Sehun received a message from an unknown number during his lunch break asking him to meet the person tonight at the café near his hospital. Although it is an unknown number, it doesn’t take anyone to be a genius to know that is Jongin who send him the message.

He just replied a simple ‘OK’ and put back his phone in his pocket. Wondering why Jongin wants to meet him.

“This is it?”

Jongin nodded his head. “I don’t want to keep lying to myself anymore, Haru. Until the divorce paper is settled, then I guess we have to live separately.”

Haru grew softened. She really feel guilty towards him and she also has already advised him on not to do this kind of decision. She can’t handle it. Jongin has been by her side for a long time and with a sudden disappearance of him, she doesn’t know how she will survive later.

She looked at the few boxes and two big luggage belonged to him and sighed. “Don’t do this Jongin. We are still a couple.”

Jongin hold both of her shoulders and looked straight into her eyes. “I have to be selfish this time Haru. I did this for me. I can’t keep on living with you, sleeping with you when we clearly know you doesn’t love me anymore. As much as I already get used with your companion by my side during my tough times or happy times, now I need to get out from the comfort zone. Don’t make it harder please?” He then put his hand on her cheek. “I love you, Lee Haru. That’s why I’m doing this. I want you to be happy.” He whispered the last part.

“What about Daniel?”

Jongin silenced. His son. His own son. How can he manage to get through every single day without looking at Daniel cheekiness or how Daniel will run away whenever he wants to bath him, or when Daniel is having night mare and wants his daddy to put him to bed.

“I will drop by.”

He kissed her on the forehead a little bit longer than usual and Haru closed her eyes to savor the moment.

The bell rings when Sehun steps inside the coffee shop and he takes a little time to shake off his head, letting the snow falls on the red mat. Few eyes turns to look at him and couldn’t help but to mention about his height and his handsome face.

Jongin is sipping his cup of latte when he saw Sehun. He raised his hand and the doctor saw it. He nodded his head a bit to acknowledge him.

“Why do you want to meet me?”

Jongin smiled. “Order first.” At the same time, a male waiter comes to them and Sehun ordered himself a toffee nut latte. “Okay, what?”

Without saying anything, Jongin takes something out from his briefcase under the table and take out a brown envelope. Sehun grew confused when he slid it to him. “I should take a look of this?” Jongin nodded his head.

When the header of the letter greets him, Sehun eyes went wide. To confirm his assumption, he quickly takes out the letter and read it carefully. At the bottom of the letter, there got two signatures both belongs to Haru and Jongin.

“But, why?”

“Honestly speaking, it’s because of you.” Jongin shrugged. Sehun puts back the letter inside the envelope. “Me?”

“If it’s not because of your stupid reason in the past to ask Haru to pretend to be your girlfriend and end up making her pregnant, I will still be in her heart.”

“That is bull! We both clearly know who is the one she love during that time. Don’t put the blame on me when it’s you who are cheating on her.”

Sehun latte comes and Jongin takes the time to observed him.

“You are still the same, Sehun. You always protecting Haru and without you knew about it, you fall in love with her right?”

Sehun didn’t answered. He leaned back onto the round couch and look at Jongin. “So she agrees to divorce with you? And then what? What about Daniel?”

“At first, she don’t agree. She wants to stay with me. But I wanted to. I had done so many wrong things to her” Sehun whispered “yes you did” and of course he heard it, “that’s why I couldn’t bear to keep her around me anymore. To lose her is my choice to redeem my mistakes.”

He decided that he doesn’t want to tell Sehun about Haru feelings for him. Call him childish, but he wants to make this as his own little revenge.

“How long of this process will take?”

“I called the office just now, they said maybe around two months.” He smirked, “you need to wait for two months more before you can chase her again.” He then chuckled.

Sehun annoyingly looks at him, “What’s so funny?”

“You.”

“Where’s father?” Daniel look around the house since he didn’t saw his father at the kitchen, bathroom and his parent bedroom.

Haru frowned, now she doesn’t know how to tell Daniel about their divorce. She goes up to Daniel and pulls him for a hug before pulling him to sit on the couch and Haru kneeled in front of him.

“Daniel, do you know how Melissa has to go to her father house and her mother house sometimes?”

He nodded his head. “Melissa parent is divorced.” Haru eyes grew teary. “Yeah, and daddy and I have decided we should get a divorce.”

Soon, Daniel is sobbing. “But why?” he wipes away his tears, his nose is getting red now. “Is it because he doesn’t love me anymore?”

“Oh my god. No no no no no Daniel.” She wipes his falling tears, “Never ever ever assumed that. father loves you so much. I love you so much too. You are our number one.”

“Then why he wants to leave me?”

Haru couldn’t help but to cry to when she wiping his tears. “It’s because of me. I don’t know how to take care of father. I’m sorry Daniel. It’s all because of me.”

To see her son crying badly is the last thing Haru wants. She has been a bad mother and a bad wife.

“I’m sorry Daniel. I’m truly am.” She engulfed him and rocking his body side to side, hoping it will make him stop crying.

Sehun went home with a mixed feeling after his meeting with Jongin just now. He wants to feel happy because Haru is finally a single woman and he can start to chase her back. But when he remembers about Daniel, his heart grew heavy.

Jongin phone rings after Sehun finished his latte and he picks up the call.

“You told Daniel?”

Sehun eyes flicked towards him and he saw Jongin troubled face.

“Let me talk to him.”

Soon, Sehun can hear a sobbing sound coming from the other side of the line. Clearly it belongs to Daniel.

“No, don’t say that. I love you Daniel. You are my son. Don’t assume that.” He sighed. Jongin heart ached when he heard how bad Daniel is crying right now. “Daniel, please don’t cry.” He stops as suddenly words are too heavy to come out from his mouth.

“Daniel, listen to me. I will not leaving you alone. I will still see you and mother too. So, please, don’t cry Daniel.”

“I’m back.”

Changmin raised up his hand and urged Sehun to come sit beside him. He grumpily walks to him and plopped down on the couch.

“What happened?”

Sehun slid down a bit until he rests his head on the sofa pillow and put an arm over his eyes.

“They filed for a divorce. I should be happy but now I can’t stop thinking about Daniel.”

“They told Daniel too?”

“yeah, and that boy couldn’t stop crying on the phone. I feel bad hyung.”

Changmin sighed. “I knew things will become so complicated since they has a child together. I’m not talking about now Sehun. If you finally get Haru to become your wife again, you will still need to share him with Jongin since they have a child together. You can’t shut Jongin completely from her life.” He looked at Sehun who is now staring at the blank space.

“You will not return to the same place where you left her on that day anymore Sehun.”
