Sooyoung’s P.O.V

I still can’t believe what lay told me… he’s kidding right? All he did was real and he did intended to hurt me and not protect me nor my family right? I argued with the truth in my mind. I splashed my face with the cold tap water hoping it would wake me up from my dreams but unfortunately it isn’t a dream. I don’t know to face him right now, knowing the truth about the past… well past is past and it’s meant to be forgotten but I don’t know I just can’t seem to get over this… it’s not what I think it is right? I frowned and shake my head clearing the negative thoughts I am getting.

“Sooyoung, ACT NORMAL.” I told myself, slapping my face lightly.

I release a soft sigh before grabbing my towel and heading towards the shower.

As I finished my morning rituals, I headed out to the usual coffee shop and got my breakfast before heading to the office.

I was already inside the lift when the door opened again and Kris came in.  “Good Morning.” He greeted with a slight smile evident on his face.

I returned a slight smile before mumbling. “Morning.”

The way up to our office is silent, no one bothered talking after greeting each other and I can’t seem to speak up either feeling a bit weird.  As the door opened to the floor of our office he turned to me, “We’ll be having a meeting later, come by to my office so we’ll be able to discuss what the content of the meeting will be.” He said and I just nodded, letting him walk away before walking out on my own and into my own desk.

End of P.O.V

Sooyoung was in her desk when Kris decided to approach her. She was busy drafting the business proposal that was used in their meeting earlier that morning. He leaned behind her and watched how she drafted the proposal, sooyoung on the other hand stiffened upon contact with him she was surprised causing Kris to back away a bit.

“Oh sorry.” He said scratching the nape of his head.

“Ah- it’s alright, I was just surprised.” She said, giving him a soft smile.

“By the way, we are uhm.. planning on having dinner outside. Care to join us?” Kris shyly asked, looking at her.

“Sure, but I am not done with my work yet.” Sooyoung said pointing in her computer.

“It’s alright, you can finish that later or tomorrow.” He smiled and took her hand, pulling her with him.

“Wait- wait, I have to grab my coat and purse.” Sooyoung said and without answering Kris took it for her and dragged her along with him.

Sooyoung didn’t argue further since there was no use because he’s stronger so she just followed along.

“Oh they’re here.” Some of their officemates said.

Sooyoung just smiled as she gets the strange looks from some of the women with them, she finally figured out why and quickly retreats her hand away from his grip surprising him a little. He just frowned and turned to their other officemates.

“Let’s get going guys.” He said.

They all went to the nearest restaurant in their area which was just a few walks away from their office. Sooyoung remind silent as she watches Kris, tell jokes and laugh around their office mates.

How could I not see that coming? How come I didn’t know that it was all planned out. Sooyoung said through her mined and released a deep sigh.

“You alright?” Dara asked, soothing her back.

“I am fine, I guess I am just tired.” Sooyoung said giving her a smile.

“Aw should we go home together then? I’ll ask my boyfriend if we could drop you off first.” Dara offered.

“It’s fine, I can go home on my own.” She smiled.

“Isn’t luhan going to pick you up?” Dara asked.

“Well he’s busy right now.” Sooyoung said chuckling.

“But I insist though.” Dara said and Sooyoung just smiled patting her shoulder.

“It’s alright.”

As their dinner ended, they all parted their ways. Sooyoung walks to the bus stop and waited for the next bus to stop since she missed the first one. Instead of a bus stopping, a black Mercedes stopped and Kris popped out as he rolled his window down.

“Get in.” He said.

“It’s alright, I’ll just wait for the bus.” Sooyoung said.

“Get in.” He repeated.

“I told you-“ she was cut off by kris.

“Don’t make me carry you inside.” He warned.

Sighing in defeat, sooyoung stood up from the shed and walked to his car.

“There, happy?” She said snickering.

“Much better, it’s late and the bus will come by after half an hour, you wouldn’t want to wait that long.” He says leaning towards her, sooyoung’s eyes widens and she quickly pushes him away.

“What are you doing?” She asks, glaring at him.

Kris looks at her in confusion before laughing then he turns to her with a smirk. “What did you think I’ll do hm?” He asked, cocking his eyebrows.

“Nothing.” Sooyoung said looking away.

“Psh. Buckle up.” Kris said before starting to hit the road again.

The ride home was quite silent, only the music boosting out from the car’s stereo can be heard and Kris humming along the song. The ride was not long for they arrive at Sooyoung’s apartment after fifteen minutes.

Kris opened the door for her and walked her to the main entrance. “Good Night.” He said, smiling.

Sooyoung returned the smile and nodded. “Good night and Thanks for the ride.”

Kris just nodded and before leaving he left a peck on Sooyoung’s cheeks. “See you tomorrow.” He said and turned around not waiting for her to reply but what he saw, rather who he saw when he turned is someone he wasn’t expecting. Luhan was standing a few steps behind then, his deathly glares boring on to kris and in a matter of seconds, Kris was tackled on the ground by the angry luhan, he was throwing punches at Kris and kris on the other hand didn’t punch back, he was just dodging him the best he can.

“How dare you touch my girl!” Luhan shouted angrily, throwing more punches on him.

Sooyoung on the other hand was shocked, she froze on her spot but then regain herself and started pulling Luhan away from him.

“Stop Luhan please stop.” Sooyoung pleaded, as she successfully pulled luhan up only to get a glare from him.

“We need to talk.” He said in between gritted teeth.

“Nae..” Sooyoung just softly said.

Kris was on his feet again and tried holding Luhan’s shoulder. “It’s not her fault, it was mine.” He said.

Luhan just shoved his hand away.

“Kris Just leave…” Sooyoung said, looking at him pleadingly.

“But..”

“Leave!”

And Kris did, he quickly walked back in his car
