confused. The other members were also surprised on how Kai was able to do this. "I know a friend of mine who specailizes in fixing extremly damaged things. The day you threw it out, I collected it and brought to him after Chanyeol hyungs family was asleep---" Before Kai could finish his sentence, he was toppled over by hugger Seol. He looked at her as her eyes were in tears. "Thank you so much oppa~". Kai could only smile and hugged her back. "You're welcome Seol-ah."
