Chanhee finds himself foaming at the mouth when his sharp eyes spots the livid bruise peeking out from beneath Byunghun’s fringe that was covering his forehead as the latter slept. Storming out of the younger’s ward before stepping in front of the nurse desk and slamming his clenched fist hard on the table with a loud bang, he fiercely demands an explanation from the nurse as she shook her head vigorously in pure fright.

“Why is there such a bad bruise on Byunghun’s forehead? I thought we instructed all of you to keep a close watch and take good care of him. How could you be so careless?!”

“I really didn’t know Byunghun-sshi would fall… He said he didn’t need my help so I thought...” The nurse started stuttering in panic.

“You thought nothing. Use your brain to think, Lee Byunghun is paralysed waist down you shouldn’t have assumed that he could handle himself. Now he is hurt and it’s due to your carelessness.” Chanhee hissed brutally before turning his heel and strutting back into the ward leaving the nurse shaking.

“Chanhee hyung?” Byunghun mumbled as he rubbed his eyes with his fists and yawned sleepily.

“Yes? I’m right here.” Chanhee replies softly as he pats Byunghun on his head, making Byunghun lean in nearer and snuggle into Chanhee’s chest.

“Does it hurt?” Chanhee presses his lips gently on Byunghun’s bruise in an attempt to make the latter feel better.

And Byunghun nods, whining quietly.

“Don’t leave me.” Byunghun looks straight up into Chanhee’s eyes with the most innocent puppy look that could send everyone’s heart melting within a second.

Chanhee pursed his lips into a tight thin line. “I won’t, don’t worry.”

And Byunghun took that as an opportunity to wound his arms around Chanhee’s waist as he snuggled further into the cardiologist’s chest with a satisfied smile playing on his lips.

Thinking about how he had thrown himself out of his wheelchair and slammed his head hard onto the edge of the ceramic sink, Byunghun didn't expect the impact to be so hard that it sent him into unconsciousness but well that was a bonus.
