“What’s wrong? You don’t mind, do you?” Jonghyun asked Jinhee.

“No. I don’t mind.” She answered, and held his hand tighter.

They got into Jonghyun’s car and he drove off. It was the town area where the nightlife was bustling on a typical Friday night. His car came to a stop in front of a big building where there were huge windows exposing the rooms inside.

“Noraebang!” Taemin yelled in excitement. “Wow but there’s so many people here!”

The place was crowded with people walking around; heading to the clubs and such. While Luna was standing there amazed by the place, Jonghyun pulled Taemin closer to him and Jinhee. “Taemin, this is your next opportunity to get closer with Luna.”

“You mean, you brought us here for Taemin?” Jinhee said with a tinge of disappointment that it was just to help Taemin out. Jonghyun nodded.

“Really hyung? Wow thanks! But why so sudden?” Taemin asked. “You don’t like it?” Taemin shook his head. “I appreciate it hyung. Thanks!”

“Guys there are SO many people, are you sure we can even get a room here?” Luna asked. Taemin and Jonghyun chuckled. “What’s so funny?”

“You want to get a room?” Jonghyun snickered. “Ah ert! You know what I mean!” Luna smacked him.

“Okay okay sorry! I was just kidding. Anyway, I’ve already booked a room for us this afternoon. Let’s go!”

They went into the building as Jonghyun led the way to the room. It wasn’t the one with the big window but it was definitely big.

“I go first!” Luna said, running straight for the microphone. “Aw I wanted to go first!” Taemin said. “Too bad!”

“Why don’t you guys sing together?” Jinhee suggested. “A duet?” Luna thought about it. “Okay! But ONLY if you two sing a duet as well.” Taemin challenged.

“Oh no no, I can’t sing.” Jinhee said, shaking her head. “It’s on!” Jonghyun interrupted her. Jinhee turned to Jonghyun with a confused face. He pulled her to the couch as Taemin and Luna were choosing their song.

“What are you doing? I can’t sing.” Jinhee said to him. “Have you ever tried to?” He asked. “Maybe in the shower …” Jonghyun chuckled. “But that doesn’t count! I can’t sing!”

He held her hand. “Just try okay? I’ll be singing with you.”

Taemin and Luna decided on an upbeat and funky song. They both pulled it off even adding in some dancing. Taemin’s voice cracked in the middle making the rest burst out laughing. Even Luna had trouble finishing the song because she couldn’t stop giggling.

“Ah this is not fair …. Of all the times for my voice to crack …” Taemin sighed as he collapsed on the couch. “It’s okay Taem, it was really entertaining.” Jinhee said and burst out in laughter again.

Taemin then sat up and pointed at Jinhee and Jonghyun. “YOUR TURN!”

Jinhee’s laughter stopped slowly as she got nervous. “Come on let’s choose the song.” Jonghyun said dragging her to the front.

Jinhee was flipping through the song choices and started giggling at one of them. “What is it?” Jonghyun took a look. “Hmm. Troublemaker? By Hyuna and JS?”

“Aniyo I was just ... the song reminds me of you.” She replied. “Me? I’m a troublemaker to you?!”

Jinhee laughed. “Yes. You totally are a troublemaker.” Jonghyun starting tickling her. “Troublemaker huh? I dare you to say that again!” She couldn't take it and grabbed his wrists to stop assault.

“Awww how cute~~” Luna and Taemin said at the same time.

Jinhee blushed and cleared . “You guys should sing troublemaker!” Taemin said. “Do it Jinhee, you already know the choreo.”

“You do? Let’s do it then.” Jonghyun said. “You know the choreo?” Jinhee asked him. “Well I’ve seen it. I’ll just follow your lead.”

They stood in position and Taemin helped to start the music.

They just stood there, in the ending pose, catching their breaths. “Good job.” Jonghyun said to her. “You too.”

Both Taemin and Luna were just sitting there, mouth open in awe. “You guys …” Taemin started. “Were great.” Luna finished.

They slowly separated and set the mics on the table. Jinhee took a seat next to Taemin and let out a breath. But Taemin noticed something right at that moment.

“Um, hyung … you’re … I think you … uh …” Taemin started to giggle. “Hmm?” Jonghyun placed his hands on his waist. Taemin signalled for Jonghyun to look down. He did and …

“.”

He was hard and a bulge was very obviously showing through his skinny jeans.

Luna and Taemin burst out laughing while Jinhee flushed red. Jonghyun covered his private area using his hands and excused himself.

“Excuse me I think I need to … gotothebathroom.” And he ran out.

Jinhee laughed when he finally left the room. She was still blushing. Taemin even fell from the couch, laughing. “Oh that was too funny.”

“Yah do you know what you just did?” Luna asked nudging Jinhee. “What do you mean what did I just do? I didn’t do anything!”

“Oh you know it was all you Jinhee.” Luna pinched her. “Ouch! Okay I know I know. I … I …”

“Say it Jinhee!” Taemin yelled. “I …” Jinhee covered her face in embarassment.

“YOU TURNED HIM ON!” Taemin yelled and started laughing once again. Jinhee blushed and started fanning herself. “You were too y for him Jinhee.” Luna giggled.

JONGHYUN’S POV

Damn it! Damn it! How much more embarrassing can this get?

Didn’t mean to get myself excited but Jinhee was so, she was so y. We were so close while dancing. My hands were on her hips and she was moving them hnggg. . Okay this is not helping!

NORMAL POV

After he was “done”, Jonghyun went back into the room where Taemin was picking up the mic. “Oh hi hyung. I was just about to sing. Are you relieved yet?” Taemin snickered.

He cleared his throat. “Yes.” He then walked over to the couch and sat next to Jinhee. She giggled and scooted closer to Luna when he did, and hugged Luna’s arm, resting her head on Luna’s shoulder.

“Wae? Why don’t you sit—“

“Shh. Taemin’s about to sing.” Jinhee interrupted him, pointing to Taemin.

Taemin sang a lovely ballad and kept making eye contact with Luna while singing. She was totally mesmerized and only came back to her senses when Jinhee spoke.

“Wah, Taemin’s so cool. Right?”

“Y-yeah. Cool.” She replied. Jinhee giggled in her head. Looks like Taemin’s getting somewhere here. She thought.

After he was done, they gave him a round of applause. Except Jonghyun. “I can do better than that.” He grabbed the mic and sang the exact same song Taemin did. He focused on Jinhee instead of Luna. He even held her hand while singing and looked straight into her eyes.

He gave a playful smirk when he was done and she returned it with a smile. “Careful hyung, don’t get too excited again.” Jonghyun glared at him. “Way to ruin the moment Taem.”

“Come on let’s go somewhere else.” Jonghyun said grabbing both Luna and Jinhee’s hands and went out of the place. “Hey wait for me!” Taemin called out.

“Where’re we gonna go next?” Luna asked. “There are tons of things to do here. Let’s find something fun!” Jonghyun said.

“Let’s go to the arcade!” Taemin suggested. “I think there’s an arcade right there.”

The went to the arcade and played most of the games there. Taemin even won Luna an elephant plushie and Jonghyun won Jinhee a plushie as well.

“I want that one!” Jinhee pointed to a green dinosaur plushie. “The dinosaur? You sure you don’t want a bear or—“

“No! That one! Please~~~~” She pouted. Jonghyun chuckled and pinched her cheeks. “Okay okay.”

The person behind the counter passed it to him and Jinhee took it from him. “It’s so cute!” Jonghyun laughed. “You are so weird. Why didn’t you want the bear or an elephant like Luna?”

“No I like this one more.” She smiled at him.

“Nice dinosaur.” Luna said to Jinhee as Taemin and she came over. “Isn’t it cute?” Jinhee waved the plushie in front of them. “Hmm. I think I know why you chose that.” Taemin smiled. Jinhee smiled and played with the plushie.

“We’ve played every game here. I feel so accomplished.” Taemin said while stretching.

“I have one last place to bring you guys. Follow me.” Jonghyun said. He walked in front as the rest followed. They got into his car. He brought them to a park nearby.

“We could’ve just walked. We weren’t even in the car for more than 3 minutes …” Luna said. “Well, I couldn’t just leave my car there now can I?” Jonghyun said. Luna shrugged.

“This place is so pretty.” Taemin said, observing the park.

It was much bigger and brighter than the park near their homes. There were lights everywhere, which explains why it was so bright. There were also lots of flowers which filled the place with colour. It was filled with people as well, unlike their park which was usually empty. Faint music could be heard from the entrance where they were.

They followed Jonghyun further into the park. They could hear the music getting louder. He led them to where a bunch of people were crowded around and where the music seemed to be coming from.

“Woah!” The three of them said, amazed. There were people in one area as people watched. And there were people singing in another.

“They’re showcasing their talents. It’s just to express yourself.” Jonghyun explained as they heard the crowd on their right cheered for a group which had just performed a breakdancing routine.

“You mean we can just jump in whenever we want to?” Luna asked. “Yup. Are you guys going to –“

Luna and Taemin had gone off even before he finished his sentence. He turned and saw Jinhee watching the dancers in awe. She was about to get closer when he pulled her back.

“Not you. You’re coming with me.” He said. Jonghyun held her hand and brought her further into the park. There were lesser people as they went further but it was still bright and open. They walked up a small hill and it was just an empty grass area now with some people lying and sitting on the grass. It was dimmer and much more peaceful. He brought her towards the edge of the place where there was a view of the town below.

“Woah … are we really that high?” Jinhee asked. “Yup. Didn’t you realise? We were already going uphill when I drove us to the noraebang.”

He took a seat and gestured for her to sit next to him. She sat down cross-legged, still holding her dinosaur plushie.

“Thanks for the plushie.” She said. “No problem. You like dinosaurs? Is that why you chose this one?”

“Actually I chose this one because … it reminded me of you.” Jinhee said, chuckling. “Me?! I look like a dinosaur?!”

“Well … kinda.” She held the plushie next to his face and observed. Jonghyun flared his nostrils and made his hands into claws. She laughed. “Hahahaha you look just like it!” Jinhee even fell on her side, laughing. “But he is cuter though.”

“No way! I’m cuter.” Jonghyun said smacking the dinosaur on its head. “Hey! Don’t hurt him!” Jinhee said, hugging the toy.

“I should give you a name.” Jinhee stared at the toy and started to think. “Since he looks like me … you should name it Jonghyun.”

“Hmm … Jjong then.” Jinhee said, satisfied. “Annyeong Jjong! You’re my new best friend!”

JONGHYUN’S POV

She’s so cute. I don’t know what I’m feeling. Something’s happening to me. Every time I’m with her I feel so happy. Every time I’m with her, I can’t see anyone else.

Do I ….

“Oh look, a full moon. Wow. It’s beautiful.” She said, looking up.

Yeah. She looks beautiful under the moonlight.

I think I …

I like her. 

NORMAL POV

“You like looking at the moon?” Jonghyun asked her.

“Yeah. It reminds me of my mum. She told me something when I was younger. “The moon will always be there. Even though you can’t see it on some days, it’s still there. Just like me Jinhee, just like your brother, just like your father. Even though you can’t see us, we’ll always be with you. Forever.’ That’s what she told me. I miss her.” Jinhee kept her eyes closed as she repeated the words which her mother had told her.

“Where’d she go?” Jonghyun observed her. “She’s passed on.”

“Oh. I’m sorry Jinhee, I didn’t know …” He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling guilty. “It’s okay oppa.”

“That explains why your brother is so protective over you.” Jonghyun said. “Yeah. It’s annoying.” She rolled her eyes. “Guess he’s just looking out for you. He so hates me …”

Jinhee laughed. “He does hate you. A lot.” He nodded. “Thanks.”

“My appa doesn’t hate you though.” Jonghyun’s eyes widened. “Really?! This means I still have a chance.” Jonghyun whispered the last part to himself.

“What about your family?” She asked. “Oh. Well, I’m the youngest too. I have a noona. She’s really pretty. My mum is pretty too! I should bring you to meet them sometime.”

“Really? That’d be great, I’d love to. So um, why don’t you live alone?” Jinhe asked. She shifted her legs so that they were now stretched out in front of her.

“It doesn’t make a difference where I stay. I’ll still be home alone. Everyone else is too busy working. Plus my family … they don’t really like me singing. They want me to take over their business. But I don’t want to. So staying away from home is best for me. I get my privacy too.” He explained.

“You mean, you get to bring girls home.” Jinhee teased. “That too. Hehe.”

“ert …”

“I’m not a ert!”

“Yeah right. Don’t think the situation before at the noraebang has been forgotten.”

Jonghyun buried his face in his hands. “Ugh. Could you just like, forget that happened?” He asked. “Um …. No.”

He buried his face in his hands again making Jinhee laugh.

They both remained quiet after that, just watching the view. Jonghyun turned towards Jinhee and watched her. She could feel his gaze on her. She turned to face him and saw that tender look in his eyes. The same look that he gave her the morning after he had sang to her over the phone. Jonghyun then placed his hand over hers.

It sent her heart racing. She smiled at him. Jonghyun smiled back, observing her features. Her eyes, nose and landed his gaze on her lips. Jinhee observed him as well, wanting to caress his defined cheekbones. Her eyes landed on his lips.

Her lips look so pink.

His lips look so soft.

Without them realising, the gap between them was slowly getting narrower, with their lips headed for each other’s. They were leaning towards one another. Jinhee’s heart felt like it could explode out of her chest. They were only a couple of inches apart and …

“You got a mesiji~You got a mesiji~” Jinhee’s phone went off.

Startled by the tone, both of them snapped back to their senses, and moved back into their original position. Jinhee sat there till her breathing was back to normal, before checking her phone.

“It’s Taemin. They’re waiting for us near the … benches?”

Jonghyun cleared his throat. “Okay. Let’s um, let’s go.” He got up and held out a hand for Jinhee. She got up, holding her dino in one hand.

Jonghyun had walked in front, leading the way when Jinhee caught up with him and held his hand. He was surprised for a moment since she initiated the skinship first. He then looked at their hands and smiled, tightening his grip.

They reached the place where Taemin had mentioned in the text. They found Taemin and Luna, seated on one of the benches side by side, talking and laughing.

“Looks like they’re having fun.” Jonghyun said as they spotted the two. “Hey guys!”

“Where were you guys?! We looked all over!” Taemin said. “Sorry. We went to see the view!” Jinhee said excitedly.

“Mhmm. Why are you so happy now?” Luna raised an eyebrow. “What are you talking about Luna … why are you guys so happy? Hmm? Hmm?”

Jonghyun chuckled when both of them didn’t answer her question. “Uh anyway, it’s getting late, we should go now hyung.” Taemin said.

“Okay, let’s go then.”

They all got into Jonghyun’s car and let out a sigh. “So who shall we send home first?”

“Me!” Luna raised her hand. “I’m exhausted.”

“Okay then Jinhee next, and then you can send your favourite dongsaeng Taemin home last.” Taemin chuckled. Luna smacked his arm. “I was just kidding sheesh. You can send Jinhee home last and your favourite dongsaeng Taemin next after Luna.” He snickered.

The car ride was quiet since everyone was tired. Luna and Taemin were dropped off first and they were already half asleep while walking to their door. Only Jinhee was left.

“Did you have fun Jinhee?” She turned away from the window to face him. “Yeah. I had a lot of fun. Thanks Jonghyun oppa.”

Jonghyun opened the door for her and walked her to her doorstep when they reached her stop. “Thanks for bringing us to town.” Jinhee said, walking up the steps to her front door.

“No problem. Glad you enjoyed it. So uh, goodnight?” Jonghyun let out a nervous laugh and rubbed the back of his head. “Goodnight Jonghyun oppa.” Jinhee waved and turned to enter her house.

“Wait, Jinhee …” She turned to face him again. “Yes?”

He shook his head and smiled. “Nothing I just … bye.” She smiled. “Bye.”

Jonghyun breathed out a sigh after the door closed behind her. He turned and walked towards his car. He heard the door open again after taking a few steps. “Jonghyun oppa. Thanks, for this.” She waved the dinosaur plushie. He nodded and waved goodbye again.
