The Last Goodbye

“Why? Dara. Why him?” Jae fires up.

“What do you mean?”

Jae laugh. “Really Dara? You really forget about us ? did you forget that you left me with any reason. Huh? Do you want me to make you remember the night you dumb me. Do you want that .Do you! ”

“Sorry.” Was all I could find to say. I know why he’s mad at me and I can’t blame him from yelling at me.

He hangs his head and starts lossen his tie he’s wearing. I saw jaw clench. He stare at me and I watch his eyes shift through anger. “Sorry? Is that all you can say?”

Tears starts treating to fall to my eyes. He’s hurting, And I’m the one to blame on that. “Sorry Jae. My God. So Sorry I wish you can forgive me.”

“Did you loved me?” he asks me.

“I did loved you Jae. You know that. ”

“but why?... But why did you leave me?” He asks through greeted teeth. He dropped his head and ran a hand through his hair. “ I never thought you’d hurt me, Dara.” He raised his head and suddenly his eyes  full of hurt and betrayal.

I bit my lip to not cry.

“Not you…” I starts to walk towards him but stop when he took a step back.

“I work so hard just to make my promise to you, to have a better future but you’d…” he looked away from me. “How could you do that to me?”

I open my mouth to try  and speak but no words came out.

“you have no idea what I get through just to forget you.”

“Sorry,” I barely whisper.

“Why are you keep saying Sorry, when all I need is an explanation. An explanation for leaving me without any reason.” He almost yelled at me. I know he was trying to control himself from bursting.

“I know I made a mistake from not telling you the reason and I can’t blame you if you can’t accept my apologies because I understand that I made a mistake… ” Tears sprang to my eyes as I look over his hurt and sad face. “But I loved you Jae, I know that you did everything to save our relationship but I was the one who give up on it.” Tears spilled down my cheek now and when he looked back at me, similar tears were on his. “but I love you, Dara. Stayed together. And we’re happy, right?”

He swallowed roughly. And I know why.

“No, Jae… We’re not. If you think about it. Really think about it.  We always fight. We keep balming each other. You … you spent to much with your work that you forgot you have a fiancée that wait for you at home.
