Special Night

An Angel's Promise To The Sky
LEETEUK AND SORA continued their filming after Leeteuk sobered up and was given an OK signal to proceed with the filming. They walked along the island and see the beautiful sights Nami Island has to offer. Tried riding the bike and Leeteuk taught Sora how to ride it, then they decided to give the couple bike a try just like how the other couples do it.

After a few minutes of walking, they ended up on a pond which offers a boat ride to the tourists and most of the people there are couples like them. Leeteuk rowed the boat away from the dock while Sora turned the videocam on to shoot Leeteuk, much to her enjoyment of seeing Leeteuk's muscles flexing while he moved.

"Hello. Are you visiting the Island alone, Mister?" Sora wittingly asked Leeteuk, which he obliged on playing along with her,

"Yes. Are you enjoying your time here, Miss? Are you with someone?" Leeteuk asked playfully to Sora in return, with a grin on his face

"No. I'm here alone." Sora replied back,

"You're alone? A beautiful girl like you being alone is impossible to believe." Leeteuk commented, "I believe you are on a date."

"Then why don't you date me instead. You're my type, Mister." Sora said,

"Really? That's too bad 'coz I already have a wife." Leeteuk said again that made Sora blush,

"I - is your wife beautiful?" Sora asked stammering with her words,

"Of course. She's my Princess and I'm very loyal to her, so as much as you want me, you can't have me 'coz I'm already taken." Leeteuk answered and showed Sora his ring.

They stayed on the boat rowing around the pond until the sun was about to come down which made them decide to have a special dinner date at the Island. Sora reserved an entire room for the two of them to dine at  where they ordered the restaurant's specialties,

Leeteuk thought of the other WGM couples and compared their on-screen progress from the other two,

Is it time for me to ask Sora-ya for a on-screen kiss here? I can do it, right? The atmosphere is perfect...

"Sora-ya, we have been married for about 9 months now, right? We started last September and been together since then." Leeteuk said that made her just nod in reply,

"Do you know that not having skinship is a ground for divorce, Sora-ya?" Leeteuk said without looking at her,

"Mweo? Do you want a divorce then?" Sora immediately asked Leeteuk,

"No. I'm just telling you that it can be a ground for divorce and I don't mean anything like that." Leeteuk said defensively, "But you know, I'm telling the truth about that."

Leeteuk had a bite of his pasta dish to ease out his awkwardness and fed Sora some of it,

"Leeteuk oppa, I will just go to the powder room to freshen up." Sora said afterwards that startled Leeteuk,

Why going to the powder room while the shoot is ongoing? Is she really going to leave me here alone?

Leeteuk just nodded to agree and continued eating, "Mweorago? She really left me here all alone? Aish!" he then said, whining alone while eating,

Then suddenly, the lights turned off and the room was filled in total darkness,

"Hey! Who turned off the lights? We're still here!" Leeteuk shouted then a single light focused on the side of the room where he saw Sora sitting in front of a piano with a big red sequined ribbon on her head,

"He may be the face I can't forget, the trace of pleasure and regret, maybe my treasure or the price I have to pay.." Sora started playing the piano and singing at the same time,

Leeteuk was really dumbfounded on Sora's surprise for him. Thinking of the effort she made for him.. Driving all the way to Nami and spending time with him, even planning the dinner in front of him made him emotional that he can't stop tearing up while looking at his Princess while she continued singing and glancing at him,

After the song, Sora went out again and brought back a white cake with his name on top of it, served as the candles,

"This is my birthday present to you, oppa since we're not going to be together again on that day. Our schedules are in conflict with it. So I'm celebrating it with you now." Sora said that made Leeteuk smile and appreciate what she did,

"It's going to be your very own white day, oppa." Sora informed her again,

"White day?"

"Yeah. Your favorite color is white, so I'm giving you a white cake." Sora answered wittingly, "Ah! There's more!" she continued and left Leeteuk alone again,

She came back with a big white box, "This is my gift for you, oppa."

Leeteuk went ahead and opened the big box and it revealed several things that are in white, including a pair of sunglasses, a white fedora hat, handkerchief, bottle of white wine, a big white chocolate (which melted a bit) and even a pair of underwear.

Leeteuk blushed and instinctively placed the underwear infront of him,

"Don't you know that they say you have to wear all the gifts that are given to you? Should I wear this now?" Leeteuk commented that made Sora blush red,

"I guess I'll try a little bit later. Why don't we take the wine instead and celebrate?" Leeteuk said instead and Sora agreed immediately,

Leeteuk also recieved a heart filled letter from Sora and also 3 wish coupons that he can use; a cleaning coupon, a cooking coupon and a one wish coupon.

They sat back on the table and opened the white wine.  Both of them took a sip on the glass and talked more about each other, Leeteuk later decided that they should do a wedding toast while they are having their wine which Sora obliged to do so,

Sora became attentive on Leeteuk when he took a gulp of the wine, knowing that he gets drunk fast and tried to take the glass away to stop him from drinking but Leeteuk moved his glass away from her,

"Don't take it. I can handle myself, Princess." Leeteuk said and Sora can't do anything but just gave in,

"Are you planning to use one of your coupons, oppa?" Sora asked Leeteuk that made him scan the coupons again,

"Are you really going to grant whatever coupon I use?" Leeteuk asked back,

"Yeah."

"Do you have an idea on what kind of wish I'm going to ask you?" Leeteuk asked again, showing her the one wish coupon that she gave,

"I think I have an idea on that, oppa." Sora replied back,

"Really? What is it then?" Leeteuk asked again,

"It's not something I can say on broadcast though..." Sora answered,

Mweo? What is she talking about? Has she forgotten that we're filming WGM right now? I'm just planning to ask for a kiss and nothing else

"What are you talking about?" Leeteuk asked her,

"I really can't tell you on broadcast though. I will whisper it to you. Come closer." Sora said and moved her hand to Leeteuk,

Sora stood a bit from her chair and acted as if she's going to whisper something on Leeteuk but it turned out that Sora gave Leeteuk a kiss on his cheek that made him blush beet red. Same happened on Sora's face.

The PD ended the shoot for the episode and started packing things up, while Sora's Manager watched for Leeteuk's moves knowing that he's a bit drunk,

"Leeteuk-ssi, gwenchana?" Sora's Manager asked while walking at his side,

"Ne. Gwenchana." Leeteuk answered and tapped Sora's manager's back,

"Leeteuk-ssi, there's something that I want to give you," he said again, "Taeyeon-ssi gave me this to give to you." he said while handling Leeteuk a letter,

"Should I take a look at that, hyung?" Leeteuk asked back while staring at the letter, "Why don't you just help me out on what I'm planning instead? Let's not bother ourselves with unimportant things, shall we?" he said and flew the letter on the trashcan that they passed by.

Leeteuk and Sora's Manager went to the bar of the restaurant after the crew had gone to their hotel rooms,

"Are you planning to drink again, Leeteuk-ssi? Have you not enough wine when you drank with Sora-ya?" the manager asked while looking at Leeteuk sitting at the bar,

"Not really, hyung. But I would take some though 'coz there's something I really want to talk to you about and for that, I'm going to buy you a drink." Leeteuk said and ordered a glass of Four Roses and took a sip. Leeteuk instantly got red after he took his drink,

"Are you really fine, Leeteuk-ssi? You're drunk already." the manager commented while looking at Leeteuk,

"Don't mind that, hyung. I just want to tell you about some of my plans and then I want you to agree with me. You like me and Sora to be together, right?" Leeteuk said and the manager just nodded, "Then, can I ask you a favor and do some things for me, then?"

"Alright, tell me what you have in mind..."

The Fading of Bright Stars

In the years we shared work spaces, seldom did our hours crossed. She worked night shifts, while I move around across different time zones to meet the demands of my profession. She was a luminary; a survivor of countless excisions when the demands of work is lesser than what is required of human resources. And if not for the months-long infirmity last year, she would have endured the most recent culling. She became part of the statistics, only to return when a colleague flew abroad to get married and live with her fiancé.

A fine lady in her early 30's, one would easily mistake her for an East Asian. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, and her porcelain skin is the envy of many. Her gauntly frame, albeit a cause of concern, hardly bothers any. Colleagues would tell she eats nothing but Chippy and Coke. But who are we to forbid her of such pleasures? She delivers, and for all we care, satisfied are we of her job performance.

Talk is an avocation the two of us hardly engage. Reason lies in office hierarchy, but more so, because we respect each other's solitary leanings. But this doesn't mean ambivalence, or hidden disdain. Words may have never articulated what my thoughts were, but I've always regarded her in high esteem.
