“Hello, Seung Hyun’s phone, what do you want?” The woman’s voice made my blood boil. “Who is this?” I heard Hyun’s voice on the other side, talking to the girl. “Um… this is a friend of Seung Hyun’s.”. I get a comfortable feeling about it. “Where is Hyun?” I asked, firmer. If this girl wanted to play with me, she messed with a wrong woman.  “He’s right here with me.” She replied and  I heard movement  on the other side and the girl’s voice, saying, “hey, hey, take it easy baby. Uh…” She stopped for a while and I stood up, holding my breath. “Oh my… Which one is Belle…” She asked me, breathless. I looked at the phone, frowning and finally I heard his voice.  “Belle, I can explain.” Hyun said, and I hear the girl giggling behind him.              “Owh! You are his cousin, Belle right?!! I’m Gong Min Ji, well, Minzy!” The woman greeted me cheerfully. He did tell me that you will be home. But since you were not here, I got in with my spare keys.    She walked up and held out her hand for a shake.    “What?” I asked, still clueless.    “I got in with my spare keys… to take Seung Hyun’s clothes.. He might stay till tomorrow.” She explained and I tried to wrap my head around the fact.    “You have spare keys?”    She nodded, and smiled innocently. “Well, I’m his girlfriend. Suddenly, I felt like the air rushing into my lungs, and the paper bag in my hand fell on the floor.    “Are you okay? Gosh.. ” She asked and I nodded, lifting it back, stuttered.    “Listen, I got to go. Seung Hyun was waiting for me in the Bistro. Talk to you later, okay?” She rushed out, closing the door behind her, and I collapsed on the floor.    Girlfriend. Is that why he was too busy to be with me? I didn’t realize my phone rang a few times, as I walked to the mini bar, and poured myself a drink.    And I, needed to find my own way to buy the dress, worked my off around the house, and need to face the embarrassment of literally the niceness of Min Ho for my advantage.   The liquor felt like fire, burning the pit of my lungs, and I cried.    Maybe she was lying? A small voice inside my head came out. But if she did, how come she has that spare key? No one gives someone a spare key, unless they give that person a permission to go in and out of their house easily.        I’m tired. I’m damn tired.      One shot, and another. I couldn’t remember how much did I drink. But I could feel my ears ringing and my fingers trembled as I lifted the bottle for more.    Who am I? His maid? The one who did all the chores for him. Just a thing ‘friends’ do?   I slumped forward after the bottle finished and reached out to take another bottle when I lost my balance and I fell from the stool, to the floor, laughing at my stupidity. For falling off the stool and falling for his lies.    “God, Belle! What are you doing?!” A voice came up and shook my shoulder. My head was very heavy, that my neck couldn’t stand straight. I turned my head and saw a figure, but I couldn’t make out who was it.    “Hyun?” I asked and I punched him as he tried to lift me and cradled me.    “Why did you lie to me?” I asked, and cried. I hit his chest few times, till I couldn’t lift my arms anymore. He put me on the bed, and pulled the blanket over me.    “I’m your girlfriend, not her. I love you. Why don’t you love me” I whispered, he hushed me and the light faded.              XIXIXIXIXIXIXIXIXIX             When I woke up, my mouth felt like scorpion had nested there and the room spun, I turned to my right and saw a glass of water on the bedside table, and I drank it, holding my head, trying to remember what had happened.    I walked out of the bed and washed my face, looking at my bloodshot eyes and gaunt expression.    “Yup, I’ll never drink ever again.” I whispered, with a croaking voice.    What happened last night? I remembered that Min Ji girl, coming over, saying that she is Hyun’s girl. And I drank.. But that’s all I remember.   Suddenly I smelled something delicious and I walked out of the bathroom, before going downstairs in dazed.    “You….” I called out, croaking.    “Good Morning Mademoiselle.,” Min Ho was standing in the kitchen, chopping something. He was cooking, the pot sizzled and he placed a frying pan on the next stove.    “What are you doing here?” I asked, looking around, searching for Hyun.    He cracked an egg in the pan. “Sunny side up or scrambled?” He asked, ignoring my question.    “Sunny Side… “ I was persuaded for a while of the smell. “What the hell are you doing in MY HOUSE?!” I turned back to the first question and glanced at the wall clock. 6 am.
