“Byunghun, Byunghun I need you to listen to me. Tell me where you are right now first okay.” Chanhee tries to calm the younger down through the phone as he rushes out to put on his shoes.

“Wooshin you stay at home and wait for me, I’ll bring Byunghun back first.”

Wooshin nods cluelessly, watching Chanhee clumsily scrambles out of the house without bothering to close the door behind him. The redhead wheels himself to the door and closes it gently reminding himself to ask about what was going on once his brother returns.

Chanhee flings his phone and keys on the passenger seat of the car carelessly. With a turn of his car keys, the engine revs up and puffs of smoke gradually emits from the exhaust of the car. Without waiting for the engine to warm up the man drives off, slamming his foot down hard on the accelerator and maneuvers out onto the road quickly.

Leaning forward in his seat, Chanhee scans the area in a haste trying to look for Byunghun as he neared the location that the boy had given him. The eyebrows that were hooded over his eyes were furrowed together in concentration, his eyes darting around frantically hoping to spot the brunette quickly. He finally finds the boy on the floor leaning on a lamp post for support. Stopping the car right in front of the lamp post, Chanhee parks his vehicle and gets off the car before running over to Byunghun’s side. The younger was sitting on the floor and leaning heavily on the lamp post, his head slightly droopy like he didn’t have enough strength to hold it up. A cellphone lay in the palm of his right hand that was limp on the floor.

“Byunghun, it’s me Chanhee.”

Seeing no response, Chanhee pats Byunghun’s tear stained cheeks repeatedly finding it cold. On top of that the younger’s lips were hued purple making him appear wan. Realizing that Byunghun’s breathing was shallow, uneven and rapid Chanhee holds Byunghun up and let the boy lean onto his well built chest as he searched the younger’s pockets for an inhaler.

“Here, a deep breath first.” Chanhee pulls Byunghun’s fringe away from his forehead and puts his head on his shoulder, wedging the inhaler in between his lips and pumping the medication in.

“Better?”

Byunghun nods without looking at Chanhee, his expression void of emotion staring blankly ahead.

“Byunghun ah, we can’t do anything now. Think rationally alright let’s head home first. Come.” Chanhee scoops Byunghun into his arms and heaves the boy up from the floor before carrying him and putting him comfortably in the backseat of his car.

The buildings and trees passes them in a blur as Byunghun stares out of the window wordlessly, a thousand thoughts running through his mind as a tear rolled down his cheek.

“Chanhun…”

Chanhee and Wooshin exchanged worried glances as they looked on at Byunghun who had his phone glued in his palm, his eyes not leaving the screen even for a second.

After Chanhee had explained the situation to Wooshin, the latter had suggested asking the kidnapper for the address which Byunghun did with trembling fingers and was now anxiously waiting for a reply.

The phone vibrated and all three of them jumped in their seats. Byunghun hastily unlocks his phone with his shaky thumb.

An address comes up on his screen enclosed in the message and Wooshin types it into the GPS navigator on his phone.

“It’s a warehouse in the southern part of Seoul, in Gangbuk area.” Wooshin announces as he shows the exact location to Chanhee.

“I think we should just make a police report. And inform Myungsoo since his wife has been kidnapped too.” Chanhee shakes his head. It was too dangerous for them to head down, they have no idea what was the kidnapper’s intentions and who they were
